Review 4:The location of the Guest house, John was very friendly and the breakfast was very very good. I also liked the fact of it having a bar and a pool table would definitely stay here again.

Review 5:The shower didn't have agreat deal of pressure, and the blind in the bathroom was dirty. The TV lost reception when anyone stood next to the window.

Review 6:Location was excellent, sea view from room was fantastic especially with the illuminations on at the time of our visit. Very friendly staff.

Review 7:the shower on the top floor took me ages to set to the right temperature.

Review 8:location was close to city centre with a nice view of the beach from room, staff were friendly and helpful.a good breakfast included and free parking. value for money.

Review 9:The sausages at breakfast weren't very nice, the rest was lovely. Decoration was a bit tired.

Review 11:A friendly, well run B&B in an excellent position overlooking the pier and the beach. The, sea-view, room was clean and comfortable with TV, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite. We arrived late evening after a long, drive from the West Country. John, the owner was quickly at hand to give us a warm Mackem welcome. After a good nights sleep he was there again to serve up a huge well cooked Full English. If your after a value for money B&B, in a great location, this is the place for you.

Review 14:Bedding smelt old. Shares bathroom was not great. Couldn't get free wifi to work anywhere in the hotel, they shouldn't advertise this. Owners dog scared the life out of me! Also no reception area so unsure where to check out

Review 15:Breakfast included was a bonus. Good TV

Review 16:The location was perfect. We arrived early and were allowed to check in. Spent the day on Roker Beach a few steps from the guest house. The sea view from our room was amazing. Very friendly staff, excellent accommodation and breakfast.

Review 20:It would have been helpful to have a fridge and microwave.

Review 21:The room is big and well situated along a beach front. The landlord is lovely, funny and approachable.

Review 22:Our coach was 4 hours delayed arriving in Sunderland. I contacted John, the owner, and explained that we were going to be late. He immediately offered to come to the coach station and pick us up. After such an horrendous journey and as the weather was absolutely atrocious with high winds and terrible rain this was so kind and we can't express how much we appreciated it.

Review 23:The owner, John, was warm and welcoming and was very knowledgeable about the local area (restaurants etc.). He was there to check us in and also prepared an excellent full english breakfast. The room was spacious and comfortable and overall the stay was very enoyable. We would definitely stay at the Chaise again.

Review 24:FROM THE MOMENT WE ARRIVED JOHN AND HIS STAFF COULD NOT DO ENOUGH FOR US, THE ROOM WAS IDEAL AS OUR ELDERLY MOTHER STRUGGLES TO CLIMB STAIRS SO THEY SUPPLIED US WITH A GROUND FLOOR ROOM, IT WAS AT THE BACK OF THE BUILDING SO DID NOT HAVE ANY VIEW BUT WE WERE ONLY THERE 1 NIGHT SO THAT DIDNT MATTER. THE VIEWS FROM THE FRONT ROOMS WILL BE EXCELLENT OVERLOOKING THE SEA. THE BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT.
