Reviews for Low Graythwaite Hall
Review 1:Beautiful home, amazing service. There's no mobile signal and it's hard to book taxis but owners went out of their way to help. Best service we have ever had and we will go back!
Review 2:Perhaps two chairs in the room but to be fair that was not possible with the room we had - think it was possibly the smallest room
Review 3:Nice place, lovely location, friendly welcome, excellent breakfast, warm, friendly atmosphere. Lovely residents' lounge
Review 4:Really beautiful place, lovely gardens, wonderful old house. We had a spacious and beautiful room with lovely views. The breakfasts were fabulous, and we had two delicious home-cooked dinners. Amanda and David lovely hosts and we met very nice people. Complimentary tea and cake and a lovely sitting-room.
Review 5:These are not criticisms - merely observations! Graythwaite is quiet and relatively isolated - c.4 miles by twisty road from population to North and South - but we liked that! Unless one has the forethought to book one of Amanda's doubtless excellent evening meals by mid-morning, one has to drive some distance to have an evening meal. However, Hawkshead offers quite a variety of establishments. WiFi was a bit patchy, but this is quite out-of-the-way and the weather was inclement, which didn't help.
Review 6:EVERYTHING was pretty exceptional. Good points - the building, the hostess, the grounds, the breakfast, the room and the location. If you'll enjoy a well-run and superior B&B, this may well be the one for you. Points against - none! But it depends what you may be expecting - see minor caveats for you to know what to expect. This really is a great place to stay.
Review 7:The location was more remote than I expected from the description. Our room was fairly small. I did see some of the other (much larger) rooms which cost "only" about £10 extra.
Review 8:The look of the property and the gardens. Friendly and very helpful staff
Review 9:Owner was extremely unwelcoming, impolite. Be careful with the booking conditions and request for clarifications, I was ripped off. Take your own toiletries as it is only offered liquid soap. If in winter take very warm clothes and only advisable to stay fir people with their transport as the B&B is isolated, near village is at least 4 miles away?
Review 10:The history of the building
Review 11:I booked this has a present for my dads 50th. When I booked this through booking.com I got a phone to say there was an issue with the booking. After a number of calls make to booking place and the hotel I found the ladie at the hotel to be very arrogant and put all the blame on the booking office and the fault wasn't with them at all. I got the room with 20 pound off the original price. The stay was lovely the only issue was there was no one available to get top ups of sugar for the kettle in the room and if there was a select area my father was made aware of where it was.
Review 12:Unfortunately due to our travel time constraints couldn't stay longer.
Review 13:Friendly, welcoming owner. Lovely location and very comfortable, modernised but traditional room. All gizmos you would expect. Super breakfast.
Review 14:Lovely,large room with very comfortable super king bed. The house was tastefully decorated for its age. Amanda was the perfect host.Altogether a very pleasant experience.
Review 15:Nothing
Review 16:Amanda was an excellent host directing us to the best places to explore and letting us in on local secret hideaway places that weren't on the tourist trail. Low Graithwaite was a beautiful home with very comfy beds and good sized rooms and ensuites. Breakfast was excellent
Review 17:Only a minor issue, would have liked an armchair in the room to sit and watch TV.
Review 18:Rooms, garden, evening meals, good wifi. Amanda is an excellent hostess
Review 19:This property is a unique find. The food, which is prepared by a Cordon Bleu trained chef, is exceptional. It is excellent for groups or family get togethers.
Review 20:Attractive rustic setting surrounded by mellow Lakeland scenery. Accommodation very comfortable -room spacious and spotlessly clean. Proprietor welcoming and helpful throughout ; excellent breakfast in relaxing 'period' room. Happy to revisit and recommend to friends and family. All round pleasurable stay. Thankyou.

Review 24:The owner Amanda, made us feel very welcome from the start, herattention to detail was obvious as I couldn't find anything to giveadverse comments over. I would fully recommend staying at LowGraythwaite Hall. The location of which is along side Lake Windermeresome may think a little remote.
Review 25:Amamnda was very welcoming and helpful. She cooked us a lovely meal for my birthday and we had a very special time there - so good that we have booked again! We were a family with grown up children and their partners and my elderly mother - it suited us all very well! The location is wonderful, too, only a short stroll down to the lake.
Review 26:Building, grounds & setting wonderful, lovely rooms throughout especially the lounge. Great breakfast. Amanda was really wellcoming and made us feel at home instantly. Would recomend highly.
Review 27:You can't book in until 4.00pm looking forward to a evening meal for two with a bottle of wine to celebrate our anniversary only to be told the meal has to be booked before 11.00am on the day. No mention of this when booking?? Had to drive back to Hawkshead to get a meal unable to have drink, not pleased ruined the weekend. No bar facilities. Could not connect to the wi-fi? Owner was not pleased that we had only booked a one night stay.
Review 28:The location is beautiful, well maintained grounds. The house is spotlessly clean and the bedroom very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good.
