Reviews for Noufara

Review 1:The owner and employes were very helpfull to help you with lot a responsability and kindness. Excellent service. Nice view. Good Breakfast. In Noufara we found the real Greek hospitality. Manoli & Cristina

Review 2:They charged me in cash the night we arrived, didn't give a receipt and then a different receptionist made me pay again in the morning as we could not prove we had already paid........ it was a cheap over night stay until this happened. Never again

Review 3:Leaving the hotel

Review 4:I asked for the busstop to the airport. The receptionist gave me a map and wrote down the name of the street on my request because on the map the letters were so small that you can hardly read them. When I looked in the street, it appeared to be wrong, it was three streets away from the right place. Back in the hotel the receptionist was not there anymore. When I told the new receptionist that I was given wrong information, he shook his shoulders and just said, 'What do you want me to say, I did not make that mistake.

Review 5:We had two rooms and one smelt heavily if cigarettes and the other rooms air conditioning was broken and had now towls in the bathroom, but when we addressed these issues with reception they were very helpful and changed our rooms quite happily.

Review 6:Location

Review 7:The hotel is perfectly situated to visit Athens, without being IN Athens. It is also ideal for visiting Piraeus itself, being on the main street, only 10 minutes from the marina.

Review 8:The hotel and my room was very clean and comfortable. All of the staff was very very nice and helpful. The location perfect for dining, shopping and getting to the port.

Review 9:Bathroom a bit small and in need of a re-fresh.

Review 10:It's clean, functional, well located for port in an intestine area.Well sound-insulated against the busy street, big balcony. Best of all, charming Maria at reception who gave I us a complimentary breakfast, just out of kindness.

Review 11:It would have been nice to have received directions from the port in advance. As it was we had to ask three different people for the way.

Review 12:Distance from docks. Products in bathroom. Reliability of alarm call. Directions from reception staff of how to find restaurants and bars. Ease and reliability of booking.

Review 13:the hairdryer was broken

Review 14:room was very very big and located at the 8th floor. View was great, the double bed was a read double bed and not two silly single beds next to each other. The room and the bathroom was super clean and really comfortable. This hotel is ideally located just 10 min away from the port where you will arrive with the ferry or where you would take one to go to the many many Greek islands.

Review 15:Very central location, 10 min walk from the port, 5 min walk to the bus stop X96 going to international airport. Hotel is clean and modern. Room is not so big for 4 people but for one night is OK.

Review 16:Need to walk a good amount of steps to get to the hotel from the port

Review 17:Super friendly hotel staff that really cares about their guests Great location, close to the action but far enough for a good rest Clean rooms, air conditioning Guests have a use of a shared terrace and kitchen

Review 18:Bad smell in the toilet. Very old and small lift.

Review 19:Good position near the port if you need to take a ferry early in the morning. Shops and restaurants walking distance. Rooms are big.

Review 20:The bed was uncomfortably hard and the rooms were noisy. Our room was at the end of the hall but we could hear the elevator arriving and talking from the hall.

Review 21:The location is excellent, this hotel is between the shops. Close by is a nice bakery with good sandwiches.

Review 22:Nothing

Review 23:Since we would travel by ferry the next day, it was great to stay here because of the location, breakfast time and the delicious breakfast. The staff was very nice and service minded. If we need to stay in Pireus another time, this will definitely be were we will spend the night.

Review 24:Slight smoke smell soon got rid of.

Review 25:Stayed for 5 days mid June pre cruise. Nice big room with balcony. All the staff were friendly and happy. Excellent breakfast. Good safe location on bus route and walking distance to port, shops, marina, beach and restaurants.Guest internet. Would happily visit again.

Review 26:The rooms all smell of cigarettes. As if the Greeks get together in the offseason and have smoking parties in all the rooms. We asked for a new room, and the second also smelled of cigarette smoke. In fact, even though all rooms are "non-smoking," they all had ashtrays! The second room was not yet ready, and the carpeting - really thin industrial stuff - was wet with shampoo for the next few hours.

Review 27:Not much to "like." Breakfast was fine. It served our purposes of rest near the port.

Review 28:orange décor & carpets

Review 29:nice safe location with shops & restaurants, vicinity to port & to airport-bus stop, good size room with balcony & air-conditioning

Review 30:The hotel is on the level of 2 stars hotels, no more.

Review 31:It's a good hotel to stay overnight before your ferry trip from Pireus; it provides basic facilities and is quite close to the ferry port. Nice and helpful recepcionist.

Review 32:Strong smell of cigarettes in the room.

Review 33:Great location for taking the ferry in Piraeus. Five minute walk from port. Staff very helpful. Clean and inexpensive. Ideal for an overnight before or after the ferry crossing. Excellent value for money.

Review 50:Location...friendly staff...good food...family run hotel

Review 51:It was a walk away from cafes, bars etc. We stayed here for the night in transit from an island on our way home. Guy at the desk was very helpful.

Review 79:Could do with refurbishing

Review 80:Good value for money for an overnight stay. Basic breakfast.

Review 81:The hotel was clean, comfortable and close to the port.

Review 82:Small room for four beds.

Review 83:Not far from the port. Clean an tidy.

