Reviews for Guam Reef & Olive Spa Resort
Review 1:I am really unsatisfied about this hotel's security. One early morning, about 4am, I slept soundly.Suddenly a frame on the wall which is just over my bed fell down with huge noise. I was shocked by this sudden accident and nearly injured. But from now on, I have not received any compensation from this hotel.
Review 2:It located in a very good place, near a lot of shopping mall.
Review 3:Our first room was very bad with smoke smell and a bad view, but they were happy to switch is to a better room.
Review 4:The staff was very nice and accommodating.
Review 5:This hotel appeared to not be interested in helping American travelers. They cater to the Japanese. Many times I tried to get help with travel and other things and the concierge spoke Japanese and was no help. The staff even was rude when questioned about things.
Review 6:The location was great!
Review 7:This is the worst and most expensive 4-star hotel I have ever stayed in. The smell of the environment is terrible, the bathroom is moldy, the room is not sound-proof, the WiFi is always on and off and everything is outdated.
Review 8:Location
Review 9:No bell desk available. Usually I don't care, but that day it waspouring rain. No valet for parking available. Rooms are okay, but notworth $277.
Review 10:Lobby supervisor
Review 11:Service was ok but not exceptional, only 1 of 3 elevators was working, room was small, got locked out of room on the last day despite organising late checkout
Review 12:close to airport, beachfront location
Review 13:The pool was really great. My friends and I really enjoyed it in there. I also liked the partial view in my room. That was a first. Looking down at the four way and the ocean while drinking was relaxing.
Review 14:Beeakfast. We had one breakfast then we went out for breakfast on rest of our stay. Lacking of variety and kimchi does not taste like kimchi. Put more effort guys!
Review 15:Friendly staff and infinity pool with a great view
Review 16:Overpriced rooms. Overpriced breakfast buffet with very limited selections. I have seen much better food items for the same price, or cheaper.
Review 17:Good hotel location, and nothing else.
Review 18:The Internet kept fail down.
Review 19:The pool has very nice view. There is a water dispenser in the room with 5 gallons water bottle. The main restaurant was good
Review 20:The bed in the north building is not very comfortable. I spend another night in the south building, and the bed is OK.
Review 21:The hotel comes with a good price for twin rooms. Room is big and clean. The facility is also very good, especially the swimming pool!
Review 22:No internet office (a big neccesity in a hotel away from home)NO ALA CARTE MENU NO ROOM FOOD SERVICE
Review 23:LocationBALCONY & VIEW VALUE FOR MONEY DFS FREE BUS SERVICE TO DFS GALLERIA
Review 24:Not their fault but the weather wasn't great, service wasn't super helpful at the front desk, no room service offered, dated furniture, shower too high and sprayed everywhere.
Review 25:Location, view, and comfort of bed
Review 26:Internet is awful. The beds on the Infinity side is like sleeping on a plywood board with sheets on it.
Review 27:Great location. Good view. Great variety of resturaunts in the area and at the hotel. Friendly staff.
Review 28:Room service took all of my towels, the bed was very hard, and the wifi was so poor, I could barely get an email out, and I couldn't even stream music.
Review 29:The pool and the location was great.
Review 30:Left one baggage on the way to the airport. We had to return to the hotel from the airport after requesting them to send the luggage.
Review 31:Location and staff
Review 32:Allowing guests to walk through lobby with no shoes or sandals, numerous people walked through with barefeet.
Review 33:Location is ideal, the staff is friendly and efforts to check in on time were very good. This was a busy time for them with the fleet in port, so it was understandable they were busy and somewhat slow in the check in process. The bar/club on the beach was a nice setting. The pool was beautiful and a big draw for children and young adults.
