Guesthouse Seacroft sells fast on our site. In Trearddur Bay, on the stunning coast of the Isle of Anglesey, the Seacroft is a pub restaurant with rooms, offering free Wi-Fi, superb locally sourced food and a cosy traditional bar. The Seacroft has received a 5-star rating from Visit Wales in its Restaurant with Rooms category.
There are 6 individually decorated rooms, each with their own unique charm and each named after one of the beautiful beaches on Anglesey. Each room has a flat-screen TV, Egyptian cotton bed linen and a modern bath or shower room. The Superior Double Rooms have small private balconies.
With a roaring log fire for the cooler months, and an outside deck for the warmer months, the Seacroft is a great place to sit back and relax in stylish and comfortable surroundings.
The menu uses only the finest, freshest, locally sourced seasonal produce. The lobster comes from Trearddur Bay itself, from a boat based just a few hundred yards away. Mussels come from the nearby Menai Strait, which separates the island of Anglesey from the mainland of Wales.

Reviews for Seacroft

Review 1:This place has good reviews - and it's even better than I expected. Excellent clean comfortable rooms, good beds, quality bathrooms and shower etc. And the breakfast was just excellent. Beach 100 yards away!

Review 2:The staff were very helpful, the lady who served the breakfast delivered excellent service, breakfast was very good quality, the rooms and bathrooms were very well presented, would definitely stay here again .

Review 3:From the cleaners to the manager everyone was so helpful and friendly. A reserved table was held for our three nights stay. After breakfast you won't want anything else to eat all day. In the evening, everything about the drinks, the quality of our meals and their presentation was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Our balcony room and bathroom was warm and very clean, far cleaner than some top city hotels I have been booked into in the past. Sea and sand is about 200yds away. If you are wondering whether to stay at Seacroft, I would 100% recommend it based on our first visit and we will definitely go back.

Review 4:Room was ok but not worth the almost £100/night fee Fixtures and fittings a little worn

Review 5:Location was good for my business trip to Rhosneiger Car parking good and room comfortable Pub is very lively in the evening with a nice atmosphere and decent food Breakfast menu is varied and food good All staff are very friendly and efficient

Review 6:The wifi didn't really work well, the room was quite small.

Review 7:The well-maintained and cosy rooms, the location close to the sea, the food in the restaurant.

Review 8:It doesn't have what would normally be classed as a bar or a restaurant. What was allegedly the bar / restaurant was noisy with screaming children running around, and screaming parents as well. It totally lacks atmosphere, its a café that sells beer and caters for the caravan sights. Our room was small and cramped, likewise the shower / toilet which had no where to place anything. There was not even a hair dryer in the room, and no decent views if that's what you would like. Would not go there again.

Review 9:Tried, but could not find anything positive.

Review 10:Parking was full last time due to Half term. Not good after a long trip and arriving in the dark

Review 11:Staff are friendly and professional Room was comfortable and clean Bedding was very good quality

Review 12:The lighting in the bathroom was not very bright and would benefit by some sort of light over the mirror.

Review 13:The staff were very pleasant, efficient and helpful.

Review 14:Only fault was lack of really dry white, even the NZ Sauvignon Blanc had a honey edge

Review 15:Exceptional service, good reasonably priced food, great location. Really fresh well cooked breakfast.

Review 16:Room extremely hot and noisy. Due to excessive heat window had to be kept open all night this then meant external noise from kitchen extraction unit deafening

Review 17:Location

Review 18:The toiletries didn't get replemished so we ran out of shower gel and I forgotten my own. The bed wasn't very comfortable. The heating went off early on Sunday night so the room was chilly. ( This may be due to the clocks going back). The pub was being cleaned (hoovered) whilst we were eating breakfast.

Review 19:Great location, the pub had a lovely atmosphere. Most of the staff were friendly and happy to help.

Review 20:Heating didn't come in room until late so room was cold in evening but very warm overnight when it came on.

Review 21:Location was great very convenient for the ferry at Holyhead! Food good & staff friendly!

Review 22:The mattress in our room was very uncomfortable for us - we like a firm mattress and this was rather soggy and the springs were felt. Also the pillows gave very little support.

Review 23:Location was lovely. The beach walk very pleasant. The decor is modern and fun. A lot of thought has gone into the furniture and fittings and it works. Food was tasty and the breakfast varied and thoroughly enjoyed. The room was quiet which was great. Parking easy. Staff very helpful.

Review 24:This was really just a pub with a couple of rooms. You had to register in the bar. The pillows were so thin it was like sleeping without any. We had booked breakfast which was from 7am. However we were told that if we wanted breakfast at that time they would have to arrange a staff member to come in specially. This made us very uncomfortable and said we wouldn't bother then but wasn't offered a refund.

Review 25:Close to Holyhead for the ferries.

