Reviews for Agnanti Hotel
Review 1:Our apartment was located about 50 meters from the main road between Adamas and Plaka so could hear some traffic noise from our apartment if the windows were open. However, it didn't bother us. The hotel is very conveniently located about 1.5 to 2 km from Adamas, Plaka, and Sarakiniko but would recommend renting a car or scooter.
Review 2:We found Agnanti to be one of the best budget hotels in Greece, and outstanding value for the money! We were a family of 5 adults and stayed in the 2-room apartment located on the middle level of the complex, and in the studio just below it. Both units were clean, spacious and tastefully decorated in a simple, basic Cyclades style; the bathrooms were quite large (especially for a budget hotel!) with plenty of hot water for showers. The beds were firm (typical for Greece) but very comfortable we thought. The highlight of the apartment was the HUGE vine-covered balcony with lovely views of the sea and countryside (great place to gather in the evenings and enjoy a glass of wine). Also, the breakfast was delicious with an assortment of fresh breads, pastries, yogurt, dry cereals, and cheese and sliced meats. The free WiFi, although not super fast, worked fine. The owner Dimitris went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable! Free pick-up and drop off at the port, and he even let us stay late in the apartment on our departure day at no charge since our ferry was in the evening. We would definitely return!
Review 3:Even if the bathroom was very large, maybe it's too much "spartan" and sometimes there was a problem with the drainage system causing an unpleasant smell
Review 4:Huge room.Really nice balcony. Breakfast included. Dimitri, the owner,is a very smart person. He can help you to solve any problem during your journey and can give you a lot of useful suggestions about Milos
Review 5:The structure is very big and the staff is welcoming. The breakfast was included and is a plus. You actually stay in apartments, with a balcony ! Positioning is great! He is working on the structure to make it even bigger!
Review 6:Amazingly friendly staff, and very comfortable rooms in a lovely setting on the hillside. This isn't the place to stay if you don't have your own transportation on Milos, there's nothing in walkable distance, but if you do have a car/scooter - it's an amazingly quiet place to be - and you can get anywhere from here easily.
Review 7:The breakfast was good enough, but it could be a bit better
Review 8:The room was big and very clean. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. Very nice view from he balcony.
Review 9:It is far from the port, so you need a vehicle for everything! It is expensive according what you pay. We didn't have a kitchen sink so we had to use the one of the bathroom. It was not comfortable. Moreover there wasn't a cooker, we had to ask for it. I don't understand why do we had to ask for if it was included in the prize. The personal of the hotel was not talkative, it could be more kind and helpful. The breakfast is poor and you have to put everything on your table, glasses,plates...
Review 10:In general, we didn't like anything. Just the bed was confortable.
Review 11:Many stairs, but owner found a very good solution for us. cats trying to enter room at night. hotel located between 2 busy roads, so most rooms without a very nice view. electric kettle and wall plug broken, but were fixed.
Review 12:large shady balcony good beds, attractive furniture helpful owner we were upgraded from a small, stuffy room to a nice big airy room
Review 13:My girlfriend and I stayed at the Agnanti apartments for seven days perfectly situated between the towns Adamas and Plaka. We hired a car for our entire stay that made it easy getting to both towns, Plaka being our favourite. The Agnanti apartments are really spacious, clean and private with a really authentic feel built into the hillside. The staff are amazing and so helpful, no complaints, highly recommend.
Review 14:There was a lot of unavoidable noise from traffic as the hotel is on the only road out of the town of Adamas. Was pretty constant from morning to night but was just outside of main town so felt like a nice getaway from people traffic.
Review 15:The staff was helpful and welcoming. Helped us with learning some Greek as let us know the best beaches every day according to the winds. Had a beach umbrella available for us to use and a full breakfast started our days nicely. Beautiful view and balcony was big and nice to enjoy meals and shaded in afternoon to enjoy the breeze.
