Review 1：Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Helped us with everything. Small issues with hot water and Wi-Fi signal were solved very quickly. Beautiful garden with a large barbecue. The "superior suites and apartments were great. If you could choose - better be on the ground floor.

The location is very nice and quiet, the backyard is wonderful to spend evenings to stay out of sun, full of green grass and having a barbeque and a hamac. The rooms are clean with air conditioning (we didn't use it that much as the room stayed cold during the day). The owners are very nice and helpful. They bring us a baby cot for the child. Parking is available in the courtyard and the beach is 5 min walk.

Review 13：Our budget room was in a very bad condition. Very little bathroom (and a stragely huge kitchen), shower not separated, you just shower over the wc. Not very clean. The window didn't close properly. There is a sign informing that budget rooms are "dilapidated" but so cheap: sounds like a joke. Wifi didn't work in our room (we were able to use it in the common garden).

Review 17：Very bad road to the accommodation, far away from the beach, bad WiFisignal, very very bad toilette.Be very careful when you choose a type of accommodation, on all picture you can find only one, max. two picture of economy studio. You can get a wrong picture of your accommodation. That is very bad. I talk with owner but he explained that the price of accommodation is more important then the picture that I can see on booking. BE VERY CAREFUL about this.

Review 20：Do not book the economy studio unless you don't mind tiny spaces and outdated amenities. There is a huge difference between the economy studio and the other rooms. The bathroom is the smallest I've ever been to. It is 1m x 1.5m big including the shower. Everything is on the same tiles, the shower is not separated. The sink in the bathroom is about 20 cm deep so if you wont to wash you face or teeth you are definitely going to get wet on your legs and clothes. All in all, the economy studio is very outdated and small, but the same is stated when you book this studio.
Review 21：The exterior of Douvas house is very well maintained. The garden is beautiful, lots of space, green grass, outdoor furniture to relax. The rooms are clean. The location is OK, near to the beach and the main street but the road to the beach is unpaved, dusty and there are no street lights at night so we went by car to the main street and then for a walk. The owners are very nice, helpful and polite. WiFi is OK.
Review 22：It looked nothing like the photos, it was very old. The bathroom didn't have a separate shower, just a hose attached to the wall. There was a notice attached to the front door telling us that we payed for a cheap room and should have known that the room would be "dilapidated." The room was cheap, however the photos on the page should reflect the room available, not a nicer one in a different part of the building. Another issue was that the hotel was on a rural road and during the night there were a lot of mosquitoes. This made opening the windows in our room impossible as none of the windows had nets on them.

Review 30：Cleanliness and hygiene is very, very poor. The toilet was never, ever, ever, cleaned or disinfected or sanitized!!! We did cleaned it on our own. Cleaning and linen changing is done every 3 days, but its no good. There is no shower cabin, only shower over the toilet... (?!?!) like in the middle ages. No soap or sanitary bags, no good, soft towels, just old, rough and dried towels. I'm pregnant so I was at least expecting to have clean toilet and bathroom, but it seemed like I was expecting for a miracle. My biggest concern was not to become infected with something in those facilities. We stayed for 10 nights, there was no wi-fi for 5 days, and also no wi-fi in the room. There is no table to eat in the room, only on the balcony, so if its raining or if its cold, you have to eat in you bed! There is no reception point, so you have no one to consult or ask for anything. The staff does not speak English at all! Our stay was miserable, and we would not recommend it to anyone.

Review 34：In this kind of property the quality of the other guests matter a lot: they could be noisy or with infants and this could lead to plenty of noise. The access is not quite easy and there is some walking to the beach.

Review 39：Friendly staff, always open to help or give you an advise. Location is good, not in the first line of houses by the beach, but only a (really!) two minute walk from the beach. As we were traveling with our 15 months old daughter, we had no problem reaching the beach together with all beach accessories for kids :) The sandy beach is very nice, by the way... Toroni is a small place, but still there are restaurants and shops that suite the needs. The property has a nice garden that is very good if you travel with small kids. There is enough place for parking of your car, if you are traveling by car, so no reservation is needed.
Review 40：Great place for summer with a small kind. Close to the beautiful beach, restaurants and grocery stores. The owners are very nice and friendly. I recommend the place for 100 %. We ware with a 4 year old kind, and we had awesome vacation.
Review 41：No real blankets, only thin cotton "couch" blankets without a sheet, you have to simply put a blank sheet between you and the cotton blanket for hygiene. There was hair from previous guests on the cotton blankets. Very spare cooking material (i didn't have a fork but two spoons)

