Reviews for Anglesey Outdoors

Review 1:The en-suite room with bunk beds was warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Massive shared kitchen/dining/sitting area was clean and well equipped with tea, coffee and milk provided. Huge lounge with comfy sofas. Great location close to Holyhead and beach. Great value for money.

Review 2:It was great to have an ensuit room that accommodated 5 adults. It was comfortable enough for me, my 80 something mum & teenage kids. Complimentary tea & coffee in communal kitchen. Greeted by friendly helpful staff & busy Chickens roaming free. Fantastic location. Great advice on local area making the most of our visit. Happy days.

Review 3:Very friendly staff, facilities good, most important was value for money. Clean and tidy rooms. Also a catering kitchen well equipped. Would definately go again! Great scenery on coast the line and great for wildlife.

Review 4:Family in room below us were a little noisy the first night but this did not spoil our stay.

Review 5:Quiet location within a short walk to Port Dafarch beach and the coastal path. Excellent place to stay if you are looking for basic good value accommodation that is clean and warm and has good communal areas for relaxing or making your own meals. The Bar on site offers freshly made evening meals including a specials board each day and it has a good atmosphere. All staff on site are friendly and helpful.

Review 6:The main TV lounge could have been cleaner. It was a bit smelly.

Review 7:The self catering facilities were good and the bedroom was clean and beds were comfortable. The bar was fun.

Review 8:There were no towels in the room but we didn't think to ask. It was hostel accommodation so maybe that's the norm.

Review 9:Shown to our room, at one in the morning!

Review 10:The bed was uncomfortable, even a mattress topper would help. No brekky available.

Review 11:Everything else, wonderful place, really friendly accommodating people, great evening meal etc.

Review 12:Place is tired and the beds are very uncomfortable. One staff member was a bit dismissive.

Review 13:Stunning location! Great walks. Little pub/restaurant on site was fun.

Review 14:Nothing really. Like I said no frills stay. But for 22 quid you can't go wrong

Review 15:The people who run the B and B are friendly and can't do enough for their guests.

Review 16:Internet works in limited areas. But that was not a big deal.

Review 17:We lucked into this place in a last-minute search for a place to stay on Holyhead. It's a great location just outside of town, near the sea. Very nice common area and kitchen. Campers and hostelers will be most pleased with the Outdoor Centre. Very helpful staff and a jolly pub nearby. The young chef prepares and presents new specials nightly.

Review 18:wash basins in the dorm bedrooms were too small and every wash meant water all over the floor no big deal

Review 19:friendly staff clean rooms clean communal kitchens excellent location close to beautiful walks brilliant shower really comfortably hot rooms friendly stayers

Review 20:We are both youth group leaders in the wrexham area and will certainly be putting suggestions forwards to use this facility for our members

Review 21:Suited our needs for the night

Review 22:The kitchen and tv room are shared, something that wasn't expected , the place was more of a hostel than a hoteL but comfortable non the less And for the price in the location you can't go wrong .

Review 23:The location is second to none , holy head is amazingly perfect , the room was comfortable and met our needs, we had all facilities we needed to use (although not soley) , the quadruple room was a bunk room which we wasn't expecting for a family but probably cleaner than a hotel , the tv room was useful with games for children when it was raining .

Review 24:Even though it is mid February we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff are very friendly! The facilities are kept clean and tidy, and the price is very cheap. We were made to feel very welcome. The surrounding area is very pretty even in winter. We will be recommending to friends and family.

Review 25:Couldn't log onto the free wifi with our tablets, but that might be because we're not experts. Maybe a computer terminal would be useful. Library in Holyhead has internet if you're desperate.

Review 26:Great location. Friendly staff. Plenty of comfortable seating. Warm bedrooms. Good showers. Good car parking. ASDA only 1 mile away for food shopping.

Review 27:Bed just a little lumpy , perhaps the lighting of parking area and direction signs could be better

Review 28:Clean room and facilities , hot showers, friendly helpful staff and best of all , bargain price

Review 29:Bar closed but guess that's just a summer time thing?

Review 30:Staff were amazing. This is a very quirky place which I would guess would have an awesome atmosphere and be great fun in the summer! Room was very clean and there were plenty of facilities. Views are fantastic!

Review 31:The very classy furniture made out of PALLETS and being greeted in the kitchen by a fat man that was wearing a jumper that couldn't cover his gut

Review 32:Leaving the place

Review 33:All good

Review 39:Towels are not provided, nor is soap or other toiletries.

Review 40:Quiet. Lots of room. Good value. Great little pub next door with a good variety of food and drink. There is a large self catering kitchen.

Review 41:you get wifi but, what you can do online is limited- no watching videos or posting photos. really not a bad thing when everything around this place is so beautiful.

Review 42:the location is just so beautiful- very close to the beach and you can rent a bicycle for the day! everything was just great!

Review 43:Better directions for beach and other attractions within the vicinity. Also wifi code wasn't given within the pack but was written on a post-it in the kitchen notice board so could be easily missed

Review 44:The location was a bit hard to find but can be down to the sat nav. Excellent value for money and was really surprised with the extent of kitchen facilities - 4 separate lounges was pretty impressive!

Review 45:It will be perfect if the heating system in room can be well controlled by customer.

Review 55:very friendly staff great location bar/restaurant on site. great for car ferry basic but clean accommodation family friendly plenty parking and camping areas.

Review 56:I recently stayed overnight in the main centre. I was travelling with 4 children (aged 3 - 12), and we stayed in a room with 2 sets of bunks and a single bed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the atmosphere throughout the whole site is very relaxed. The people working there were lovely, and were so very helpful when I found myself with a smashed back windscreen and therefore no way of transporting 4 children to the nearby port. They made lots of phone calls for me, and ended up driving the 4 children to the port with me in tow in the car. They couldn't have been more helpful or nicer, and I would definitely recommend staying here if travelling in this part of the country. Lovely spot.

Review 57:I was looking for somewhere to get my head down before going on to Holyhead, and this fitted perfectly. Great location for the port and excellent prices. Own bar on site was good , Irene did a great job taking orders for food then bringing it out as well as serving behind the bar. She also arranged for a continental breakfast for us but my wife was looking for it in the wrong room. Still never mind it was a nice gesture from Anglesey Outdoors, and I would certainly stay here again.

Review 58:Internet very poor. Use McDonalds internet about 20min walk away.

Review 59:Nice secluded location in rural Anglesey. Simplely furnished, clean and confortable about 30 minutes walk from Holyhead town Centre along very qiiet road with pavement. Ideal for a night to/from ferries to/from Ireland.
