Reviews for Villa Paula
Review 1:Despite all rooms on pictures have shower cabins, ours had a shower with quite an old curtain. We managed to change the room after one night, but think other travellers should know about this anyway
Review 2:Very helpful staff, overall neatness of the place
Review 3:There was a power cut one evening for the whole road, although the candles were romantic having no A/C or being able to charge cameras/mob. etc was a bit of a downer.
Review 4:The friendliness of the staff and their local knowledge was very helpful. This is not a criticism of just this hotel but I do wish there was No smoking in restaurants and other public spaces as we have here.
Review 5:Anna the receptionist was so helpful and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. She directed us to some beautiful secluded beaches and gave us tips on our travel plans. Location short drive to beaches and walking distance to main town area but quiet at night. Lovely sea view.
Review 6:This is nothing to do with the hotel!!!!! But worth noting to othertravels!! As it is on an island, there is only one road out whichgets very very busy in the morning. It took us over an hour to get tothe airport. Like I said nothing to do with the hotel but worthpointing out!
Review 7:Stayed for one night to relax before flight home. Great hotel and lovedthe 2 pools. Staff were great. Had a room that was on the top floor withgreat views, 2 balconies! Very nice indeed!
Review 8:I didnt like that we weren't able stay longer.
Review 9:We loved the staff and the location...just a few minutes walk to the beach and marina. Lovely in-house restaurant and cafe.

Review 14:NOTHING
Review 15:The hotel is cosy but very beautiful and fancy. Location is great, wide and amazing breakfast, free tea and coffee at the lobby all day but the icing on the cake was the staff, truly lovely and helpful. It was a pleasure stay there, definitely recommended.Thank you Villa Paula.
Review 16:Breakfast has no variety although they could do it, the dinner is far better. Since there's no elevator if you get a room on th 4th floor, it could be a problem. There are a few parking places, sometimes it can be difficult to find one in the evening.
Review 17:Good location, the beach (5 min) and the port (10 min) is near, the view is beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are not well equipped but clean. The restaurant is good, portions are big (especially the tuna steak which is enough for two people) and tasty.
Review 18:Distance from boat was further than I expected, and all up hill, but it was do-able.
Review 19:Friendly, homey atmosphere. Great value. Good food. Would definitely stay again. Took boat over to Trogir and spent a delightful day exploring that interesting city.
Review 20:Absolutely nothing to criticise or not to like.
Review 21:We enjoyed ALL aspects of our stay here which was exactly as advertised: Very helpful, friendly, informative and professional staff led by very competent manager Ana; Good food including great value restaurant; Very very clean; Simply furnished and comfortable rooms with one or our rooms having a great sea view; Villa within easy walking distance of main beach and resort with restaurants, bars and shops; Easy and ( traffic allowing ) quick transfer from Split airport; Safe, clean pool area.

Review 26:Super friendly staff. Perfect location
Review 27:Everything very very nice. Thank you staff!!
Review 28:Address is given as Trogir but it is actually another suburb further away. If following GPS you end up in the wrong place.

