Review 2:Great location for walking around St Peter Port. The staff were very welcoming and the eggs Benedict at breakfast were delicious!

Review 3:Front desk staff not friendly. We were put in a room at smelled likesmoke (strongly) and asked to change. Everything was booked except twinbeds which we took because it didn't small bad.

Review 4:Breakfast and the pub

Review 5:A little loud outside at night but cannot be helped due to location.

Review 6:The suite was very spacious, comfortable and well kept. The breakfast selection was great and the food was wonderful as was the service and the daily greeting from staff. Evening meals were great.

Review 7:Reception staff didn't have much idea about local parking; couldn't get a table in the restaurant in the evening; bar very limited

Review 8:Central location; excellent breakfasts

Review 9:Ancient hairdryer. Bed a bit soft. Very noisy at night.

Review 11:No bad points whatsoever.

Review 12:The staff were all very friendly & welcoming. Very spacious & comfortable room with tea/coffee making facilities. Excellent choices for breakfast. Great menu for meals in the Library Bar/Lounge. Excellent location.

Review 13:Nothing we didn't like about it If anything - we didn't like having to leave

Review 14:The hotel was beautiful - but the staff make it extra special They couldn't possibly do more to accommodate any request Also organised a complimentary bus tour of the island Highly recommend this hotel - no need to look elsewhere.

Review 15:Excellent value evening meals with a good sensibly priced wine list. Ambience in restaurant. Efficient friendly staff at all levels. Quiet pedestrianised area

Review 16:Staff were superb. Helpful and friendly. The food was excellent. The position of the hotel is very central with lots of cafes and restaurants close by.

Review 17:A lot of noise from the street outside on Saturday night. I would ask for a room at the back if staying again. Like a many hotels here it is expensive compared to similar hotels in the UK and Europe.

Review 18:Delightful hotel in the centre of town. Restaurant is excellent, and we very much enjoyed dinner and breakfast there.

Review 19:Food, although usually excellent, was a little disappointing on a couple of occasions, with overcooked vegetables.

Review 20:Staff were exceptionally obliging. No request was too much.

Review 21:Hotel was excellent, great location, great breakfast and friendly helpful staff. But I didnt receive my Welcome Pack until the last day of my stay. This pack included maps, and other suggestions of what to do and see on Guernsey. Luckily I had researched what to see before I arrived.

Review 22:Central Location. Excellent breakfast. Friendly helpful staff.

Review 23:Reception explained in full Islands parking rules which in short are free as long as you use a disc, I was charged for a disc (£4.50) no big deal until you find hire cars provide one free, I guess she didn't know

Review 24:Excellent restaurant and staff, well appointed rooms with good size en suit

Review 25:My bed in our twin room had a real dip in the middle.

Review 26:This is a very nice hotel in the heart of St. Peter's Port. The staff are very kind and courteous. The food is excellent.

Review 27:Room was very hot .. we did have a fan but was too noisy to keep on all night.sunday was quiet

Review 28:Close to the harbour and ferries. In the centre for the shops and restaurants and handy to catch buses which took us all over the island.Breakfast was excellent and staff very helpful and polite

Review 29:Unfortunately, on a weekend it was very noisy the early hours of the morning due to the night clubs. This was the only thing that was not good about our trip. I was tired all day Saturday!

Review 30:The hotel was lovely and the staff couldn't do enough for you. Location couldn't be more central.

Review 31:Due to inefficient secondary glazing in our bedroom at the front of the hotel, the noise at night from the street was very loud. Nowhere to sit outside in the evenings.

Review 32:Very attentive staff. Good location. Excellent breakfast.

Review 33:Nothing to not like

Review 34:Ideally placed close to shops and amenities. Excellent hotel and facilities. Stayed in room 317 which was spacious and quiet. Helpful staff and good meal choices

Review 35:We enjoyed being in the centre of St Peter Port. The hotel offers a free bus trip around the island and transport to the two sister hotels which have swimming pools. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely stay, thank you.

Review 36:None!

Review 37:The staff go out of their way to ensure guests needs are fully met. Dining options are plentiful and offer excellent value. Location is central with easy access to transport links.

Review 38:Thursday and Friday nights were disturbed by noisy revellers outside the hotel

Review 39:Friendly staff and high quality restaurant food which was reasonably priced

Review 40:No parking, split floor levels in the Hotel, although they had lifts.

