Reviews for Triton Hotel Piraeus
Review 1:Room is a little bit small, especially the bathroom.
Review 2:The hospitality of staff, very helpful. Location and early breakfast for morning ferries. Easy to reach by X96 from airport, but not the final stop, get off at the previous one, and go towards the Hondos Center next to the square, then you can find the Hotel.
Review 3:We stayed here for the ferry the next early morning. When we arrived it was late already 11:30 p.m. The stuff was ready to help. Even though the room is small, it is clean and tidy and enough for a night’s stay for the ferry transfer. Just about 5~8mins of walk to the E6 Gate (Blue Star Ferries to Mykonos etc.).
Review 4:The bathroom is very small and shower exstreamly small almost impossible to turn around inn. Noice from outside around midnight- loud music.
Review 5:Location is good. Clean and nice room. Staff friendly.
Review 6:Breakfast was supposed to start at 6am, but at 6:15 the breakfast room was dark and there was nobody preparing breakfast. When I went to reception to ask it, he said that they are a bit late this morning... We asked our money back and went to the nearby cafe. We couldn't wait because we needed to catch the ferry.
Review 7:Good location for the Piraeus ferry.
Review 8:the location is absolutely perfect reception staff friendly great meal at good price in their restaurant, cheerful service despite us getting there at 9.45pm and they shut at 10pm we chose the cheapest room with no balcony as we arrived late and left at 9am all good
Review 9:The bathroom shower was small
Review 10:Location was GREAT and the staff was very helpful and allowed us to park after we had difficulty find a spot at tge port for our ferry the next day
Review 11:We didn't have a bad experience; just found the rooms very basic. There was also loud music playing nearby which had a big impact on our ability to sleep well
Review 12:It was close to the terminal
Review 13:Bathroom was quite small, but that seems to be the norn in Greek hotels. OK for a one night stay. Only two sockets available, one of which was wired via a light switch ie the light had to be on to which we didn't realise so one phone did not get charged
Review 14:Newly refurbished hotel so everything was clean and bright. A/C was very quiet, windows did a good job of excluding street noise. Bed was Cocomat, really comfortable, new Guy Laroche linen. These are only in 6th and 7th floor 'executive' rooms. Very good staff, friendly and helpful.
Review 15:Nice, neat and clean and very close to the ferries. Best hotel we tried in the 7 years we have passed through Piræus on our way to our secret Island:-)
Review 16:The resaurant was shut when I arrived at 10pm. At the breakfast buffet, the `cooked`items (bacon, eggs etc) were fridge cold, presented in unwarmed chaffing dishes- quite revolting!
Review 17:The close proximity to the port. My single room was very clean and had a good sized balcony, though the view was not stunning- just buildings.
Review 18:The staff were indifferent. Most of the food we wanted to order from the menu was not available. The breakfast was sub-standard and the fruit juice was off.
Review 19:It was close to the harbour to get a ferry.
Review 20:The location is very close to the walking streets of Oia. It's easy to find if you are driving a car and most importantly is you do not have to pull your luggages through all the stairscase paths to get to the hotel. The rooms are also very clean and it is really comfortable.
Review 21:We booked here as we wanted to be close to the port for an early morning ferry to Mykonos. The location, staff and room were excellent for what we wanted and was only a 5 minute walk to the ferry terminal. Image would chose this hotel again should we want to be in close proximity to the ferry terminals.
Review 22:This hotel is very convenient for ferries to the Greek Islands, and is easy to reach by bus or metro from Athens Airport. The beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable.
Review 23:nothing
Review 24:Very convenient location for ferry terminal, especially the fast boats. Perfect for the stop-over for an early morning boat, clean, good aircon, very comfortable. Will use again when next needing overnight in Pireus
Review 25:Nothing the hotel could do about it, but Piraeus is not the place I would choose to visit, very run down and needs cleaning up considerably. But the hotel position in the town ticks all the boxes.
