Reviews for Villa Mina
Review 1:A long walk to the shops and restaurants. Doable though, approx 20 to 30 mins.
Review 2:Clean large room with comfy bed, the view and peaceful location. Needed a car but the owner organised one for us at a good rate. No view from the room but a few steps to the pool and there it was! Wifi by the pool only, slow, patchy but adequate. Lovely owner, very helpful. We would go back and stay here again.
Review 3:Have a time organised prior to meet for check-in. Book either car or small bike for duration of your stay. Easy way to get around.
Review 4:Family friendliness. Helpful and accommodating. Quite clean and spacious. Highly recommended.
Review 5:I wouldn't say there was anything bad about the accommodation only a personal preference of liking a softer pillow!
Review 6:The staff were really nice and very helpful and informative. The room was really nice and was excellent value for money all round.
Review 7:Villa mina is a great family run place, we absolutely loved it: very cute pool and garden overlooking Adamas, lovely room, we felt very welcome thanks to Mina's kindness. Also loved all the kitties. We really recommend this place!
Review 8:We had a fantastic stay at Villa Mina. Mina couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The location is great, I would recommend getting a quad bike or a car to explore the island.
Review 9:Warm welcome from Mina and her family/team, we appreciated very much the extras (coffee & juice), very nice place for adults and kids. Excellent !
Review 10:Beautiful location like a small Village with quiet and calm. Mina is so amazing... Kind and everyone make us feel so well. Beautiful breakfast and amazing room. A place to come back for sure
Review 11:We did not rent a car and the villa is not close enough to the town or beach to walk. we had to call a taxi to go anywhere, but the fairs were reasonable and villa Mina always offered to call for us to be dropped off and picked up.
Review 12:Everything was wonderful! Best place we stayed on our two week adventure by far! Beautiful spot great facilities and they really cater to your needs as well as give great suggestions on where to go and what to see.
Review 13:A short distance from town. Too far to walk. Just rent a car or scooter. Nothing else to complain about.
Review 14:Very nice facilities. Clean and tidy. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Air conditioning worked well.
Review 15:There were some quite noisy children around the pool for a large part of the day which made it difficult for others to enjoy the facilities. Breakfast was rather modest.
Review 16:A very large and comfortable apartment with 3 balconies. Friendly staff and a nice, if a little small, swimming pool.
Review 17:We have been around the cycladic Islands for more than 10 years - Villa Mina was one of the best hotels we have ever been! The hospitality of Mina and her team was great! The rooms and the pool were lovely!
Review 18:Nothing to complaint
Review 19:The villa owners are very nice welcoming people, they make our stay very enjoyable. The rooms make you feel like you are in a spa and the rest of the facility is amanzingly decorated to give you a feeling of a 5 star resort definitively a Rancho Relaxo ;-)
Review 20:We could only make breakfast.
Review 21:Extrem nice and Big Pool area. Lovely and very clean apartment! Really beautiful and quiet Place! We enjoyed a Lot there!
Review 22:Internet is only by the pool or the office.
Review 23:The staff are very kind. The Villa is beautiful. The staff go to great lengths to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Review 24:Very central location of the Villa, with great rooms and excellent management that helped us on everything we asked promptly. We loved both the room we stayed and the "filoxenia" of the family owning and operating the facility. Hopefully we can return in a couple of years to stay more, as we didn't have time to see all the sights and explore in depth the island. Thanks for everything. Konstantinos & Maisa
Review 25:Nothing. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Review 26:This is the best place we stayed in 2 weeks of travelling in the Cyclades. Clean, quiet, and super cozy room that was exactly what was needed for relaxing. The pool and outdoor area are something to experience as well, it was a lifesaver on the hot August days. Mina and the staff were excellent as well, they all made our stay that much more memorable! Relatively close to the main port of Adamas, but do yourself a favor and plan on renting a car/scooter for a visit as it's a bit off the beaten path. When (not IF) we visit Milos again, we'll be staying here.
Review 27:There was really nothing not to like about this hotel, however, it's location is somewhat isolated. If you're not prepared to walk to and from the main town (approximately 25 minutes away) be prepare to ride the taxis frequently. Or, you could rent a car.
