Reviews for Redhill House Boutique Hotel
Review 1:The bed in the room was very old and made a sound on every move. Poor sleep at night There was no bathtub nor shower..every time we took a shower the bathroom was a mess
Review 2:Friendly Staff, acceptable breakfast
Review 3:After flying into Bristol airport late, had to find hotel late at night. No problem for staff greeting me. Wish I could of stayed longer.
Review 4:Close to airport. large room and comfortable. Clean and good breakfast. Good nights rest. Homely.
Review 5:I was in room 3 and was woken up about 5am to hear someone either repeatedly knocking nails into something or chopping ingredients in the kitchen. It was loud & repetitive going on for about an hour.
Review 6:Friendly atmosphere and very high prominence given to customer service. Food quality was also high.
Review 7:Arrived late but that was no problem for the staff. Got the last room which was very big and well appointed. Just a shame i didn't have more time to try the pool. I normally find uk hotels very disappointing but this one is the exception. I would stay again for sure.
Review 8:The photos online make the rooms look more luxurious than they are. This is a B & B and not a boutique hotel! Inclusive breakfast is only continental and a very poor buffet. Horrible back entrance to car park and long walk to reception. Too expensive for what it is!
Review 9:It was close to where we needed to be.
Review 10:Food was average at best didn't go with the word boutique !! Food was served cold, didn't seem organised. Continental breakfast ok. Layout wasn't set up for more than couples dining.
Review 11:Room, location staff excellent.
Review 12:Hotel in a lovely setting with great gardens and views, staff lovely friendly and helpful. Room perhaps a little gloomy but comfortable with everything working cleanliness good and a good stock of room area and coffee. Restaurant excellent buffet breakfast of a very high standard. Evening meal menu only about 4 choices of starters and mains however great food well cooked
Review 13:We were catching an early morning flight and weren't able to appreciate the full facilities and grounds
Review 14:We arrived at 10.30 in the night hungry and tired, and the young lady at reception showed us to the room and then tussled us up some sandwiches and crisps, First class service very welcoming staff and a credit to the hotel
Review 15:The bedroom was tired - furnishings dirty and tired. Headboard was not nice at all. Bulb in one bedside lamp not working, cobwebs everywhere, grouting in shower was revolting - mould and pink scale from water Came off on your fingers if touched. The noise of the road, banging of fire doors throughout the night and the overwhelming stench of a fatty smell from the kitchen all resulted in very little sleep and we were glad to leave to go to the airport. The hotel pictures on booking.com are misleading and the title is mis- leading - it is attempting to be a ' boutique' hotel but it is not. The staff were very nice and couldn't be faulted but we were really disappointed and won't be returning again.
Review 16:The staff were very welcoming and helpful
Review 17:The hotel was in an ideal location for our mini break, the bedroom was so spacious and filled with everything we needed. The food was lovely and breakfast was the best we had had for a long time choice and availability excellent. The swimming pool was a must for relaxing
Review 18:The bed was a little hard for us. No cooked breakfast.
Review 19:We loved the room, spacious and clean. The staff we very very helpful and couldn't do enough for us.
Review 20:The breakfast let it down us English expect a cooked breakfast! ! And one small thing the pillows were so hard!
Review 21:Staff were very friendly nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was lovely and clean. We didn't use the swimming pool but it looked lovely.
Review 22:Pictures in the hall/lobby a bit risqué/explicit depending on taste
Review 23:Welcoming friendly staff, excellent parking. Comfortable room and good facilities. Didn't have time to use swimming pool but looked good. Lovely views and garden.
Review 24:The location and the wonderful staff. The room was beautiful and comfortable; the staff was friendly; and I had a delicious dinner served to me in the garden with a sweeping view of the countryside.
Review 25:Only thing was when we went swimming I didn't like how the shower and Toliet were in the same cubicle cause I cleaned my daughter and then she kept going to touch the toliet! Also entrance in was a bit tricky was either steps or a slope with large smaller steps so wasn't buggy/kid friendly really. Would say it was more of a hotel for couples/newly weds
Review 26:the room was gorgeous and massive the lovely lady on reception when we arrived upgraded us as I had a baby and a 2year old so wanted to give us more space which was very kind. It was great having sky tv so I could entertain lil one with Nick jr etc. Lovely and powerful shower! The garden was gorgeous to walk around with too large ponds with lots of fish in daughter loved that. Breakfast was brilliant lots to choose from
Review 27:food was terrible- 15 GBP for a dry steak and a few chips and a spoonful of supermarket coleslaw?? no towel in the room and the tv didn't work - staff had to reset, and when turned off - unable to turn back on.
