Review 1：We thought the restaurant staff particulary the manager, Peter, provided a perfect service and made our holiday - nothing was too much trouble and always with a smile!

Review 2：Beds should be better in a 4 star, bathroom very small, window over the door brought light into the room during night. Layout of room due to monastery understandable, but could be improved

Review 4：There isn't someone at reception all the time and there is a contact number to phone if you require the receptionist. If you are a tourist, generally you do not have a phone to use! We almost missed our ferry trying to find someone and had to ask the maid in the end. We were very close to just leaving without checkout.

Review 7：Perfect location. We went swimming before breakfast in a crystal clear sea. Breakfast n the terrace overlooking the ocean. Large bedrooms and aircon. Easy parking.

Review 8：-Staff did not speak English (appreciate we are in another country! Just made it harder and every other hotel did - we stayed in 4) -Staff not welcoming or used any pleasantries. -No shared computer (to look at photos from camera, again all others did and this was meant to be 4Star) -Room was dirty, toilet roll holder had used roll left on for entire stay, under beds had probably never been hovered / cleaned, thick thick dust. First set of sheets were dirty. -private beach + boules on hotel photos was not to be used as this was for the priests, so misled when booked. -Atmosphere was dead, don't think anyone ate there who was staying there. -Beds very uncomfortable and only had twins (no doubles) -Bit old and tired, just didn't compare to the other 4Star hotels we stayed in or got anywhere close. It did the job for 5nights but offered no holiday luxury for a couple and would not stay there if visiting Bol again.

Review 10：Very picturesque and peaceful place, with two small pebble beaches with crystal clear water. The hotel is a part of an old monastery, which gives it a unique atmosphere, but be prepared for bell rings two or three times a day. The old city and the harbor are far enough to keep the hotel quiet, but still close enough to be reached by walk within 10-15 minutes. We had a room with double bed and a bathroom that was rather small, but cleaned up every day. Classic continental breakfast, fresh and tasty. My husband and I spent in Bastina Sveti Kriz one week of our honeymoon and we loved the place. We truly recommend it to couples looking for some romantic time and to families with children.

Review 19：Soundproofing in our room was terrible. It really needs improving. One chipboard is not enough to isolate noise from next door. This may concern only our room but anyways. Staff was mostly very helpful and kind, but could use some professional hand on every day working. It wasn't always very clear for customer who's a staff member and who's just a member of family in charge of hotel.

Review 20：Beautiful and peaceful location. Closest beach only 50 meters away. Room was clean and well decorated and staff was helpfull.

Review 21：The staff is unexperienced/ untrained in running a hotel which should live up to a 4 star standard. In the restaurant next door (belongs to the same family as the hotel) most staff consisted of family members of whom two boys are actually more caught up in problems of puberty, i.e. unwilling and slow in serving. There is no declared private beach, even though there are a few chairs immediately in front of the hotel towards the sea (six chairs for the entire hotel). To go into the water, one has to climb the rocks, no ladder or jetty. It has to be mentioned that the premises of the monastery are completely separate from the hotel. The rating of four stars is definately 'overrated' in means of what defines a hotel (rooms, services, experience, hospitality, flexibility, premises inside and outside the hotel), and can in no way live up to proper four star standard like in another 4-star hotels in Bol (f.e. Hotel Bretanide). In Sweden, the hotel would achieve 2-star status at best. Still, if somebody likes the location, on the edge of town, nearby an old monastery and two nice little beaches should go for it.

Review 22：The rooms are spacious, modern and clean. The hotel is located directly by the sea on a small peninsula next to a beautiful 13th century monastery with a lovely botanical garden. A very friendly receptionist (a young girl in her early 20ies) is the 'engine' of the team managing pretty much everything.

The location is outstanding with the tranquillity of the garden and quiet local beaches, perfect for my husband and I and just a 5 min walk to the town for restaurants and bars for my sons. The hotel bar is overlooking the sea with very friendly service and the buffet breakfast was perfect. The rooms are light and airy with high ceilings, designer fittings and quiet air conditioning ,which I appreciated. Our rooms looked directly over the rocks to the sea with a beautiful view. The hotel is next to an interesting 14C monastery. It’s a hidden gem.

The service is just excellent - Petra was there 24h to meet our requests - always with a beautiful smile. Also we appreciated the variety of channels on sat-tv. This was definitely the best spot in our 15 days tour of the western Balkans.