Review 28:The friendliness of the staff/ownership. Our family arrived at the Adamas port late at night, and with no taxis available to transport us to the hotel, Mina promptly organized a pick up.
Review 29:- Wifi should be available in the rooms, not just in common areas.
Review 30:- Amazing service, really personalised & the owners were super nice - Lots of cats - Great room - Lovely pool area + seats - Awesome view - Nice and secluded so you can get some quiet at night. You'll need to rent a car to get around Milos, but that's a given anyway.
Review 31:Nothing
Review 32:The family was so warm and friendly and accommodating. Total value for the money, beautiful pool. Felt safe on the island and in our hotel property.
Review 33:Need a car/moped to stay there in the hot season, as it is quite far to walk to Adamas in the heat. Would have appreaciated more paracols by the pool sunbeds
Review 34:The rooms are very clean and the pool area is nice. Mina was very helpful, and we really enjoyed our stay
Review 35:Quite a walk to the main town Wifi only in 2 locations No collection from the port, had to get taxi (only place out of all 5 not to offer this service)
Review 36:Lovely pool Big, spacious bedroom Friendly family run hotel
Review 37:Lack of friendliness of staff who did not welcome us with any refreshments on arrival after a long day of traveling. There was no tea or coffee provided in the room & Breakfast was not provided, as I was told we have 9 rooms & if every one wants breakfast it becomes very difficult. So we sat on our balcony each morning, without breakfast while our neighbours enjoyed theirs. The bathroom was not at an acceptable standard of cleanliness. The shower floor was slimy & the toilet was not particularly clean. Even though I booked the room 4months in advance, the room only catered for 2 apart from the 3rd bed. Only two blankets. Two glasses, two chairs etc. As for the pillows, rock hard! Certainly did not get the warm Greek hospitality, that I have experienced at so many other accommodation places.
Review 38:Surroundings, pool, & nice room
Review 39:It can seem a little far from the nice beaches, plaka, and main attractions, but with a vehicle and GPS/ directions you could get anywhere in no time. 8-19 euros max for a cab ride to get to the city & port. Not sure about the beaches.
Review 40:The staff, picturesqueness of the Villa, the lovely pool, the proximity to main attractions of Milos island (if you rent a small car or motorbike), our room (clean, adorable, great bathroom, excellent air conditioning unit), nice view, the cats and kittens on the property were a nice addition as well ;) ... Pretty much everything!
Review 41:We loved the peacefulness. Villa Mina is close enough to town, but far enough away so you have privacy and serenity. The owners were friendly and helpful. The facilities were so beautiful. Our room was lovely and included a little kitchen that we appreciated greatly. Our kids loved the pool, we loved the view. Our stay at Villa Mina was one of the best vacation stays we've ever had. We truly hope to visit again some day soon!! Thank you Villa Mina for an experience we will never forget!
Review 42:There were no cooking facilities, the booking.com site had said cooking hob and coffee making facilities. But there was just a coffee hob. So could only do breakfast and salads.
Review 43:Beautiful villa, lovely pool area and plants. Very clean. Friendly owners. 20 mins walk to Adamas.
Review 44:Just note that you can walk to the port area, but it would take you about 20 mins. Milos is an island which requires a car etc to get around to see its 80+ beaches
Review 45:Family run and built villas/rooms. Anna, Mina and Milto are very friendly and hospitable. They made our stay with the 3 young kids very easy. Always offered us a coffee or drink etc and we enjoyed sitting down with them to chat. The pool area is lovely with amazing views of the port area. We were the first to stay in apartment we were in. It is beautifully decorated with the minimalist traditional Cycladic island look but with a modern twist. We enjoyed our stay on milos very much and the family helped in recommending beaches, restaurants etc that did not disappoint.
