Review 1：The only member of staff for the hotel we saw was the cleaner in the morning. We had to collect the keys from the pub next door which wasn't a problem but we weren't aware of this before we arrived.
Review 2：Although not connected, the staff in the pub next door were helpful and friendly!
Review 3：We had to order breakfast (down to how many rounds of roast we might want and what time we'd be there) the night before. Whilst it was delicious, I'd have preferred to order what I fancied in the morning and waited. No one can help the weather, but you're on the moor here. The wind howled all night and the rain was literally coming through the windows (yes, they were closed). Stepping next door to eat dinner and breakfast meant we got soaked.
Review 4：We stayed in the Suite which was a great space with kitchen and dining room as well as a small lounge and bedroo upstairs. It was spotless and had everything you'd need. We didn't get chance to try the pool, but the area was clean and inviting. Food next door at the Dog and Gun was good.
Review 5：We were the only guests in the hotel on our first night yet were given a room which was noisey as very windy, noise from vent in bathroom. This room also had door to adjoining room, on the second night we were woken by the noisey neighbours, I would suggest avoid rooms 2 and 3. Didn't like the fact there was no one available to contact in the hotel you could ring an emergency number, we only found out on our last morning at breakfast which is taken at the Dog and Gun pub next door, they dealt with any queries. I will say the landlord and staff were very friendly and very good food, as we eat here on both evenings. Also hotel a longer drive from Howarth than expected.

Review 7：Very disappointed that the Sauna wasn't working and a member of staff I felt was a little rude, I know he wasn't hotel staff and he was busy behind the bar.

Review 9：The food deal with the adjoining pub. Waitress did not wash hands after using the toilet. Veg breakfast was the meat one with the meat removed!

Review 11：Not the hotel's fault but we were unfortunate to have inconsiderate people in the next room,talking really loud and laughing until 1am. Rooms are very close together with no soundproofing so had a disturbed night's sleep. Bed although large was not very comfortable and would benefit from a mattress topper. Checkout should be later than 10am, although I understand you can ask for a late check-out.
Review 12：The location was really quiet even though on a road. The pool was great and we had it all to ourselves. Food served at the Dog and Gunn next door, so will review that separately.
Review 13：We liked the way we had access to the swimming pool and our own deluxe suite. The hotel is very well placed to visit the surrounding villages. There are lovely walks around there.
Review 14：Couldn't have stayed for too long as not much space once the sofa bed was up. If you didn't need the sofa bed the place was perfect. It was good for two nights though.
