Reviews for Alpenhotel Kramerwirt
Review 1:Location was PERFECT to enjoy the Mayrhofen Almabtrieb, but would also be perfect during ski season. Hostess was warm, welcoming, and was happy to wait when we got stuck in traffic. They helped us up to our top floor room with our luggage, even at a late hour. Apartment was clean, huge, and comfortable! Patio biergarten was fun, festive, comfortable, and welcoming after a long day on our feet. Walking distance to numerous restaurants, bars, and stores, and there's a grocery store beside the building....so if you're in the apartment like we were, it's a very easy walk to grab a few essentials for your stay. HIGHLY recommend the Alpenhotel Kramerwirt!
Review 2:Breakfast wasn't really up to par compared to others we have stayed at. Frequent bus groups were a bit annoying also.
Review 3:Newly renovated rooms were beautiful!
Review 4:Accommodation was good and very handy for travelling by public transport (Zillertalbahn Railway). Staff were friendly and even had a live folk band playing traditional Austrian music outside the hotel at 10.30am in the morning
Review 5:Our family (kids ages 11 & 13) had a wonderful stay here. The suite we had was perfect for the 4 of us, the meals were divine, and best of all, the hostess could not have been more kind and helpful. Would give it our highest recommendation!
Review 6:Average quality food served (particularly evening meal with half board).
Review 7:Great room. Felt like it had been recently refurbished to a high standard. Good location close to the train station. Pleasant serving staff in the dining room.
Review 8:If you book this place, warning!!! This hotel has a second building called Annex,Far from the main building and looks very poor. The room in the Main building not equipped for 4 stars, except soap and a can of shampo on the wall you cant find any toilet accessories in the bathroom, no bathrobe, minibar empty. The owner greet us drank with a arrogant behavior.
Review 9:Excellent food, good and warm serving on the restaurant. Nice rom,Middle of the town.
Review 10:Hotel situated just across the road from the local church beware of the bells chiming! Surprisingly lacking in complimentary toiletries, which seems at odds with the hotel's star rating. Minor irritation of the separate wc having no washbasin.
Review 11:Very friendly staff, couldn't do enough for us. Traditional but also very smart clean hotel. Our room was exceptional, well equipped with a separate small dining area, which we didn't expect. Restaurant and quality of food also extremely good.
Review 12:We were staying in the annexe, but can't raise any issues with that. It's only 30 seconds walk from the main hotel :)
Review 13:Proper traditional Austrian hotel with a pleasant, cosy feel to it. The staff were helpful throughout and the hotel had a nice mix of clientele. The spa facilities are great at the end of a long day skiing... providing you are happy being naked.
Review 14:The hotel is located next to the church, which sounds every 15" throughout the night - make sure to bring earplugs
Review 15:The hotel and especially its personnel create a very cosy atmosphere. The personal really cares about each customer (rather than trying to sell some extra drinks) which made it quite relaxing.
Review 16:I think overall the hotel is lovely and also the staff were all very helpful. My only criticism is that the annex can be noisy (street noise, the shop underneath at 5am) so if you are a sensitive sleeper ask for a room away from the front of the building. Also I think a kettle should be included in the room and not be extra. I have also stayed in other hotels in Austria and breakfast was a little disappointing in comparison. I would also offer twin beds as we had 2 teenagers who would have preferred their own beds.
Review 17:All good and the staff were very kind in offering me alternatives as a vegetarian. The duplex in the annex is big and comfortable for 4 people.
Review 18:I spent four nights here this fall as part of a week long hiking trip with my daughter. We were so fortunate to have booked a stay at this hotel. Not only was the staff patient and helpful in suggesting day hikes, but the owner drove us 25 minutes (and negotiated a reduced gondola rate) to facilitate a unique hiking (fueled, in part, by secret stash apples that she handed us from their orchard) that was a trip highlight . We felt as if we'd been adopted as we were treated with such care!
Review 19:Hated The Annex! It's not an annex at all. Looks like staff quarters!
Review 20:We originally booked an annex room by mistake, which are actually in a completely different bulding that is nothing like the Kramerwirt and the rooms are very basic (2 star at best). The manager very kindly found a room for us in the main hotel which was excellent. We had a lovely stay. Large comfy room with balcony. Large screen TV with BBC1 and 2. Big bathroom but shower a bit disappointing, weak water pressure.
Review 21:Excellent Breakfast! We stayed in Annex, which was quiet and away from the more crowded main hotel, some street noise occasionally. A supermarket on the first floor was great to have. Staff was excellent with good recommendations on restaurants and made phone calls to the train station...big help for us english only speakers!
Review 22:Outstanding facility and the best staff we encountered in Austria and Germany.
Review 23:I misunderstood the ward Anex which means stay in another building,
Review 24:The location
Review 25:Nothing
Review 26:Family run hotel over several generations . Excellent relations with clients. Great food in restaurant.
Review 27:because the hotel was nearly full we had a simple , economy room
Review 28:ideal location in the middle of the resort
Review 29:lokation and two balcons
Review 30:The locality of the hotel cannot be more convenient and the amenities are excellent.
Review 31:No safe in annexe rooms.
Review 32:Great location, good staff and excellent breakfast buffet.
Review 33:Very bad internet connection
Review 34:Staff was very friendly... Balcony in Tirroler suite was JUST AMAZING, like 10 m. long. Location is very convenient espessially if you own a car. I would recommend this hotel...
Review 35:Really disliked leaving. :( wish we had packed out hot water pot andtea mugs for our room. There is a suitably-sized small refrigerator andglasses in the room but no way to heat water; no mugs for tea orinstant coffee.
Review 36:The apartment was larger and more comfortable than we expected. Enjoyedthe balcony bith morning & evening; most guests were quiet. Thebreakfast was bountiful and you were not rushed even long afterbreakfast was over. We were delighted to find a very nice, comfortablecorner booth/table reserved for us in the same place both mornings.Location was fabulous and we loved hearing the church bells. Mayrhofenhas incredibly friendly staff everywhere we visited; it's charnedmum & dad and even 2-16 y/o twins who can be hard-to-please. Itis a charming village and there is plenty to do. Whether you wantrestaurants, a little dancing/nightlife, a steam-engine train ride, cheese factory tour from grass-fed cows or mountain biking, hiking, shopping (hubby purchased a lederhosen set incl socks/shows for 50%off. Quite a deal), there truly is something for everyone. The littleones will enjoy the cows, trains and cable cars, too! Will return.
Review 37:As a solo traveller good affordable Internet is essential. Icouldn't get Internet in the room and it was better value fore moneyfor me to use my mobile. This shouldn't be the case today in such awell serviced area. Wifi should be free and plentiful.
Review 38:Everything was perfect for me. Breakfast was massive fresh and staffvery friendly. Room was spacious quiet and very comportable. Church bellringing was barly noticble . No idea why people complaint about it? Eachto their own I suppose.
