Reviews for Apple Tree House

Review 1:Not so much a bad experience but would have been nice to have a bar and restaurant on site but they gave a number for a taxi and it worked out fine.

Review 2:Close to airport very clean and warm friendly staff, would stay again.

Review 3:No negative issues at all.

Review 4:Fabulous, extremely clean and comfortable, lovely decor..... We really enjoyed our stay before flying abroad the next day from Bristol Airport nearby.... Would definitely recommend and return.

Review 5:My wife suffers from allergy to perfume and some chemicals. The lady we we spoke to on the phone was quite rude in response. The B&B did help with washing sheets forums but the smell of detergent etc was still very strong. Access to the B&B was very awkward. It was a last minute choice but not a good one from our perspective!

Review 6:Katy was very nice and helpful

Review 7:Superb location for Bristol airport. Arrived in darkness and left in darkness but could still see it was a great set up. Loved the fact there was no scrambling up and down stairs !!!!

Review 8:Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Perfect location for quick access to Bristol Airport. They provide rides to and from the airport, plus provide parking.

Review 9:Very small basic room, would not stay there again. No facilities whatsover.

Review 10:Staff were friendly and helpfull. Room clean and shower hot. Close to airport.

Review 11:Unfortunately the double glazed door did not fit properly at the top and we had bad weather so were kept awake by gales. I was also bitten several times in bed! Possible dog fleas? We did not have a pet with us.

Review 12:Location to airport and shuttle service. Nicely planned rooms. All you need for an airport stay. We use the place fairly regularly and have come to expect consistently good service.

Review 13:That i could only stay one night

Review 14:Everything was lovely! Friendly hosts, super clean room & new bathroom, huge tv and a very comfy bed. Plus a packed breakfast and a 5am ride to the airport. Best place to stay for Bristol Airport, hands down!

Review 15:The room has French windows opening onto a terrace with a tree decorated with lights all night. The curtains were not blackout, and I found the room very light as a result.

Review 16:We only stayed very briefly as a short overnight before catching a very early plane from Bristol Airport. Very quiet location; very helpful staff. Only 2 or so miles form airport so very handy. Comfortable room and they left us a goodie bag for the morning

Review 17:Access a little difficult, especially if you arrive in the dark and when the traffic is busier. Rachel does however advise of the best way to approach.

Review 18:No nonsense preflight b & b. Very comfortable beds, quiet room and very helpful owner.

Review 19:I chose this B&B after reading lots of good reviews and asked at thetime of booking to be picked up from the airport from a late flightproviding flight number and eta. When no-one was there to meet me Iwaited for a little while and then rang them to be told “we didn'tknow you've actually arrived”. After being picked up 10 minuteslater and arriving at Apple Tree House I was ushered in to pay and thentaken back out to be shown to my room. At one stage there was no outsidelighting and I felt quite vulnerable as to where I was putting my feet. When I enquired about breakfast I was told there was a small “goodiebag” in the room. This consisted of a small brioche, muesli bar, fruitjuice drink (all of which are loaded with sugar which I have to avoid)and an apple. This might be suitable for anyone catching an early flightbut not when one has arrived late the night before and has a whole dayof travelling in front of one.

Review 20:The room and bathroom were very nice and obviously quite recently doneup. There were coffee and tea making facilities On the plus side, Iwould like to mention that when I rang a couple of days before my stayto cancel a second night which I had booked I was not charged a penalty.

Review 21:The only downside was the approach to the accommodation, and the lack of anywhere that you could walk to to have a meal.

Review 22:The cleanliness and the friendliness. Also the efficiency of the transfer to and from the airport. .The breakfast pack was a good idea.

Review 23:Nothing against the B&B which was great for the price but just be warned that if you need a cab to anywhere but the airport be prepared to pay through the teeth for it and book at least a week in advance!

Review 24:Clean and comfy - owners are helpful. You even get a breakfast goody bag!

Review 25:Nothing

Review 26:Wonderful collection service from airport and then prompt return service at 5am next morning. Repeat visit and will continue to stay there when flying from Bristol.

Review 27:We were expecting to be picked up from the airport but the phone line was busy when we called to say we'd arrived. After about 40 minutes we booked a taxi and arrived to find the place deserted. No apology. We expected to get dinner in the village 5 minutes away. Pub had closed a week before and we were not informed even though we had exchanged emails. This incurred cost of taxi to next village and more expensive(though delicious) meal at the The Plough at Wrington.

Review 28:Extremely comfortable beds and lovely rooms. We slept well..