Review 16:Main road goes around the hotel, so it could be pretty noisy from time to time. Sliding door to the bathroom needs repairing - it was hard to open and close.
Review 17:Nice and clean room. Spacious balcony with a vine running around it. A wide view towards the valley, city and a bit of the sea. Parking space near the hotel. Nice breakfast, especially pastry. And, of course, the hosts who are really sweet and helping! Although it's located a bit out of the town, it's not a problem if you rent a car or bike, since it's just 3 minutes drive to the centre of Adamas.
Review 18:There are few places on the island away form a road, for us it was nota concern.
Review 19:Dimitris is very accommodating and concerned about your comfort. He madeevery possible effort to provide us with any accommodation we mightneed. He and his staff prepared our room daily after we left in themorning. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh, made with ingredientsgrown on the property with bread fresh from the bakery not 200 m downthe road. Our room was very spacious and had a huge balcony overlookingAdamantas and the water. The location was a perfect launching point togo anywhere on the island. For us it was the perfect place at theperfect price.
Review 20:We knew this beforehand, but it's a bit of a walk from the port to the hotel (20-30 min). But, owner is willing to give you a ride (which is very nice!)
Review 21:Very nice atmosphere, owner is very helpful, good breakfast with fresh yoghurt and sandwiches. Nice to walk to Plaka, Sarakiniko and Mandrakia. Beautiful view on the island and the ocean. I would certainly recommand it!
Review 22:Very bad location (between two main roads hence sunrise view) Mouldy shower curtain Broken chair Pans but no kitchenette (not a big problem) Poor wifi everywhere (dependant on position and which way the wind was blowing) Chose between A/C or TV (one plug) A/C temporamental
Review 23:Huge room with nice terrasse Kittens (that says it all) Friendly staff Good bakery close by View (nice sunrise and landscape view from terrasse)
Review 24:The Manager (Dimitris) is an amazing guy, he will do everything to make sure you will enjoy your stay.. In our situation, Dimitris helped us resolve an issue we faced with a car rental company and he helped us find last minute another one. The hotel is in a very convenient location, close to everything and quiet...
Review 25:Breakfast poor and low quality, low variety eg 3 day old creme served!!!!. Old doors which could not secure properly, bad odour on the bathroom, absence of anti Miskito doors, mattress with springs which you could feel on your body. Flooring in average condition. Generally for 100 euros per night I would expect fine facilities with a fresh breakfast everyday with new and clean towels (not 3000 times washed feeling like rock) and far many things....
Review 26:Location if you have your own transportation. The outside appearance of the buildings.
Review 27:Staff is very helpful and do their best to make your stay confortable and without stress! Location is good because in the middle of main roads going either to Adamas (south), or west/east to nice places. You will be not so far from everywhere.
Review 28:Tucked away on the hills overlooking Adamas, Dimitri's place is an oasis of peace. Wine plants and Bougainville flowers all over, and the feeling of being back in time. 30 years ago. Dimitris has proven to be an amazing host! Beside the amazing breakfast and proverbial hospitality, he taxied us up and down from the port a number of times, and kept perfectly calm when my girlfriend left her precious camera in the hotel minutes away from the ferry boat departing. Dimitris saves us the day! Will definitely be back :)
Review 29:Necessary to have transport, it is on the middle of the hill. The breakfast is basic, could improve. The apartment is big, but almost empty and impersonal. The WiFi un the room is bad.
Review 30:The owner, Dimitri, picked up from the port the first day and bring us back at the end of the stay. It is posible to cook something básica con the apaetment.
Review 31:Stay if you have a car or scooter to get around. Everyone is genuinely helpful, and there to insure that you enjoy your holiday! No request is too much trouble.
Review 32:Nothing, everything was perfect!!!!