Review 46:We were really looking fwd to our stay in this hotel as the reviews weregreat and they held a title of “Excellency”. On our very first day, wehad a visit in the bathroom not by one, but two cockroaches. Afterinforming the hotel management about this instance, they suggested tomove us into another room, only to find yet another huge cockroach. Iunderstand that the hotel is in the middle of fields and some bugs areto be expected, but from a psychological point of view, I couldn'tstay in a room where cockroaches may be wondering around. The mostannoying part was that the hotel management tried to deny this instanceand implied that we were making it up (!!!!!) (even though theypersonally saw one of the cockroaches in the room) and when we asked toleave earlier and cancel our stay, they wanted us to pay our whole staythere (6 days instead of the 2 that we actually got to stay). Thanks toBooking.com and their incredible service, we managed to leave on thesecond day and only got to pay for our actual stay.Horrible experience, lack of professionalism and really unhelpful staff.
Review 47:Bed was a little hard for my liking.
Review 48:Fantastic location with great view of Adams.
Review 49:- you have to take a cab to get to downtown
Review 50:- the host is really kind and helpful - everything is really clean - it's peaceful and quiet
Review 51:None
Review 52:Very helpful owner and staff
Review 53:The price which seemed a little higher than it should have been relevant to other places.
Review 54:Friendly helpful staff and pool.
Review 55:Just note that you'll need a car to get to the hotel.... but the wonderful view does worth it
Review 56:Everything was perfect : very big and well decorated room, the swimming pool, very friendly owners (do ask them where to eat, you won't be disapointed). A small paradise.
Review 57:little hard to find at night. there was tiny sign that hardly noticeable
Review 58:friendly staff, view, outdoor pool, healthy breakfast, big room, good interior design
Review 59:You should have car/motorbike to go there. Maybe, first time is quite difficult to find the place, but then you realize that is a good place.
Review 60:Everything was OK. The room has been cleaned everyday, the pool is fantastic, the view is amazing and the room comfortable. Anna was a good guide and she recommend several things to do it. It has private parking as well and wifi at the pool.
Review 61:nothing!
Review 62:Villa Mina is a wonderful place to stay in Milos. The place is on a hill with a beautiful view of Adamas and the sea. The owners is extremely polite and friendly. They can always offer you help if you need, Mina recommended few restaurants, markets, beaches, yacht cruise. They waited us for a long time as we arrived too late. The family tried to do our rest as we feel themselves like at home. Room large and comfortable, spotless clean with small kitchenette, swimming pool is great and breathtaking sea view. We recommend to stay here!
Review 63:It is a good walk uphill from the village of Adamas. Which means a beautiful view from the pool area, but I 15 minute walk in e heat every time you walk anything from town, unless you hire a scooter, quad or car.
Review 64:The room was really clean and beautifully furnished. Staff were really friendly and helpful, and though their English is not fluent, they really make an effort to speak it. And they are really nice, friendly and welcoming and so helpful.
Review 65:Our whole family loved our experience at Villa Mina enough to take off a day in Athens to stay another day at Mina. The place is on a hill with a beautiful view of Adamas and the sea, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The staff was incredible! So friendly and attentive! We were greeted with coffee and juice, and at various occasions, they happened by with a dish of delight or fresh fruit. Our girls, 14 and 11, loved being able to roam around the beautiful grounds and swim in the pool after a day at the beaches. It was truly a great getaway!
Review 66:nothing
Review 67:Location out of the town centre with excellent views of the coast. Lovely swimming pool. Host fantastic - she made some outstanding restaurant recommendations. Room large and comfortable with small kitchenette.
Review 68:Wow. Wow. Wow! We can't say enough good things about this beautiful place. Away from the noise of the harbour, Villa Mina is just outside of the port of Adamas (take a taxi as the roads are a little confusing) with a lovely view over Milos Bay. The owner - Mina - was excellent and really friendly. She was ever present with a smile and a suggestion for dinner or a really nice beach. The room was the most beautiful room we stayed in during our holiday! Really clean with a comfortable bed and a sink made out of an antique table. The pool was beautiful and a lovely crisp escape from the sun's glare. You HAVE to stay here!
Review 69:Staff very welcoming, helpful and friendly
Review 70:Impecably clean, wonderful location. Pool side view of Adam as and the sea harbour were the best! Rent a car and stay here!
