Reviews for Premier Inn Hereford
Review 1:Workmen commencing renovation in the block above early in the morning-very noisy power tools in use. Outer room wall wringing wet . Staff admitted this was a problem - the room smelt damp. One nights stay immediately refunded with apologies.
Review 2:Good location on ring road.
Review 3:Excellent new room. Well done Premier Inn for designing a room for women - great lit mirror for make up with a shelf and plugs for those straightener.
Review 4:the room had been painted only the day before and stank of paint which irritated my husbands asthma in a very bad way -we asked to be moved but was only offered a refund to go and find another hotel at 6pm at night -yeh!!
Review 5:beefeater restaurant for breakfast and location
Review 6:The bed was so uncomfortable we hardly slept during each of the two nights we were there. We were so looking forward to a " good night's sleep - guaranteed".
Review 7:The place was perfectly clean.
Review 8:Lack of drawer space, bedside table too small for glasses, book, mobile, tissues, water, tablets that a mature couple need.......
Review 9:Clean, always a good nights sleep staff very helpful.
Review 10:Building work to minor extent affecting parking. Could still hear traffic noise although I asked for a quiet room. Triple glaze on that frontage!
Review 11:Good location, comfortable and clean
Review 12:All the disruption with the building work, although reasonably well organised with a temporary hut for check in.
Review 13:The bed was so comfortable. Good cooked breakfast.
Review 14:There is building work going on which made access and parking difficult. Peception is in a temporary building, only, we understand for a couple more weeks.
Review 15:Large clean room with good facilities
Review 16:There is absolutely no reception, waiting, coffee or any public areas. It is just the room (Check in takes place in an adjoining portacabin which is fine). Ordered a taxi to the train station, it did not arrive as it was blocked by a lorry and crane on the hotel's building site. We had to go looking for it.
Review 17:Beds were great. Clean Room
Review 18:Building work going on, scaffolding outside our room which was infested by flying ants and because the hotel was full we couldn't change rooms. The rain was coming through the passage ceiling and the adjoining pub had no airconditioning and the food in the eveningwasn't very good, however the breakfast was excellent Instead of 2 nights we only stayed one night and although the 2nd night was refunded we were still charged the full amount for the night we shared with the flying ants!
Review 19:No bad experience ! Hopefully the car parking facilities will be better when the work is finished.
Review 20:In spite of disruption of building works and alterations we felt welcomed and cared for.Security good and reassuring. Very good breakfast. New building and room entrance system much better than the old one ! Helpful staff.
Review 21:not exactly didn't like, but the bathroom had a vague unpleasant smell. We reported this as soon as we arrived and were offered a different room but we would be out most of the time and didn't want the bother.
Review 22:The Beefeater nextdoor was very handy and was excellent for us. All Good.
Review 23:Too close to a busy road to have a quiet nights sleep even with the window shut. Woken in the morning by domestic staff leaving trolley outside room, clattering cups, cutlery, etc. The big breakfast was not value for money - hash browns had been kept too long and were dry, coffee tasted horrid and was luke warm and the toaster was useless and we ended up with dry bread rather than toast. Got a better big breakfast in a little cafe in town for £3.99 with hot coffee and plenty of proper toast.
Review 24:The day we left.
Review 25:Room was very hot, as we had to have the window open and were overlooking the car park the Saturday night of our stay was very noisy; we could hear other guests arriving back to the hotel until the early hours of Sunday. Currently there is a temporary entrance with a wooden ramp and therefore quite noisy.
Review 26:Staff very friendly and helpful. Room as always spotlessly clean and bed was so comfortable.
Review 27:Room had hanging space but was too short to be able to hang clothes. Bathroom needed another light over bath. Overhead bed lights shone on bedside table but should have shone over bed so you could read.
Review 28:Friendly staff
Review 29:Very low class hotel! One star! No facecloths, air conditioning didn't work, beds uncomfortable!
Review 30:The location was great as long as you had a car! The staff was exceptional and were a great help! Awesome shower!
Review 31:the fact we were only there for 2 nights, and could go home to some quiet, the temporary ramp from reception was very noisy, it was outside our room window room 28
Review 32:Why if I stay in a disabled room do I get a bed far below the standard every other guest enjoys and why do I have to walk past the bathroom to the front door to switch the bathroom light on! When you only have one leg this a major inconvenience in the middle of the night. Worst premier inn I've ever stayed at.
