Reviews for Hôtel Les Colombes
Review 1:Hotel is in a great location for touring the battlefields around Verdun. Ample street parking, the room was very clean, wi-fi was fantastic and the staff very friendly and welcoming.
Review 2:It was what one would expect from a one star hotel.
Review 3:Very helpful and friendly staff. Reasonably priced. It was clean and quiet, and a 5 minute walk to the train station.
Review 4:no internet, poor breakfast not worth 7 euros (overcooked baguette and overcooked croissant) ; 2 bakeries across the road could do better service
Review 5:close to city, friendly staff
Review 6:shower could do with a curtain .great otherwise
Review 7:We arrived realy late on the evening .the staff stayed behing and made us food and drinks to welcome us .a real wonderfull thing to do for us after 300 miles on a motorcycle in the rain.
Review 8:We arrived a little late as we'd had a long drive. Office was un-manned and we had big trouble getting in. Wrong number given on phone for outer door access. If it hadn't been for other guests helping us we were in big problems.
Review 9:Easy to find. Convenient.
Review 10:Not a 'bad' experience but the breakfast could have been better for the price. I broke a tooth on a stale piece of bread ! probably prepared the night before.
Review 11:A bikers hotel with parking underneath although a little precarious to negotiate on a big touring motorcycle...but for that, a great location
Review 12:room was very basic and small and would not want to spend more than a few days in it, no drinks facility's and door broken, noisy early as garage under neath.
Review 13:location and value
Review 14:Verdun is a wonderful place to visit. Compact enough to walk, even with my dodgy joints! it has wonderful bars and restaurants which are priced for all pockets. The local battlefield tour is easy to find and well signposted.
Review 15:While adequate, the room was bare bones and almost sterile in its lack of decor. The bed felt more like a cot than a mattress.
Review 16:Friendly staff, easy check-in and out, nice breakfasts and great location to get downtown and to the train station.
Review 17:There is a very steep and twisted drive down to the underground parking. This needs careful negotiation with a fully loaded motorbike.
Review 18:The hotel is a cheap, basic hotel that is useful for an overnight stay on the way south or returning north in France. It has very secure parking for motorcycles.
Review 19:One of our rooms (a twin) was a bit small for us with all our gear. The double room was a good size.
Review 20:Garage For Motorcycles Town centre Location Food in Restaurant
Review 21:Car park is locked for security. If you go out in the morning, be aware it's not opened again till 2.00 pm. Limited breakfast choice.
Review 22:Hotel was close to town centre. Secure parking available. Booked suite - lovely large, light and airy room. Helpful staff.
Review 23:The room was tiny and I had to move the bed in order to open the bathroom door. The bathroom was tiny, the toilet smelly and the shower was broken (had to hold up the shower head).
Review 24:Ideally situated in the centre of Verdun and with underground parking. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Review 25:The staff was very accommodating and beyond helpful!! When I needed a taxi, the taxi company decided that they didn't feel like running that day, so a member of their staff was generous enough to take me to my destination, wait for me, AND drive me back! I was blown away by their thoughtfulness and so so so appreciative of all their help!! I highly recommend this hotel to any one traveling solo! (I haven't been there with a group, but I am sure it is also nice!) Also-- the breakfast is delicious!! :)
Review 26:Make no mistake, this is NOT a hotel, it is a hostel. Polythene mattresses and pillows in a very stark and uncomfortable room.
Review 27:Underground/undercover parking for motorcycle. The main reason for booking the hostel
Review 28:people above me were a little noisy but not too bad. the price was great. restaurants in downtown were less than 5 minutes away
Review 29:less than a block away from the train station and downtown great location close to restaurants and other services
Review 30:nothing!!!
Review 31:I was on a motorbike tour to the south of Europe when i lost my wallet, this hotel helped me out and I really appreciate that! for great pizza go out of the hotel to the left at the roundabout!
Review 32:Window was on the street side and doesn't keep noise out too well but there was not much traffic or other noise during the night.
Review 33:Clean, small room, ok bed; good value for the price, 37€ for one person. Located in the city center, also easy to drive to Verdun battlefields. Parking places on the street front of the hotel, if I remember correctly they were free between 19.00 - 9.00.
Review 34:Garage was relatively small for our van--not a huge issue (parking on the street next to hotel is free from 1900-0900 daily). Only 2 power outlets in the room.
Review 35:The hotel was in a great location convenient to the downtown area of Verdun, which we visited on Armistice Day 2014. The staff was friendly. The room was adequate for family of four. WiFi access was excellent.
Review 36:Décor ' a little tired ' but everywhere clean so not really an issue.
Review 37:Friendly & helpful staff. Safe underground parking.( especially important for motorcyclists ) Short walk into town centre. Good value for money.