Review 26:The Seacroft is located right by the beach... which was great for an early evening stroll in the sun. My favourite bit about staying away from home overnight is always the breakfast the following morning - the Seacroft didn't disappoint! The breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly.

Review 27:Would have like a TV with a slightly larger screen.

Review 28:Comfortable room, lovely bathroom and very good location. Had a very nice evening meal there with family.

Review 29:No hairdryer.

Review 30:Location, decor and staff all good.food good not great but nothing to complain about (best muslie ever tasted) good variety for breakfast.

Review 31:The bed - not comfortable aches and pains each morning The lack of direct access to adjacent cliff top walks

Review 32:The staff and their friendly helpfulness The breakfasts & meals in the evening The room The location of the hotel with good access to Holy Island & the rest of Anglesey

Review 33:Unfortunately there was a very loud gathering in a neighbouring property until the early hours of the morning.

Review 34:Good food, two cask ales. Some nice walks close by.

Review 35:Free wifi did not work at all throughout my stay which was inconvenient as I was there on business. The staff were apologetic but there wasn't a solution.

Review 36:Perfect location, short walk to the bay and a lovely coastal walk. The food quality and portions was excellent. Room comfortable and clean.

Review 37:The bed was too soft for us, and with only doors (no windows) onto the blustery Anglesey weather it was hard to get the room to an ambient temperature; the wifi never worked. Breakfast was somewhat hit and miss.

Review 38:Friendly and helpful staff, very short walk to Trearddur Bay, the decor and facilities are well maintained. (A faulty light was fixed the same afternoon.) The bar/restaurant has a nice buzz about it in the evening, and we enjoyed a meal there.

Review 39:Warm friendly comfortable hotel food excellent . Service excellent only slight problem our bedroom wa on the end which the wind whistled around as a light sleeper it bothered but no problem to my husnpband

Review 40:The extractor fan for the kitchen was right outside our bedroom window so we had very strong food smells and as the extractor was obviously old lots of noise which disturbed us. No instructions on how to use safe.

Review 41:Lovely location. Quality and quantity of towels and toiletries. Quality of food both for meal in the evening and breakfast.

Review 42:car park too full to use cars without blue badges in disabled spaces. unable to get around bedroom without hitting your head, the price of food at £25 for 2 people to have a small fish and chips which was mostly batter.will not return.

Review 43:area

Review 44:Only stayed one night as we used the hotel as a stop-over for the ferry, but the staff were great and the food was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Review 45:Noise outside of the bedroom window, fan or something for the kitchen. Room was far to warm! Struggled to sleep even after opening window.

Review 46:Good theme room. Comfy bed. Very clean. Resteraunt was amazing, good atmosphere and great food.

Review 47:Helpfulness and pleasantness of staff. Walking distance to beach area one way and easy walk along bay's past pretty outlook to headland area where caravan parks are and also open headland with walking tracks.

Review 48:?staff / clients outside under bedroom window awaiting a lift very noisy till quite late kept us awake. NO WIFI AVAILABLE. Missed out on valuable e bay sales for business. Conducting business re e- mails a nightmare. Hotel aware and caused them a huge problem too. out of their hands really.

Review 49:Location brilliant. Excellent breakfast and food in general really good. Staff very pleasant indeed and very attentive to us as resident guests.

Review 50:Noisy evening meal (children not corrected by parents or indeed Seacroft staff) when running on and of furniture !

Review 51:lovely and spotlessly clean room. friendly staff, great breakfast

Review 52:We got to hotel checked in was all ok untill people would try to open your room door people obviously didnt know there room doors maybe make it clear to other guests some how also went to use wifi to watch a film and also use our phones due to poor signal area wifi didnt work one bit which really isnt acceptable......

Review 53:Lovely surroundings pleasent styling as well

Review 54:we were at the back of the hotel with a noisy vent beneath us which was turned off when the restaurant closed.

Review 55:the hotel was easily accessible near the beach and many good walks

Review 56:Not sure if it was my error or the hotel, but we wanted two twin beds and were placed in a room with one bed that we had to share.

Review 57:Wonderful staff - friendly, helpful and accommodating

Review 58:Loved the Seacroft , the staff were all lovely couldn't do enough for us , our room was beautifully decorated & had everything you could ask for & more from a hotel , the food was exceptional, will defiantly be returning

Review 59:Bit noisy with other doors off the passage, and a bit stuffy in tearoom without AC, but open window made it better

Review 60:Friendly service, great atmosphere, fresh, clean, tidy.

Review 61:Do you know, I can't think of anything.

Review 62:The rooms considering it had a balcony, didn't have much of a view, but clean and well presented. The food and all the staff are exceptional. Although its a pub with rooms, you certainly don't sense that,as you have a separate access to your room. Thanks to all will come again.

