Reviews for Linden Guest House
Review 1:Nothing
Review 2:Myself and my partner brought a night away for my parents at Linden House. Patrick was wonderful he called me to see if I wanted the code which would enable me to enter the building as and when I needed. When I explained we'd brought the night away as a gift he said straight away "right ill upgrade your mom and dad to the flat". Which was beautiful. He then even emailed me to let me know that they'd arrived safe. Amazing! !
Review 3:Some local information would be helpful as the choice of somewhere to eat in the town is limited.
Review 4:Friendly, Central location, lovely view of church and bells were not a problem with windows closed!
Review 5:Lovely stay at Linden guest house, Patrick very friendly and helpful very knowledgeable about the area. Very comfortable bed and room very clean, good breakfast which you could see freshly cooked. Only a short walk to town, location great
Review 6:Relaxed and friendly. Patrick, the owner is knowledgable about area and activities, makes excellent breakfast to order and is a perfect host. Making the time to call us before our arrival was a welcome surprise that set the holiday off on the right footing.
Review 7:Location, location, location! Very near to the town centre but also within easy walking distance of the Propect, with its panoramic view over the Wye Valley and the distant hills.
Review 8:No complaints.
Review 9:The proprietor Patrick made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Cooked an excellent breakfast, cooked to each individuals requirements.]
Review 10:Small en-suite with ineffective wash basin plug. Bed was hard but this is very subjective.
Review 11:Welcoming and friendly. Personal service from Patrick. Very clean.
Review 12:Limited choices on the TV
Review 13:Great host who came to collect us when we got lost. We brought our own food for the evening and had full access to the kitchen facilities.
Review 14:Small shower, unbalanced heat in different rooms made me cold
Review 15:Location, the treatment of the owner was great, very old house, comfortable bed, good wifi
Review 16:The hospitality of the owner. The location. It was a very cold weekend but the room at the right temperature that you could change. I couldn't hear any noise from the church
Review 17:Great stay. Excellent cooked breakfast. We brought our bikes with us without first checking whether there would be anywhere to store them, but Patrick was thankfully very accommodating in allowing us to keep them in his garden overnight! Would definitely stay again.
Review 18:Nothing.
Review 19:Despite knowing Ross, I had never been aware of this gem of a B & B, tucked away quietly yet just a minute's walk from the town. Patrick, the owner, was very friendly and helpful, and cooked me the perfect croissant for breakfast!
Review 20:nice little b and b, ideally located in the centre of Ross on Wye. The room was small but clean, with everything that we needed. Great host who prepared lovely breakfasts. Definitely recommended for exploring the area.
Review 21:We stayed here for the Ross on Wye Walking Festival. Patrick cooked a really good breakfast and there were kitchen facilities so we could make a packed lunch, a fridge to keep some supplies in. We were made to feel very welcome. The property is just in the centre of town without being noisy, so easy to get an evening meal, drink etc.
Review 22:The tranquility of Linden Guest House, the accommodation, great food and great conversation with Patrick the Owner made to feel very welcome loved the area, the location, plenty of places to eat, drink and full of History. Would highly recommend this and would go back. Thank you Patrick for making our stay fantastic. Carole & John
Review 23:Loved the relaxed, friendly surroundings , very comfortable and clean . Small and homely . Our first go at B&B and we loved it . Thanks Patrick for your hospitality and lovely breakfasts !!
Review 24:Excellent location, very picturesque, clean and comfortable room and a lovely breakfast and good conversation with Patrick the owner, would recommend and stay again :-)
Review 25:Towels could be updated looked rather old.
Review 26:Quiet location, close to town. Breakfast cooked to your liking. Friendly host made you feel really welcome. Lovely pillows!
Review 27:steps, church clock chiming 3 times an hour, neighbour's barking dog, directions to guest house insufficient & no obvious signage, a complimentary map of town would have helped, awkward parking & no knowledge of one way street
Review 28:position, central to everything, view, meals, service, breakfast, mine host, local history - all great
Review 29:Leaving!
Review 30:Patrick the host - full of information and stories with a brilliant sense of humour No option but to join in the banter with him and the other guests which sets you up for a really good day. Location ideal as close to centre with landmarks within easy reach
Review 31:Room was a little small, not much storage space, however this wasn't a problem for us as we were only staying for a few days. Front bedrooms were a lot larger & it maybe worth requesting one of these when booking.
Review 32:Our room was at the back of the property and although small had all the necessary amenities and was very quiet ensuring a good night's sleep. Views from front bedrooms overlook the church & are very picturesque. Patrick, the owner made us very welcome and cooked an excellent breakfast. We enjoyed our morning chats with him. We ate out at The Royal Hotel in Ross on Wye, the terrace is a sun trap with wonderful views over the town and the food is very good & reasonably priced. The drinks were very reasonable too. We also ate at Mondo, a small bistro & wine bar opposite Church St, the fillet Rossini was excellent & the Portugese chef took the time to come & talk to all the diners, which was a nice touch. We would recommend a visit to Symonds Yat East where you can enjoy a trip on the river, the riverside walks and have a drink or meal in the tea rooms or hotels overlooking the river. We would recommend sitting outside The Royal Hotel with its spectacular views. Monmouth is also worth a visit.
Review 33:A little thing:the flow and regulation of water in the shower should be improved if applicable.
Review 34:Beautiful all! Breakfast homemade with quality ingredients, nice room, very comfortable beds located in a very quite area even if it's a 200 m distance from the centre of the town. Patrick, the owner, is a nice person. Besides Ross on the Wye should be visited also for good pubs and food. It is in a strategic position to see both small historic town and nature. Now stop with compliments....
Review 35:Found bedding quite heavy - but it was a warm night.
Review 36:Lovely welcome from the owner. Property overlooking the church, in a good location. Very clean and welcoming. Enjoyable breakfast cooked in front of while chatting to the owner and other guests.
Review 37:I think the house is vastly over-rated, I expected 4star since it was rated over 9.0, instead we encountered a tired old house, very small rooms, no sitting area, average breakfast, street parking only. Rating should be 7.0 or less.
Review 38:Good location, friendly and helpful owner/manager
Review 39:Spartan bedroom ,no chairs and lacked a womens touch.

Review 79:A lovely house, we enjoyed our stay.
Review 80:Location spot on localion.very welcoming good value for money would happy stay there again.
Review 81:This is an old building and the plumbing is a little old. The shower in our room was a bit of an art.
Review 82:The location was excellent with free on street parking and this was a good value for money place to stay. The hospitality was very good and accommodating. The mattress was a bit firm for my back and Patrick took the trouble to find a mattress topper for the bed. The breafast arrangements are ideal for visitors to the area and would be great for foreign visitors as they give a chance to meet other guests and find out about places to visit. Good breakfast too.
Review 83:very friendly atmosphere - uncomplicated access arrangements, clear instructions for door access provided by the owner giving flexibility about arrival times. Great breakfast. Room was lovely and perfect town centre location. Was worried about parking but I needn't have been. In any case it was convenient walking distance from all the venues I wanted to be at over the weekend.Didn't get a chance to test the WiFi because we were out most of the time.
Review 84:Couldn't adjust shower very well but that is all
Review 85:The hospitality of the owner and an amazing breakfast cooked as you wait, in the same room whilst he is giving you a wealth of knowledge. I normally don't eat a cooked breakfast but what he made was delicious. Beautiful outlook overlooking the church and very quiet location but very centrally located. Would definitely go there again

Review 87:I can honestly say that there was nothing about our stay at Linden Guest House that didn't meet with our approval. Just a shame we couldn't stay longer.