Review 33:We had an amazing stay here at Villa Paula with our 2 kids (9 months and 3 years old), we were here for a week. The staff were fantastic and everything was 'no problem!' They went out of their way to make our stay as wonderful & easy as possible. The place was super clean which was great when travelling with a 9 month old who was starting to get around. the staff always had a small for the children although they at times were very energetic and loud. Sabina, Anna, Ann Marie, Veritsa, Angelina, the wonderful cook and the Mama & Papa - a big Thank You for making our holiday a wonderful experience! There were so many things they helped us with; washing, baby food, booking facials, boating trips, renting bikes, rescuing toy cars from the swimming pool, transfers to airport & trips to trogir etc. The food was excellent both dinners and lunches. We felt so well cared for and would without reservation recommend Villa Paula and its wonderful staff for families travelling with small children.
Review 34:No downside. If driving make sure leave plenty time to get through town in early morning. Two narrow bridges cause serious traffic jams !!
Review 35:Excellent value, helpful staff, clean, quiet position, easy walking distance of sea front. Definitely recommend, everything required at a good value without extra cost of unnecessary facilities.
Review 36:That we only booked 3 nights!Should have stayed longer!
Review 37:Home away from home..The rooms are spotless.!The service is exquisite. Excellent attention to details .Breakfast is perfect. Try the Corn bread its fantastic.Location is great just a short drive from Trogir.Sabina, the manger gives guests the personal touch.Just great!!!Everything just tip top perfect! If ever back in the area this is the place we will stay!
Review 38:Cannot fault the staff they were extremley helpfull and friendly, villa paula is excellent value for money, location was very good and would happily recommend to others
Review 39:Everything was great! From the super friendly staff, good and hearty breakfast to tastiest in the world of food in the restaurant! Rooms, restaurant and surroundings were wonderfully clean! I recommend to everyone! Sve je bilo super! Od super ljubaznog osoblja, dobrog i obilnog dorucka do preukusne hrane u restoranu! Soba, restoran i okolica bili su predivno cisti! Preporucam svakome!
Review 40:restaurant wasnt that good.
Review 41:Very nice and helpfull staff, lovely pool. Comfortable and clean room. Good breakfast. Location is nice, I rented a bike to get around the island and visit Trogir.
Review 42:The region is extremely crowded. We had to go to another part of the island for a less crowded beach. In the hostel in out forst room the air condition was compleely broken. In the next it was half-cold, to say so. hard to sleep at night. Outside the hotel is very crowded fast main road.
Review 43:I liked the terrace and the possibilyty to eat the breakfast there. The staff was frendly and answered to all of our our questions and complaints although they weren't solved in the end.
Review 44:very nice family run hotel. ideal for romantic holiday and lazy day on the beach which is only two minutes away on foot. The majority of the staff were exceptionally friendly and continuously helpful and always said hello to you and asked how you were with a warm honest smile which we feel homely. breakfast was lovely and food in hotel restaurant was perfect, best tuna steaks with grilled vegetables we ever ate. our room was spotless and all area in hotel, restaurant and pool area too. pool was small, but it place behind house make you feel private and you can enjoy in one of their free deckchair without a lot of eyes around. we are sorry that didn't book longer our stay, wanted, but all rooms were booked so could't stay longer, but definatelly will return next year and will recomend to all our friends and family! well done!
Review 45:Putting a small fridge in the room would be a great idea.
Review 46:Really enjoyed my stay here, it was clean and comfortable, the included breakfast was great and the staff were really friendly and helpful.
Review 47:Pool area a little small with limited place to sit Large banner saying Fish, Meat & Pizza along balcony cheapens the restaurant - they are better than that!
Review 48:Location for us was good - Okrug centre is very busy and we would not have wanted to be staying there. Easy to get to Trogir by taxi- boat, a really nice thing to do. You really need a car to explore the island. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially Anna Marie & Sandra Rooms very clean & tidy Large shaded dining area Relaxed atmosphere
Review 49:The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was spaceful and clean. Very nice pool-area. Very good breakfast. And the hotel-restaurant was excellent. Close to beach, restaurants and taxi-boat to Trogir.
Review 50:close to airport close to the beach you could get comprehensive help in any question (rent a car or boat, information about excurtions, etc) directly from the owner
Review 51:They failed to charge us for the restaurant bill when we checkedout so they did spend some time hassling me to pay and make up fortheir mistake. Smoking was allowed in the restaurant area, I.E.near small children.
Review 52:Quite child-friendly, good size room, close to the beach, friendlystaff. It's a decent hotel which was just what we were looking forto cover us for 3 days before returning home. The kids enjoyed the pool, although it did get quite crowded.
Review 53:Quite a steep slope on the way home from the beach.
Review 54:Staff was very friendly, and had a nice family-feel. Breakfast was good although not huge. Quite small pool but very well kept outdoor spaces. Five minutes to clean but crowded beaches.
Review 55:Brilliant hotel in a wonderful location. Staff were great, rooms clean. The sea is only a few minutes away and the hotel restaurant is excellent. Villa Paula is a perfect place to relax from the crowded cities and touristic holiday resorts. The location was perfect, close enough toTrogir and enjoy all the town has to offer but we were able to get a peaceful nights sleep. The view from our room was lovely!
Review 56:Villa Paula is excellent place to stay and enjoy Your holiday in beautiful and peaceful area.Staff is very friendly and speaks good English.Breakfast was very good also.If You rent a car it is easier to get to the cities nearby, we visited Trogir,Split, Sibenik, naturalpark near Sibenik and Zadar. Travellers from Finland
Review 57:Villa Paula is one of the best places we have ever stayed! We were only to stay 1 night but ended up staying for 4 nights! The staff are fantastic, always there to help with anything, directions, information even food whenever it was required. The views from the room were beautiful and the place is spotless. The only bad thing is that we have to leave to go home! :-(
Review 58:Mosquitos in the night
Review 59:Off season offer, for about 32€ incl. Breakfast a good deal with acar to visit Trogir. A nice pool and buffet breakfast, free wifiand parking.
Review 60:Nice,nice,nice. Everything was great, more than we expected. Great room with perfect sea wiew, great breakfast with a lot various fresh fruit like strawberries :) Staff was very helpfull and realy nice. would highly recomended to all my friends and family.
Review 61:The staff was very kind and always ready to help (e.g. transfer to airport). A comfortable, calm place, not in the center, but not too far off. Restaurants and bars close to the beach. Beaches in 5-10 min (on foot from Villa Paula), taxi boat to Trogir from port (5 min on foot from Villa Paula) every 30 minutes (transfer 15 min).
Review 62:If aything the beds were a bit hard for our taste, but we slept well.
Review 63:We really enjoyed ourselves during our 7 day stay at Villa Paula. The staff were nice and service-minded, and helped us with whatever we needed. They arranged both pick-up from the airport, and also transport to the airport when we left, without any costs. They also provided us with gluten-free meals at the breakfast which we appreciated. The breakfast were good with fresh bread every day. The room were nice and clean with a brilliant view over the ocean. The location were perfect, approx 3 min walk to the beach, and a 20 min boat-trip to the charming town of Trogir. We strongly recommend this place.
Review 64:The staff were amazing...always available and incredibly friendly. Therooms are sparse but everything is clean and crisp. The location is alittle off the beaten path so may be difficult if you are using onlypublic transportation but it was great to get away from the business ofthe city. The town of Trogir nearby is beauiful. Would highly recommendVilla Paula again.
Review 65:We were disappointed in the breakfast. Very little choice of fruit and the fruit juices were watered down. We would have preferred a bedroom with more space and smooth (not seersucker) bedding.
Review 66:We liked the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The swimming pool and area; the restaurant and area; the nearness to the beach. Food in the evening was good both in choice and presentation and also in quality.
Review 67:Everything was wonderful, and the staff was exceptionally kind, supportive, and accommodating. Misha helped us decide on good restaurants to visit, and even helped us with transport when we wanted to explore a hard to reach area of the island. They truly went above and beyond to help make our trip wonderful.
