Review 1：Two beds/ mattresses had been pushed together under one sheet so that when sleeping it was on different levels and slightly uncomfortable.

Review 3：The staff couldn't be more helpful, we had a wait for our evening meal as we were booked in over Xmas and they had 3 parties in they apologised profusely and gave us 20% off our meal even though we hadn't complained. We booked again for our next Christmas shopping trip.

Review 7：Spacious, immaculately clean room and bathroom, great shower, enormous bed and television! Perfect. Didnt have to pay extra for leisure facilities, like some hotels. Never watched a film in a swimming pool before...

Review 8：misinformation by staff who didnt know up to date information. booked for dinner at 5.00pm ,came down only to be told no dinner service that night. was then directed 20 min down the road to a local pub ,upon arrival no service also. found out on the way back there is a retail park 5min in opposite direction with frankie & bennys , nando,s etc ?

Review 10：Staff, poor service non existent. No one greeted us at breakfast to take our room number or explain anything, in fact any one could have walked in. Breakfast was dried up and there wasn't even any tea or anyone to ask for some! Tried to book in the morning for lunch and dinner and was told the restaurant was too busy with other functions to cook for guests, told to go to a local pub instead.

Review 12：The hotel is just off the motorway and the staff are very friendly. This was our second visit to the hotel and the room was very comfortable and clean. We will use the quality whenever we come to the north east.

Review 14：Really impressed with the standard of cleanliness, comfort and service at the hotel. We were attending a Christmas party here and decided to stay overnight as it was so reasonably priced. The room was a good size with a lovely modern bathroom and comfortable bed. We were equally impressed with the gym and pool facilities.

Some noise from wedding guests in the courtyard at 4.00 am, voices carry on a still night, guess they were having a smoke before finally going to bed!

Review 61：There were weddings both nights that we were there as well as a busload of 50 OAP's the first day and 40 the next - the restaurant was completely overwhelmed and we were told that we could only order food from the bar (we were 10 miles out of town, so going to another restaurant was not an option) and then we had to wait for more than an hour each time - neglecting other paying guests like that is not acceptable

Scrambled eggs with yellow hard crust (old), milk in coffee machine was sour (old..), no toast avaible because the toaster broke the day before (ASDA is a 2 minute walk, just buy one!!), no fresh items whatsover, everything packed in plastic. Suitable for a backpackers maybe, not a 4 star.

Review 86：Having waited a considerable time sat in the restaurant, it wad just as well we collected a drink each from the bar, we waited pairiently for some service as another drink would have been nice, eventually we get a waitress to call by and mentioned we have been trying to get some service for some while - well she aggresively told us 'you havnt been waiting you just arrived and im busy' well i can assure you she was a very impollite and incorrect waitress, when eventually the menu's arrived all that was left was one chicken dish or one fish dish, the waitress confirmed they had been busy (although it certainly wasnt when we were there) we were told in no uncertain terms - 'there is nando's and KFC just round the corner - use them if yoy dont like what we have' - i was pleased to pay for one round of drinks and get better service outside - that bit she was right about !

Review 88：Would have liked the gym to be open earlier than 8am and later than 8pm. Very noisy, we had a room overlooking the courtyard and people were very noisy into the early hours, also people talking loudly in the corridors going to there rooms. Disappointed that we were told it was a family room but the bed was a fold up small camp bed that my son was forced to sleep upon. In the morning the receptionist was very rude and abrupt I felt as though I was an unwelcome interruption.

On the first of two nights was disturbed at regular intervals up to 4 am by different wedding guests banging on doors running up and down the corridor and shouting. Review 122：My only complaint was that they were not prepared for the numbers at breakfast. The hotel was fully booked, and there was never a full selection at the hot buffet. Many people stood waiting 5-10 minutes for items to be brought out. On the 2nd morning, we missed the breakfast because they stop serving at 9.30am which i think is quite early. Also, lots of guests paid lots of different prices which is annoying to find out.

Review 123：Booked this hotel as it was one of only a few options left when attending a gig in Sunderland. stayed 2 nights - 1 night was reasonable, 2nd night pretty pricey, and I am suspicious of hotels called 'Quality' as they never are! Arrived to check in, and there was a wedding taking place so it was very busy but we were checked in quickly. The hotel was really nice and clean with nice decor. A nice bar area with comfortable seating, which we drank at, at the end of both nights. Not cheap for drinks but irt was ok. The room was spotless and nice, tea/coffee/biscuits/complimentary bathrooms products. As nice (if not nicer) as the room I stayed in at Malmaison in Birmingham for a lot more money!

Review 124：Two single beds pushed together to form the double. Very poor breakfast, ran out of lots of food and plates est. Phone at reception rang throughout our whole lunch as the staff were covering more than one job at a time. Bill was incorrect.

Review 140：If you need internet access to work in the evening (as I did) then this hotel isn't for you. I was unable to update my email and the wifi drops the signal at least once every five minutes and has zero bandwidth when it does connect. I asked reception to re-boot it (clearly a regular process for them) but this made no difference whatsoever. I also mentioned it on departure and they acknowledged that they knew that the service is poor. Completely spoilt an otherwise OK stopover.