Review 34:-The service in this hotel sucked. I had to make repetitive calls to the front desk/housekeeping for simple services. -The Hotel staff took forever to do anything I called to get extra towels in my room and it took 30mins. -The wifi was horrible I couldn't check my facebook throughout my stay. -The phone in my room didn't work properly. I had to unplug the landline just to end any call I made because if I hung up normally the speakerphone would turn on. -Overall I will not stay at the Guam reef again nor recommend it to friends or family.
Review 35:I liked the view from my balcony and the fact that the hotel was on the beach that's about all this hotel had going for it.
Review 36:Wifi was sometimes tough to get in the room, but this seems to be the consensus of my friends in all other hotels in the area and in Guam.
Review 37:I stayed for 11 days and really enjoyed this resort. The location is wonderful, staff amazing, and hotel beautiful.
Review 38:I stayed a week at the Guam Reef Hotel and my experience has been completely negative. The room was large but very moist, furnished with old and ruined furniture. The bed was hard as rock and the bathroom dirty. Also the staff was not nice: unhelpful and unable to solve smaller problems. We asked if we could print our boarding passes, they said no and suggested to visit a cafe not far away (but the suggestion was wrong!). We went to the nearest hotel's reception - the Westin - and solved our problem in a few minutes, thanks to a very friendly receptionist. I would never ever stay again at Guam Reef!
Review 39:Very central
Review 40:if somebody wants to enjoy water sports on seaside at hotel, this hotel might not be good.
Review 41:The location was perfect, compared with another hotels. (I stayed more night at another hotels.). and the sunset was awesome at swim pool.
Review 42:Smell of the room, bed not comfortable, lights, no room service
Review 43:Location and the free water dispenser inside the room
Review 44:Should be a little less expensive Smell of cigarettes
Review 45:Bathroom
Review 46:The hotel has a breath-taking view of Tumon Beach! It is also located near shopping malls!
Review 47:some staff so nice and some staffs are soso. house keeper some mistake for room make up.
Review 48:location is really good. i suggest to shopper.
Review 49:the wifi is on and off.
Review 50:I love the pool
Review 51:None.
Review 52:Nice and perfect location. Value for money.
Review 53:But the staffs at reception were unfriendly and every phone call made was charges $1.
Review 54:Location was good and the hotel has a nice pool area.
Review 55:No gym in this hotel
Review 56:Its expensive for what you get. Rooms are comfortable but nothing special and bathrooms are very cramped and old.
Review 57:No bad experiences
Review 58:The location of the hotel, the staff, the Infiniti pool. Also the great treatment from the staff to the customers.
Review 59:old decoration.....
Review 60:nice pool
Review 61:Not enough umbrella and long chairsat pool side.
Review 62:The view and room were well worth the price for my 2nights stay.
Review 63:Not so good breakfast
Review 64:Near shopping centers
Review 65:Housekeeping forgot to clean our rooms and change our towels on the second day of our stay until we checked out.
Review 66:Great accomodation
Review 67:The taxi charges are too high.
Review 68:I like the swimming pool
Review 69:Front Desk Staff was not friendly. Bed is so hard. Internet is always off.
Review 70:Good Location.
Review 71:The bed is not comfortable, the air conditioner is too noisy.
Review 72:Hotel location is very good. close to DFS and some restaurants.
Review 73:Everything except small pool
Review 74:Air conditioner was so loud.
Review 75:Good location, nice view.
Review 76:Aircon didn't work. We were moved to another room. TV didn't work. Pillows too small. Bed was hard. Too pricey.
Review 77:Location. Filipino staff.
Review 78:everything
Review 79:Awesome place. Will stay here every time I come to Gusm.
Review 80:Convenient location, and worth staying
Review 81:Has the best part of the beach in Tumon area. Room is nice and clean. Price is reasonable. Bar resteruant are nice. Dinner buffet is delicious.
