Reviews for Ferme de Bourran Hotel

Review 1:Being asked to pay €3 extra for scrambled eggs or €2 extra for a boiled egg at breakfast

Review 2:It was a lovely large room with a view with a lovely bathroom and aircon

Review 3:Very quiet, big room close to the biblioteque pub where the food is good and reasonable price.the hotel could have been anywhere in the world it just lacked a little French character

Review 4:We arrived before 15:00 and had to wait for the reception to open. Our own fault, but it would have been nice to get settled in earlier and spend more time in the city, as we did elsewhere.

Review 5:The hotel was delightful, very quiet and set in a beautiful location. The breakfast was the best we had on the whole holiday. The staff could not have been more helpful.

Review 6:Excellent location, beautiful view out bedroom window. spacious bedroom and lovely modern bathroom . Fantastic breakfast and very courteous staff. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Review 7:Not enough activity around area No english-speaking TV channel available

Review 8:Very friendly and helpful staff Modern comfortable room Quiet location Seems to be aimed at the businessman - very few feminine touches.

Review 9:Breakfast was very overpriced at €13. Staff were patchy - very good when we arrived with helpful recommendation for excellent local restaurant but after that there seemed to be only one staff member who was both the receptionist and waiter - neither done particularly well.

Review 10:Bathroom was excellent and room was comfortable. Lift was convenient. Lovely view from our room. Quiet location.

Review 11:qualité de la chambre situation environment

Review 12:No overnight staff.

Review 13:Luxury accomodation, breakfast to order. Hotel has lift.

Review 14:A welcoming host with excellent advice for restaurants and for exploring this beautiful region.

Review 15:very difficult to find out of the main action but fortunately a bistro nearby

Review 16:the bath and bed

Review 17:Great place to stay. Breakfast was just a joy as everything was local, fresh and presented very well. The facility is finished to a very high standard and we were made very welcome by all of the staff. What really impressed me was the attention to detail both prior to our visit in responding to questions via the web and throughout our stay.

Review 18:This hotel is wonderful! We were sorry to leave. We had a top floor room with a skylight. There was an electronic device to bring the blind down over this so you did not get woken by sunlight early in the morning. The room was so spacious with shelves that would hold four large suitcases. There was a separate toilet, and a lovely bathroom complete with towelling robes. The entrance to the room had a hallway with a separate door with plenty of hanging and shelf space for clothes, and also a safe. Private parking and a lovely garden. Staff were extremely helpful and nice. There is no restaurant but they can organise meals for you. We ate in a nearby restaurant that was one of the recommendations by the staff. The hotel is small but had a lift. Very modern decor. Would definitely stay there again!

Review 19:wifi was not top.

Review 20:This is "the place" for all tourists coming from far and on their way to the south. This hotel was really a nice discovery. Big rooms, very clean en fine food.

Review 21:The booking site did not mention that reception was closed early afternoon.

Review 22:Very spacious room in excellent condition. Staff very helpful and produced excellent breakfast on a trolly in the room.

Review 23:They changed the access code at night and did not tell us so getting back in at 10.30 proved harder than anticipated after a very relaxing day

Review 24:The fantastic modern rooms in an old extremely well renovated building.

Review 25:Breakfast expensive but good.

Review 26:A fabulous modern conversion of an old farmhouse. Huge bedroom & bathroom with every amenity. Very helpful receptionist.

Review 27:Everything was good.

Review 28:This is a lovely hotel, beautifully renovated in a pretty setting. Quick drive into Rodez but there are also several restaurants in the new area below the hotel. Breakfast was one of the best we've had in a hotel. Large rooms, very quiet and relaxed. Dog-friendly with no supplement.

Review 29:Very pleased with selection

Review 30:Lovely large room. Good location when driving in although not in city itself, just on other side of bridge. Great views. Staff very attentive and friendly, welcoming.

Review 31:I think that the hotel could make a bit more effort towards children -provide a few toys , games etc.

Review 32:This is a charming hotel with some of the best facilities of any smallhotel we have stayed at in France. Excellent beds and a lovely bathroom.Good room service and a substantial breakfast whicvh was good value.Welcoming and helpful staff.

Review 33:Limited reception hours.

Review 34:Large, beautiful rooms. Friendly and well-organized service. Location slightly out of Rodez centre but easy to find and well connected by road.

