Review 1：Be aware that the only parking is on street. The ensuite in room 5 was a little unusual, there is no bathroom door. Fine for solo traveller but not ideal if a couple. I didn't manage to get the WiFi working.

Review 2：Super comfy bed, decent breakfast, very clean and obviously recently decorated. Easy walk to the restaurants in the town.

Review 3：The warm friendly welcome, clean comfortable room with nice touches like, shoe shine, playing cards, tea/coffee and water. Freshly cooked and well presented breakfast.

Review 10：Husband has several life-limiting conditions, & this was our first attempt at a short break, also visiting a son and grandchildren nearby. The Metropolitan is well-situated between Whitley Bay metro and prom, which in itself was a very pleasant walk. The Metropolitan was clean, very warm (a little too warm for us at first, but a quiet word soon had heating adjusted). Having bottled water provided as well as tea, coffee & hot chocolate, plus kettle & milk, & an unbelievable amount of toiletries in a very comfortable room all went a long way to making this a successful & happy weekend. The staff were friendly, cheerful and nothing was too much trouble - they went over and above any expectations we might have had. We wouldn't hesitate in staying at this hotel again, & highly recommend it.

Review 11：I had a single room which had an ensuite. There was no door or curtain to the entrance of small bathroom - I like to be separate from the bedroom.

Review 15：Immaculate B and B. Wonderful breakfast and run by nice people. What more do you want? We stayed here as we wanted to attend the Whitley Bay Playhouse and found this highly regarded place very convenient being only a 15 minute stroll away.

Not only was it one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in (other than my own!), but the linens were of great quality, as were the toiletries, the towels and the quilted loo roll! The whole place was SPOTLESS and the breakfast choices were great - plenty of good quality (organic/free range/homemade) options - even gluten free cereals. This is a great little find. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The rooms are clean, beautifully furnished and well-equipped and the breakfast is freshly cooked. Wi-fi works well too. Steve is a friendly and professional host. I will certainly return.
