Reviews for The Dewdrop Inn
Review 1:Very welcoming, good food and polite staff. Arrived very late after difficult journey but kept in touch with the hotel, they even phoned en route to ask if we wanted sandwiches on arrival.
Review 2:Room 6 was very warm even when the thermostat was turned down . When I rang to confirm the booking via Bookings.com, I was informed that I should have checked with the guesthouse first. they only have a double room for a dog and therefore not a 3rd bed for my son . However, I was accommodated in family room after being asked a few questions re the dog. I was informed upon arrival that some guests did not like dogs or were allergic etc Surely these requirements should have been known to the guesthouse via Bookings.Com & vice versa. The restaurant was closed at 6 pm and was a bit early
Review 3:Good Location, Lovely breakfast with a good choice Christmas decorations were great Patio door and Windows with access to lawns & useful when I hadn't got my door pass to get into the corridor Lovely decor
Review 4:The staff made us feel very welcome and were attentive to help ensure our stay was as pleasurable as possible. The food in the restaurant for our evening meal and breakfast was of a very high standard and great value for the price.
Review 5:The ladies' loo is like an oven, you have been warned! The bacon & black pudding at breakfast were too salty for my taste, but the sausage was lovely, as was everything else.
Review 6:Comfortable, clean, friendly, good food. Welcoming staff all very nice, nothing was a problem for them. Well stocked coffee & tea in the room, bed comfortable, decent shower, lots of toiletries supplied. If we come back this way we'll certainly stay here again.
Review 7:N/A
Review 8:From the momment we entered the inn until we left , the service provided my the staff was excellent. The food at dinner and at breakfast was prepared from fresh and was excellent value. The owner appears to have succeeded in providing an ideal and professionaly run establishment.
Review 9:Looked like bar was closed only 10 at night but did managed to get served had to put heating on in room small TV
Review 10:Frendly staff who help when there were no late meals
Review 11:Stayed for one night whilst visiting our son at university. Excellent location a few minutes from city but in a rural setting. Staff were excellent, friendly and attentive. We had dinner in the inn's lovely restaurant with our son. The food was well presented and of a very high standard. We enjoyed the fact we were not rushed which gave us time to enjoy being with our boy!! Thankyou to the Drewdrop team we will definitely return!
Review 12:We'd booked two rooms and we were one side of the pub and our friends the opposite side,
Review 13:Really nice pub and very friendly staff. Only 10 minutes from Worcester centre.
Review 14:Nothing
Review 15:The staff and the owner were so welcoming and warm it made the trip really memorable. The food in the restaurant is absolutely fantastic.. Do not go anywhere else to eat.. Highly recommended..
Review 16:We couldn't find any faults.
Review 17:On arrival at the hotel we were greeted in a very friendly manner and showed to the twin room we had booked. The room was a delight and everywhere was spotless with a good supply of tea and coffee etc. The food in the restaurant was very good and freshly cooked. There is plenty of car parking spaces.
Review 18:As we had to stay in annex because we had our small well behaved dogs unfortunately we where below a family room that was quite noisy when returning back to their room in the evening. So I don't feel the extra cost for dogs necessary.
Review 19:The restaurant was very good.
Review 20:None
Review 21:There was nothing to dislike - a wonderful hotel, excellent staff, accommodation and restaurant. 100%. They made our Golden Wedding Anniversary very special.
Review 22:The helpfulness of the staff who couldn't do enough for us even though we arrived late and the kitchen was closed they provided us with food. A perfect stop off not far from the motorway.
Review 23:How wonderfully accommodating the staff were and full of humour even though we were three couples trying to do everything together including have a late checkout because we were running in the afternoon nearby. Charming and very convivial, would definitely go back if we are in the area again
Review 24:A group of us stayed for a wedding and were very warmly welcomed by the friendly team at The Dewdrop! Lovely food and comfortable, clean rooms - it was a really great location for us to set up our 'base' over several days of wedding activities.
Review 25:Sorry Dewdrop but beds just a bit too soft. Unfortunately you can't please everybody and beds are a personal like/dislike area In every other respect you just couldn't better what you do.
Review 26:Very obliging and courteous staff. Extremely clean, well appointed premises and room. Restaurant service and facilities excellent, food excellent and at a very fair price. Despite pub being busy very quiet customer dispersal end of evening. Big bonus for all Elgarians is that you can walk to Birthplace Museum from here.