Review 63:If you have on a room on the back then be aware the kitchen fan starts at about 8am, so if a long lie is you ask to stay on front. Food - the basics are excellent, pizzas, burgers, steaks etc, but honestly they struggle abit with the fancier 'specials'. But don't be mis lead its a great place and we'll go back.

Review 64:well designed and built rooms - really solid and clean. Great place downstairs - rooms are secondary here - its all about the busy bar and restaurant. Lovely terrace outside for drinks and eats. Friendly staff.

Review 65:Creaky floor and bed, parking at night is difficult even for residents as the restaurant is busy

Review 66:The rooms are quaint and welcoming, very nice location

Review 67:did not like the noise of the kitchen extract system in the area outside our room. Very heavy duvet in June! had to ask for sheet & blanket, this seems to be a common fault with most hotels/b&b's

Review 68:The service in the restaurant on the evening we were there was poor. Very difficult to find our waitress and my husband had to go and look for her on a couple of occasions.

Review 69:The proximity of the hotel to the beaches of Treaddur Bay. The food was delicious. Our room was changed when we thought the extractor fan wasn't working.

Review 70:Bar closed before 10.30 danger of being locked out. Bar didn't seem very popular so tended to eat elsewhere. Hotel seemed to be more for one night stays for people catching the ferry.

Review 71:Lovely spacious clean room. Liked the French style. Staff friendly particularly the hotel manager.

Review 72:From the minute we arrived we got the impression that staff were intent on going the extra mile in making us feel welcome. The food was excellent, well presented & very tasty. Lovely spot & short walk from very clean beach.

Review 73:A bit of a drag up steps from the car park (difficult for elderly or disabled.

Review 74:Lighting, drawer space, face flannels, thermostatic shower, light/bright artistic decor with nautical theme.

Review 75:We were only there for 1 night

Review 76:Love Trearddur Bay and Seacroft is perfect place to enjoy it from. Short stroll to the beach, lovely room with balcony and a breakfast to set you up for the day. Not the cheapest or dearest in Trearddur but excellent value for money

Review 77:I only have three things to say about my stay: EXCELLENT ENJOYABLE FRIENDLY Seriously ALL the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food is excellent.

Review 78:Receivef a free downgrade!!! Booked/reservef a superior double room and on srrival wad given a standard double ss the hotel had given our booked room to a delayed ferry passenger paying a premium price. The hotel then blamed late room bookings for the mistake. Not very professional!!!!

Review 79:Didn't stay in the end.

Review 80:Just as we were finishing our meal in the restaurant (food is excellent and would thoroughly recommend it), the electricity went out and we were told we couldn't have anything else to eat or drink. My husband was eventually allowed to have a pint, after which we went to bed, where all the lights went out so we were forced to have an early night. It seems this is not an infrequent occurrence and yet no torches or candles were offered, not even a free drink. We paid full price for the room, and the meal, no discount was offered in spite of the inconvenience. Next day, around 6.15am, the burglar alarm went off, and continued until someone came to turn it off. Obviously no staff were there overnight. A memorable stay for all the wrong reasons.

Review 81:Location was handy for the ferry Food is very good

Review 82:The only thing lacking was a lounge area for guests, away from the restaurant, where one could read, chat etc.

Review 83:Everything was good - rooms spacious, gorgeous- fluffy bath sheets, friendly staff, great food.

Review 84:Too expensive Did not like the food (did not feel like freshly cooked rather felt like microwaved food)

Review 85:Location near port Well heated room Very good bathroom facilities

Review 86:No lift.

Review 87:Food excellent, room very comfortable although heating did not come on - but room was not cold. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. All in all a "grand" experience.

Review 88:The bedroom had a very draughty window and as the weather was very rough it spoiled the ambience !!! Tv signal was rubbish continually breaking up and no bbc available .

Review 89:Staff were helpful and polite and food served was excellent if a little pricey !

Review 90:We could not fault this hotel - in a very quiet location, furnishing and fitting of a very high standard, decor delightful, food excellent, staff extremely friendly, helpful and courteous, we would highly recommend the Seacroft and use it again should we stay on Anglesey.

Review 91:Room was located at the end of the bldg, so as the roof slanted, so did the room's ceiling, which meant one had to be very careful when walking not to slam one's head into the ceiling. Wi-fi was pretty well useless.

Review 92:Liked the attached restaurant, the fact that the establishment was located within walking distance of the sea and the staff was very friendly. Very clean.

Review 93:The floor in our bedroom creaked and so did the bed. The decoration in bedroom was tired, flies in dining room, sticky tables, dead flowers in putrid water on tables. Bath Panel water stained, no ventilation in bedroom apart from French Door. Enough said!

