Reviews for Grand Hôtel Saint-Aignan

Review 1:Nothing.

Review 2:The room was clean and comfortable. The halls smelled of smoking but the room did not. The WiFi worked well and we didn't pay extra for it. It looked like a standard French breakfast but we only had coffee - it was a nice large cup. They provided a locked storage room for our bikes. The restaurant looked very fancy, but we visited the Super U and had a picnic on by the river. All of the staff we interacted with were very nice. Some spoke English, although we were trying to keep it in French for practice.

Review 3:Felt the room rates a little high for condition of the rooms. Breakfast expensive (10.50 Euro each) But we would use again for the location.

Review 4:The location of the hotel on the river bank. The restaurant was good value. The bed was very comfortable

Review 5:Bathrooms not great, but major upgrade probably not worthwhile in this quiet location. A facelift might do the trick.

Review 6:Hosts were pleasant and only short walk to charming main street. River view!

Review 7:The building is very old, no renovation, no lift. The room is dark and stuffy. All smells from the kitchen are going up to the room. The parking is too narrow and small.

Review 8:Breakfasts are nice.

Review 9:Nothing

Review 10:The friendlyness of the staff, the food, the views and even the charm of the building. Wish we'd been there longer, it's very likely we'll go back and we won't be staying anywhere else

Review 11:Excellent location in a charming town, very close to the zoo. Friendly staff. Excellent dinner

Review 14:Very tired decor. Bathroom very old with broken tiles in shower area.

Review 15:Staff very friendly.

Review 16:Didn't expect air-con and so it was hot, despite the fan provided.

Review 17:Lovely position overlooking the river Cher and pleasant walk through narrow alleyways into old town. Very typical family-run hotel. Great contrast to faceless branded overnighters.

Review 18:Notices everywhere 'Don't do this' 'Don't do that' Breakfast mean and badly organised. Old fashioned- bathrooms very tired. Needs serious renovation.

Review 19:Friendly and helpful staff

Review 20:Room too small, (top floor), hot, pink flowery wall paper, no cupboards, pink bathroom.
