Reviews for Bluesun Hotel Berulia

Review 1:no negative commnent

Review 2:High qualitity at the reception desk, very flexible; the room was very clean; the waiter at the dinner was perfect - suggested the best choice of vine - like a top sommelier - and was very informative about the "marriage between food and wine" -superb.

Review 3:Fantastic location with stunning sea views from the hotel. Lovely clean pool and five minutes from the beach. Pine trees run along the shoreline and there are steps down to the beach but a fair trade off for the beautiful coastline.

Review 4:The hotel implied it was a spa, It wasn't. The spa at hotel Soline was mediocre. There was only one restaurant open, the wine tasting was cancelled. No attempt was made to integrate the groups who were from different coutries The cost of taxis

Review 5:The food. The talk on Croatian history. I left 2 days early but the hotel agreed not to charge me.

Review 6:Could have been more helpful on the front desk - unanswered questions on our booking form etc.

Review 7:A hillside location between Brela and Baska Voida, really good for coastal walking and swimming opportunities (take beach shoes). Stunning scenery

Review 8:Hotel is quite old, still very clean, but the rooms are small and they certainly need some refurbishment to keep the 4* standards. Wifi isn't really working I the rooms but is quite good in the common areas. Food is of a very good quality, but one could wish for more variety (we were there 9 nights - half board) and please use some spices like salt and pepper to start of.

Review 9:Location of this hotel is absolutely beautiful. There is a very quiet beach 50 meters from the hotel with a clear water. We have been traveling to other places nearby always appreciating our location. It is very private yet close to the restaurants and bigger towns like Makarska.

Review 10:- bathroom is small; - bed was too hard for me (but it was very OK for my partner). We had double bed with a huge gap between two beds, gap was about 5cm. I’ve never seen double room with such a uncomfortable gap between beds. It’s not romantic at all;  - we had a seaview room and we were able to listen the music from bar until 11p.m – which is ok, if you don’t want to sleep. This music is too loud. Another problem with this seaside room was that tour people were awake early in the morning (around 7a.m) and they were quite noisy when they sat outside and talking and laughing (before or just after having breakfast) and we tried to sleep with our windows opened. - chairs and umbrellas at the beach cost 30 kunas each item, so 90kunas everyday. I find it little bit expensive as the hotel room price was also quite high. And you need chairs cause there are so many small stones in the beach (water shoes also recommended). Maybe the beach wasn’t operated by hotel, but by some other local company, and hotel can’t set the price.

Review 11:+ Very good location - right on the beach (which is luxury for hotels in this area, as there are only few hotels right next to the beach). Beach was nice, chairs available, nice views. + excellent breakfast, plenty of choice, many different fruits, fresh vegetables etc. I think it’s the best breakfast I’ve ever had in a hotel. + hotel is situated on the hill, so there are many stairs and different levels and this makes hotel’s territory very interesting and cozy. + close to the Baška Voda town, which has more cafes and restaurants than Brela city itself.

Review 12:This would be valid for all hotels: why can't I put my own drinks into the refrigerator without taking out the abnormally expensive drinks from it?! I have no idea, who buys these two sip drinks for that price.... Would these drinks be sold for reasonable prices, probably more would be consumed.

Review 13:We are returning guests with a yearly increasing number of friends. We like the quiet surrounding, the beach with the pine trees (at least at the beginning of June it is guiet). We prefer the small pebbles vs. sand...

Review 14:poorly designed resort on georgeous property. Staff overworked. Tour bus after tour bus. Food ok, but not great. The whole experience was a compromise.

Review 15:Not far from town

Review 16:Few small things but not worth mentioning.

Review 17:The stay was excellent overall. The staff was helpful, the room clean and the grill restaurant food really nice! Highly recommend this hotel. Probably not a full 4 star but definitely stands out from all other hotels I saw in Brela.