Review 33:Leaving
Review 34:Bedrooms we had booked through booking.com were not correct. We had booked a 4 bed and 3 bed but arrived to find a family 3 bed and one double room. Eventually rectified but with little apology from the staff - they blamed booking.com. Not very impressive customer relations. One child's bed was very uncomfortable; a put-you-up with no mattress. Very disappointing for Premier Inn, a company which has been excellent in the past.
Review 35:Nothing. Hotel is undergoing building work, but that wasn't a problem. Never heard any building work noise at all.
Review 36:Your receptionist. She was friendly, and genuinely interested in us and our visit to Hereford. Superb customer relationship.
Review 37:Without a car taxis are needed every evening and often during the day as well. The bus service in Hereford is dire. This might be made clear on the website.
Review 38:The staff were pleasant and coped well with the building site around them
Review 39:Lack of plastic hair cover for the shower. No drawers! Construction work going on with car par full. High cost because the daily charge had been increased because of the festival in Hereford. To do this with the disadvantage of being in a construction site is in excusable. Hotel not designed for Senior Citizens, no hand rail in the shower standing on a curved bath.etc etc
Review 40:The comfort of the bed Breakfast good once you got used to serving oneself for some items
Review 41:The car park had no lighting (or very little) and it was full and so it was difficult to unload our things in the dark and to find a parking space.
Review 42:The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The bathroom was very spacious.
Review 43:the hotel was a building site.Dining was a walk in the rain away from the hotel.and the food was not hot when it arrived. No telephone connection with reception
Review 44:The hotel was near to the wedding we were attending even though only half finished.
Review 45:The downside of being a single traveller is that you have to pay the same as a couple for a room. Some single rate rooms would be very welcome, particularly if the hotel is not full.
Review 46:Every member of staff was exceptionally polite, helpful and cheerful and they all made my stay a really happy experience.
Review 47:Hotel was a building site. Room small. Bath very chipped and shower non-directable. Breakfast service really struggling on Saturday morning. Very greasy breakfast, cheap catering sausages and bitter mushrooms, undercooked tomato. Fruit compote still frozen. Service very slow. Toaster hard to operate and wrongly set up. Coffee stale (surely it was not Costa as stated on the menu) and tea water not hot enough and contaminated with coffee taste from air pot. Table not cleaned or laid until we asked. My suit sleeve stuck to the grease on the window sill when I rested on it. An extremely bad breakfast experience. Whole package grossly over priced for a tired and industrial style building, dreadful location a long way from city centre, minimal restaurant service and poor food.
Review 48:Bed quality and off-street parking. Hotel staff helpful and cheerful
Review 49:Building work going on at the moment and portable cabin reception desk. Squeaky floor boards upstairs meant some disturbed sleep
Review 50:Helpful staff in restaurant as we turned up with 18 for lunch and they did brilliantly in accommodating us. Nice breakfast the following day too
Review 51:Your hotel in Hereford is undergoing extensive building works, but the temporary checking in arrangements and helpful staff made up for any minor disturbance or inconvenience. The food in the adjoining restaurant was exceptional!
Review 52:Room uncomfortablely hot. No air con. Couldn't open window as two year old sleeping next to it. Doors not secure enough. Two yr old could open and therefore escape. No one slept.
Review 53:Bed comfy, spacious room
Review 54:Building work going on restricting the carparking area but this was understandable and not too much of a problem.
Review 55:Pleasent and helpful staff and a nice clean room.
Review 56:The property is under construction, so there is no lobby currently.
Review 57:You always know what you're getting with a Premier Inn: a roof over your head and a place to sleep for not a crazy amount of money.
Review 58:The site is having an extension built. I was advised of this before arriving. Everything was set up to make things as convenient as possible. There was no noise from the builders.
Review 59:Very limited supply of tea and coffee. Traffic noise.
Review 60:We had a poor night's sleep due to a couple of drunks, but no quibble about refunding in the morning under the good night's sleep guarantee. Would rather have had a good night though.
Review 61:Would have prefered a shower cubicle rather than an over the bath one. Restaurant next door also needs updating and the food was mediocre.
Review 62:Good position. No road noise in room which was very clean and comfortable.
Review 63:Soap and bath despensers were nearly empty lots of dust on headboard ,don't know aBout Lenny Henry but bed for me was far too hard woke with bad back
Review 64:Reception staff were helpful and cheerful ,even though temporay reception cabin due building work very little disruption or noise ,pillows were extremely comfortable and facilities were good
Review 65:The free wifi was not good and I felt that you were being forced to buy the premier wifi, which I didn't do.