Review 82:having to agree to terms and conditions every time I switched on the WiFi seems redundant
Review 83:nice friendly place, good to visit with kids
Review 84:poor restaurant poor pool difficult access to the beach can have better choice for same price
Review 85:good location
Review 86:Staff attitude, worn out room n elevator
Review 87:The water machine
Review 88:Wooden floors were dirty, we had to wear slippers in the room because the wooden floors were so filthy. Also, the morning of our check-out, around 10 or 11 am (we were still checked-in, the housekeeper came into the room as if nobody was in there. It was a terrible intrusion. The hotel is very dated.
Review 89:Hotel requires refurbishment.. beds need to be replaced, at least mattresses, they were too hard, it was like sleeping on concrete..
Review 90:Best location! Walking distance to everything.. great beach..
Review 91:They didn't have a business center. I just needed to check-in to my flight which unfortunately required an OS that supported flash. The people at the front desk told me to go use the computer at the coffee beanery about a block away.
Review 92:Loved the location. Easily accessible rooms that were clean and smelled nice. The hotel smelled really nice compared to other hotels in Guam. Toiletries were great. The view was awesome, and the pool was gorgeous. The beach was terrific! Two thumbs up!
Review 93:The room is dusty. The bathroom flooded after shower. Towels are grey in color instead of white. Access to the beach is inconvenient as have to walk down about 50 steps down the stair.
Review 94:The location is quite convenient as there are restaurants just across the street.
Review 95:The ridiculously hard bed (assume this is to cater to the Japanese tourist, we are not Japanese tourist) made our overnight stay unbearable. This was a short "stay-cation" for us and the bed was so uncomfortable that we seriously considered checking out early and just driving home to sleep in our own bed.
Review 96:Amazing view of Tumon Bay.
Review 97:Free-wifi is only available in the lobby.
Review 98:Great experience. Hotel with best price and good service in that location. Love the pool. Staff is nice and friendly. I chose this hotel every time I went to Guam. Just love it.
Review 99:Very poor wifi connection. Suggest you rent a wifi sharing device at the airport. It costs you USD10 per day and it can be shared by 10 people max anywhere in Guam. All the travel agents at the hotel cater for Japanese guests. Although this is understandable as 99% of the guests are Japanese but I still feel very isolated.
Review 100:I think its beach is one of the best locations to see sunset. Location is very central. Excellent staff.
Review 101:beach is as good as outrigger's or westin's. airconditioner is noisy, but it seems the same in every hotel.
Review 102:perfect location, near DFS.comfortable room, very clean. beautiful pool.
Review 103:1. No concierge to help bring luggages. 2.certain smell from the room (dampness) 3. Beds are too hard like no mattress at all. 4. Wifi only in the lobby. Have to go down to use Internet. 5. Steps toward the beach
Review 104:1. The location is very close to everything. Mc Donald's across the hotel. 2. Have own water dispenser in the room (hot and cold). 3.Beverages free from the fridge. 4. Have access to the beach (50 steps stairs) 5. 2 Big double bed (infinity room) 6. Infinity pool 7. Nice view from our room. 8. Lobby is nice.
Review 105:Nothing at this time. All went well for my family.
Review 106:Because we compared prices to other hotels and only live on a limitedbudget we decided to chose the reef hotel as of the choices for myfamily. Although it was the beach side view, this is always one of thebest things we enjoy about being in hotel. I am a former fan of the GuamReef back in my earlier years and still see today the improvements andclassic style it remains today. I wouldn't mind it a gate way forromance. Offering refreshments at no additional cost was a superb ideawhen one plans just to kick back and relax in their hotel. I would gothere for that reason too so I can have a peace of mind and enjoy thenight life walking through the main side walks just to shop for localdeals. I know that my visitors will want this resource on hand. But formost, it's the time away from my own fast pace world that I can goback too when the need arises. My family would not mine at all stayingagain at the Reef Hotel.
Review 107:Staff is very warm, friendly and helpful.
Review 108:comfort of beds
Review 109:location
Review 110:Some of the staffs needs more training to have better quality customer service
Review 111:WiFi is poor
