Reviews for Hotel du Clocher
Review 1:Room extremely small with very little natural light. Extremely poor value for money. We felt we had been given the worst room in the hotel
Review 2:City centre location
Review 3:Fungus growing in the fridge. Breakfast area was not clean and the food not fresh. Jam jars were dirty. We were very surprised. It's like they didn't care.
Review 4:Neat, historic building. Very well located. The only room available was the "Erotic" room. Mirror on the ceiling and the walls. Quite funny and fun.
Review 5:The room was very small very dark. The shower spewed up identifiableblack rubbish each time it was used and blocked on 3rd day. Bits ofplastic fell of other fittings. A pair of old shoes had been left in thewardrobe The extremely unapproachable, unhelpful, irritable, argumentative man in charge of/running the hotel. He was really theonly person one had contact with. Not a good person to be dealing withthe public
Review 6:Very central and very quiet locality, down a small side street oppositethe cathedral The breakfasts were excellent. However breakfast was notincluded in price of the room making the hotel poor value -seecriticism of room
Review 7:wi -fi didn't work well Car got towed since there was no desinated area to park, dint know there would be a market and couldnt park it cost E96 to get car out room could have used paint but it was clean

Review 15:a few signs of wear and tear in our room difficult to park
Review 16:lots of choice for breakfast room was a reasonable size
Review 17:Proximity to cathedral and historical centre. The lovely old staircase. The staff were very courteous and helpful.
Review 18:beautiful town Good provision for those with disability. Very helpful staff. Excellent wet rom facilities. Great advice on where to eat dinner
Review 19:We parked in square across the street/alley and our car was towed in the middle of the night so they could set up the farmers market for the next day.
Review 20:Quaint hotel in a great area. Old but well kept.
Review 21:No tea / coffee making facilities in the room. Parking can be tricky.
Review 22:Excellent location, fantastic breakfast, comfy bed, very clean, the Patron was very helpful.
Review 23:Room a bit small
Review 24:The location in the heart of Rodez at the foot of the wonderful cathedrale, in a house that is few hundred years old. Very quiet. Nice breakfast buffet for a reasonable price.
Review 25:The breakfast table was dirty obviously not cleaned for a while. The jams sticky, the plates cracked. The food looked tired and not fresh except for the bread. The coffee was bitter and strong. The fruit had seen better days!
Review 26:Location, location, location. The room was adequate, the shower good. It was warm and cosy. There was a lift. The manager was friendly, spoke some english and was helpful in calling the taxi.
Review 27:Don't expect even a hot drink at anytime except breakfast, the manager/owner clearly can make himself a cuppa, (as he spent three days with his feet up watching sport on tv) but nothing available in rooms or at reception. No welcome pack with info on local area, no advice from the host on places to eat, they claim free parking local? Not that we could find...and claim English speaking? Not a word that we heard. Surrounding areas to Rodez (Belcastle and Conques particularly) are beautiful, but Rodez appeared closed for most of our stay (only one restaurant open on a Sunday night when we stayed - late May)
Review 28:Central to Rodez Cathedral and the market, good size room, decent décor and character in communal spaces (although fairly bland in room)
Review 29:On Friday night don't park in the public car parks close to the hotel as you need to move the car before midnight for the Saturday market. Small room but fine for one night.
Review 30:Great location. Fabulous shower. Close to market.
Review 31:Staff only speak french,Extremely noisy in the early hours of everySaturday, before every market setup from 4:30-5:00am until 8am. Our roomwas very small,Too small. No fridge in Room. Very disappointing viewwhich was Imprisoned and confined in ally way (lane). Ally way soundswould reflect and echo into rooms on that side of the building.Had topay an additional French Government "local TAX" on top of theroom price.Hotel didn`t have any international stations if you enjoy alittle tv. No tea coffee in room. Hada peem in sex room, not worth theextra money at all.
Review 32:Hotel was in very good location, close to everything. Rooms weremodern, clean and beds very comfortable,Good powerfull shower.it costaround eur20 by taxi from airport oneway to hotel ,total room price for4 nights was 152 + 5euro french tax.We stayed in room 9,2nd floor.Lovelyshutters and big window(facing ally way)No view. Small tv with. Big-Market is on your door step on Saturdays.Hotel is Good value formoney.Sfaff member (He was plesent) No English tho but its france...IWould only recommend this hotel if you got a cheap price and asked forrooms on high floor.
Review 33:Difficult to communicate with staff, as noone spoke english, and wecould not understand french.
Review 34:Excellent location, nice decor in the reception area and clean room.Plus free parking for guests.
Review 35:We didn't realise that the reception is not open in the middle of the day. Therefore we arrived at midday but we weren't able to get in until six. This meant we wasted half a day.
Review 36:This was a perfect Easter escape for us. The room was very good value for money and provided us with the comfort needed for a few nights of relaxation. The location is also excellent.
Review 37:However the rooms looked a bit like they hadn't been looked after well,we had a small hole in one wall, the window got caught on the curtainrunner when you tried to open it fully, holes in the carpet, only 3pillows for 2 people, bathroom not fully cleaned so lots of hairs anddirty were on one section of the floor. However in saying this becauseof the value of the room we probably would stay again for practical reasons-it was well situated, not really a romantic get away but still okay.
Review 38:The hotel is in a beautiful location and is good value for money. Therooms are basic but more than comfortable. The room we had had abeautiful old window with shutters that opened on to a lovely old streetso it was quiet.
Review 39:rooms a bit bland, seagrass carpet a bit hard on the feet.
Review 40:Central location, great French breakfasts, reasonable bathroom, the place was individual and informal - not corporate anodyne, lastly friendly and helpful proprietor.
Review 41:Room could have been cleaner, bathroom needs a good going over.
Review 42:Room could have been cleaner, especially the bathroom! Rather a lot ofnoise can be heard through the walls too. Rodez has better hotels tochoose from around the same price.
Review 43:I had to wait outside in the rain for over half an hour as there was no one on reception duty even though there was supposed to be. There was however a note on the door that stated 'back in a few minutes,' but this was simply not true! In the end, after a little more than half an hour I went to find a bar to wait in.
Review 44:The charm of a hotel being built into a traditional old building.

Review 55:The room was tidy and clean
Review 56:Bathroom could have been a little bit cleaner. No big deal, though :-)
Review 57:Friendly reception, nice decor, good TV channels, very well located.
Review 58:Very quiet
Review 59:There was nothing to dislike about the hotel of staff.
Review 60:Very relaxing interesting hotel. Good place to chill out.