Review 28:the view and the receptionist was lovely
Review 29:staff and owners were brilliant, even picking us up from a wedding at a local winery when no local cabs would, this has to be absolutely going above expectation. electric tripped the next morning which can't be helped but they were there bright and welcoming guests to a cold breakfast spread. can't recommend these guys enough and they deserve every commendation.
Review 30:The beautiful Red Hill hotel was the first hotel we stayed in during our honeymoon in England. We were amazed by the view from our balcony, the hotel was quiet, food was delicious, staff very friendly and helpful - to sum it up we can only advise to stay in this hotel!
Review 31:Nothing
Review 32:A real find the location is minutes away from the airport ideal for us as my partner had sn early flight to catch. Rooms are of a very high standard and we were very much left to do as we pleased. Staff were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble - will be back
Review 33:Excellent and friendly service Great firm bed and sizeable room with TV and free WiFi Staff willing to go the extra mile. No problem using the pool after we had checked out
Review 34:Cooked breakfast at extra cost a little disappointing but the continental breakfast was adequate. Could be my fault for no reading what's included otherwise great stay
Review 35:Fantastic room
Review 36:Breakfast was awful I just had toast very little variety on offer could not use the pool at all during the day as was pre booked for training
Review 37:Views were excellent and we had good views from room and a lovely bathroom
Review 38:Such a lovely hotel to stay at. From the first moment we got there we were greeted with such friendly staff. Amazing views from our room and the room itself was lovely, such a comfy bed. Would definatly go back there.
Review 39:Expensive evening meal out of a packet. Eat before you arrive. Small TV screen in bedroom
Review 40:Boutique style, Large bedroom Great location for Bristol airport Well run
Review 41:couldnt use the pool even though billed as only hotel near airport with a pool, turned out a kids club use it in the evening so we arrived looking forward to a relaxing dip to be confronted by a pool full of mothers and toddlers, put us off staying again will probably stay in bristol
Review 42:rooms and food lovely, staff very attentive
Review 43:We couldn't use the pool until 5pm. Jacuzzi unavailable due to the filter being cleaned. We had to ask for towels. The bed was very uncomfortable. A disappointing overnight stay, won't be visiting again.
Review 44:The views were beautiful.
Review 45:Sadly, the evening meal we ordered was a lot to be desired and very disappointing for the price.
Review 46:This hotel was close to the airport which was the purpose of our stay. The room was excellent with fantastic views from the balcony.
Review 47:Difficult to find access to hotel on fast uphill road. Heating went off in room during evening so was quite chilly. Will still return.
Review 48:Proximity to airport. Welcome on arrival. Room and facilities were excellent. Cleanliness. General ambience. Unable to rate situation as dark on arrival and departure but will definitely return.
Review 49:Main meal was the only disappointment. Peppercorn sauce on steak was inedible, and the chips were cooked in oil which was too cold, so were soggy.
Review 50:Loved our four poster bed and attention to detail. VIP package was delicious.
Review 51:Would have liked to have a yoghurt option to eat with the fresh fruit on offer at breakfast.
Review 52:Allowed us late check out due to us wanting to use the pool after breakfast and not meeting up with friends until lunchtime.
Review 53:Everything was great. Comfortable, friendly, pool was especially nice. We had the superior double room which was comfortable and well decorated. not really any noise from road and no plane noise. Although this may be popular with people using the airport, we actually used it as a base for a weekend away, visiting cheddar gorge and bristol as it's a short drive from both.
Review 54:We were in room 7 which resembled a waiting room with a bed. The website photos are very selective and only show the best bits. The furniture was badly chipped and the room looked very dated. The continental breakfast was very poor, the 'fresh' fruit looked like it had sat there for weeks and the croissants cold and soft. We also had dinner there, which at best was average but overpriced for what it was.We were very disappointed Will we be going back? No way!
Review 55:The friendly helpul staff.
Review 56:Another guest had a cooked breakfast, and it wasn't made clear to us that that was an option, but the buffet breakfast was really good anyway.
Review 57:We stayed for a professional course, but it was the same price as local B&Bs but with great facilities - really nice indoor pool (and jacuzzi) open well into the evenings, spacious room with comfy bed and good pillows that weren't too squashable. Breakfast was continental buffet but with good breads and bagels and unlimited coffee.
Review 58:A little far from the car park to Reception, but as we were elderly, the hotel kindly let us park at the front.