Review 26:The hotel was excellent, couldn't fault it, very close to the port which is what we wanted.
Review 27:Great helpful staff, elegant surrounds, pleasant breakfast, super value for money, excellent position close to the ferry terminal, airport bus and trains.
Review 28:The aera is not great . But we are in a port so , what do you expect .
Review 29:It's very close to gate 9 . There are some nice restaurants with live music around . The staff is very nice .
Review 30:A non-smoking hotel yet the smell of smoke was evident on the floor we stayed in and in the dining room.
Review 31:Coolness of the entrance on a hot day. Friendly, helpful staff. Staff attentiveness and promptness with dealing with our concern about the smell of cigarette smoke.
Review 32:The beds were a tad hard/uncomfortable. Also, a kettle and a few more pieces of crockery in the family room would have been good. That said, the apartments were very clean and well equipped and otherwise comfortable.
Review 33:Staff and owners were extremely polite, helpful and accommodating and clearly keen to ensure we had all we needed to enjoy a wonderfully relaxing holiday. We would happily recommend this hotel.
Review 34:Great place, perfect for a one night stay before taking a ferry to the islands early next morning. Very close to the port gates and train station. Highly recommended!
Review 35:Good clean room, where I was lucky, as it did not face the street; if it had, it would have been lighter but potentially noisy. The staff in the reception and breakfast room were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fine, with a good choice from the buffet,
Review 36:Super tiny shower... it is almost impossible to use. A bit "scary" environment to walk at night but no problem for families
Review 37:Nice hotel. relatively clean and with great proximity to the port. Reasonable size rooms. The early morning breakfast is a great service
Review 38:Most of the tourist stays in Athens for 1 or 2 nights and go to nearby islands. This hotel is situated in great location close to Piraeus port. A sort of business hotel that provides nice variety in breakfast, nice rooms, other facilities like WI-FI, room service etc. in decent price (80 Euros per night including breakfast). We stayed here for two nights and spent one day in Athens tour by hop on hop off bus and next day we went to Mykonos by ferry in the morning. + points- Friendly and helpful staff Wide variety in breakfast good room service, and other facilities Metro and Hop on hop off point is at walking distance We didn't find anything to complain about. In my opinion people who wish to board early morning ferry and want to stay away from noisy Athens city center this is the place to stay.
Review 42:The neighbouring block was not nice, however the hotel itself was of a much better class. Dinner service in the restaurant could be improved, both with regards to service and quality of food
Review 43:Short distance to Pireaus port. Friendly staff. Breakfast. Nice rooms and common areas.
Review 44:The room for three are pity small. the design for shower area are odd, after shower the entires bath room is wet. The window view from the room are backyard of the market, is it nothing to see.
Review 45:They only reason choosen stay in Triton is the location nearby the Piraeus port and metro. Easy accessible to both location.
Review 46:A bit expensive.
Review 47:The location is good if you would like to stay over and then take the ferry to the islands in the early morning. Piraeus is a nice place actually.
Review 48:The bathroom was very tiny and the shower could hardly hold a regular-sized person. Very tight but doable.
Review 49:The staff was very helpful when we found out we needed an adapter for my husband's shaver. The girl sifted through her collection and found a suitable one right away. The room was very clean but small like most European rooms.
Review 50:Very efficient and helpful staff. Beautiful freshly removated room very comfortable bed and good sized room. Good value breakfast. Close to interesting local restaurants and right by the port.Just wish the showerheads in Europe were attached to the wall! Everywhere they are hand held and it makes taking a shower very difficult!!
Review 51:The only thing is that we didn't get breakfast included like I thought we would but I think this was an error on Booking.com's part. When booking, I had said yes to the free breakfast, but it did not come through on the reservation, and I hadn't checked my email closely enough.
Review 52:The location was near the metro and the port so we were able to walk to both. The rooms are very basic but clean. There are better neighborhoods to stay in Piraeus, but the Triton hotel was an oasis and the central location was very convenient for traveling from Athens, the airport or ferries.
