Reviews for Miland Suites
Review 1:Leaving!!
Review 2:The owners. Absolutely the best people, friendly and helpful, true Greek hospitality at its finest. All of the treats and surprises were delightful and so unexpected. The views are spectacular, and the rooms and décor tasteful and well executed. Totally relaxing, best holiday we have had and we have travelled extensively. Antigoni, keep doing what you do so well. Thanks we will be back.
Review 3:There was nothing we didn't like.
Review 4:We absolutely loved our stay at the beautiful Miland Suites. The gourmet breakfast that Catherine or "mama" as she is called, made for us each morning just completely knocked us out. We have never been treated so much like a king and queen! This is a family owned hotel and they take great pride in everything they do. They are the warmest and friendliest hosts. And the daughter, Antigone, who speaks perfect English, helped us enormously with all of our plans, giving great advice, having a car brought for us, and picking us up at the airport. Milos turned out to be our favorite island because it's not as touristy as some of the others. And the people are far more relaxed because of that. Milos has the most stunning beaches we have ever seen in our lives anywhere. Antigone also arranged for an amazing boat trip got us. This beautiful B&B is new, and very artistically decorated: modern yet warm. It is located on top of the hill so that you can see the sunsets around the beautiful pool. I cannot recommend them more highly! Miland Suites should win an award for their warmth and gracious hospitality! They made us feel like family! We will be back!
Review 5:nothing. Perfect. This resort knows what the meaning of service is.
Review 6:We just stayed at the Miland Suites for my birthday. From the moment we arrived it was magical. The family owned hotel makes you feel like you are staying at your parent's home (in a good way :) The Mother/Father/Daughter owned hotel makes you feel like you have a special friend in Greece. The suites are absolutely beautiful. All new, recently opened in the last few years. Exceptional cleaned with modern amenities. We were greeted with a small gift and some edibles. This places knows what service is. Breakfast is unbelievable. The Mother makes homemade everything. This is not a basic juice and fruit breakfast. Come hungry. Here are some examples of how this place is exceptional: -Homemade birthday cake with a candle without any requests. They just did it -Special gifts upon arrival (very nice touch) -Superb Wifi. No issues at all -Amazing Views I have traveled around the world and stayed at many 5 star hotels. This place deserves 6 stars. You won't go wrong with staying here. It is a small boutique hotel and they know service. I will be coming back next year for sure!
Review 7:The road to the hotel is pretty rough and not well lit. And there are power lines obstructing some views of the ocean. I wouldn't hold this against the hotel, though.
Review 8:The staff of Miland Suites is extremely friendly and helpful. They're a family with great knowledge of the island and great hospitality. The care and attention and great breakfast and snacks that are provided make you feel you're staying at a luxurious B&B. You couldn't ask for a friendlier staff.
Review 9:We had an incredible stay. The service was amazing and very personable. They helped us book atvs to ride daily and gave us many beautiful places to see. It was unlike any other Island we have ever visited. The most beautiful and friendliest island that was easy to navigate. The family who operates the property was sooo nice. There were so many details that made the stay so special such as dessert each night left in our room to small candles lit outside. The breakfast was homemade and so delicious. Can't say enough about this place. Highly recommend.
Review 10:It was all great. However, you do need to hire a car to reach this accommodation.
Review 11:The great breakfast with homemade local dishes. The friendly informative staff and the great design of the bedroom suite.
Review 12:Beautiful in every way. Comfortable bed/rooms, great views and warm and helpful staff. Quiet and perfect for couples who just want to get away from it all!
Review 13:Tout était génial! un vrai paradis, un staff plus qu'accueillant, une vue paradisiaque pour assister au coucher de soleil sur les îles en direct du jacuzzi , et des petites douceurs faites maison pour nous accueillir en retour d'excursion.
Review 14:I cannot think of anything bad. Everything was perfect!
