Reviews for Lagada Beach Hotel

Review 1:quad bike broke and left us stranded, also werent given the room we asked for for first two nights. no fruit salad for greek yoghurt at breakfast

Review 2:right on the beach front with swimming pool and hammocks. breakfast provided - rather good. very central to the port and shops

Review 3:No kettle in the room.

Review 4:Value for money. Hairdryer and fridge. Pool and beach. Could walk there from the ferry port. Close to restaurants and little town.

Review 5:No help to find my room or get suitcase up the flights of stairs . Breakfast was cafeteria style catering for the masses . Very basic rooms

Review 6:Wonderful pool to relax in at the end of a hot day

Review 7:Some of the receptionist was a Little bit rude.the standard room is not so confortable, expecially the bathroom. The breakfast wash rich but not all has good taste.

Review 8:The Hotel is located perfectly, near the center but in a quiet road. The pool and the beach are an added value. After a windy day on the beach it was great place to relax.

Review 9:Bathroom needs renovation.

Review 10:Good position, only few minutes walk far from the harbour of Adamas. Breakfast with buffet was simple but with plenty of food. The room had a terrace and a beautiful view to the sea.

Review 11:The beds were hard and uncomfortable and we were given one thin sheet each for covers. Everything was noisy to the plumbing to the air con which had a horrible sour smell when first switched on, and it kept turning on and off during the night. We could hear everything going on upstairs so fond it difficult to sleep On the last night, there was a wedding at the hotel and we could literally hear EVERYTHING. It went on to the early morning and we couldn't get any sleep and had an early departure the next day. Not worth the 75 euros a night.

Review 12:Great location right next to the port and the strip. Large bathroom.

Review 13:staff not among the most helpful. Just because the hotel description says AC, doesn't mean your room will be. Check the room description properly. No wifi in the part where I was staying.

Review 14:location, breakfast

Review 15:Bathroom too dark - lighting was awful Bed was far too hard Breakfast could be improved The chairs in the breakfast area made sooo much noise when moved and need to be changed.

Review 16:Excellent location Room nice and spacious and light Staff very friendly

Review 17:We booked an economy room because that's all that was left whenbooking and we were staying with a group! The room itself was basic butstill authentic Greek style with a cute little seaview, but the bathroomwas horrible, the shower area the worst with cracked tiles and grime, adirty curtain and not even an attachment for the shower head so had toshower upside down to avoid flooding the entire bathroom, not pleasant. It wouldn't cost much to fix this up to a reasonable more usablestandard, it essentially made our stay much more uncomfortable thanneeded. Also the pillows were horrible and so thin, we borrowed betterones from friends rooms so we could sleep, again not a big investmentbut would have made a big difference to our stay!

Review 18:Location, pool, breakfast

Review 19:I reserved a double bed room with with 4 months in advance and they couldnt put me in a room with double bed (wedding anniversary announced also in the time of the booking). The staff didnt do anything to solve the problem and not even a free drink or anything traking in cosideration this issue. Really bad wifi, doesnt work in the rooms, just when you are in the reception. They didnt make up our room during our 3 night stay. They never answer to the questions you ask them on the Booking app or by the booking webpage. Breakfast is not really good, basic things like juice run out quickly.

Review 20:Rooms are ok and clean when you arrive, the swimming pool is really good along with the bar next to it. Good location 3 min walk from the port and center of Adamas.

Review 21:I started getting bed bug bites on my second night there, which never happened to me before. When I warned the reception desk by showing them bites, they denied they were bed bugs of course (mosquitos just happened to bite me 10 times on the exact same spots, even though my friend and I found black dots on the couture of my bed) and changed immediately by bed. Nevertheless, bed bugs had also the time to infest my night clothes and my suitcase where I had put them, and I continued to be bitten several times even after I left Milos and had to take measures to prevent the infestation even to my own house when I got back. We are now one week after i left and I still got bites on 7 different places in my body. The hotel should take care of this problem and be more honest when facing a client who comes forward with it.

Review 22:If it werent for the bed bugs, everything was fine.

Review 23:Staff isn't very friendly, but anyhow if you ask for help, they will help you. The cleaning service was very poor, especially at the bathroom The breakfast could be much better.

Review 24:The location is amazing, few meters from Adamas center but far enough to rest without noise. The pool area and the private sector of the beach

Review 25:staff.. over 12 rooms checking in and 1 person doing it very slowly. Breakfast lady cooking had cigarette hanging out of her mouth. Everything was too hard for them. Breakfast not very good.

Review 26:Location was excellent and rooms and grounds lovely.

Review 27:very poor breakfast. expensive the old greek women owner who even didn't want to look at me at reception when I had an issue.

Review 28:swimming pool. at port

Review 29:The rooms were not really cosy and comfortable, but the terrace was nice.

Review 30:I liked the pool and the area around the pool. It had a good size and it was not too busy.