Review 27:We enjoyed the location it was nice and peaceful although not to far from the places of interest. Especially Elgar's birth place. I feel that is a good indicator for the location as that is well sign posted.
Review 28:The room whilst lovely and clean, was a little warm, and didn't feel comfortable opening the rather large window during the night, even though people further up had
Review 29:Food and drink fabulous, staff very friendly, room was really clean and comfortable and the choice of beverages in the room really good.
Review 30:An excellent makeover of a village pub with new accommodation for dining and bedrooms. Tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable, excellent staff, and a relaxing location. Free parking and only a couple of miles from Worcester.
Review 31:Unfortunately the shower was very very hot and a few cobwebs in the bedroom, but it was a high ceiling.
Review 32:The staff were lovely and the food in the restaurant was delicious. Breakfast was great with a good selection. Nice relaxed atmosphere, lots of parking and handy places to walk the dog.
Review 33:You have to ask for a hair-dryer, iron, etc. Response to requests was speedy, but seemed old-fashioned.
Review 34:Staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms looked new / newly refurbished. Standard was very high.
Review 35:An extremely well run and appointed inn. Our room was clean, spacious, comfortable with normal facilities. Very quiet? The restaurant was exceptional by any standards and very reasonably priced. A good range menu from 'pub' dishes to the more sophisticated. All staff were helpful and friendly without being obtrusive. It is well placed fro visiting Worcester, Malvern and various other places, though not much to see near the inn itself, apart from The Elgar Museum. Not really a criticism as far as we were concerned. Thoroughly recommended.
Review 36:Friendly and comfortable with the unexpected pleasure of a fantastic restaurant. Flawless food and pleasant staff. Value for money is excellent, a gem in the outskirts of Worcester
Review 37:Bed was very very hard however my husband didn't find it a problem.
Review 38:The staff were fantastic and the food incredible. Lovely and clean both in restaurant and rooms.
Review 39:The family room was well provided in terms of beds but the room had an unfortunate odour that took the shine off the stay. Which is a shame because the staff were superb. It was just for that price I expect a clean and pleasant room. However, it had a stake smell that was quite off putting.
Review 40:Lovely country inn and very friendly staff. Lovely location just a little out of the way from Malvern.
Review 41:No porridge for breakfast nor fish (haddock or mackerel) though other fish was offered for dinner. TV was too small.
Review 42:Quiet location 10 minutes drive from Worcester, friendly and good food. Restful. Easy parking
Review 43:Surprisingly for breakfast No porridge, no wheatabix, and no fish (eg haddock or mackerel) available. But this is easily remedied if they choose to.
Review 44:Friendly and helpful. Good standard of room and food Inc great fish options. Easy parking. Quiet location.
Review 45:No complaints.
Review 46:Lovely quiet location. Very good ambience both inside and on the outside patio for evening refreshments. Will definitely use again next time we are in the area visiting relatives.
Review 47:Although it had two names on the booking form it also said single use and we had to pay an extra £25.00 per night, not the fought of The Dewdrop Inn, more an oversight by me for not checking properly.
Review 48:Relaxed feeling. The staff were very helpful and polite.
Review 49:Great Location. staff were friendly and helpful. Loved that our room opened straight onto the lovely beer garden - spent the afternoon sat out with my book and a wine! room and pub were both clean and well maintained. food (both breakfast and dinner in the pub) were tasty, fresh and well cooked.
Review 50:In the 5 person room the bathroom is a bit small but this is only minor.
Review 51:Nice country relaxing well run establishment with good facilities and superb food and service.
Review 52:The setting was beautiful. Our room had its own access which was excellent. The room was very clean and spacious with everything we needed. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend it
Review 53:I didn't likethefact there was fruit on the first morning at breakfast and none of the other 2 mornings. Also there was no shaver connection ifn the bathroom to allow electric toothbrushes to be charged
Review 54:The fact nothing was any bother to any member of staff. Everyone was so helpful
Review 55:We were very disappointed with the size and uncomfortable bed!!
Review 56:This was our second visit....as we loved it the first time we thought we would revisit this little treasure.....We loved the location and the ambiance of the place. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the breakfast was plentiful and very tasty.
Review 57:A very warm and friendly welcome from all of the excellent staff . The room was very clean and comfortable everything you would expect from a nice hotel. We had dinner the food and service was amazing well done.
Review 58:Not being able to relax and enjoy breakfast due to noise from staff cleaning bar . Table situated right next to coffee machine so noise from that too.
