Review 1：I had the opportunity to stay at the New Aegli for three days, then went to Athens for a few days, later bringing my friend back with me to the New Aegli to enjoy a few more days.The staff were very accomadating, trying to be helpful with any requests. they provided me with a kettle and my friend with an ironing board and iron upon request ( we were very happy with this as even four and five star hotels did not have this available to us).I was very happy with my first room on the first floor right next to the swimming pool ( due to it being low season there were not many guests and no disturbance).My room overlooked the sea and the hills, a truly, lovely view. The hotel was a 4 euro / 5 minute taxi drive from the port in town. The room was very clean, and double bed (two singles pushed together with a mattress topper on top) were very comfortable. The t.v worked well and had a range of channels (never understand when people complain about not enough channels in English...some were in English, most in Greek...enjoy Greece!)My room was cleaned daily and bed made/ sheets changed/ towels changed. All shampoos and conditioners and soaps given daily. The bath in my first room on the pool floor was great, a little small but I am tall, and it was still lovely. My second room on the third floor had a different bathroom layout, a slight wall dividing the toilet and the bath, I liked this bathroom less as this wall could be a little annoying ( get in the way). You are also provided with a fridge, this was good, although slightly noisy at times.I tried breakfast once for 8€. It was lacking to me, cold cuts of meat,eggs ( cold) fruit, juice,etc... it just was not for me and I'm not picky! I suggest you take the pathway at the front of the hotel ( beach side) walk ten minutes and walk to the oddesey...their food was delicious and inexpensive.

Rooms clean & beautiful views from the balcony. Good parking as we hired a car & drove from Athens to Poros via Galatas. We will be going again

Review 7：Some things not so good - the shower over the bath arrangement is rather old fashioned now, a walk-in cubicle or wet room approach would work better. On two days during our stay of 13 the mains water was cut off - not the hotel's fault - but the recovery afterwards left us with no hot water for a wash or shower for more than 24 hours after each incident. Not good enough for a '4 star' hotel. For us, we were unable to shower before checking out after a whole day without a shower or hot water, which made us feel rather frustrated. The rather loud heavy dance music from the beach kiosk set up was neither up to date or appropriate. Less is good here. Finally, there seemed to be a lack of staff in the bar and dining room area, and the dining facilities lacked appeal. There needs to be more service in the lounging areas, better to be asked than to go and find someone to serve you.

Review 8：Well presented Hotel, which has updated many features over a couple of years. The new Kiosk facing the beach, with beach service is a good idea. Free beach sun loungers is a good development. The situation and room presentation remains as good as ever.

Review 11：The front desk attendants were very friendly & had a motherly quality to them. Also, the cost compared to the quality of the hotel wasn't even close. It was such a nice hotel and the rate per night was wonderfully inexpensive.

Review 12：Receptionist (small, dark haired girl, with glasses) was miserable as sin, never smiled, seemed unhelpful and couldn`t even operate the computer properly when I asked for help with printing boarding passes. The older lady (lighter coloured hair, also with glasses) however, was very helpful and pleasant. Restaurant and bar staff all seemed miserable and bored.

You can walk downtown for more nightlife, restaurants, and shops or you can enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner at the hotel. Extremely kid friendly -- we extended our stay -- a true vacation!

Review 23：Pool safety is worrying. No life guard and no instructions on what to do in an emergency. One man got into trouble in deep end and was rescued by 2 other guests. Buffet is not great for breakfast. If you get up late then bacon is not available and other foods. Restaurant standard for evening meals is mediocre.

Review 31：We know and like the New Aegli Hotel, after several previous visits. There have been quite a few well executed improvements to the Reception / Bar area, and between the Hotel and the Beach. The location and rooms and staff remain as good as ever.

Review 32：The food on the first night was lovely, although the waiting staff were very abrupt and not very friendly, but the meal on the Greek night was not very good. We found the male waiting staff in the restaurant and bar very abrupt throughout our stay. The bathrooms were extremely small.

There was building work going on outside, which, perhaps, we should have been warned about, a temporary problem though. There was a broken sunbed at the pool, which could have been dangerous.

Review 106：By Greek standards a comfortable hotel, with simple but very adequate facilities, in a stunning location overlooking the nearby beach and the approaches to Poros harbour. Very acceptable food at a price a little less than most of the restaurants and tavernas in the Town. Friendly staff. The hotel is busy adding to its facilities and will soon have quite a presence close to the beach, where currently there is no cafe or shop.

Poros is a beautiful Island, and the view from the hotelwas georgeous, but hotel itself is not worth the money they charge. Itgets really chanllenging when you stay there with kids.

Review 120：I booked a room for 2 with 1 child and 1 infant, the room was too small even for 3 not to mention 4. the room basically is for 2. there was no electrical kettle in the room so we had to ask twice a day for water from the bar for the baby which was very inconvenient. the room should have called just as apartment for rent and not a hotel, since there was nothing that reminded a hotel other then a dining room where one could order breakfast ,lunch and dinner, so that was a disappointment

Review 121：the location of the hotel is perfect , right across the best beach, close to Tavernas and supermarket, a bit more far from the port, but we rented a 4 wheel so we drived around the island (with the older child)and the nature is heavenly beautiful