Review 29:Owner was very welcoming and didn't mind that we were early. Easy parking but a little difficult to find, we spotted it when we turned round when reaching the airport. Tea/coffee all provided as was a breakfast bag. Bed was very comfortable, a large 5ft one which was good especially as we had requested twin beds but it was fine. Lovely outlook and nice a quiet overnight. Pickup at 4.15am and on our return journey, they were there within five minutes of our phone call. Overall, an excellent place to stay for Bristol airport.

Review 30:The very efficient delivery to and collection from the airport at a very early hour in the morning. The little bag of food to take to the airport was very thoughtful and much appreciated

Review 31:There's nothing to dislike.

Review 32:Very convenient stopover for Bristol Airport early morning flights. Owners took us to airport and collected us after our holiday and we knew our car would be safely looked after. The beds are comfortable, nice sized mugs and a kettle for tea and coffee. The shower cubicle was roomy.

Review 33:Good welcome when we arrived for our first visit .very help full got us to the airport with no problems and picked us up ,with our car ready to drive back home .thank you.

Review 34:Amazing owner! He posted my daughter's jumper to our home because she had left it behind. Very clean room. Take away breakfast a great idea as our flight was very early.

Review 35:We was collected from Bristol airport within minutes of ringing. Keith was really helpful and accommodating to meet all our needs. The room was really spacious and I loved the fact you had your own door which in the morning when I opened it was looking out at an amazing view. It was adorable to then be greeted by Keith's ducks who reside at the property. The room was very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The room was really cosy and clean and the shower was lovely. We was the transported back to the airport without any problems and again the staff member was extremely friendly and helpful. I will definitely book into Apple tree house in the future.

Review 36:I emailed prior to arrival asking if food available ,no reply to that or phone calls.directions were confusing and no address or postcode ,even the taxi driver had to ring for directions. The fare from ParkwaY was very expensive ,when Temple Meads was closer( that info not provided) On arrival I found the reception area dirty ,staff reluctant . Young Child running in and out plus two dogs around my feet. Breakfast bag was tiny and mini pain au chocolate stale. Only one gloomy pub serving expensive food in the area . The whole experience is one I would not wish to repeat Overpriced for what was provided.

Review 37:The view from the patio doors leading into my room. Thank goodness bedroom was clean

Review 38:Our daughters were well looked after, as they were travelling on their own to join their parents in Greece. I cannot thank the owners enough for their kindness, and the journey to the airport so early in the morning. Will return one day.

Review 39:Great location if you're heading to the airport. Pick-up and drop-off at the airport made it really simple for us. Owners were very friendly and helpful.

Review 40:Lovely clean room. Really pleased that the extra bed we booked was a proper bed, not a horrid fold up. Bathroom had a huge shower and was very modern. Loved the breakfast bag (Apple, roll, bar and juice) as we left very early. Highly recommended!

Review 41:No pub or place to eat nearby, had to take the car. Would have liked to be able to buy breakfast, but we were aware of that so OK. The breakfast bag was not much for breakfast, but a nice gesture.

Review 42:Lovely rooms and location. Loved the ducks walking around in the garden just outside the door.

Review 43:The friendly and helpful owner and the superb room with a beautiful view. Very convenient for the airport and a pub within walking distance which serves good food.

Review 44:Lovely big room and double length shower in the en-suite. Very clean, tidy and spacious and excellent value for money. Only one mile from Silver Zone Bristol airport parking.

Review 45:They are very efficient. We got transport from and to airport and that was great. Room was very nice, clean and even though is near airport accommodation, it was quiet. They will probably recommend to you restaurant that is near by (I already forgot the name). Do yourself a favor and have a dinner there. It doesn't look like much from outside but food is great, staff helpful and not pricey at all.

Review 46:It was friendly, convenient and good value. It made an early flight from Bristol an easy option because we slept here two minutes away and they drove us to the airport at 3.45 am!

Review 47:Traffic noise, but that cannot be helped, the A38 is a busy road.

Review 48:Staff, room and facilities were excellent as was the location close to Bristol Airport.

Review 49:If you want a more substantial breakfast then maybe not for you, but not a problem for us

Review 50:Friendly greeting, fabulous location, close to Bristol airport with free taxi transfer. Thank you

Review 51:We booked this Guesthouse for its convenient location to Bristol airport. Our flight returned to the UK at 3am. We had a great sleep in Appletree Cottage. A refreshing shower in the morning. A breakfast goodies bag to eat at our convenience was provided. We felt well rested and stress free. We will stay again.

Review 52:the accommodation was lovely and the owner was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble - he took us to the airport and collected us with a smile - would recommend

Review 53:nothing

Review 54:location - close to airport. Friendliness of the staff and great to have free airport transfers even at 5am! The room was also lovely clean and well equiped. Good value for money as well

Review 55:I was picked up from the airport and dropped off. The room was comfortable with a view overlooking the fields. Internet reception was very good. 500 metres away from a pub.