Review 94:The food was good

Review 95:The room rate of £98 was a little high as the room has slopping ceiling, cracked tiles in bathroom, small TV, and general ambiance. Breakfast was interrupted several times by the coffee machine, when it is banged loudly to get the coffee out, can this have a rubber attachment to dull the noise as it was very loud each time! Clear other tables quickly after breakfast, as not very nice to look at food on the floor from young child and messy tables.

Review 96:Staff were very efficient Food was excellent in the evening Crisp cotton bedding Great shower Good breakfast

Review 97:Space,a couple of loose fittings broken door handle, bathroom light not Woking ,out of date info regarding wifi code from welcome pack,Expensive room rate overall

Review 98:Breakfast,comfortable bed,Shower Excellent

Review 99:terrible staff, poorly trained, unfriendly and minimal effort. The breakfasts were basic. The room was adequate, but a £75 per night room, not £98.

Review 100:Great location by the sea, and nice interior. Relaxed atmosphere.

Review 101:Only things i didnt like was wifi didnt work at all for us and the telly kept freezing so was impossible to watch anything.

Review 102:I liked that the room was very clean and comfy. Its right beside the beach which was lovely when we stayed as weather was good also. Its within a 5minute drive to Holyhead Port which was ideal for us. Only stayed one night here but would definatly stay for longer next time.

Review 103:The staff were particilarly arrogant especially in the restaurant. When asked if everything was ok and I replied with 'actiallyno....' They turned away and refused to speak...? The tables weresticky with food and debris and even when asked to be cleaned it washalf hearted and still sticky in places. The evening meal was ok butnothing special... Certainly not as good as they appear to think itis. Upon retiring to the rooms we we kept awake by noisy staff ontheir breaks directly outside the bedroom windows. The next morning wecame for breakfast to a sticky table again and seats that were coveredin food from the previous night. Not a great place a pleased it wasonly one night.

Review 104:Bay and beach wete great

Review 105:breakfast service slow, waited forty minutes and there were only three tables in the restaurant, but the manager apologised

Review 106:lovely room, great meal in the evening

Review 107:Nothing !!!

Review 108:Could not fault anything at Seacroft friendly staff , good location , great food and lovely accommodation . Very lively with a good atmosphere !!!

Review 109:Not starting breakfast until 8.00am is hopeless. If you have an early start you would appreciate a cooked breakfast. Starting breakfast from 7.00am like most other hotels I've stayed in would have made our stay much better.

Review 110:Food was very good and the staff were really helpful and friendly. The rooms were a bit small but they were clean and comfortable.

Review 111:Wafer thin pillows.

Review 112:A lovely place to stay with a busy atmosphere. Nice rooms. Yes you can bang your head on the sloping ceiling if you go around with your eyes closed.

Review 113:Room was tiny for price paid, I travel a lot & this was the most disappointing room I have every stayed in, I have stayed in hotel with a similar price where the bathroom has been larger, don't expect a hot breakfast if you are up before 8.00am , very poor.

Review 114:Very well presented small hotel with excellent food. Bar good but very expensive.

Review 115:We were expecting to stay in Holyhead so it took us quite a while to locate property. Disappointed that so many meals were unavailable in restaurant.

Review 116:Room was very clean and modern, bed lovely and comfy. Lovely coastal walk around hotel.

Review 117:Petty. my toast got served ten minutes before my fry for breakfast.

Review 118:That when I arrived, even though they were very busy, they attended me straight away. Lovely room and good food. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Review 119:The room was worn. The room we were shown had directly in front of the window the noisy extractor fans from the kitchen. We complaint and got a quiet room. The bed was not comfortable at all. The landing was used as a storage room. The price for the room was far too high.

Review 120:Private parking space in front of the house. The staff was friendly.

Review 121:The WiFi did not work initially, although member of staff sorted this out. But it was a slow service.

Review 122:I was greeted well upon my arrival and booking was easy. I enjoyed a very good meal, the breakfast was good as well and I found the room well equipment and comfortable. A nice evening and morning walk to the coast - even went on the beach.

Review 123:The food was a bit pricey, nothing very special. The hairdryer didn't work. Noisy on the corridor outside the room. The staff were a bit brusque on arrival.

Review 124:The room was very comfortable. Good location for the beach.

Review 125:We couldn't have the window open at night because we were at the back and had the extractor fans from the kitchen/bar areas just outside.

Review 126:The position of the hotel was good for our travelling plans. The size of the room and bathroom were excellent.

Review 127:Fantastic staff and the food was excellent

Review 128:sloping roof and cold bedroom. may have been due to bad weather at the time

Review 129:good location

Review 130:great welcome and exactly as we expected

Review 131:Great service - friendly and helpful.

Review 132:No heating !!!

Review 133:Walked out to find another hotel !!!

Review 134:Great staff, really helpful
