Review 1：Under the heading of Apartments Vala, you can find Apartments but also rooms. If you choose the room, It is small, unconfortable and expensive. Fortunately, after several phone talks, we were able to change to an Apartment, which was just the opposite, really nice. Take Care not to leave your car at the neighbour's place! You will get into trouble and find little support from Vala to solve the problem.

Review 3：Although the self catering kitchen was quite well equipped there was no kettle. Compared with other places we stayed in Croatia the staff didn't speak much English which caused some confusion on arrival.

Review 4：The apartment was clean and fresh and the bed very comfortable. Nice to have table and chairs and also a very comfortable sofa.Sea swimming close by. Cheap and reliable water taxi across the harbour to shops, restaurant and ferry port. Very friendly man ((Dusko) at reception. Great location for getting to Proizd.

Review 5：There was no refrigerator in the room. We asked for having a glass for drikking water in the room and the answer was no. We stayed there for 5 days and the room and bathroom was never cleaned during this time. The room was in a bad condition. We asked for help to have a taxi and the answer was no.

Review 7：...hopefully I speak some Croatian, because he doesn't speak any other language. 1. There isn't anybody in the house who speaks any language except Croatian. 2. The booking confirmation clearly says check out at 11.00, but the lady from the housekeeping knocked on the door first at 10.00, then at 10.15 asking us to move on. 3. Even if it's written they accept credit cards, they don't. We asked to pay by credit card, the answer was "No, cash only" so we had to withdraw some money. 4. Forget about the receipt, there's no way to get it when you pay. That's very confusing! I thought Croatia was part of the EU... Nevertheless this apart-hotel is very nice, so I recommend it!

Review 8：Wonderful brand new flat with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. You can still smell the new furnishings. The place is situated just front sea with wonderful view, only 2 km away from the centre of Vela Luka. Dushko, the man at the front desk, is a very nice and friendly person, but...

Review 11：We spent here two nights while diving in Vela Luka. The location was near the diving centre, though a bit far from the city by walk. With a car there's no problem. Simple room with a balcony and a view straight to the sea and the city.

Review 12：We arrived at the apartments and no body was there. We called them and had to wait till 40 min until someone came to the reception desk. The man did not talk anything of english neither german. The following day, one hour before checking out at 09.00, they wake us up, knocking at our door, because the cleaning lady wanted to finish earlier. Instead of waiting till the convenient time, they insisted and urged us to check out.

Review 13：It is a bit off the beaten path.. Take a water taxi if you can! We made the mistake of walking all the way around the town to get to the apartments.

Review 14：Very clean, well equipped apartments. Great value for money. Staff was very friendly and accommodating!

Review 15：We had to pay right away, in cash, because, as the receptionist claimed, the credit card reader was broken. He did not provide any invoice for our cash payment, he said that for that he would need to go in the main hotel building. And the toilet and the bathroom in general were not clean. Poor service

Review 17：Very nice apartment at a beautiful location. We had a wonderful view over the sea and harbor from our balcony. The town was a 25 minute walk, along the many restaurants and boats laying ashore. Definitely recommended!

Review 18：Lots of things didn't work: the airco was broken, the hut in the kitchen didn't work and the light on the balcony didn't function. No staff available to repair this. The have plenty of space at ground floor available but it isn't used (no chairs, tables oe embrellas).

Review 19：Once you have seen the city of Corcula (this takes less then half a day but is surely a beauty), Vela Luka is a nice place to stay and (if you have a car) discover the rest of the island. There's a (rocky) beach just below the apartment and an other one at 100m where you can rent chairs.

Review 36：Very dark to walk back at night. The village itself isn't worth a visit at all. Would suggest only good as a stop over if you intend getting the early boat from vela luka to split, otherwise I would say do not go stay in this village.