Review 53:The hotel isn't fancy. The doors and walls aren't thick-so be prepared for noise. Room was clean but had a view of an alley way. A great hotel if you just need one night before a ferry.
Review 54:The location of this hotel is perfect if you've got an early morning ferry. It's only steps from the port. I was able to pick up my tickets and the come back for breakfast in under 10 minutes. The breakfast was fantastic, nice mix of hot and cold.
Review 55:Poor directions to hotel from ferry which made it seem much further away than it was.
Review 56:Near where we got off the ferry and close to the airport bus stop.
Review 57:We had to kill over 10 Mosquitos on arrival at midnight before being able to sleep. We did find a plug in Mozzi repellent in a drawer but these should be plugged in at all times if the mozzi count is high (which in the heat and near water it is). It did make sleeping difficult as you were constantly waiting to hear another one. We only had 1 towel provided for 2 of us and only 1 small hand towel so if you use one for hair you had to combine. As my partner had used the hand towel to kill mosquitoes (nothing else to hand), I couldn't use it for my hair. The shower kept going scalding hot and then freezing cold. It would not remain constant and made showering difficult. Finally, tiny lift which was claustrophobic but needed to get 2 suitcases up 7 flights of stairs. Whislt perhaps not a major deal, we had cancelled a booking at the Glaros hotel for £28 as it wasn't great (when we stayed there on our way to the islands), and booked here instead for over double the price, thinking it would be better. Which in all honesty if they sorted the mosquito issue, towels and water pressure it would be. However, I feel on this occasion it was no better but cost a lot more.
Review 58:Location close to port which was handy coming back from the islands late at night. Although streets in Piraeus feel decidedly dodgy after dark!! Also 5 mins walk to metro and even closer to airport express bus stop. Rooms nicely decorated. Pleasant staff.
Review 59:it already past check-in time but we are still informed we need to wait
Review 60:location is good for people who are going to taking ferry the next day The price is just ok for a quick and simple stay
Review 61:Friendly staff, good location close to the harbour, clean and well equipped room. Electric kettle with coffee and tea. Felt safe in the neighborhood despite arriving past midnight.
Review 62:n/a
Review 63:staff were fantastically helpful and friendly.. So close to port (5 min walk). Perfect hotel if you arrive late and have an early ferry the next day.. Room was spacious and clean.
Review 64:Getting there -- Arriving from an island at midnight, we got into a taxi whose driver wasn't local and didn't know the street pattern. It took him 30 minutes to find the hotel. The room was incredibly small. I nearly dislodged the wall-mounted TV several times just trying to cross the room.
Review 65:The location was conveniently close to the ferry docks and the terminus of the X96 bus to the airport.. Breakfast was really the best part of the stay.
Review 66:The bed was really hard and uncomfortable, no proper blanket available. The walls / windows are very thin, so you can hear every step that neighbours make or if people are walking on the stairs.
Review 67:The location and distance to the port is perfect. Value for money is reasonable. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Review 68:There was no tea/coffee in the room, when I asked about it, I was told they only have it in the superior rooms. As I work in the industry in Australia I was amazed and told her that. She then said she would send some up.
Review 69:Position was great close to ferry terminal. Clean and quiet. Good receptionist very obliging.
Review 70:Small bathroom. Get ready for a short wait at checkout in the morning as many people catch the morning ferries.
Review 71:Great location, near the Gate for ferry to Santorini.
Review 72:Very small room. No fridge, no safe, very basic. Very small elevator.
Review 73:Very clean, comfortable bed and pillows. Good TV. Room looks nice, small balcony.
Review 74:Very small bathroom. Slow and small elevator. Noisy air condition.
Review 75:It is very clean and renovated hotel. Small room, but bed and pillows are comfortable. The bathroom is extremly small but clean. Very nice TV and good wifi signal. For one night stay, very pleasant. Bus from airport, metro, and ferry port in 200m from the hotel. I recommend it.