Review 56:Great views rooms where lovely and very clean . Very close to the airport . My son loves playing on the tree swing and loved that the ducks Come to see us .

Review 57:The bath/shower could do with a safety handle, it is very slippery. The breakfast bag could be a bit more exciting.

Review 58:Individual, quiet accommodation. Very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean.

Review 59:Road traffic noise (and I do wear ear plugs) and uncomfortable bed/pillows meant I slept poorly.

Review 60:Very convenient for Bristol airport. Excellent transfer service. Compact but smart room.

Review 61:Couldn't get onto the wifi either time I stayed

Review 62:This B&B is in a great location wether you are jetting off on your hols or exploring the mendips, the view from your room is beautiful

Review 63:N/a

Review 64:The pick up from the airport was very quick and a friendly welcome fromthe owner (forgotten her name). Ideal place to stay following a longday. Room was lovely and comfy. Perfect and will differently stay again.

Review 65:Very friendly helpful owner. Picked us up and dropped us off at Bristol Airport, and he will do this at any ungodly hour, included in the room price. This is in lieu of a traditional B&B breakfast, but I'd say it's a good swap!

Review 66:The breakfast bag is adequate to give for light breakfast - however the chocolate brioche were rather dry.

Review 67:Rachael & Keith offer free transfers to/from Bristol Airport. The rooms are very comfortable with everything you might need for an overnight stay. They also offer holiday parking at a rate cheaper than the airport car parks. this was our 2nd stay & would certainly stay again when flying from Bristol.

Review 68:So close to the airport with on site parking available while away on holiday and free transfers included in very competitive price. The second time we have used Apple Tree House and would thoroughly recommend.

Review 69:It is an ideal overnighter for Bristol airport. The breakfast bag was welcome, as I would not have wanted to eat at 5am. I shall use this B&B again.

Review 70:Stayed here before an early flight, owners are friendly, rooms clean, daughter enjoyed chasing the poor ducks around. Good value when leaving your car instead of paying airport parking and transfers to and from airport was great. Thankyou.

Review 71:Difficult exit onto the main road, but shortly to be rectified with a new entrance we are told.

Review 72:Excellent Location, superb facilites, comfortable bed, good shower, plenty of hot water, all you need for a quick get away in the morning, Excellent value for money.

Review 73:needs a better variety of breakfast as my partner cant drink orange juice or dark chocolate

Review 74:very clean ,friendly staff that made every effort to accommodate our needs.

Review 75:Could hear traffic noise all night, due to proximity of main road.

Review 76:The comfy bed; cleanliness, very friendly owners who delivered and collected us from the airport; views; breakfast pack.

Review 77:Travelled down late Thursday night for an early flight Friday morning. The lady was very polite and efficient, arranging a time for our transfer in the morning. All went well and was perfectly timed! Pick up from Bristol Airport was impressive too.

Review 78:Very warm welcome.Room large, nicely furnished-perfect for our early start at Bristol Airport.Would definitely recommend to anyone flying early/coming home late.

Review 79:There is nothing to not like...we wouldnt hesitate to book again if flying out from Bristol early.

Review 80:Everthing. The friendly owner who greeted us with a smile and helped my friend and I with our cases to our room. He then got up incredibly earlier to run us to the airport for our early flight (at no extra charge). Lovely spacious room, immaculate throughout and lovely bathroom facilities. Free Wifi. Little breakfast bag.

Review 81:Everything, its a really nice place to stay when you are in Bristol, very comfortable, clean, nice. Pick-up from/to the airport is really a big bonus! Very friendly owners of the house! Next time I will come back with my family :)

Review 82:A short drive south of Bristol the location is ideal for touring from Bristol into Somerset, including Wells, Cheddar, Glastonbury, Yeovilton etc.etc.

Review 83:Nothing. Except it is difficult to spot the place on a dark, murky night from North or South. Suggest the sign is illuminated when guests are expected at night.

Review 84:Room was far better than average. The breakfast bag was a nice idea in the absence of a dining room. The room was very warm and welcoming on a pretty awful night.

Review 85:The room was spotless, attractive and comfortable. Bathroom too. The location, although just off the road, is peaceful and our car was just outside the room handy for our early start.

Review 86:The breakfast was a let down. Their reason was a lot of people leave early for the airport, however as someone who wasn't usinf the airport a proper breakfast would have been nice!