Review 84:elevator late coming

Review 85:excellent position good price and clean

Review 86:Facilities a little bit old-fashioned

Review 87:Great location (very close to the gates where boats sail to the islands) Very clean Not expensive

Review 88:Very strong smell of smoke throughout. Requested non smoking but still got a smoking room

Review 89:The hotel was in a good location very close to the port if you need to leave early.

Review 90:The tiny elevator took my daughter and I with half the luggage to the 5th floor. After waiting some 15 minutes, we tried to go down for my husband but the elevator wouldn't work. We had to climb 5 flights with the remaining 2 bags. It did work after that though. The room was a bit small.

Review 91:The hotel was close to the ferries and in a good neighborhood with shops and cafés nearby. The beds were comfortable, and the room was sufficiently sound proofed. The room was clean. The staff were very helpful.

Review 92:The air conditioning broke and partially flooded the room. No alternative was available. No refund was offered. After complaint a free breakfast was offered, not good enough.

Review 93:It's a very convenient location if you are passing through the port.

Review 94:There is no parking place available nearby and to take your luggage from/ to the car/ taxi you have to cross a very crowded street.

Review 95:Very good location if you want to continue your trip by ferry from the port of Piraeus (a few minutes from the ferry terminals)

Review 96:Value for money wasn't good.very expensive for the facilities and the hotel's quality. very noisy room, without window's shades and faulting water supply . i had never have water for shower !!!! the only reason i accept to stay one night was because of the security of area ( very central street )

Review 97:very polite staff. very central location.

Review 98:This is the second time we have stayed at Noufara and it was as good this time. It's close to the ferry to the islands .the breakfast is excellent.

Review 99:There was only 1 problem, which was the non-smoking room I was in smelled of smoke, possibly through the air-conditioning.It was not terrible, but it was noticeable and sometimes unpleasant.

Review 100:A nice full breakfast was served early - very welcome as I had to catch an early ferry. The lady in the breakfast area was really friendly and extremely helpful, which for me is really is important at a hotel. My stay was short but very pleasant and I will be returning in a few days.

Review 101:The room and bathroom were difficult to get around in. I.E. poor design. The bathroom door just cleared the vanity basin and couldn't openbeyond 90 deg. As it hit the toilet behind it. Also the toilet was avery poor design and no. 2'S often didn't flush very well.

Review 102:By far the best thing about Noufara Hotel is its location in Pireas.Heaps of restaurants just around the corner and near the non-ferryharbour where a food fair was being held. Though the road was verynoisy we didn't have much of problem being on the 6th floor withthe door closed.

Review 103:Specified through reservation criteria no smoking room. Reservation confirmation did not expressly indicate that no smoking room was confirmed. Was allocated room that had an entirely unacceptable stench of cigarette smoke. Upon complaint was reallocated room 604 which was more acceptable , but also had an ash tray and was evidently not an exclusive non smoking room. Conclusion: hotel is not serious about the provision of non smoking rooms and for this reason I would not return. Helpful young front office staff, less chirpy mature lady managing breakfast room.

Review 104:Proximity to buses trains and port.

Review 105:I arrived late night in the port and needed a cheap, clean place to sleep before leaving for the aiport the next morning. The hotel was within walking distance, with a bus stop right around the corner for me to catch the express bus to the aiport the next morning. For the price, it was perfect.

Review 106:Very nice and helpful staff, Andreas is the best. Good location walkingdistance to the port. Excelent cost/benefit. I recommend if you have totake a ferry to the islands early morning.

Review 107:They advertise as being close to the port - but it is a rather long walk from the port (and we're in good shape). They also have lights on the porch that you can't turn off. They automatically turn off (I think after 10) but if you have to go to bed early it is too bright (they also provide really skimmpy drapes). The hotel clerk couldn't provide simple directions (and I speak Greek). As far as I can figure out, with all the other hotels in the area- if you are looking for a base to get to the islands- this hotel isn't it.

Review 108:They have a good breakfast. They will hold your luggage.

Review 109:Not all that keen on twin beds, but acceptable.

Review 110:This is a clean, solid, efficient budget hotel in the heart of Piraeus. It is convenient for the ferries. Despite being on a busy street, withthe a/c on and the windows closed, it is relatively quiet. Great to havetelevision with bbc, cnn and Al Jazeera in English besides the usualarray of Greek channels. Breakfast was relatively decent for a 3 starlevel. The hotel was willing to store our bags for the day when we lefton a night ferry. While the rooms are small, they are well maintained. Wewould stay here again compared to other offerings in Piraeus.

Review 111:Rooms a little crammed

Review 112:I chose Noufara for its position at the Piraeus Port. From this point ofview, it is perfect. Ten minutes walk (considering the luggage trolleys, otherwise you can do it in five) and you are at the gates of thehydrofoils to the islands. Staff is nice and breakfast is very good.

Review 113:Everything was good

Review 114:we just stay for one night. Good location close to the harbour

Review 115:Great staff, very usefull

Review 116:No control to adjust air-conditioning.

Review 117:Large bedroom and shower, high ceilings.

Review 118:The friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. Also that I was remembered from my last visit 10 years ago.
