Review 1：Wish they had a hook to hang the shower head up on.

Review 2：The staff are brilliant. So friendly and helpful. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Good restaurant with reasonable prices. The location is excellent.

Review 3：I would give the best grade until I saw the dust and spider nets in the walls. This is unacceptable, the walls was a disaster, the rest of the room was clean. the air-conditioning is noisy.

Review 4：The location, right in the center of the city, close to stores, cafes, clubs etc, the personnel very helpful, bed and bath was clean (except the walls) and the room is spacious. All the necessary amenities in the bathroom. We had 3 beds in room was very convenient for family and price too and no smoking room.

Review 7：Location is superb. Close to bus and rail stations, port and a brilliant ocean view. Superb decco hotel with a 70's vibe but a clean, very ornate hotel. Highly recommend for a city stay in Patras. Huge bed! Brilliant bathroom and amenities. Roof top pool and restaurant is awesome. Room service was brilliant and the restaurant is a pleasant place to eat.

Review 13：Nice if rather faded hotel with very dated decor. It sits on a busy road near the port but is very handily placed for a walk into the town centre (which is surprisingly attractive). The rooftop restaurant/bar is pleasant in the evening (the food reasonable). The breakfast is good.

Review 14：We were extremely disappointed that the pool and rooftop area were closed due to "bad weather" the pool was the only reason we spent the extra money to stay here and we were quite annoyed, the forecast predicted average weather however we spent the whole day outdoors without catching a droplet of rain, with the sun shining over our heads. We feel like the staff were just being lazy and didn't want to open the pool for the day. How hard is it to just close the area if or when the weather takes a turn?!

Review 17：Really loved the location. Right on the centre, close to all the restaurants and shops. It is also a two minute walk from KTEL Patras which was a huge plus since we took the bus to the airport. (Araxos) The rooms were spacious, and clean. Free wi-fi. We had great snacks at the restaurant on the top floor where the pool was. Overall, great experience, will definitely go back when i visit Patras again.

We had stored some luggage and when we wanted to retrieve it a specific staff member made it seem such a huge task to do so. also telling us we were in the way of staff passing.I was ensured our luggage would be locked up somewhere safe bu the bell boy couldn't find it,he actually presented us with 2 huge suitcases which clearly had been intrusted to the hotel by another guest. I eventually found ourlugfagein a cupboard which had remained unlocked with our valuables in it for 6 days.

Though it might be someone elses fault the management should act responsible towards their customers. In our case they did not.

Review 46：The 'air conditioning' was the old, inefficient type found in many older Greek hotels that works more in the imagination than in reality. Although set to 20C, our room was constantly at 26 or 27C (we carry our own time/temp always with us). The toilet seat was dangerously unstable and constantly shifted dramatically when in use. It was a seriously cheap seat that did not match the other bathroom fixtures. There was a pronounced musty smell in the hallway outside our room. When we tried to use the rooftop pool, we found it filled with local 20-somethings, not guests, who had commandeered all the chaise-lounges.

Review 47：Our room was gratifyingly big, even by North American standards, and the large balcony's views of the Ionian Sea (especially the sunsets) breathtaking. The marble-rich Greek Modernist decor made us feel as if we were in a 1960s black-and-white Greek film. Lots of storage space for clothing, etc., and the Wi-Fi worked fine. The bathtub was of the wonderful deep, soaking type, in which you can lean back and relax.

Review 48：WiFi was worse than useless. Had to turn it off and use my cellular connection. Only one power point in the room, as far from the bed as possible, so we could only charge one phone, and had to put it on the floor. Bathroom grubby, with stains on floor and surfaces around the taps. I could hear people talking in one of the other rooms, even with my ear-buds in. Room was oppressively hot, and windows opened onto busy street.

Review 49：Breakfast variety and quality not matching hotel's aspirations. The juice drink consisted of 2/3 of water... The tables were covered with white cloths, but these were not changed during my five-day stay.

Review 53：Rude check in staff told us off for arriving later than specified upon making the reservation, said he was calling but my phone was switched off (I ran out of battety) all this despite the fact the hotel had my credit card and would charge me in case of no show. This room cost 150 euro but reception staff said they almost gave the room elsewhere as they were full

Review 57：The wifi was the worst. They claim it is everywhere,but in reality you have to sit by the elevator. The place was probably really nice back in the 1950s, but it doesn't seem to have been updated since then. The service was basically nonexistent. The bathrooms were very bad as well. The toilet was nearly impossible to flush. The TV was a joke and the towels were more like tea towels.

Review 72：The only drawback to the Astir is the parking which is virtually impossible outside the hotel. They do have parking underneath the hotel which is safe and secure but they charge 8 euro. Personally I feel this is a bit steep when you are a resident of the hotel.

Review 74：This hotel was a 4 star hotel in an other era but should no longer be one. Outdated design, furniture... Everything felt too old. Also, the service was not worthy of a 4 star hotel. Why do they have a lobby boy when he doesn't help you transport the luggage up the stairs from the parking to the hotel but only from the reception to the elevator? Dirty bathroom. The water in the basin didn't go down. The bidet was disgusting. The opening hours of the mini-pool are a joke.

Review 85：We took the bus in from Volos to take a ferry to Italy and needed to spend the night. Got a good deal on Booking (quarter of the rate listed on the back of the door). The rooms are huge with a faded elegance. Patras was surprisingly fun - charming in its own strange way. An impossible number of cafes. A cafe for every resident! We stayed an extra night!! AND Room Service has a bacon cheeseburger for 5 Euro.

Review 86：The service at reception was terrible. They charged the money in my credit card without any kind of previous information, before we made the check-out. Besides, I had to borrow them my ID for the check-in. 'It will be ten minutes', they said. I'm still waiting to recover it. As the person who gave the keys back was my couple, they didn't give her anything, and when I tried to contact them by mail, they've just ignored me. Conclusion: Good facilities for an awful service at reception.

Review 92：We stayed at the Astir four years ago, and at that time would have given it an excellent rating in all categories. Not so, this year. It has taken on a shabby appearance (hallway carpeting) and the bathrooms were definitely not clean: mold around the underside of the shower soap holder and dirty corners. No one is monitoring the cleaning staff.

Review 93：The Roof Garden restaurant is lovely. The food is excellent and so is the service. The staff is friendly and attentive. The same is true of the breakfast buffet. The hotel is beautiful, upon entering. It has an impressive lobby.