Review 66:I liked the room size, plenty of space when getting ready for a night out. I liked the bath, it was a real bath! I spent a good hour just relaxing in a hot comfortable bath.
Review 67:The car parking was quite bad. We went for a meal, got back at about 22:30 and we couldn't find a place to park. We had to wait for someone to move their car before we could park. This was mainly down to the ongoing building works which took up 50% of the car park.
Review 68:The bed was fantastic! Staff were all very friendly Good location
Review 69:Lots of noise transference from floors above and the breakfast facilities needed an overhaul - the decor let down the staff who were great.
Review 70:Staff were great and location very good
Review 71:No parking spaces in the hotel car park as it was full of those using the restaurant. Bathroom was rather dated and shower curtain smelt as if it needed a good clean.
Review 72:Comfortable bed (pity about the pillows).
Review 73:Bathroom some ?mildew on ceiling, slightly musty.
Review 74:Clean, comfortable room. Fairly quiet location Great Beefeater restaurant next door with brilliant waiting staff. Breakfast fab. Even meals good choice.
Review 75:room 40 had disgusting toilet with very stained seat that made the bathroom very smelly. Not up to usual standard we have come to expect
Review 76:location, comfy, quiet
Review 77:A great Premier Inn with a lovely Beefeater attached for a special meal. Breakfast was also excellent. Many thanks once again Premier Inn. Should consider a Loyalty Member scheme maybe !!
Review 78:Had to ask for towels to be changed as they were dirty. Carpets in room and hallways extremely dirty. Bed was past its best as rolled together in it.
Review 79:Good location out of centre of city. Friendly staff and helpful. Excellent breakfast facilities.
Review 80:It seems to be quite on the expensive side. That you have to pay for wi-fi is not really neat.
Review 81:There was adequate parking. The place was clean and the location wasn't bad.
Review 82:We were totaly surprised with the service , friendly staff in the beefeater and the the hotel it was the sort of service you would expect from a higher grade of hotel. Friendly staff With a smile that talk to you maks all the difference. I would deffinatlty recommend this premier inn.
Review 83:Bed was not as per the adverts on TV.
Review 84:Easy to find. Nice and clean Good restaurant on site Away from town centre noise. Excellent knowledge of food allergens by staff at restaurant.
Review 85:The room was just what we needed clean with good facilities but the mattress was really hard and uncomfortable not firm just felt very cheap. Reception on tv not great. Check in staff could be friendlier.
Review 86:Clean and location excellent for Hereford.
Review 87:the bathroom was tiny, in the morning, the noise outside our room was really bad, the staff were up and down talking & banging, our next door neighbours were banging on their door, it was annoying
Review 88:the beds were comfortable and room clean
Review 89:There was a small bug in my daughters bed so she wasn't too happy, but that apart we had a fab stay.
Review 90:We, as a family love Premier Inn as they tend to cater so well for families like ours. There is an en suite bath and shower, tea and coffee and plenty of sugar! Very comfortable beds and helpful staff. The staff member we saw on arrival was particularly informative and made sure we had everything we needed.
Review 91:Beds a bit hard. Our night was disturbed by a hysterical guest on our corridor, though hotel reception staff coped well and coolly.
Review 92:Helpful staff, car parking.
Review 93:would it be possible to have a Costa coffee machine as they have at the Premier Inn in Stroud? I really like a cappuchino at breakfast. The Hereford coffee is OK, though.
Review 94:pleasant atmosphere, excellent location and a very comfortable stay
Review 95:Thin walls can hear whats going on in the room next door! Staff were miserable and the doors in the corridor banged every time they closed! Room was right near reception so very noisey!
Review 96:Location is good!
Review 97:Bathrooms were poorly set up for wife to put on makeup. Too far from grocery stores
Review 98:Staff friendly. Liked the signs asking quests to be quiet and respect others.
Review 99:Poor facilities for women- lighting poor in toilet and dressing area; no plugs for dryers in toilet, limited closet area for hanging close. Room was cramped for 2 people. No grocery stores nearby
Review 100:clean. good breakfast, pub & restaurant next door, quiet
Review 101:The Bathroom was very small and dated. There was also a mildew smell in the bedroom area.
Review 102:The location was great for us, as we went to Hereford for a Jui Jitsu competition in the Point 4 Leisure Centre.