Review 76:Shower could have been better. No fixed point for shower so could not stand under it. Plenty of hot water though.
Review 77:The night duty receptionist was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and good. Coffee good too.
Review 78:Old facilities but clean. Being on 7th floor with an old fashioned (slow) elevator and staircase blocked as being refurbished. Haven't checked for alternative staircase but the lift seemed like the only way out, which is a safety issue.
Review 79:Location & friendly staff
Review 80:Front desk clerk on check out didn't recognize that I had paid for breakfast & when I showed him my receipt, he did not even apologize.
Review 81:An oasis among the otherwise tardiness of Piraeous.
Review 82:Bathroom very small and impossible not to put it completely under water when showering but if only for one night its okay. Port area itself us quite shadey. Wouldn't stay there for long and not go out at night.
Review 83:The staff was very nice and helpful.good location for early ferries in the morning due it's proximity to the port. Nice and clean room.
Review 84:The room although in 6th floor was noisy because of the market and the taverna with music till 4 a.m. that is if you open the balcony door. The breakfast was below average
Review 85:Positive and smiling and helpful receptionist, the room with balcony newly renovated and very clean and value for money
Review 86:The room was very hot with three is sleeping it and the bathroom was very small
Review 87:There is a lovely communal dining room to relax and read in. There is also a fantastic Greek restaurant opposite in which you get discount through the hotel
Review 88:Not really pet friendly. Charged extra 15euros for a tiny Yorkshire terrier and then told he was not welcome in any of the public areas because another guest might complain.
Review 89:The location is good although the parking is difficult. Rooms clean and beds comfortable.
Review 90:No issues at all with this hotel.
Review 91:We were just passing through Piraeus from Spetses to Santorini. Piraeus itself isn't that interesting or possibly even safe, but the hotle was great. We wanted somewhere to relax and the room was very comfortable, with good facilities (tea & coffee) and we just bought in some food, had a shower and climbed into bed and watched TV. Very very comfortable and excellent service from Reception. Would recommend..
Review 92:The carpet in the room was filthy and the room had a strong odour of smoke despite it being a non-smoking room. The shower was hand held only.
Review 93:Just a few minutes walk from/to the ferry terminal, the Triton is a good place to spend the night before and early departure. Our room was a descent size and comfortable. There is a restaurant which serves standard Greek cuisine for dinner.
Review 94:The room was quite small but fine for an overnight stay.
Review 95:Hotel was a 5 minute walk to the ferry and train. It was very reasonably priced and had a great breakfast.
Review 96:We arrived late at night, travelling by bus from the airport, walked through a dark lane way to reach the hotel. Entering the hotel we found it to be clean, bright, and the staff was excellent. We only had a 6 hour sleep before catching a ferry. There was no street noise, and the beds were comfortable. It is an easy 5 minute walk to the port. Would definitely stay here again and will recommend this location to others.
Review 97:beds in room could be better
Review 98:It's my 5th time in this hotel, I like it. Very comfortable - near the port and metro station. Tasty breakfast, very good staff.
Review 99:The room was on the small side, but this was as I expected, and it was only for one night. Not much of a view even from the 7th floor.
Review 100:Situated close to the port but in a pleasant street. Reception was efficient and the room was clean with facility for making coffee etc. It was a surprise to be able to get a good meal in the hotel and the waitress was very pleasant and welcoming. Another surprise was the comfortable lounge.
Review 101:Room had bed bugs. Chamber staff crashing around slamming doors, cleaning and talking at 7.30a.m. gave for only fair night's sleep.
Review 102:Good location, good value
Review 103:Very close to ferry port and metro station (5 min walking). The staff there are really nice and helpful. But also make its surrounding very noisy. Room is relative small. If you really need a quiet room, plz ask them to give you the room face inside the building.
Review 104:we killed around 20 mosquitoes in our room im not sure how they found their way in but they kept coming. breakfast was very expensive.