Review 35:There was nothing to dislike about this hotel.

Review 36:The hotel is quite beautiful, very small, quiet and comfortable. The staff is perfect; parking is plentiful and gated; the petit dejeuner copious. Location is perfect for visiting Rodez and surroundings.

Review 37:I did not dislike anything!

Review 38:The hotel is lovely and owned by the same family that owns Le Vieux Pont Hotel and Restaurant in Belcastel. I stayed at both for the first time this Sept. and enjoyed my time at both hotels tremendously. The Belcastel Vieux Pont Restaurant speaks for itself---Michelin starred and a great value for wonderful dining, ambiance and presentation. ferme du Bourran is newly renovated and up to the minute in terms of Milan inspired design and furnishings. The front desk is super friendly and helpful! You could not find a nicer person than Francoise at the front reception!!! very convenient to Rodez old town and yet just far enough away to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the quartier Bourran. This hotel is far superior to some of the old and tired looking hotels in old town like Mercure Cathedrale as an example. It is only a five minute drive to old town where there was no problem finding inexpensive paid street parking. The rooms are super clean and spacious, good amenities such as BBC television station for English speaking guests and free wifi in the room. Coffee and tea also in the room. Spacious garden to look out onto and a parking lot for hotel guests.

Review 39:Didn't take breakfast at hotel as guests are required to place order for breakfast the evening before. We found this arrangement unsatisfactory.

Review 40:It was very peaceful. Friendly & helpful staff. Spacious comfortable room. Excellent cleaniness. Good parking.

Review 41:A little tricky to find without satnav and a little islated from the town,- though it made it very quiet and peaceful.

Review 42:the quality of the furnishings/bedding/decor of the rooms throughout the hotel were exceptional.

Review 43:Ferme de Bourran was a great expirience, a 5 star hotel for a 3 star price. Great welcome & atmosphere. Very large rooms and you get lost in the bathroom so big. Will come again!

Review 44:Absolutely nothing!

Review 45:Excellent modern conversion of old buildings. There are only about 7 rooms. The space available per person is huge compared to many much more expensive hotels. The rooms are not particularly cheap by French standards, but you most certainly get value for money. All the facilities are of high quality, from the bedding, to the television, to the beautiful bathrooms. Blackout curtains and efficient airco mean you can have a good night's sleep however hot and sunny the weather. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast (12 euros)is of high quality and although there is no actual restaurant, they can offer light meals as room service. The hotel is outside Rodez, over the bridge, on the outskirts of the modern suburb of Bourran. It backs on to green fields and rolling countryside and is very quiet. Our dog was made welcome, and at no extra charge, which is most unusual. If we are ever in the area again, this is where we shall stay.

Review 46:Rather difficult to find amongst the modern hospital centre.

Review 47:Beautifully appointed room and artistically decorated. Delightful ladyrunning it. Great breakfast. Quiet.

Review 48:Spacious, comfortable, well equipped rooms, very peaceful on the edge of town. Receptionist friendly and very helpful. We intend to stay again for a week-end break.

Review 49:Vincent on Reception was very welcoming and showed us up to our room. When he opened the door there was an immediate Wow factor as the roomwas so large and well decorated. Very large wet room, table and chairs ,huge bed and free wifi facilities. There are four restaurents a fewminutes walk from the hotel and we recommend the Biblioteque Brasseriefor a lovely atmosphere and good food. We had the luxury of a very nicebreakfast brought to our room.

Review 50:A little difficult to find

Review 51:Staff and room were excellent

Review 52:No access before 4pm.

Review 53:Lovely big room, well appointed and great view. Quiet area, not far to old town.

Review 54:Nothing

Review 55:Excellent rooms, friendly helpful staff, delicious breakfast.

Review 56:Well appointed luxury hotel in a historic building. Very friendly staff

Review 57:Nice and modern facilities - big room and perfect bathroom.

Review 58:Car park not easy to find

Review 59:Room (very spacious), staff (very friendly)

Review 60:sterile no atmosphere like a upmarket motel

Review 61:excellent furnishings and extremely comfortable

Review 62:Needs a restaurant, local brasserie very busy

Review 63:Lovely room

Review 64:A delightfull boutique hotel, very chic...only need a car to move around.

Review 65:The bed is too firm.

Review 66:I liked the hotel but the bed was too fiirm.OTherwise its fine.