Review 18:Too many stears. Elevator not available for all levels. No wifi in the room and dining room. Old swimming pool. Not worthed 4 stars. Relativelly poor value for money

Review 19:Hotel architecture very nice and pleasent. Surronding beaches are beautifull, very clean, nice for families with kids. Cosy and tastey grill bar

Review 20:Taxi driver, came (ordered from the hotel 2 hours before) and we where 2 min late and he was so angry!!! (spoke only German) Ordered by the the Hotel. The next one to the airport to Split was nice. He was nice.

Review 21:One guy at he the terracce grill-so funny and nice. -both kids and I loved him! the woman at the gift shop-so nice and not trying to sell you anything. Just sweet and proffesional! PS! Not as expencive as one might think!

Review 22:The hotel claims to be a four star, but I think a three star rating would be more correct. The rooms are old, and badly in need of refurbishing and painting. At times, a pretty bad smell (like a sewer) spread through the roomsm which was pretty off-putting. The wifi was unreliable at best. The hotel restaurant served pretty mediocre food, but the grill bar by the beach was good. All in all I would give it a good rating as a three star tourist hotel, but as long as it claims to be a four star I think it misses the mark on too many points.

Review 23:The location is good, very close to the beach and beautiful surroundings. Staff were mostly helpful and attentive. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere.

Review 24:No complaints - probably on the lower end of 4 star, and that is just because it is more a holiday hotel, but the facilities etc were good and the location excellent. Would definitely recommend for families.

Review 25:The hotel runs lots of entertainment programmes for both adults and children. You can do various fitness classes like Zumba, and can even learn to speak Croatian - I did 4 of these and found them very useful. It allows you to say things like please and thank you and ask for coffee etc. the girl who takes it is very patient and it is good fun (you can see it on Facebook as the filmed it when I was there! The breakfast is good and there is always plenty, they charge u extra for cappuccino or freshly squeezed orange juice (the ones out the machines taste watered down). We just didn't drink it. We didn't eat in the restaurant at night, but ate at the grill bar which is good and the staff there are really nice - especially Boris! He always asked if we had a discount coupon, which you can get at reception and you get 10% off your bill (you can ask for more when you run out). The pool is good and you can usually get a sun bed as most people go down the beach which is spectacular. You have to pay for the beds etc at the beach, but can buy mats for about £7 which are padded and fine as its a pebble beach. You can get beach towels at the hotel for a deposit which is returned at the end of the holiday (you can swap them every day for fresh ones). The location of the hotel is great as it is in the middle of Brela and Baska Voda, so you can walk to either of them. Not really a hotel with mobility issues as there are about 130 steps down to the beach! Hotel has lifts to rooms, but not sure if any down to restaurant. Staff are all very helpful, Maria at reception went out her way to help me find out if I could take 2 kittens home (there were 7 and I think everyone feeds them, but hopefully that will continue through the wintertime). Unfortunately no animal shelters, and they were too small to take to UK without spending 6 months in quarantine.

Review 26:Loved it - very relaxing stay situated 120 steps above the beach. Nice room very helpful staff, lovely stay.

Review 27:The room has a smsll window(hill view) and it was so dump. This is not 4 star room.

Review 31:In restaurant in main dish is not included price for dish side.

Review 51:Very little to do in rainy/windy weather, if any. Limited selection of food for vegetarians.

Review 52:Personel is super kind. Ante and Ante at the reception are very much helpful, the she-head of the reception is also very friendly.

Review 53:Limited selection of food for vegetarians. Very slow internet connection in rooms. Beds are not very comfortable (bit too soft).

Review 54:Personel was very kind and always customer friendly. They upgraded our room immediately after we complained about poor internet connection and limmited view from balcony, without any extra charge.

Review 55:The noise of the central air conditioner.

Review 56:The hotel is situated just at the beach in the beautiful area with pine tries. It has its own swimming pool, very nice personnel esp. animation team. Each day there are activities for kids and adults. If you are bored with the hotel life you may go to the beach or in the evening - visit bars in Baska Voda or Brela.