Review 15:Miland Suites is one of the best hotels / suites we have ever stayed in and the list of things that make it perfect is long. First of all, the owner, Antigoni, and the rest of the staff at the hotel are the nicest people you will ever meet. A perfect mix of welcomeness and professionalism. Antigoni helped us with everything that we needed (renting a car, giving us tips and directions etc). She is really nice and chatty and was always available. The rest of the staff were also super nice and helpful. Second of all, the breakfast. We have never had a nicer breakfast in a hotel. Everything was homecooked and they offered a buffet that would satisfy everyone's cravings (cold, warm, savoury or sweet). The yoghurt, marmalade, dried nuts and fruit was out of this world... At the end of the breakfast, Antigoni, would come with a new homecooked dessert everyday and all of them were divine! I miss this breakfast and dream of it everyday now... And every time we sat by the swimming pool we got complementary ice-tea, smoothies and fruit. This is just proof to the exceptional service the hotel offers. Furthermore, the rooms are immaculately clean and so cosy! The decor is really pretty and it gives you a feeling of being at home. The rooms are nice and cool and the air conditioning system is perfect. And they are cleaned to a high standard everyday. The pool area is also really nice and it is perfectly located, close to the rooms with an amazing view of the island and the sea... I loved this place and it made our stay in magical Milos even more special. I will try to come back here since it was the most beautiful Greek island I have ever been to and the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The service, the rooms and the breakfast make it all worth while. So don't think twice and book a room! You will not regret it :)
Review 16:I didn't expect the private pools to be heated, but a little heat in the main pool would have been a nice touch. Even the area within the main pool that looks like a hot tub is ice cold. A couple of intrepid people went in, but most just dipped a toe and shrank away. In the heat of the summer, it's probably fine. The pillows need to be replaced - lumpy and not appealing. They need to air out the closets - they smelled a bit dank and I wasn't excited to put my fresh clean clothes in there. Again, in this climate, right next to the sea, it's to be expected. They could have given bottled water each day - we got one at the beginning of the stay, but one each day as part of housekeeping would have been nice. It's not really a suite, in the sense that there are no kitchen facilities, other than a refrigerator. I assume at least a kettle for tea and a knife to cut fresh fruit when I hear "suite."
Review 17:Loved that they serve breakfast on your terrace, at your request, any time up until early afternoon. Thoughtful that they remembered our preferences from day to day. Beautiful large shared pool and private pools. Lush landscaping and glass panels give the illusion of privacy without ruining the awesome caldera views. The outdoor space was mildew free and extremely clean, which is tough to do in that climate. Loved the huge bathtub and plenty of hot water. Quiet part of the island with awesome sunsets. If you're just going to hang out at the hotel, no need to rent a car. There are several local tavernas in easy walking distance. The hotel was super-helpful with the rental car - everything was done when they said it would be and was very organized. We were a little jetlagged so it was useful to have blackout curtains. Air conditioning was quiet and effective.
Review 18:Really need a car as quite a long walk to anywhere up quite a steep rough road but you wouldn't get the views if it wasn't where it is...
Review 19:Fabulous pool area, everything spotlessly clean, superb comfort of rooms, lovely breakfast and attentive staff.
Review 20:Excellant view, lovely family running the hotel..... They met all our needs and was over the expectations...... The love, tender care the owners showed made our two nights stay a blessing away from all the hustle bustle of our working lives..... The first meal to start your day "the breakfast" was outstanding..... Over all we would recommend Miland Suites to every traveller in Milos looking forward to be in fantasy world......
Review 21:The shower stall should have a door, to avoid getting the whole bathroom floor wet.
Review 22:We are a couple, on low 30s, travelling on our honeymoon. Travelled on Sep.2014. We loved our stay at Miland Suites, everyone was very thoughtful! We were received with a candy and a bottle of sparkling wine upon our arrival (not to mention that the transfer from the port was complimentary!). Every day when we got back to the hotel there was a candy waiting for us in our room, which we loved to have together with a nespresso coffee made by us in the machine provided in the room. Also, in every breakfast they came up with a surprise, either a sweet or salty specialty. Besides that, during the very few moments we spent at the pool, we were given smoothies, or fruits, or iced tea! Simply amazing how they were always trying and making us happy! The hotel has 8 rooms, a large swimming pool and a ‘dining room’ where the breakfast was served. The room (junior suite with view) was large, with a mini kitchen and a balcony with chairs and table facing the swimming pool. The breakfast was buffet style, and they had lots of options of bread, cold cuts, marmalades, cheese, yogurt, honey, cakes, as well as the Greek specialties (olives, feta cheese, capers, and sundried tomatoes) As we already knew, the hotel is isolated and quite distant to the port Adamas (8min by car, maybe 25min by foot) so either you will have to rent a car or get a cab. We chose the first option and Anti (manager/owner) called a car rental company that brought the car and the contract to the hotel. We didn’t even had to go to their office. Also, Anti provided us with very useful tips on where to go (depending on the wind direction) and places to eat. The hotel also provides you with beach towels!