Review 103:Nothing really, but this one seemed a little more tired than the Weston super Mare one we stayed in a week before.
Review 104:When you book a Premier Inn you know what to expect because they are all basically the same. We love the beds and know we will get a good nights rest. The breakfast choices are great and we like being asked how much of everything we would like so that there's no waste. The staff we have encountered have always been friendly and helpful.
Review 105:The main road outside was noisy and intrusive. The bathroom was one of the smallest ever encountered. The door to this only cleared the basin by 2mm. As always only one chair.Where is the other occupant supposed to sit?. Don't say on the bed, that isn't sitting
Review 106:The hotel was reasonably quiet. The staff were friendly. The room was clean.
Review 107:rooms are advertised from £29.00 my second stay and each time we've paid over £70 for a double room.
Review 108:Polite, friendly, helpful staff. comfy bed. Lovely breakfast.
Review 109:Should have booked room nearer the entrance as my husband found the walk to the room difficult but we would know next time Noise from car park, almost constant banging doors.
Review 110:Ease of booking in . Nice clean room. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Would stay again.
Review 111:The bathroom was quite cramped, and other than the pub next door there were not really any facilities to amuse the children within walking distance.
Review 112:Friendly staff and a clean room made for a pleasant if brief stay. We did at least get a fan to keep the room cool, unlike in many budget hotels now.
Review 113:So a good nights sleep is guaranteed. Sadly not during our two night stay. Although different types of pillows available, none of them were comfortable - either too soft/thin or too hard/thick. The room was stuffy and too warm and the only means of cooling it down was to have the window open and/or the fan on. Our first night was disrupted by some other guests who saw fit to shout down the corridors in the early hours of the morning oblivious to the signs and pop up stands Premier Inn have introduced to encourage consideration of other guests. Running up and down corridors and then yelling again; not good. Fully understand the staff would not want to confront any of these guests. Who knows how they would react and it's not worth putting yourself at risk. Our second night was also disrupted however less so by other guests and more because of the overflowing gutter and heavy rain.
Review 114:The location of this Premier Inn was ideal for the purpose of our visit to Hereford. We experienced fantastic food in the pub next door when having dinner both nights of our stay. Can't comment on the breakfast as we were up and out early. My partner said the fillet steak he had the first night was "probably the best" he'd ever tasted. Staff in the Premier Inn and pub were all very pleasant and welcoming.
Review 115:My room was very dark, with no outlook at all. The window was under a 'tunnel' arrangement. I wondered why the room was less expensive, and when I arrived I knew exactly why!
Review 116:Lovely staff at the hotel and the restaurant. The fact that there was a good fan, as it was very hot Excellent breakfast.
Review 117:tea and coffee making facilities a little overpriced for budget hotel bathroom was a bit dated
Review 118:comfortable bed location plenty of parking friendly staff almost value for money
Review 119:we have never stayed in a more uncomfortable bed, l tthink the base was broken. All l can say is Lenny Henry must have very low standards of comfort according to current advert on T.V. There ws a large group of people also staying at the premier inn we dien't get to sleep until 4am. although to be fair when we spoke to the receptionist we had our room cost refunded under the guantee of a good nighr.
Review 120:No hot water ... had to waste so much to get luke warm water .. no good for kids needing a bath nor I a shower... Bathroom needed a through good clean, the tiles and grouting filthy. Main bed lumpy not the quality of a premier inn
Review 121:Convenience
Review 122:Having to pay top whack for room. Well over £100 with breakfast
Review 123:Good position for us visiting relatives in Hereford City. Staff happy, friendly and room very clean - they should get a mention Breakfast excellent in Starting Gate Pub next door. Again staff happy, very friendly and obliging.
Review 124:The meal deal in the restaurant was value for money
Review 125:Room was freezing at first !
Review 126:Good value for money Checked in at 3:00 am, helpful staff Thanks
Review 127:All good. The staff were a little abrupt on arrival, but were helpful, and the housemaids were vey friendly.
Review 128:Comfortable rooms and beds.
Review 129:Everything no fault
Review 130:road access on egress
Review 131:peace and quiet
Review 132:Excellent experience. Bed one of the most comfortable we have slept on. Staff friendly and helpful.
Review 133:The staff was polite and the rooms were nice and clean
Review 134:The bed was very uncomfy
Review 135:Doors opening and closing
Review 136:Quite and comfortable