Review 59:Ambience and very friendly and welcoming staff
Review 60:Food was good but price was above the standard of the food.Having to pay extra for full english was a disappointment.
Review 61:Had the pool and jacuzzi to ourselves for nearly two hours. Room was idyllic.
Review 62:Perfect place to stay when heading off to Bristol airport. Good size very clean rooms. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Will deffinately use them again and hopefully have time to discover the area.
Review 63:It is located so close to the A38...triple glazing may be worth considering. The breakfast area is exceptionally small with a small lounge area too. It was disappointing that given the cost of the stay that a cooked breakfast is not made available as part of the price...it should be included!
Review 64:The size of the bedroom, décor, bathroom, pool and jacuzzi and the friendly staff team, stunning views. The staff were very helpful...nothing was too much trouble.
Review 65:Hard to find
Review 66:We had the pool to ourselves. The views were absolutely stunning as was our room. Staff were brilliant. Will definitely stay again. Although no cooked breakfast was on offer ( knew about this before we stayed) the breakfast choice was fantastic and really good quality.
Review 67:I didn't sleep brilliantly, but everyone is different. Nothing to fault. Beds were lovely, just a bit too firm for myself.
Review 68:Lovely staff, lovely stylish interiors, beautiful garden and views of the surrounding countryside. Great pool, but didn't have time to use it unfortunately. Lovely food.
Review 69:Distance from car park to reception. Incline with a lot of steps. Too many if you have a lot of heavy luggage.
Review 70:Staff extremely polite and helpful. Quiet. Good breakfast facilities. Near to airport. Open all hours.
Review 71:the quality of the food in the small restaurant did not match the good standard of the rest of the hotel
Review 72:the location, swimming pool and bedroom were all great - a good spot for a quiet stay before travelling at the airport
Review 73:Too expensive (I thought). 90 pounds plus 10 pounds for dog and only continental breakfast. Full breakfast was 7.95 each on the top of 109 pounds if you wanted full english.
Review 74:Comfy bed, nice owners
Review 75:It was a very hot night so had to have window open and the traffic on A38 was very noisy
Review 76:Staff were extremely friendly and nothing too much trouble Lovely clean and spacious room - very comfortable bed Excellent shower Great pool - big enough for a proper swim. Beautiful gardens
Review 77:Extra charge for cooked breakfast even though breakfast is described as included. Noisy room at the front of the hotel by the main A38 road which is busy sol night. No A/C
Review 78:Nice room. Lovely old house with period features be stiffly decorated and furnished
Review 79:We were a little perturbed by the additional fee for a cooked breakfast as presumed, this would be included as per standard bed and breakfast. Although the continental breakfast was good and provided lots of choice.
Review 80:The hotels location is ideal for those wishing to explore the surrounding areas; although the country lanes can be a little daunting with many blind bends. The scenery is beautiful and we enjoyed sitting outside looking over the countryside. The hotel also has a lovely swimming pool and Jacuzzi, which we enjoyed all to ourself one day. The staff are friendly and polite. Our room was on the road side of the house but we was not disturbed by traffic noise.
Review 81:Would have been even better if there had been cooked breakfast.
Review 82:Personally prefer duvet and it was sheet and blanket but great otherwise and looked pretty
Review 83:spacious clean and special
Review 84:Uncomfortable bed
Review 85:Close to airport Very friendly staff

Review 89:Lovely swimming pool was a bonus
Review 90:Small bed and noise during the night (lots of banging which made our own door move, too).
Review 91:Swimming pool and nice, sizeable bathroom.
Review 92:Staff very friendly and attentive

Review 101:Poor maintenance
Review 102:Quirky

Review 104:Some noise from the road passing the hotel closely.
Review 105:Nice and comfortable rooms. Cosy hotel. Nice pool.
Review 106:Rooms are total luxury.
Review 107:none
Review 108:location/friendly staff
Review 109:Really friendly manager. Took us to a pub for lunch and picked us up.
Review 110:South African owner was really helpful and friendly.
Review 111:Our request for an earlier check-in was granted without question which is worth everything Ash we we're attending a wedding.
Review 112:Hard pillows, pool open to non residents, only really use it after 7.30pm
Review 113:Huge room , lovely location , good facilities
Review 114:Geoff's very kind help
Review 115:boring food service looked bored out of date milk in the room

Review 118:Staff were super super. Service was great Food pretty good
Review 119:The location was great and near the airport. Has a wonderful pool that is larger than regular hotel pools.
Review 120:Generally the room smelt of damp. It rained one night and it sounded very loud within the room which kept me awake.
