Reviews for Samaina

Review 1:Petros, the landlord, provided the most caring and effective treatment from the moment of before arriving - by asking when and how we would arrive and followed up. took care of problems in the most effective manner. simply, invaluable.

Review 2:everything was like we expected..

Review 3:Room was quite comfortable. One of the cleanest hotel in samos that we exprienced. Owner of the hotel was quite helpfull.

Review 4:-

Review 5:One of the highest value for money from all the places I've been to so far. It is such a pleasant little hotel with nice view, neatness, cleanliness and all the small decoration details you would have in your own home. Mr Petros, the owner, looks after you starting from the reservation until the check out, gives tips and insights on what is worth doing and not according to your interests and duration of stay. A two minute walk to the seaside and with free parking options nearby. Strong wifi signal. Nice little balcony with view. Refrigerator is a valuable plus. The town is an excellent base for seeing around this beautiful island. Breakfast was rich in variety and plenty. Perhaps the nicest detail was the radio, broadcasting a channel with rock and R&B classics.

Review 6:When our taxis stop in front of hotel, the owner was outside waiting to welcome us. Unfailingly professionalism, genuinely friendly and courteous, he alwalys had time to answer our quetions. Our room was cleam and comfortable.

Review 7:Decor a little tired but spotless.

Review 8:Wonderful hospitality. Petros picked me up from the Ferry and extended my checkout to 2pm to coincide with the bus. He also had all the information I needed about the island. Great location on the hill looking over the harbour.

Review 9:The shower was a bit outdated - hard to keep the water in the confined space but everything else ok.

Review 10:We just spent 9 nights at this hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. Petros was friendly and helpful and we appreciated the small gift that he gave us when we left. The rooms were adequate in size for our needs, and the proximity of the hotel to the restaurants etc. was excellent. Lovely and quiet at night and the WiFi connection great. We would recommend this hotel.

Review 11:The décor is a bit dated which tends to make the rooms seem somewhat dark and cluttered. The bathroom was small and needed a bit of attention. There was a lovely garden/ terrace but unfortunately it was off limits which was a shame as it would have been a lovely place to have comfortable chairs to sit out. We asked Petros and he gave a very valid reason -when it was open, guests had tended to stay there late at night having a drink and talking and this disturbed other guests trying to sleep. This was a good reason but we thought that maybe in the day it could be available and close at 6pm for example.

Review 12:Samaina Hotel's atmosphere is calm, friendly and relaxed. The location is quiet too which is great. Petros, the owner is most helpful and always pleasant. The hotel is clean and well-serviced.There is efficient air-conditioning in the bedrooms and good wifi. The room had a nice little balcony with awning and with views to the harbour which made sitting out on it very pleasant. Clean towels and sheet every day. Great value.

Review 13:Petro was very welcoming and hooked us up with another couple so we could share the cost of a taxi - very appreciated! The hotel is very nice, comfortable beds, stunning view from the balcony, good breakfast. The location is perfect - a few minutes away from the too touristic areas which made our stay even more perfect. About 10 minutes walk from the hotel is a long beach with sunbeds for 2 euros each. Highly recommend if you stay in Pythagorion!

Review 14:The bathroom needs some maintenance, and it would have been nice with a TV set .We would have liked the towels to be changed daily, but that's a small inconvenience.

Review 15:We were very pleased with the service provided by the owner, Petros.Always very helpful, he offered to pick us up in his own car when we arrived with the ferry from Patmos. - The air conditioning was fine, the room small, but in general OK. The balcony, though small, offered a fine view of Pythagorion and the sea. Broad band connection: impeccable. Nice breakfast served by the staff, peaceful and quiet in the hotel day and night

Review 16:No tv in room, hotel is on small hill for old people

Review 17:Family hotel, hospitality, helpful, good location, silent

Review 26:I have no complaints and I look forward to visiting this hotel and this village again.

Review 27:I got a nice room on the top floor with a great view and a large balcony that even had sunbeds. The location was great and I could easily get to the harbour and the beach. The staff was very friendly and familiar and gave me suggestions about trips to do, restaurants to visit etc. The room had AC but I didn't need to use it once since I had a nice breeze from the ocean. Everything was great and I look forward to visiting Samaina Hotel and Pythagorio again.

Review 28:Nothing, we loved it!

Review 29:If you're looking to stay in Pythagorio (which you should!) this isthe place to stay. Perfect location, great views, very clean, freeparking nearby, good wifi in the rooms, amazing staff, everyone was veryfriendly and helpful. I could not say enough good things, we ended upstaying an extra night and would have loved to have stayed longer.

Review 30:Car park area which is close to hotel has very limited space. Though alternative is 300-500m away.

Review 31:Petros, hotel owner, was very helpful and friendly in arranging our date change requests and also giving info on restaurants, beaches, car rental companies. Sea viewing rooms are strongly suggested. Fresh fruit and different choices of bread in breakfast were excellent. Thanks

Review 32:Tea/Coffee making facilities in the room would have been welcome.

Review 33:Petros the Manager was very friendly and helpful in all requests. His knowledge of the island and local tavernas and places to visit was good. Ceiling fan and air conditioning made the room very comfortable in the heat. Pythagoreion has excellent restaurants and bars surrounding the old port and a good selection of shops catering for every need.

Review 34:The steep climb to the Hotel.

Review 35:The complete friendliness and care of guests. Petros and family took such good care of us. They were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Review 36:The bathroom was tiny and the shower curtain didn't reach the bottom of the shower so you were constantly drying the floor after use.

Review 37:The owner was very helpful and willing to go beyond for you. The location is perfect-in the town but off the main road so more of a peaceful spot. We had a seaview room which had a balcony which was perfect for a relaxed afternoon moment.

Review 38:Mr. Petros was very helpfull. The hotel is in a very good and quiet location. The rooms are well kept.