Review 31:Perfect location on the Beach in the city. Helpfull and fiendly staff. Nice pool aerea, good breakfast, and spacy, basic and clean appartment. We liked it very much, and will stay here again next time in Milos :-)

Review 32:The wifi was quite bad and the breakfast was not great

Review 33:The room was spacious and beautiful (traditional room). The pool, bar and other amenities were great to have for a holiday with friends. The location is wonderful as it is walking distance from the port without being too noisy or crowded.

Review 34:Staff were not obliging. Breakfast ordinary and slow set up when we needed an early start. Hard mattress on a concrete slab base.

Review 35:Location.pool. nice clean basic rooms

Review 36:The breakfast was OK. There could have been more fresh fruit, though there were fresh pastries and cakes replenished often.

Review 37:The resort is a simple 5-9min walk from the port! Not too close though so you are away from the arrivals and departures and don't get disturbed by the big ferries. There was a tennis court, table tennis and table football all free to use!

Review 38:the hotel is located close to the port, with swimming pool and private beach, choose a traditional Greek room as it looks very nice and often has a garden access, I will definitely go there again

Review 39:Really nice hotel with a helpfull and smiling staff all the way from reception, cleaning, breakfast (full breakfast included) and gardener. The hotel lies in a quiet location with a nice view to Lagada Bay at Adamas. We will come back to this place again :-)

Review 40:Cleaning was good except for shower drain as there was hair from another guests in there.

Review 41:Pool with sea water and bar. We could enjoy the greek beers on the pool with the sea view. Breakfast was good. Staff from the bar very attentive.

Review 42:Traditional room facing the sea and the small port made us fall in love with this hotel ! Staff Excellent-Manager Great! Pool really nice with "warm"salt water all We needed for 8 days of relax and the perfect position for the night life

Review 43:Very good location because close to port, bus station, etc. Clean rooms, friendly staff in reception and kitchen. Impressive trip with Andromeda ship around Milos.

Review 44:The swimming pool closed early.

Review 45:The location right at a beach. The size of the room. Guest computers + printer available for free Allowed me to check in at 11 am.

Review 46:The Attitude of reception staff was disgraceful. We were over 3 hours late getting into our room, I got wet paint on my hand and also on my wife's suitcase from wall and loud music kept us awake until after 5am due to a wedding. The staff's reactions to these matters was 'so what?' The rear door to the room was held closed with a flimsy latch and did not feel secure and the floor was utterly filthy.

Review 47:Location was brilliant, few mins from the port and centre of Adamas. Nice pool and breakfast. Bedding and towels changed regularly. Good value.

Review 48:The traditional room was amazing. The staff were very helpful and went beyond expectations. The pool at night was relaxing and warm. Short walk from port and center of restaurants and transport.

Review 49:Internet was slow, that was all I could comment on.

Review 50:I was surprised and pleased to see my room opened onto the beach, and then to realise it was the only one like that, others at my conference were in different hotels and had to walk to my beach to swim. Extras, like breakfast, wifi, swimming pool, office facilities, were free or cheap and readily available. It was just 2 minutes to walk to the port, the restaurants, the shops and the transport. the grounds and rooms were designed to make you feel on holidays, informal, simple, complete, clean and easy to clean.

Review 51:We booked a traditional double room, no a regular room. When we arrived they gave us a regular room, which is like bed&breakfast kind of a room. The staff did nothing to address the problem. Breakfast is like an army camp, and not clean at all. We strongly recommend not to go there. Waste of time and money.

Review 52:The location is good.

Review 53:Considering the price for this hotel in peak season I can't see how you could be unhappy. I thought it was great.

Review 54:Location outstanding. Pool outstanding. Value for money outstanding.

Review 55:Not really a complaint just and FYI we were on the second floor and there is not an elevator so you have to carry your suitcases up the stairs.

Review 56:Easy walk from ferry to hotel and hotel to town, we had a triple room with 3 twin beds, balcony, refrigerator, good sized bathroom, comfortable bed and good air conditioning. The grounds are well kept: there is a lovely pool, pool bar, outside couch seating and beach with chairs. The beach in front of the hotel is small and part of a public beach. Milos has some of the most beautiful beaches I have seen so don't limit yourself to this one. Hotel breakfast was good and included hot and cold varieties. Take the boat tour around the island this was fun and beautiful

Review 57:Reception staff weren't very helpful and man working at night was quite rude. Saw this with other customers too. Room was dirty and didn't get made up by a cleaner each day. Was given a twin room instead of a double. They said they would change us when there was space but didn't even though I saw them give other couples double rooms that came later

Review 58:Great location..very close to port and restaurants. Good breakfast Beautiful grounds and pool area

Review 59:Nothing

Review 60:3 minute walk to port and township, friendly service, pool very nice, hotel fronts onto swimming beach. Room was clean and basic. Bathroom old. Staff helpful. Excellent value for money.