Review 41:The location, Bed, friendliness of staff and the Restaurant met all our expectations.

Review 42:Had to leave.

Review 43:Middle of town, food was terrific, and service - well! what can I say, prompt, courteous and always with a smile, not quite as big as the one I had. I shall be back!!!!!!!!!

Review 44:not applicable as we had no complaints

Review 45:Well maintained, excellent cleanliness. Excellent food with good breakfasts. Friendly and efficient staff. Good position in town, close to restaurants etc.

Review 46:Nothing that I didn't like.

Review 47:Staff very friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Many people seem to return to hotel as the staff greeted many by name.

Review 48:Parking is at North Beach car park about 5 min away, in itself this is not a problem, but It is a little confusing as you need a blue parking disk. Worth looking up parking before you go and driving on Guernsey as there are a few differences.

Review 49:Situated in the Centre of St. Peter Port the Moores is a very friendly traditional hotel with a nice atmosphere. We had very good food in both the Library bar and the Conservatory restaurant. The table d'hote in the restaurant was very good value at £22 per person. There was also an a la carte menu available. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room price also included an excellent breakfast in the Conservatory. We would certainly stay again if we visit Guernsey in the future.

Review 50:The Moores has always been a very comfortable and welcoming hotel with an excellent location, right in the centre of town. The staff are always very friendly and attentive, and David who looks after the night front of house is always extremely helpful and should be congratulated on his 36 years of exeptional service. Breakfast is superb.

Review 51:Noise from people in the street at the front meant had to close window. Then opened other window but disturbed by noise from air conditioning units at back.

Review 52:Beautiful and comfortable room with all facilities and pleasant view.

Review 53:For an older person with arthritis getting into the shower (bath tub) was quite difficult without grab rails. Also the handle to turn shower on difficult for those with stiff hands. However, overall the bathroom was spotlessly clean.

Review 54:Location was excellent as we needed to be in Le Pollet area during our stay. Maitre d' at both breakfast and dinner outstanding in terms of friendliness and efficiency.

Review 55:Central location with polite and attentive staff. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Quiet and comfortable room. The bed gave us both an excellent nights sleep.

Review 56:The Full English breakfast left a little to be desired (the bacon and sausage seemed as though they had been microwaved). Parking was free, but time limited parking at the nearby Port (no space for parking at hotel), requiring moving the car at 8am each morning.

Review 57:Excellent location right in the heart of the shopping and restaurant precinct - no need for taxis. Jacuzzi was better than expected and well maintained. Continental breakfast was plentiful, including hot cross buns for Easter. Friendly and helpful staff, including the lovely Mr. Alan. Bathroom in room was new (towels were large, fluffy and plentiful) and room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Reading room was redecorated and a lovely space to relax with friends. Wifi was very good and easy to access.

Review 58:We had a room with a view of a wall & even though on the second floor, had a walkway outside our room. It was only accessed by those in the spa though. The noise on the street outside was very rowdy so probably best at the back. In the hotel bar, we were replused by the barman Paul's homophopic & sexist conversations with his friend & avoided the bar for the entire holiday as a result.

Review 59:We liked the location, 2 mins from the Port and lots of good shops nearby. The staff were very helpful & welcoming. Breakfast was included and was very fresh & good quality.

Review 60:Nothing. Loved it.

Review 61:Location, location, location. Such a beautiful location, set on a quiet shopping street, access to great places to eat and shop, though we ate in and it was magnificent.

Review 62:Booked a double room for myself and my partner. On arrival discovered the cost only covered one of us - room occupancy needs to be clearer on booking.com

Review 63:Central location large rooms huge bed. Excellent breakfasts and best roast in Guernsey

Review 64:Come here every year and find its like coming home. Great location and good food served in the library bar. Everything myself and comrades need for our annual weekend in Guernsey!

Review 65:Nothing I didn't like

Review 66:The staff really make the difference. I have been to lots of hotels, some with stunning views & better facilities but always end up returning to Moores as it is so cosy and nothing Is too much trouble & I love the professional & sincere attitude of the staff - a real home from home in a lovely place.

Review 67:Room very basic and cramped not good value for money but was only there for one night. Food average. Had expected better!

Review 68:Location good. For a one night business stay it works.

Review 69:Breakfast good but annoying to have to make your own toast with cooked breakfast. Much more modest hotels bring toast to the table!

