Reviews for Anita Hotel

Review 1:Great location (5 minutes walking distance to the port, airport bus stop, metro station), helpful staff, value for money, the best for one night stay

Review 2:The shower curtain was moldy and had someone else's hair on it. The sheets were weirdly stiff. The shower was tiny.

Review 3:It is a relatively short walk to the port.

Review 4:There was nothing I didn't like :-)

Review 5:I liked everything! The guy at the reception was as cheerful as anything when I checked in at 2 am and I requested a Mythos.... No problem, then another a bit later. Refreshed at 9:45 I had a nice buffet breakfast before setting off on a 15 minute walk to Piraeus port. Highly recommended!

Review 6:By the photo on the web site you would think that the hotel is close to the port, which is what we wanted for an early morning ferry. It did seem quite a walk up hill late at night when we arrived, and back down in the morning. Would be interested to know where the photo was taken.

Review 7:Was only there for a short over night stay, but was greeted by a very friendly man on reception. Room clean and quiet.

Review 8:For sure, the area around the port is not so nice and very busy. The room was simple and oldish....but for the price ok.

Review 9:Room was clean. You are near to the port and to the metro station (less than 10 minutes walk). They offer a transfer to the port in the morning if you also take the brakfast (altogether for 8 Eur)

Review 10:Badly designed bathroom (rm36) Door hits toilet seat and very little space to enter room.

Review 11:Very good location to the port and Railstation. A very quiet location.

Review 12:No Wi-Fi (at least not mentioned at the reception). Only 1 power outlet in the room. Tiny shower (like in a lot of places in Greece)

Review 13:Decent if you have to take a boat the next day (5min walking from Piraeus). Staff was friendly. Nothing special about this hotel.

Review 14:I liked everything, it's good variant for staying. The Hotel is ideal choice if you need to spend 1 or 2 days in Athens before going to Islands and don't want to pay a lot. 1) Good location near bus and metro station, the port 2) Polite and friendly staff 3) Clean and confortable rooms

Review 15:The walls were paper thin. We heard high school kids chatting in the neighbouring room. We were only staying here one night though so it wasn't a big deal, but depending on the neighbours you get, it could be troublesome.

Review 16:The room was very clean and the hotel itself looked very clean and up kept.

Review 17:there could've been a fridge in the room and the soundproofing wasn't so good

Review 18:the location - close to the airport bus stop, metro station and the port

Review 19:Tobacco smell in room and disgusting shower cleanliness. Apart from that everything was as expected. This is a stop over hotel and nothing more. Would recommend and go again but would be nice to see the showers cleaned a little better.

Review 20:There was no fridge and in the simmer, that is significant. It was several blocks from the port. This didn't bother me as I travel light and wasn't fazed by the dock locale. It might bother others. The hotel offers breakfast and transfer to the dock for 8 euro. It can also arrange ferry tickets.

Review 21:It is a comfortable hotel. The room is what you pay for.

Review 22:A good, simple hotel near the port and metro station, very convenient if you are going to the islands. There is a nice little restaurant down the street, and some bakeries and cafes around the area.

Review 23:Small room and simple. Was what i expected for price. Suited our needs for short stayover.

Review 24:Good location right off bus line from airport. Area felt safe and easy access to good restaurants nearby. Easy walk to Piraeus port ferries.

Review 25:I was originally told the shuttle would leave at 6:45AM. I got down around 6:25AM to get a quick breakfast, which was extra, and they were ready to put me on a shuttle then and there. When I said I hadn't eaten, they said "Go eat". I asked when the next shuttle was, he was unsure if I would fit, which made me nervous. Fortunately, it all worked out and it turns out the port is a 5-10 minute walk away anyway.

Review 26:It was easy to get to the Port – just a quick drive. They arranged for my ticket, as well. I had also dropped my shirt off the balcony and they helped me go into the room below me and retrieve it.

Review 27:Very handy to get to the port and close to the metro station too to get into Athens centre. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was perfect for a couple of nights on a budget.

Review 28:No double bed but two beds combined together. A little bit uncomfy. Took a while for us to find the way there in dark night.

Review 29:Had an early morning ferry so decided to stay in the hotel for one night. It was our first night in Greece. Better than I thought. The room was cozy and clean.Great value for money.

Review 30:There was only one outlet in the rooms. It stunk pretty bad when we first walked in. The staff wasn't overly friendly.

Review 31:the location and the breakfast was sufficient as well.

Review 32:This was perfect. The gentleman at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. The port is not even a ten minute walk from the location of the hotel. Very pleased with our stay!

Review 33:Unhelpful staff, lousy breakfast, inescapable smoke infused cave atmosphere, uncomfortable bed

Review 34:Not too far from port, inexpensive, ride included to port with inedible breakfast

Review 35:I just needed a place to crash for the night, before catching a ferry. Staff were polite and helpful, though the halway was very noisy as other travelers arrived during the night making for an interrupted sleep. Overall though, a decent place. No big complaints.