Review 59:Pleasant surroundings of Inn. It's cleanliness and comfortable room. Friendliness of staff and excellent dinner.
Review 60:Lovely room and friendly welcome. Very clean. Breakfast was first rate. Coffee was something else! Really enjoyed my stay here.
Review 61:No negative aspects of my visit and stay.
Review 62:One cup of coffee from breakfast. Room very hot and stuffy. Didn't want to open window at night onto pub patio area.
Review 63:Nice room, nicely appointed. Good supply of tea and coffee in the room. Nice food available at restaurant.
Review 64:We had the family room in tbe annex, which was excellent and full of chaeacter, but there was a bit of road noise in the early morning.
Review 65:Very welcoming, excellent food and choice of wine and other drinks. Lovely garden
Review 66:chose fish and chips for evening meal, seemed tough and felt like it had been kept warm - next day I was very sick
Review 67:both waitresses, young women very pleasant
Review 68:Windows need to have security locks so that the window can be opened at night - room was very hot due to hot weather
Review 69:Clean, tidy, safe, comfortable, good food, pleasant service
Review 70:Throughout our stay all the staff were friendly and helpfull. The rooms were excellent and the food was superb. We only wished that we lived nearer as we would then be able to dine there on a regular basis.
Review 71:I'm only guessing but the Dew Drop Inn sounds like a phony name. I feel pubs in England are historic buildings and I hate it when they are given name changes which have nothing to do with the building or it's location. This is a Georgian pub and I doubt if it started life as the Dew Drop Inn. If it did I stand corrected.
Review 72:The pub was clean and tidy, it also had a nice beer garden. The staff were very friendly and the room was comfortable. The beer was good and also the food.
Review 73:Hot without good through ventilation from windows, & very noisy, I believe there were better quieter rooms at the rear of the site which would probably be OK, am not used to noisy conditions!
Review 74:Was clean & well served with towels etc & the food was very good
Review 75:Modern pub and accommodation. The room was spacious and we liked the door in the room that led out onto the outside seating area. Friendly staff and the food was excellent.
Review 76:Bit far out of town because we didn't want to use the car. Could have got a taxi but that was our choice. Wished we had stayed more than one night
Review 77:The bedroom leading into the garden the overall cleanliness and lovely staff
Review 78:All excellent thanks
Review 79:Peace and quietness Freindly and attentive staff Food very good quality and value for money at evening dinner time & breakfast although for me portions were very large
Review 80:The rooms were beautifully decorated and we liked that the French doors opened on to the terrace. Breakfast was very good-the full English was freshly cooked with good quality ingredients. We will be back!
Review 81:Little to fault in the Dewdrop. Stayed in the two room annex. Noises from top room could have been intrusive. Loo flushing and tap running can clearly be heard. Lighting too dim in the bath room
Review 82:Staff helpful and cheerful. Ambience and cleanliness. Good food and very fair prices. Large terrace area, wonderful on a Sunny day. All round an excellent place to stay
Review 83:Wasn't really a bad experience but was just a little disappointed with the menu for dinner in the restaurant, very limited choice for such a lovely place.
Review 84:Room was very comfortable and clean, staff really friendly and helpful, nice location
Review 85:the weather when we woke up monday morning but that cant be pre booked unfortunately
Review 86:Very welcomming staff - made to feel at home - had emailed previously about dietry requirements and chef excelled himself - nothing was too much trouble
Review 87:The only criticism I had was that the bedroom curtains were let in too much light and it was hard to get back to sleep after 4.30. I mentioned this to the owner and I believe he will sort it out. Unless you sleep in the room it is hard to evaluate that sort of thing.
Review 88:Everything about our stay was lovely. The general manager and his staff were amazing. We were never left waiting at the bar without being acknowledged, the service was great The room was perfect and very clean. There are patio doors from the rooms giving a lovely view of the garden. Will definitely be staying again.
Review 89:Unfortunately for us the beds were far too soft, hence a poor nights sleep. Medium firmness mattresses would be an average for the majority of people.
Review 90:The restaurant food was excellent. A bit more choice would be helpful.
Review 91:Really good size room with tasteful furniture, comfortable bed and excellent shower. The food in the restaurant was very good indeed, especially the evening meal.
Review 92:Room was on road side and had room above which didnt make for a good nights sleep. Carpet in room needs cleaning. Evening meal wasnt great.