Review 70:Quiet comfortable room minutes from harbour and high street. Restaurant dinner service impeccable.

Review 71:Having to come home!

Review 72:This is an unfussy and friendly hotel ideally located in the centre of town. Nothing is too much for the staff and the amenities are all you could wish for.

Review 73:Rooms at the front of the hotel may suffer from noise from the busy street below, requiring the windows to be closed even if warm!

Review 74:Great location in St Peter Port, ideal for shopsetc and the ferry terminal. Good food and service in the Conservatory restaurant, with two oher restaurants to shose from.

Review 75:Nothing

Review 76:Two years we have stayed at the Moores and it's been a truly fab experience!! Staff are friendly and helpful rooms are beautiful and location perfect!!

Review 77:Hot rooms, no air conditioning. Non existent view from room. Small room and a bit dated.

Review 78:Excellent food. Good location. Some very good staff. Very convenient location .

Review 79:We stayed on Saturday night (30th august 2014), and asked to change rooms as originally we we put in the very end room on floor 2 but this smelt of smoke probably due to the balcony outside being used as a smoking area. We were then put into Room 209, the bed being extremely soft and small and the room was also very hot which did not make for a great nights sleep, and required the window to be open all night. We were woken on the Sunday morning by the tree cutting which started around 9.00am (I accept that this is a one off and not a regular occurence, but as a courtesy to staying guests, the hotel should have notified guests about this disturbance). As the hotel has recently been refurbished, it is a shame that not all ares were subject to this refurbishment ie bathroom and bedroom doors and brought the standard of the room down, which in all other aspects was fine and nicely decorated. For £145 per night I wouldn't say this was great value for money for a 3 star hotel. One can get a good 4* hotel in London for this price.

Review 80:the location was convenient for our trip, and the staff were friendly. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. This was our first stay at this hotel and for the reasons given in what didn't you like, it was a shame that our first impression was a bit mixed

Review 81:Breakfast wasn`t as good as previous hotels that I have stayed in Guernsey. No parking was available and received a parking ticket.

Review 82:Excellent location.

Review 83:My friend thought the quality of the toilet paper needed upgrading

Review 84:EVERY THING STAFF COULD NOT DO ENOUGH FOR YOU BREAKFAST WAS A PLEASURE TO GET UP FOR

Review 85:Only one criticism: the breakfast coffee was terrible: probably instant. Such a shame because the rest of the catering was excellent.

Review 86:I loved the size of the room and especially the size of the bed! The place was also spotless and its location bang in the middle of town was excellent. You can walk everywhere and easily get to the harbour and its boat trips. The breakfast catering was superb: Haddock, Kippers, Bacon and Egg, Buffet etc. very efficiently served.

Review 87:We thought a central location would be good but the noise from the street kept us awake until the early hours. It was very, very disruptive. The room was absolutely boiling so we were very uncomfortable all night. Having the windows open to get some air just made the noise outside unbearable. The breakfast staff weren't particularly friendly either.

Review 88:The front of out staff were very nice and bed was massive and very comfortable.

Review 89:This was our second visit and, once again, we were given a room overlooking the rooftop cafe and street. The noise from the street (not the hotel) is a nightmare, loud shouting voices and on a couple of nights the loud music from a nearby disco, until 3 am! (Even with the windows closed). Would be nice to get a quieter room in another part of the hotel for our possible visit next July!

Review 90:A very friendly hotel, receptionists very helpful. We only ate breakfast at the hotel, as was our booking, and found the staff in this area very helpful and friendly too. Bedroom very pleasant and cleaning staff certainly do a good job. The renovated Mural was unveiled and it is extremely lifelike. Brilliant.

Review 91:Nothing.

Review 92:Brilliant hotel, great location and the staff were great and was really looked after over christmas.

Review 93:Wifi is poor.

Review 94:Good location. Clean, if basic, room.

Review 95:It was noisy due to the revellers outside. Double glazing would be a help.

Review 105:Nothing to dislike

Review 106:Comfort of hotel; superb location and excellent breakfasts and dinners

Review 107:A very enjoyable stay made more so by very helpful staff, good food and good weather.

Review 108:Greasy smell in Library bar so could not stay in there for long as it clings to your clothes.

Review 109:Relaxed atmosphere and welcoming staff

Review 110:location, cleanliness, and lovely staff

Review 111:Expensive

Review 112:Location And room facilities

Review 113:King size bed was no longer than a double bed.