Review 48：1. The room did not AT ALL correspond to the photos on Booking.com 2. The mattress was on a scale of 1 to 10, 0. It was simply worn out and the springs did not sit comfortably against the body. 3. One small single cooking plate. 4. The bathroom was miserable. 5. The door to the bathroom had the lower and upper prat missing, so it was more of a public lavatory style setup. 6. No warm water in the kitchen, single tap only. 7. Birds nest over the only spot on the small balcony where the drying of clothes could be done. Bird droppings as a result. 8. Overall condition of the studio was low indeed. I would suggest that real photos are uploaded in relation to these studios so that clients might see them before booking. So big minus to booking.com for this!!! Last time I use this site.

Review 50：First of all, I would like to pay my respect to the phtographer, he did an outstanding job! He took pictures from all the right angles, and left out everything important for a tourist deciding where to spend his vacation! Location: Yes, there is about 250m from the beach, but through unused property of someone else, probably, and on dusty trail. Furthermore, when you are out on the evening strole, you are returning to the appartment through pitch black dusty trail, with only the moon as your light! Appartment: Although clean itself, bed sheets are old and full of stains that (apparently) cannot be washed. Should be renewed/replaced. Almost no furniture in it! Walls are so rough, when you (or a child) touches or leans against them during sleep, abbrasions are innevitable! "A fully equiped kitchen" is everything but! Although booked for 5 persons, we found 4 sets of everything (including bed sheets). Later provided 5th set on our request. Cooking stove with one cooking place, w/o an oven, is hardly enough for a family. Big problems there for everyone planning to cook a meal there. Wi-Fi: 2 routers present, but no signal inside the room. Only on the balcony. Balcony: Table and 4 chairs present, but not enough space for 4 people to sit down. All in all, we didn't really expect "de luxe" or "superior", but were really disappointed with minimalistic approach of decorating and furnishing.
Review 51：Owner and staff are more than friendly and responsive to requests. Appartment is fairly clean, and the back yard is well taken care of.

Review 79：For those who are staying in the "house for the slaves" ( the small building at the back of the yard, second floor) are the feeling is poverty and be a victim of eternal "Byzantine tricks". Douvas house is "bright" on the Internet, but in practice - godforsaken and for controlling health authority area.За тези, които са настанени в дома за прислугата (по-малката сграда в дъното на двора- втори етаж) обаче усещането е за мизерия и че си жертва на извечните византийски трикове. За да не стават и други жертва на лъскавата примамка, зад която има мизерна същност, е това подробно описание- за да не приемат настаняване на това окаяно място. Ремонтът на тази по- стара сграда е бил отдавна, некачествен и недовършен. Липсва обезопасителен парапет на стълбите (които са с неравна височина!), а в стълбището се "излива" аспираторът от апартамента на първия етаж и „ароматизира” 2 студиа от втория етаж. Кухнята е малка, без шкафове; хладилникът е без врата на фризера, поради което работи на максимум и вдига шум през нощта. Котлонът и мивката бяха страшно ръждясали, а от зеленясалите кранове капеше вода. Банята е с нови плочки, но нямаше нищо на което да сипоставиш тоалетните принадлежности- под огледалото с повредено покритие има толкова наклонена полица, че на нея не може да се остави нищо. Чаршафите са сиво- жълти (вероятно от водата), със следи от син грим, гардеробът- е с половината от дръжките, а отстрани е с пукната страница (3 см). В кухненския кът светеше една нискомощна гола крушка, висяща на кабел, а нощната лампа над леглото липсваше. Никъде в цялото студио няма стандартен контакт за уреди- единственият свободен контакт беше вторият от един висящ зад кухненския шкаф разклонител- няма как и да се готви на тази ограничена мокра площ и да се включи лаптоп/ зарядно за телефон. Вратите са стари и шумни. От всички възможни ъгли висят паяжини, липсват противокомарни мрежи, а в тази блатиста местност- комари много.
Review 80：Douvas house is really nice and peaceful place, paradise for family holidays, especially for families with young children manicured lawns, lots of toys, two very well-behaved dogs (kept him behind the fence) and one sweet playful kitten. But for those with lucky! Review 82：Good home-like atmosphere, quiet, and other guests are hardly noticable, grilling, home-made wine. A wonderful big green zone. The host speaks English.
Review 83：Water is not only non-drinkable, but since it is salty and yellowish in color, you can't use it for cooking or washing your body or teeth. After taking a shower, your skin stinks and you actually feel dirtier. There is no real sink or faucet in the bathroom, but a faucet for garden use (suitable for attaching a watering hose to it), so that it sprinkles water in all directions, mostly over you. The only usable faucet is in the kitchen, but it runs only cold water. The street to the place is a dirt road, so the color of your car is unrecognizable in a couple of days. The owner leaves his otherwise lovely dogs outside and they bark all night long. The whole place is a big disappointment.