Review 33:The hotel manager (the amazing Dimitris) was more than eager, helpful and effective! He provided us with every last detail about the island (beaches, food tips, etc)! Also, his father (Vangelis, aka "The Captain", gave us useful advice about the weather and the wind, so as to choose the proper beach each day!) The room was satisfying with the typical cycladic architecture! Also, the cleaning lady used to change our sheets and towels daily!
Review 34:The structure would need a general freshening and accommodation, the breakfast room is rather drab. The breakfast is very limited self service. To have a toast is necessary to require that Dimitry is still available.
Review 35:Structure near the port of Adamas, in an elevated position overlooking the port, and from where you can easily reach all the beaches. The studios have a good privacy and a beautiful view. The owner Dimitry is very helpful.
Review 36:air conditionning working not so well
Review 37:The location nearby the main beaches
Review 38:Comfort of bed, poor breakfast
Review 39:Location , helpful staff
Review 40:It just needs a little money spending on it
Review 41:The owners are lovely people
Review 42:The staff was amazing. They quickly responded to all our requests. The shuttle service was the best!!
Review 43:Very friendly staff Very spacious balcony Lovely view
Review 44:La grande terrasse. Vue imprenable et l'espace de la pièce ++ déj. Irréprochable
Review 45:Fabulous Hosts!!
Review 46:Big Rooms but with basic furniture (not a real problem)
Review 47:Hospitality Outstanding reception Position of the Hotel
Review 48:Highly recommend this hotel! Couldn't have done more for us!
Review 49:Nothing, unusually!
Review 50:Outstanding reception, hospitality, friendliness, and lovely hotel.
Review 51:Too many steps to go up and down for the breakfast.
Review 52:Nice view from the balcony. Kind and helpful owner.
Review 53:A bit noisy - evening on the tarrace you hear the road. Not a big problem though
Review 54:Dimitri is a great host. Nice terrace
Review 55:Location. Poor wifi in the rooms. Insects at night.
Review 56:Staff very friendly and big rooms.
Review 57:We really preferred a resort-style place right on the beach which Agnanti doesn't offer. The location was not bad, but was about 2Km from the main city.
Review 58:Genuinely friendly and helpful staff/owners.
Review 59:Lots of bugs! Screens on the windows would have helped, We did use the AC the last day and that helped. The beds were not comfortable...really hard and lump to sleep.
Review 60:The owner Demetri was so kind and helpful, he picked us up from the port, helped us get a car and drove us back to the port when we left the island.
Review 61:Staying at Agnanti hotel made us feel better than at home. We liked the mornings in the balcony, the spacious room and bathroom and the good service Agnanti has provided (cleaning service, wifi)
Review 62:Since we had the lowest appartment on the hill the street noise was clearly noticable but it did not disturb us too much. Spring mattress beds were a bit too hard for our taste. Rooms are big with lots of space but they feel almost a bit empty.
Review 63:Really friendly host takes great care of his guests with pickup service, organizing rentals, freshly baked cake in the morning and lots of great tips for restaurants, beaches, and places to visit. Thanks again for all the help! Good location just outside the busy center of Adamas. Although the apartment can be reached by bus, a rental car/quad/bike is advisable also to discover the island in general. Rooms and terrace are big with lots of space.
Review 64:You need a car or bike to properly explore the island and everything it has to offer. The bus routes schedules whilst extremely reliable are minimal and limiting. However there is a 24/7 taxi service available from most locations.
Review 65:The staff and the hotel owner gave us superb hospitality. They were extremely welcoming, knowledgable and helpful. The hotel itself was excellent value for money, and had lovely views overlooking the surrounding landscape. The hotel location was conveniently placed between the port and chora on a major bus route.
Review 66:Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent homemade marmelade for breakfast (especially the lemon flavour). Πολύ ευγενικό και δραστήριο προσωπικό μας βοήθησε σε ότι απορίες είχαμε. Φανταστική σπιτική μαρμελάδα λεμόνι για πρωινό.
Review 67:Room needs a little more fixes
Review 68:Location View Balcony decoration Friendly staff
