Reviews for YHA Haworth

Review 1:Room a little cold even though heating on but was given an electric one which made it cosy. Big house to heat! Mirror in room would've been good!

Review 2:Very friendly and helpful staff. Large room. Given a room without anyone in next room so had a private bathroom. Beautiful old building in a stunning location. They even had gluten free bread without me having mentioned it pre-booking! Good breakfast selection.

Review 3:The house had lots of character. The room was small and the mattresses were a bit hard but the price was right so it is not a complaint. The food was excellent. The thai curry I had was very good! Would go back.

Review 4:Lovely building, very clean and tidy Good value for money Friendly staff cosy warm room as stayed during December self catering facilities were good, everything was thought of which you would need in the kitchen and utility room very pleasantly surprised!

Review 5:Only one hook inside the shower room and no shower curtain available, it's very easy to get wet your clothes

Review 6:The staffs are incredibly nice! I left my luggage after checking-out and the staff Nick said I can take back before midnight, when I walked out of Haworth train station in the evening on the way to YHA, Nick happened to drive by and he gave me a lift to YHA, called the taxi so i can catch my train from Keighley in time.

Review 7:We arrived just as the dinner service was closing but the man in the kitchen went out of his way and cooked us a meal when he was clearing everything away and could have easily said no. The staff were warm and welcoming and did everything they could to male our stay a nice one.

Review 8:The hostel is at the end of an alley located ca. 20 minutes on a hill from the main street with attractions. It is an old victorian manor. Showers and toilets are not in the room, both could use a renovation.we had a bad experience when around 23:30 someone knocked at our door made funny noises and didn't say a thing.

Review 9:I was worried because it was so reasonably priced but didnt need to It passed all my expectations as a youth hostel.Very grand and interesting building beautifull glass windows...very clean friendly staff...parking...kitchen to help yourself to drinks communal rooms very spacious....just loved it and would recomend

Review 10:Showers were clean but water pressure very poor and gradually got worse after 3 showers! Only one toilet near the room meant a wait of about 15 mins in the morning....not great for the kids!

Review 11:Clean and fresh bedding. Comfy beds. Sink in room ideal for kids. Plenty of plug sockets for chargers etc Bedside light/shelf/bunk bed arrangement good.

Review 12:The only complaint was the shower. It was a bit temperamental but got there in the end.

Review 13:Perfect location to travel to Bingley festival. Very Helpful staff and clean and tidy

Review 14:No wifi.

Review 15:It is much better than the picture on the website. It is just like an amazing castle, best living place if you love Wuthering Heights. The staff here are super nice. I love this place!!!!

Review 16:Some of the toilets were slightly blocked (this was late at night), but were fine in the morning

Review 17:Very good value for money, comfortable bed, quiet despite it being bank holiday weekend, lovely garden for meals outdoors

Review 18:Got to a ripe old age and never been youth hosteling - should have started much younger when we found out what we had been missing will definitely go again

Review 19:the mattress was a lot harder than other yhas I have been to, it was actually very uncomfortable and I felt like I kept having to turn. NO Wifi!!!!???

Review 20:Great location, lovely character building. Nice communal areas though could do more with the space, a few more couches and little comfy areas

Review 21:I only saw one shower. We had no problem but I imagine it could be a problem if the place was very busy.

Review 22:We paid for a cooked evening meal in the dining room. Very good. We had our own breakfast in the self catering kitchen . The manager was on hand if you needed him, just ring the bell. The whole place very easy going.

Review 23:felt we paid to much it worked out at 167 pounds for three nights for three of us speaking to others they spent on average 10 pounds per night each

Review 24:beautiful old house shame more care is not taken of the grounds beds were comfortable staff were friendly

Review 25:The hostel is on a beautiful old building in a gorgeous location. It's near the Bronte Patsonage Museum and Worth Valley Railway. I'd recommend going to both.

Review 26:We stayed in a four bedded room which could have been improved by having a rail to hang your clothes. Some showers were better than others.

Review 27:The staff were very helpful. The room although small was warm and clean. Breakfast was good. Beautiful building, the nicest youth hostel we have stayed in.

Review 28:Exterior of YHA needs some attention. Roses pruning etc..

Review 29:Meeting fellow travellers + sharing news of latest adventures. Nice big social areas, + the big bathroom outside our room ( Room 2 )

Review 30:The duvets were VERY warm! Probably fine in winter and if the accommodation wasn't very warm but the building itself was heated well so the duvets don't need to be so heavy.

Review 31:I paid £10 for one night which was great. The facilities were fine and it was a short walk into the lovely village of Haworth.

Review 32:The shower accomodations are not very good, for there could be a curtain between the proper shower area, and the one we keep our things in; all my clothes were wet for the lack of a curtain, there was no way to protect them. Moreover, there was no general lamp in my dorm. But I know that, for the price, in the overall everything was pretty good.

Review 33:I loved the Victorian mansion, the varied breafkast, and I was received by a very kind and multitasked manager, Alan. The views from the windows are beautiful. It was the best hostel I've ever been to so far.

Review 34:the self catering kitchen could get busy I would imagine

Review 42:Here is a little bit far for people with luggage, no wifi, and shop around here is closed early, so it's boring after I had walked around.

Review 44:- Single shower and toilet for whole floor (maybe 40 people)

Review 45:- Excellent value - Good location (for our needs) - Nice building - Clean sheets - Good fun sharing with friends

Review 46:All you can eat buffet breakfast for less than £5, and I got my money's worth! The communal areas were lovely too: there was a ballroom, a study room and a lounge area, perfect for curling up with a book, with plenty of books and games there. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and knew a lot about the local area and the history of the hostel which was fascinating. The hostel is only a 15 minute walk from Haworth: walk up Main Street for a glimpse into the Brontes' world!

Review 47:A beautiful hostel in a stunning and convenient location. The staff were really friendly, great selection for breakfast and overall great value for money.