Review 105:perfect location if you are taking a ferry the next day as it is about 300 meters to the port. The best waffles i have had in a long time are available for purchase. nice bed, good bathroom, great service.
Review 106:very small bathrooms.
Review 107:Good location (couple of blocks from the Piraeus Metro); affordable family friendly, good breakfast offering and very friendly staff.
Review 108:Perfect for an overnighter.
Review 109:Only stayed one night after arriving in Athens. Very convenient if you want to catch an early morning ferry. Room are compact but comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Review 110:- rooms are small and bathrooms are tiny -area has nothing attractive except 3 nice churches
Review 111:-best looking building in the area -all new renovations -had a bright room on upper floor with small balcony -nice breakfast - 5 block walk to street of restaurants -very close to metro to Athens
Review 112:helpful staff, love the area but realise it is not for everyone. I left my lap top computer behind and the front desk got it to the airport for me, thank you so much.
Review 113:bathroom is too small
Review 114:they have 24hours reception, and staff are friendly, good location very close to harbour E8 and X96 stop, 15 mins walk to Metro station, the bed is very comfortable, reasonable room rate
Review 115:We only stayed one night, but it was very close to the ferry terminal where we were taking a boat to the islands next day. Nice and friendly front desk employees.
Review 116:Shower too small. Hand shower head should be placed high at least.
Review 117:Very clean, breakfast great, restaurant staff very friendly. Shower small but otherwise good facility for price. Good location for ferry. Reception staff could do with more customer service skill. Restaurant should be promoted more.
Review 118:Neighbourhood surrounding the hotel is a little dirty and we were pooped on by a bird.
Review 119:5 minute walk to get to the port to grab the ferry to the islands.
Review 120:The area around the hotel is not very pretty.
Review 121:We arrived by plane and took the bus at the airport. It is a really a 5 minute walk from the bus stop to the hotel. Breakfast starts at 6:00 so we were able to have breakfast before heading to the port for a 7:30 am ferry to the islands.
Review 122:Nothing - everything was fine
Review 123:The location was great and they do a very early breakfast sk you can be well fed and still get an early ferry out of Piraeus
Review 124:Would have valued more support when arrived with heavy suitcases myself and friend are over 70and it was 1am where as staff at breakfast were excellent !
Review 125:Accessibility from airport to boats, very clean and cheerful appearance enjoyed the lively paintings. Reasonable price.
Review 126:All was fine.
Review 127:The Triton provided us with very comfortable and convenient overnight accommodation prior to our taking a ferry to the islands the next morning. We used the direct bus from the airport to Piraeus, half price if you are over 65. The bus terminates close to the hotel. I could not fault the hotel itself, and the location right by the port is in an attractive neighbourhood. No need to stay in Athens.
Review 128:Telephone in room 26 not working. no other complants
Review 129:Bed room was very comfortable and A/C was just right temperature. Bathroom a bit small but everything in it was working and spotless clean. Food at breakfast was excellent. Would definetly recommend and come back again myself.
Review 130:We reserved a triple room and thankfully we were staying for only one night because it was so small there wasn't any room for out luggage. Hotels that offer a triple room need to clearly take into consideration that travelers have luggage and need the space to access it. The bathroom was incredibly small as well, to the degree that you had to step to the side of the toilet to close the door. Just not enough space for a comfortable visit that would last longer than one night.
Review 131:The hotel was conveniently close to the port which was our goal. It was clean, had a safe and a few other conveniences. Check-in was smooth and the staff was friendly. There were 3 of us staying there so we rented a triple and ultimately were only staying one night because we had an early ferry out the next morning. So for our purposes it fit perfectly.
Review 132:Had problem with air con on very hot night ..but admit as only staying one night ..did not complain.
Review 133:Staff were very friendly and helpful changed rooms to allow us all on same floor ..rooms very clean and very good value happy to recommend this hotel for convenience to ferry terminals just a street away