Review 93:Good breakfast
Review 94:You couldn't really call this part of Worcester. Rather it is the first village outside of Worcester. The advertising spiel doesn't really give the correct impression in this respect.
Review 95:very welcoming staff. Quiet location in a separate extension to the main restaurant & pub. good food
Review 96:Wifi in my room just would not work but works fine in the main area.
Review 97:From the moment I arrived I was made to feel welcome. The room was lovely and a good size. The food in the pub was some of the best I have eaten, service was attentive without being overbearing. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice and freshly cut fruit, one of my favourites.
Review 98:Lovely room with ensuite . Excellent breakfast and evening meal. The staff are very polite and welcoming. The rooms were separate from the bar and restaurant, there was no noise.
Review 99:None. Location maybe a little out of the way for Worcester town centre, you did need a taxi if going out in the evening unless you were driving.
Review 100:The welcome at the hotel was good, pleasant surroundings, lovely clean room with very comfortable beds and facilities.
Review 101:My room was a bit cold but a radiator was supplied, other than that it was fine.
Review 102:Pleasant surroundings, quiet and peaceful. Good restaurant and pleasant staff. It is not a hotel for the business traveller - but anyone looking for a nice weekend break would not go wrong with the DewDrop
Review 103:No hairdryer in room but available on request.
Review 104:Clean comfortable room in quiet location with french doors opening onto the garden. Restaurant food was excellent and reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Review 105:Evening dining was a little disappointing - cream of vegetable soup was course and not was expected. Battered fish soaked in cooking oil - not pleasant. No electric shaving point in bathroom or main bedroom.
Review 106:Friendliness of staff
Review 107:As we had car problems on the way,we were a little later than anticipated! But not only did we have a warm welcome but also a wonderful meal cooked especially even though it was late! x Lovely people! Perfect room for family of five! Everything supplied.
Review 108:Water pressure for shower was ok but not brilliant. Shower not bath.
Review 109:Helpful and friendly staff. Superb food -especially dinner in the restaurant, which was good value for money. Perfect for pets with French doors from room onto grassy area and lots of walking nearby. Really nice decor in restaurant.
Review 110:Being picky, the wifi in the room was terrible, even though there was a repeater there. It's a bit isolated, so no alternative to the hotel and the drive to Worcester centre in the morning will take about 20 mins.
Review 111:Very friendly welcoming staff. The evening meals were really excellent and the staff were attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Rooms were quiet and comfortable.
Review 112:Only downside, the security sensors fitted in room, were annoying during night, as every time you turned over in bed or moved the light illuminated, which caused us to keep waking up - hence a disturbed night.
Review 113:Beautiful Inn, friendly staff, chabby chique design - loved all the décor. Food excellent. Surroundings outside perfect and peaceful
Review 114:Bed comfy but only standard double, fine for us but some may find it a little small.
Review 115:Little touches in room, bottled water etc. Proximity of lovely restaurant.
Review 116:If only the bed had been harder we would have scored top marks all round.
Review 117:Very friendly owner and staff. Rooms very well appointed, extremely clean and excellent food.
Review 118:Good location for a trip to Worcester. Very impressed by staff going out of their way to re-unite us with some lost property. Can't fault anything.
Review 119:Think picture on website somewhat misleading as to "garden rooms". Have had much better value for £90 for b and b.
Review 120:meal good but think waiter should offer to fill up both our wine glasses, not just the male client's.
Review 121:Nothing not to like
Review 122:Really friendly and helpful staff. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Lovely quiet location only minutes from City centre. Quality of food at lunch and dinner, standard of cleanliness throughout 10/10 fantastically clean. Well appointed bedrooms with individual heating controls and really good showers. Breakfast was very good. Will return to this lovely hotel in future.
Review 123:Very small family room which was cold on arrival (end December). Fact only given one key so left in dark whilst partner went to the car. Shouldn't have had to ask for another one.
Review 124:Service and food
Review 125:I've stayed here many times and I have never had anything other than a great stay. The staff are excellent, the rooms are comfortable and clean. The wifi always works and the restaurant is excellent.
Review 126:As vegetarians, the menu options were limited. We had the 2 on the menu, so would have struggled if we had stayed for a third night! we wondered how quiet it would be in the summer, if people from the pub side were sitting in the garden next to the rooms.
Review 127:This was an ideal location for visiting Worcester. The rooms were quiet and clean. The restaurant had a good atmosphere.