Review 87:The view

Review 88:We stayed at Apple Tree House the night before an early flight from Bristol Airport. It was a lovely place to stay - the owners are very friendly and helpful, rooms simple but comfortable and the free airport transfer (which takes about 5 minutes) was great. For an extra few pounds per night you can leave your car there ready to collect on your return.

Review 89:I arrived late in the dark but Steve (I think that was his name) was helpful, showed me where to park and to my room. Oh and the two little dogs were also welcome as I was already missing my greyhound. It's a bit like a motel, the rooms are on the outside but had everything you need for a nights stay. It was warm, quiet, the bed was comfy which is rare these days. Lovely en suite, telly, tea making facilities and I believe wi fi should you want it. Above all it was spotless. As I don't eat bread he gave me some gluten free bars and milk for my special cereal. My flight was departing at 0625! he lent me an alarm clock and shuttled myself and other couple to airport at 0530. I was able to leave the car there for a week for £25. Although I came back later than planned he still picked me up from the airport for no extra charge. It was the first time I had ever flown alone and was feeling sick with nerves but although he didn't realise it his efficient kindness helped enormously. I would definitely stay there again, thank you.

Review 90:Amazing staff, rooms are perfect clean & fresh & modern. The free transfer to the airport was great . Would def return if flying from bristol again

Review 91:It is not so near a restaurant if you don't have a car.

Review 92:Amazing value for money. Airport pickup included and friendly ducks to see me off on a morning and welcome me home!

Review 93:We arrived late in the evening so the fast and free airport pick-up was much appreciated. One of the owners, Keith, was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and well decorated and I liked the breakfast pack, free wi-fi and power shower!

Review 94:The walls are quite thin in the room, but luckily my neighbours weren't too noisy and I managed to sleep like a baby.

Review 95:Location was excellent and the fact that they offer a free shuttle service to and from the airport is wonderful.

Review 96:The hole in the middle of nowhere, but you can hear motorway all night long. Very cold inside. Not possible to take a shower, because it seems outside (not heated bathroom). Bed is terrible soft.

Review 97:Staff

Review 98:The only slight down side was the internet which didn't work in the evening but came on when we had to leave in the morning!

Review 99:Very comfortable bed and an amazing bathroom with a lovely shower. The room was warm and inviting with kettle and hot drinks avaliable. Also the breakfast bag was great which kept us going as we had to leave early in the morning. Excellent location for Bristol Airport.

Review 100:As we missed breakfast with early flight, a better thought out (less bargain basement processed items) packed breakfast would have been good.

Review 101:So very convenient and both B and B and the airport transport really efficient, just what we needed.

Review 102:Nothing.

Review 103:This was the perfect choice prior to flying out of Bristol airport. We were very satisfied with all aspects of our visit and we expect to return. Thank you.

Review 104:Nothing at all. It was perfect.

Review 105:Sparklingly clean, very comfortable, well equipped and surprisingly quiet. Good parking facilities, good breakfast bag. Very well thought out. Only 5 minutes' drive from the airport.

Review 106:One of the reviews said there was a lovely pub 5 mins from Apple Tree House that did lovely food. It was quite a walk and certainly not 5 mins!

Review 107:Everything!

Review 108:It is on a very busy road and the entrance is difficult to get in and out of. We hadn't realised that the accommodation was in motel-type external buildings and there was quite a bit of noise heard from traffic, cars coming and going and feet crunching on gravel.

Review 109:Very nice accommodation and convenient parking and transfer service for the airport.

Review 110:I was travelling from Cardiff by Greyhound coach and was picked up and taken to Apple Tree house for my overnight stay. I was also transferred to the airport for an early flight. The room was spotless and nicely presented, lovely hot shower and comfy bed. A breakfast pack was also provided and ideal for those with an early start. All round a great place to stay and as a lone traveller it was a safe environment.

Review 111:Situated on fast corner of main road but this was not a problem as the owner crossed the road to see us out.

Review 112:Efficient drop off and collection from airport. Very clean facilities, good wifi connection. The owner was very helpful and advised location of restaurants, pubs and takeaways nearby.

Review 113:Loved it, great place to stay when u need to be at the airport early, they let you leave your car there, they drop you off and pick you up when you arrive back from airport, took the stress out of everything, will defiantly use them again, thank you :-)

Review 114:Super, big and comfortable room. Clean and quiet. The best bit was a small breakfast grab bag to take with you to fill the gap before an early flight.

Review 115:breakfast bag would be better with real juice and maybe something savoury rather than all sweet.

Review 116:modern decor (looks very newly refurbished), comfortable bed, just a few minutes drive from airport, excellent value for money. Breakfast bag for an early getaway a good idea (brioche, muesli bar, fruit & drink).