Review 23:The road getting to Miland Suites is a little strenuous, a car is a must. The power lines that run across the area between your view of the sea is not good but can't be helped by the owners. These are the only things I could find negative to say, everything else is "perfect"!
Review 24:The room, the pool, the owners and the generosity with breakfast and extras like drinks and champagne. I can't say enough about the kindness of the owners and the pride they take in their place! The grounds and pool area are of such beauty! The rooms are very nice with ceiling fan. Exceptionally clean with great decor. The bathrooms are so nice!! Excellent all around!!
Review 25:Occasional music by the pool in mornings/early afternoons feels ill-fitting at times, though is not disruptive.
Review 26:Amazingly peaceful yet interesting property and environs. Incredibly accommodating, warm, and thoughtful hostesses. WONDERFUL food Beautiful and tasteful landscaping Lovely view - the property is gorgeous with a pool that actually looks fantastic, and is fantastic to swim in as well. Very clean, comfortable, and well appointed rooms
Review 27:It's a bit expensive though it's certainly worth it It's not in the center so you should rent a scooter
Review 28:We had the feeling we were warmly welcomed! The view is breathtaking, the rooms and breakfast are amazing.
Review 29:Nothing
Review 30:Amazing location (the view is stunning), amazing service by the family of owners (they are very kind and give you the right tips to discover the islands & are looking after restaurant reservations), good internet service everywhere across the facilities (useful if you need to work), etc.
Review 31:There was nothing that we didn't like. But a couple of suggestions would be to definitely get a car - the Suites are up a hill and more than 2km from the main port town of Adamas. You'll need a car anyway to explore the island so this is no additional hassle. One other suggestion I'd make is that you might want to bring a bottle of wine or spirits with you to enjoy a sundowner by the pool. That would be the icing on the cake if Miland could/would support a 'cocktail hour' to accommodate an aperitif.
Review 32:The accommodation is only a year old so the estate is pristine and contemporary. Every little detail has been considered and allows for complete comfort and relaxation, including a sensational pool setting. But what really makes this setting so unique and incredible is the genuine and overwhelming Greek hospitality brought on by Antigoni and her lovely parents, who prepare all the food and cater to every need, quietly pottering in the background. We were given extra picnic packages each day, returned daily to find little treats in our room, and had a late check-out accommodated with no hesitation or extra expense. That is hospitality at its finest. If we didn't live so far away in Sydney we'd make a trip to Miland much more regular!
Review 33:Liked everything about it. From the location, to the design and layout, the staff (which is family run) are remarkable. They make you feel like your home. The home made breakfast was phenomenal. Very satisfied with every aspect of Miland Suites. Antigoni and her parents run a spectacular business.
Review 34:EVERYTHING! Miland Suites is an absolutely wonderful place and all the little details were so special...from the homemade breakfast specialties (and dessert treats) to the fresh brewed lemon and cinnamon tea by to us as we were lounging by the pool to the candles lighting the way at night. Antigoni and her family made our stay one of the most memorable ever. Everything was truly over the top in the most fantastic way.
Review 35:Be prepared to be a bit out of town and further from the water.
Review 36:Stunning views, excellent service, clean and beautiful rooms.
Review 37:Only a small matter but the but had a type of plastic under it.
Review 38:Extremely friendly, clean and overall we would strongly recommend it to others
Review 39:The service is unparalleled. Place is brand new and breakfast was home made everyday.
Review 40:Everything was just perfect! Lovely place! The hotel ia really confort, the owners are very nice and helpful! I will definitely come back!
Review 41:Not applicable
Review 42:Antigoni and her mother made our stay at Miland Suites and our visit to Milos a memorable experience. We truly enjoyed the home cooking, the hotel and the hospitality.
Review 43:Location is very picturesque. However, very open to the elements of North wind. You should rent a car when staying here due to distance from beaches, Restaurants, shops and so forth.
Review 44:Very friendly and generous staff. We were always treated well, almost like Family.
Review 45:The view is incredible however it isn't reachable at walking distance from the closest town, Adamas and it is far fron the Milos beaches. The price is slightly over priced, however it is worth the stay.
Review 46:What makes the place special is the hospitality and welcome given from the owners, a loving family ready to make your stay as memorable as they possibly can. The interior design is certainly different to what we know typical greek design to be. Most of the futniture is imported fron the US.
Review 47:Amazing hospitality. Antigoni treated us like part of her family. Beautiful rooms, great view, great atmosphere, great design.