Review 38:My room was at the hotel front and experienced minor road noise.
Review 39:Friendly staff, good location, secure parking, cosy and safe feeling, good location; within walking distance to Verdun centre.
Review 40:We are a family of four - 2 adults and 2 teens - we decided to book a "quad", which was really 2 additional cots in a large double. There was really no room- however the room was clean and it was a great value for our money.
Review 41:The location was wonderful; the staff was very friendly.
Review 42:Very helpful staff. Simple white room with great balcony and a view. Wanted to see Verdun and its battlefields with no car, and this hotel helped me do it.
Review 43:If you want luxury, this is not it. If you want clean and simple, it is!
Review 44:Very cheap, but clean. Staff very helpful. Within walking distance of town centre, parking fine for overnight. Can you really find something this clean for this price? Room tiny but slept well.
Review 45:- a regular stayer I've seen most rooms and they are all in a similar condition, requiring a make over or requiring basic running repairs - wifi either isn't working or if it is the reception is restricted to certain parts of the building - lighting in the car park makes loading/unloading bikes difficult
Review 46:- convenient location for restaurants - secure, covered, parking - friendly staff - basic but adequate breakfast
Review 47:Tv was very small, for the shower there was no shower curtain so water went everywhere, quite dirty, beds were ok but not very comfortable
Review 48:Price was cheap and hotel reflected that, had free toiletries but very small amounts, location was good only 15 minutes from town
Review 49:Can't think of anything
Review 50:Secure parking for motorcycle in basement garage. Clean and comfortable ideal stop over. The staff very friendly, what more do you want and at a very low cost, I would defiantly stay again.
Review 51:Wifi only worked in the small reception.
Review 52:At this price, don't expect 4 star luxury: rooms small (but clean, with decent showers); road outside a tad noisy. But our stay was fine, the beds comfy and breakfast was good. Underground parking was E6, but they didn't charge us for 4 bikes.
Review 53:no wifi available for our stay rooms are tired, a refresh is overdue breakfast was adequate
Review 54:location secure parking - good for motorcycles price staff were helpful
Review 55:Wifi was not showing up on our devices. Street was a bit loud but we managed!
Review 56:Sofia was the lady who welcomed us and she was very warm and helpful. The room was not luxurious but is was very clean and quite comfortable! I loved this location and I am sure next time we are in the area we would go back.
Review 57:On street parking unless you could secure a place in the garage - that said it was easy to park on the road right outside the hotel.
Review 58:Hotel was well located, good restaurants nearby. Staff friendly and helpful.
Review 59:Breakfast was cheap but not very filling, better to put price up be a few euros and make it a buffet.
Review 60:For the price we paid for a hotel so close to the centre of Verdun it was very good. A budget hotel so you have not got to expect luxury but for an overnight place to rest your head and take in the night life of Verdun, it was good.
Review 61:Wifi very poor. Rooms very very hot
Review 62:Mixed feelings. It was a good price but was outside our comfort zone. We felt the description on the web had given us the wrong impression
Review 63:Very small room for 4 people. No place for luggage, no closet - appropriate for short stays only.
Review 64:Clean place, good beds and bedding, nice staff, pizza kiosk just 5 mins away.
Review 65:The wifi was capricious which made keeping in touch with my work difficult.
Review 66:The layout of the hotel is quirky and interesting, and the staff are pleasant and attentive. The car park was secure and cool.
Review 67:Rather basic room, bathroom door partially blocked by bed, shower didn't drain, WiFi didn't work at all in the room, rather noisy as facing main road, rather expensive for what's being offered
Review 68:Great location close to town centre, dry storage space for bicycle in underground garage
Review 69:Bathroom was cramped and rather smelly,

Review 72:Convenient location, within walking distant to centre of Verdun. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was simple, but adequate. Very good value for money.
Review 73:This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Room on 2nd floor had no facilities and staircase was filthy. Breakfast served on a tray- no plates!
Review 74:Nothing
Review 75:No complaints.
Review 76:Very affordable, well located in Verdun. Easy to drive to the battlefields and forts. The staff / owners are a very friendly couple with great suggestions for restaurants and local sites. The room was small and Spartan but clean and functional. It was peaceful and quiet as well - no complaints. We parked on the street out front and there were no problems.
Review 77:Only free parking in evening & night. Breakfast quite basic. Small room, very basic furniture. Only one power plug.
Review 78:Silent room, good darkening curtains. Reasonable value for money.
Review 79:Could use a bit of freshening up. Everything in the area was closed on Monday night. Had to go find McDonalds outside of town for dinner
Review 80:Didn't realize it was a one star when I booked, but for just an overnight it was fine. They even provided little packets of shampoo...