Review 86：We were 4 Bulgarians who stayed at Douvas house in two double rooms. I would like to mention that I was pleasantly surprised by the hospitality of the Greek owners. They were very kind and did their best to make us feel as comfortable as possible. The rooms are quite good with air-conditioning, TV, small separate kitchen with a fridge sink, separate bath/WC and large balcony. The kitchen is fully equipped: forks, spoons, knives, dishes etc. The parking is spacious enough. The owner George speaks English and of course Greek. He and his wife Rena were very helpful with us but it may have been because there was in our group a gay who spoke Greek. Anyway we stayed at Easter and the host family proposed to us to prepare everything for the fest. We agreed and paid like 15 Euros per person for the awesome lunch we had. It was such a bargain. So I think that they just accepted us like a part of their family and wanted us to feel comfortable sharing their customs. It wasn’t just a lunch to be sold. The thing that really impressed me, that a guy from our group needed a medicine from a pharmacy (there is no pharmacy in Toroni), so he asked them If they have a friend or a neighbour coming to buy the medicine and to bring it. They said that on the particular day it won’t happen (as it wasn’t an emergency) and on the next day we were at the beach and our hosts came by a car to find us and to ask what is the name of the needed medicine. Then they brought the medicine to us within 2-3 hours. The house is nice one with big yard and green grass. Around it could see lush vegetation. The place is very quiet and picturesque. The beach is not more than 3-5 minutes by foot and it has been awarded with a blue flag (2012). At about 5 minutes by car (approximately 1-2 km away from Toroni) is a cosy village called Porto Koufo – where I would like to recommend the Tavern – Tzitzikas. We dined there every evening and it was the only tavern around which was full of clients.
Review 87：I honestly couldn't recommend anything apart from the sunny balcony andthe beautiful grounds. Oh yes, and there was plentiful free parking.

I hate to be critical but this is constructive; omg this isthe worst hotel that either of us have ever stayed in!The owner was nice enough but didn’t hang about when she showed us to the apartment and we were clearly the only guests so that should have set alarm bells ringing! The whole thing was small, dirty and grimy. The bedroom was OK-ish (although there were two single top sheets for one double bed) and opened out onto a nice balcony; that and the pretty grounds were the only pluses. The kitchen was like something out of the arc and the bathroom was hell. It wasn’t big enough to swing a new-born kitten in let alone a cat; that really is no joke, it was roughly 120 cm square and in that space there was a toilet that you could barely get to, a shower head with no hook or enclosure and the smallest basin I have ever seen. Both the water there and in the kitchen was salty and totally undrinkable. I braved the shower the next morning and as soon as the water started running into the drain there was the most horrendous stench which made me gag. The wi-fi wasn't working and all but one of the sockets were the old European type so we had trouble charging our gadgets. As if that wasn't enough we had one of the most unsettled nights in the world mainly spent swatting endless mosquitos full to bursting with our blood. We decided that we couldn’t bear to stay another second and checked out after one night instead of two. Luckily the owner wasn’t in when we left so we phoned her and left the money under the pillow. She didn’t ask why we were going prematurely, she probably didn’t want to hear the answer! Toroni is a small fishing village and out of season it's like the Marie Celeste so transport is essential. The "hotel" was down a dirt track and very hard to find, we had to ask a couple of local fishermen.
Review 89：The major problem with this villa is the salty water in the bathroom and the kitchen, so if you're travelling with small kid (under 1 year old) that could be big problem for you, too. There were some misunderstanding between the moter of the owner and us but everything came down OK. We left the villa 3 days before our journey ends because of the small lizards coming out of the seeling (wooden seeling with a lot of small holes where this creatures came from) and beeing everywhere on the wallsm so it was not acceptable to stay there any further with small kid. The mother of the owner is not so OK, so do not get in contact with her.
