Review 1：Bit of a walk into town (.8 mile?) Make sure payments cleared before you leave...

Review 2：Excellent beach front location,can take sunbed onto beach.big pool for only 12 appts.never crowded. Decent wifi connection. Next to supermarket,bus stop and three restaurants.

Review 7：The bathroom and bedroom are very tiny. The privacy of your own balcony space if you have a shared stairs to the balcony as we did. The noise of our Russian ? neighbors ( watching tv on tablet in the late evening and the noise of 2 little children before 8 o clock in the morning. I had to complain twice, which is never a nice thing to do if your on holiday. I guess we were not lucky with the location of the apartment we were given. Better next time ???

Review 8：The closeness from garden to the beach with your own sun bed. The cleaning of the room every day ( a bit too early is a minus ) and cleaning of the towels and sheets several times. The tips from the owner at the arrival before he went away for a week. In spite of unfriendly neighbors we had a very nice stay here and enjoyed the calm beach and beautiful surroundings and wonderful food.

Review 10：Fantastic views. Very peaceful location just outside the village but very close to the supermarket so shopping is v easy, accessible by foot or bike. Good shallow sea for swimming. Relaxed beach bar selling mezze, calamari etc just a minute's walk away. Good hot showers. Basic but clean, spacious accommodation with effective bedroom aircon. Strong wifi signal. The pool is deep and clean. Lots of shade to sit in in the garden and pool area. All the upstairs balconies have great retractable canopies so you can have as much shade as you need. Downstairs balconies have more natural shade and a brolly each. There are complimentary loungers and parasols to carry over to the beach (lots of locals on the beach qq which was nice), plus some lilos and beach mats etc. Beachside location means there's usually a breeze even in the heat. Kalyves village is low key and has all the facilities, lots of beachside eateries. Chania Old Town is lovely.

Review 11：The bus , although the bus stop is close by, took 45 mins to arrive on 2 occasions. So another time I might hire a car or stay closer to some action. This quiet holiday was perfect for me, but it is a little challenging to get anywhere else without a car.

Review 12：Relatively unspoilt area. Proximity to beach and supermarket. Eternal sun, sea and sand. Friendly and helpful staff (drove me to a better bus stop!) The generous size of the kitchen/ living area in the apartment. Pretty gardens and pool area, with a backdrop of the mountains. The complimentaries on arrival (tea, toasty bread, wine, sweets!) Eating on the patio in the sun! Free use of sunbeds on the beach.

Review 14：A warm welcome by Apostolos and his wife. Very good advices on the area, appartment is cleaned every day, location is quite and in front of the sea. The pool is superb and the garden well maintained. Supermarket is @ 2min. of walk. Wifi everywhere ! Kalives is not far from everything you may wish to visit on the western part of the island.

Review 25：Manager and staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms cleaned daily to a high standard. Linen and towels changed three times in 10 days excellent service. We were allowed to stay till late on our last day as we had a late evening flight.

Review 26：The owners are very kind and helpful. The apartments had everything we hoped for. I loved the garden and the location by the sea. Supermarket and bus stop are very close. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Review 27：Attention to detail could be better. Little things like dish soap, a sponge to wash dishes, salt and pepper packets, shampoo samples....all inexpensive but thoughtful additions that prevent purchasing of bulk items for a few days stay. Beds are short if you are over 190cm.

Review 29：The location is the best of all the apartments in kalives, we really enjoyed our time there and are hoping to return next summer. The swiming pool area and the beach are fantastic and everything you need is walking distance so if you dont want the expense of hiring a car there is no need.

Review 30：host was extremely helpful and staff were friendly and efficient. apartments are in an excellent location both for beach and shopping. apartments were cleaned daily and were very comfortable. the provision of sun loungers and umbrellas for our own use on the beach was an added bonus which we did not expect - saved a great deal of money!!!

Review 31：WiFi works only in front of manager's office, but he told me he would fix this situation getting more routers and make wifi available in all apartments and throughout the hole territory around building.

Review 32：This year was our second visit to Kalyves and second time we stayed at Kalives Apartments. As usual we like everything -- it is not a crowdy hotel but family-style 12-apartments building next to beach -- sitting on the balcony of your room you can hear and SEE the sea right next to you!

Review 33：we were given twin beds instead of a double but I think that is because we arrived earlier than the check-in time.

Review 34：the view from the balcony is amazing. Beautiful pool, grounds and two steps to the beach. Bicycles are available to ride and the supermarket is a two minute walk from the apartments. The ratings are very high for this establishment, I guess for the money and location it is excellent but it is not a five star hotel, the apartments themselves are basic accommodations, it is the pool, grounds and beach that are the high rating