Review 36:Of the two hotels we booked in Piraeus on our recent two-week trip, this was the better one. It's only about a 10-15 minute walk to the port at a leisurely pace, and the neighborhood seemed completely safe even at the late hour we got off the ferry. Inside, the gentleman (the owner?) at the front desk received us warmly and promptly. While we booked the Anita, the room we stayed in was part of the Argo (according to the back of the door); both hotels appear to be one and the same, so booking either works if one is sold out. Speaking for the Argo half, the room struck me as something that might have qualified as a "luxury" room a couple of decades ago, right down to the frosted glass door to the bathroom and the matching furnishings. It was still nice and very clean. The room was humid when we walked in, but the air conditioning was quiet and efficient; the TV had a decent selection of channels. Lastly, even though our room was facing the street below (from the third floor), we didn't notice any street noise during the night; it was very quiet -- and I'm a light sleeper! We didn't take advantage of the hotel breakfast, but we passed by the dining area, which looked well-kept. If you're passing through Piraeus en route to or coming in from the islands, you can't go wrong with this hotel.

Review 37:The bathroom was not clean, if you want to run the AC you need to call the front desk for them to turn it on. The room smelled like someone had been smoking all over it.

Review 38:This is good if you are coming from the ferries and need a nearby place to stay. The staff is helpful with directions and the location is a couple blocks from the ferry terminal. WiFi is good and reliable!

Review 39:Poor bath room including flush toilet, and too small room for shower. A dog barked in neighboring in mid-night.

Review 40:Good location, 10-15mins by walk to Piraeus port. Easy to reach. So nice to provide car sending me and my big suitcase to port in the early morning.

Review 41:The room was small and basic, but we did not need anything more for a one night stay, and it was only an economy room and good value. I think they have better rooms if needed.

Review 42:Friendly, helpful and good value for money for a short stay, perfect stop before catching a ferry to the islands. It is close to an airport bus stop, and easy walk to the ferries such as Hellenic Seaways. The hotel has a mini bus so can do a shuttle service to other parts of the docks. We also booked our tickets through an agent they recommended which were left at the hotel for us to collect. There is a small taverna a few yards away where we had a late meal on arrival.

Review 43:The part of town isn't really bad but it's not spectacular either; pretty reasonable, I suppose, for the price. My room was on the back of the hotel so it was pretty small, and the bathroom smelled like sewer gas.

Review 44:The staff was really helpful, with an excellent restaurant recommendation, efficiently booked ferry tickets, and other assistance.

Review 45:The location bear the Pireaus Port and the free transfer to the Port (if you pay for the breakfast), also the breakfast is good. Walk distance to the metro station and the bus stop to the airport.

Review 46:Breakfast is not so assorted when you required.

Review 47:Anita hotel is located closer to the pireos terminal, so you can be in less than 20 minutes at the Acropolis. If you are going to take a cruse from Pireos is a good choice. Breakfast is not included. Room and bed are comfortable, just to have some Rest at night. Staff is always at your service

Review 48:Nothing

Review 49:Very nice cozy hotel with no particular view but located close to a bus station which is convenient if you are traveling from Athens airport, as well as the place is not far from Piraeus port and it's very good for those who are traveling further to the islands. We stayed 1 night there, our room was a small one but very nice and had all you might need: shower, tv and comfortable bed. The personnel was very attentive and eager to help with all guests' queries.

Review 50:directions were not as good as it could have been. It would have been far better to use 'land marks', like 2nd Road after the Church, or past the Hondos Centre etc, rather than 'traffic lights' & 'post Office as they were not that obvious! It was a shame that the hotel did not offer light meals or drinks, for clients arriving late, We found it difficult to get something to eat & drink

Review 51:The Location,Rooms were small but really good, the Staff were helpful, although we paid for the breakfast/transfer it was very helpful, saved us trying to make our own way to the Port. I would definitely use & recommend this hotel

Review 52:Fantastic little hotel, cozy and comfortable rooms, very neat and clean, extremely helpful staff, and all at such a reasonable price ! Location is in Piraeus, which yes, is slightly away from Athens city centre but perfect if you have a connecting ferry from Piraeus port. The hotel staff dropped us off at 6.15am after feeding us a full breakfast!

Review 53:Diferent rooms, first night was excellent. We came back later for another day, that room was lesser quality. Ask for room 41, that's a nice one.

Review 54:Good hotel Friendly staff and manager Easy to go to center Piraeus an metro to Athens 10 min walk. Ask for room 41, that's a nice one.

Review 55:I wouldn't have considered staying in Pitreaus if I didn't have a 7 am ferry to catch with a bunch of teenagers in tow. Pitreaus is difficult to get around in, the hotel was offering to help us out after we booked, but they weren't very attentive when we arrived.

Review 56:Proximity to the ferry

Review 57:Only issue was a crack in shower tray but didn't bother us. We're well used to Greek bathrooms!!!

Review 58:Good location for ferry and bus to airport. Not the most glamourous hotel or location but by Piraen standard it's pretty good, value for money etc. breakfast buffet was also a bonus as a lot of hotels don't provide anything other than a 'box' of stale muffin and juice! Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms small but more than adequate for our needs and better than others we have stayed in in Piraeus.

Review 59:The staff was very nice and friendly... great location if you r taking the ferry and if you are going yo the acropolis metro is very close no more than30 mins to get from there to acropolis great

Review 60:My girlfriend and I stayed here twice. One for the way out and one on the way back to Athens. There appears to be two different hotels in one and it can be a little confusing when booking to know what you're getting

Review 61:The perfect place to stay if you're moving on to one of the Greek Islands. It has a shuttle down to the port in the morning and is within walking distance.

Review 80:Room comfort

Review 81:Bathroom/shower aren't great. Quite small and the roads to the port are difficult to walk with luggage, and it is 10 minutes walk

Review 82:If you have the breakfast at the hotel, they take you to the port for free.
