Review 12：The ferry from obertraun to hallstat did not operate at this time so have to take bus or drive there. The hotel doesn't have the lift so I have to hold my heavy luggage go up by stair.

Review 18：The ferry from obertraun to hallstat did not operate at this time so have to take bus or drive there. Theoretically you can walk, but it's a long freezing walk. You might not find anything for lunch & dinner within obertraun at this time. Staff not too keen to help us figure out the public transport and ask us to refer to the timetable instead. Could just tell us what is the earliest and latest bus for tomorrow..... that will be good enough. Views to the lake not as good as expected because blocked by a lakeside cafe. Garden is relatively unkept.

Review 19：Rooms are superbly clean and comfy. Comes with a very big heater, an electric kettle, tv and hairdryer. Beds are one of the nicest I've ever slept in. Rooms seem to be recently renovated. Bathrooms are tiny but clean and functional. Staff offers to help carry the heavy luggage to 2nd floor. Decent breakfast. Inviting swimming pool, must be a great place to come during summer. Small library with sofa at the 1st floor. vending machine available at the ground floor. there is a small balcony on the 1st floor with 1 table and 2 chairs if you want to chill out or enjoy the lakeside view.

Review 29：The hotel can be a bit of a walk from the train station. However if you take the small path right next to the train tracks, it will cut the distance and time to the hotel significantly.

The bus stop and ferry dock to Hallstatt are really close, and the hotel is right next to the beautiful lake. The room was clean and shower strong, though it was wee bit on the small side. Overall a quiet, well equipped hotel that still allows you to enjoy the beauty of Hallstatt.

Review 31：Need to take bus or taxi(EUR14 one way) whenever you wanna go to Hallstatt town center. There is a lack of choices of restaurants if you wanna go for dining nearby, either walking too far from the hotel or taking a bus/taxi to another side of the lake e.g. Hallstatt.

Review 32：It is more relaxing and less touristy on this side compared to Hallstatt town center if you prefer to stay away from the crowd. Check in staff is friendly and efficient as well as willing to answer any esquires you may have.

Review 48：We locked inside of the room by ourselves because the door lock is broken. However, I wrote down the problem thru booking.com APP, and Ms. Kate solute this problem immediately. Unfortunately, the next day morning, this door was the same problem, and we can't contact the counter. Finally, our partner escaped from the balcony and crossed the mini bridge as well as came to our room to open the door. At the same time, the next door couples also faced the same problem, the guy escaped and came to our balcony to cross the mini bridge.

Review 56：Nowhere to place my suitcase other than on the floor. No work desk, but saw them in other rooms. There are very limited facilities in Obertraun, with few eating options or things to do. It is really just a convenient alternative to Hallstatt.

Review 57：Warm and comfortable place to stay, although my particular room had awkward layout with toilet not close to bathroom. Breakfast very good but can be crowded at peak times. Easy walk to railway station (8 mins), Postbus (3 mins) and Hallstatt ferry (2 mins). Two restaurants adjacent but not always open.

Review 58：There is a ferry dock just feet away but no ferry ever shows up. This location requires either a taxi, bus or a very long walk of 2-3 miles to get to Halstatt. The walk is NOT even on the lake. You either follow railroad tracks to the Hallstatt ferry dock or walk through a very loud rock slide tunnel around the south side of the lake.

Review 59：Room is incredibly small. And the bed is extremely small too, it is rather inconvenient to sleep on for two people, but the bed itself is comfortable. There is rather good place to eat just nearby, however be ready to sit with strangers at one table, food is good, service is awful. Nobody cares about you. Returning to the hotel – breakfast is awful, but you just have to buy it as there is no place nearby to have good one. The only hot plate is omelette, made from powder. It is impossible to eat it.

About a 15 min cycle (free bike rental at hotel) and you are in Hallstatt, and a 5 min bus journey to the ice caves. A nice and quieter and cheaper alternative to staying IN Hallstatt.

Review 97：Bed was rock hard and very creaky, every time one of us moved slightly the whole bed creaked n woke us up.the room was small and stuffy with no fan to cool us, the quilt provided was so heavy, it must have been a winter weight tog. I had to use that to sleep on top of to add a little softness to the mattress. Also I don think the room I got was the correct room as I thought I had a room with a balcony, but the room I was given didn't. When I went back down to enquire the receptionist had gone, so next morning was too late.

Review 98：Beautiful setting right in the heart of the mountains of Hallstatt, opposite side of the lake to the town,but that was a good thing as town very busy with tourists. Great activities for a family holiday just outside the hotel, so kids can be kept happy while mam n dad relax a little. Friendly staff in hotel, very helpful.

I just asked the staff and she help me to changing the room at second floor with a lake view immediately. U can see the lake view, but u can still see the short building in front of the lake.

Bring swimsuits during the summer if you want as you would have a chance to enjoy swimming in the lake. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Review 122：The hotel is located very near the lake in Obertruan. - a quiet town 5 km. from Hallstatt. I was glad to stay there because Hallstatt was very crowded with tourists. I did not have the lake view room but mountain view are very nice too and it just took a few steps to lakeside and a large green lawn . The view by the lake was stunning, pretty and peaceful especially in the morning.. It is highly recommended.

Review 131：前台两个妹子简直太好啦（而且很漂亮哟）。开始我看错了门牌号一直没找到旅馆，看到这家就进去问了，两个妹子特别好，还上google map，booking各种帮我找。后来他家来了客人checkin，她们还让客人先等等，要先帮我找到旅馆。然后我连了她家wifi发现自己booking上预订的就是这家。。。。。捂脸地理位置比较好，旁边就是湖，还有湖畔公园cafe和小码头。可以在那里租船和自行车。从码头可以直接坐船去hallstatt。要是有时间在附近走走，你会发现这个小镇也很美，树林河流小房子。

Review 133：If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place. It's located in an incredibly beautiful and serene area away from the hubbub of Hallstatt. At the same time, the train station is less than a 10-minute walk for the average person, so you can hop on for the 3-minute ride to the ferry to Hallstatt. If you're sufficiently mobile, the walk to the ferry is doable. The rooms were comfortable and the staff friendly. It's far less expensive than staying right in Hallstatt.