Review 61:The room only had a fan which isn't adequate in the hot Greek summer. The bathroom was not in the nicest condition either.

Review 62:Beautiful hotel. Right on the sea front, a few minutes walk to the port. Hotel had a gorgeous swimming pool and access to a private beach area. Breakfast provided decent variety and the staff were all pleasant and helpful.

Review 63:The rooms are extremely basic and breakfast setting felt a bit like a school canteen.

Review 64:Very good location especially if you are arriving on a ferry, in walking distance from the Port and just right on the beach. Nice sized pool and pool area. The setting of the complex is cute with a lot of greenery.

Review 65:The wifi connection doesn't reach the bedrooms but this is a minor complaint.

Review 66:What a great hotel! Our room was huge and the bathroom too. Breakfast is included in the price and there was a variety of choice. The pool area feels very spacious and over looks the beach area.

Review 67:Reception Staff rude Rooms and beds old rundown tired Uncomfortable Everything smells of cigarette Bathroom terrible Not worth 30 euro a night

Review 68:Location

Review 69:Among the most expencive hotels in the area, but the hotel itself is nothing special. Horrible breakfast. Warm milk and strange tasting orange juice is not what you need to start the day. Staff does not make you feel very welcome, although they help you out if you ask for anything. No/very bad internet connection unless you are sitting in the lobby.

Review 70:Good location right at the local beach. Short distance to the harbour. Beach bar and pool.

Review 71:Our original room did not have air conditioning. We did not realize that unless explicitly stated, there would be no AC in the room. We paid an extra 45€ a night for a room with air conditioning and on the third night it stopped working, leaving us with a sweltering room. We still had to pay the extra 45€ and the staff mumbled something about letting them know, but they do have 24 hr reception.

Review 72:Location was perfect, near restaurants and port

Review 73:Be prepared! Beds are very firm!

Review 74:This hotel is literally walking distance from the port, terrific restaurants and tavernas, quality shopping venues and of course, Lagada Beach. Nikki, Nadia and Nancy of the staff were very nice and helpful. My room was large and well-appointed, and the bathroom was decorated with a lovely tile and outfitted with a large shower stall. To top it all off, I had a great view of the water from my balcony. Would definitely recommend!

Review 75:Hotel front manager was very rude and condescending. Our booking choice on Booking.com was a 'double room with sea view', this hotel also offers a 'double OR twin room with sea view', we choose the former 'double room with sea view' without the OR in it and paid extra for that choice. When we were checking in we were told we would have to move rooms during our stay in order to have a double room. We did not want to move for our last night and asked why the incoming guest could not take the other room and check into ours the next day. The front desk manager would not hear of that, no, we were to move and when asked why us the only reply the manager would give was because it was the 'hotels plan' and he would not even consider letting us remain in our room. The manager told us over and over again that we 'requested' a double room but that it is the hotels decision as to what room we get, their decision, what we booked on Booking.com didn't count it was the hotels decision what they would give us when we arrived. We were then told we could either move rooms or take a twin room for our whole stay without any real explanation as to why other than 'the hotels plan'. This whole conversation took place in such a dismissive and condescending manner that I seriously could not believe I was actually being treated with such disrespect as a customer. I live in Greece so I know how the Greek people converse, so it wasn't me just misunderstanding him and his way of speaking, he was just plain nasty! We ended up moving rooms, they literally threw us out of our room as the cleaning woman was entering the room at 10.30am before we were even ready to leave. Our new room, which we had to wait on, was leaking toilet water all over the floor and we had to put a towel down so that we didn't slip and fall. Having dealt with the front desk already we did not want to be upset any further so we put up with it.

Review 76:The bar staff were the only saving grace for this hotel, they treated their customers very well. The pool was very nice.

Review 77:on reservation we requested double bed,but was given single bed.roomtype did not look like pictures on booking.com site

Review 78:within walking distance of all amenities

Review 79:Pool and Pool Bar, Beach access, Nearby secluded trails for hiking, close to ferry port, close to center of town, plenty of parking, all around great place!

Review 80:All staff were great friendly and really helpful! Rooms were clean and tidy including the toilet. All staf were great especially nancy and also pool really clean. The best hotel in Milos by far. I definitely book again next year!

Review 81:Weak or no wifi in room. Staff at front desk were a bit rude. Some ants in room.

Review 82:Great location, nice pool. Had a good view from our room of the ocean.

Review 83:Rooms are very basic, breakfast limited choices, staff not extremely friendly, music at pool sometimes too loud and same tape over and over again. One night we were kept awake by party at the disco next door, some of the guys kept on partying at the pool and beach of the hotel. For 105 euro a night you can find better value (without pool that is but who cares). Friends stayed at a nearby hotel for 85 which was much nicer. Hotel looks like a good option for couples w young kids perhaps.

Review 84:The location of the hotel is right on the beach and only 5 minutes walking from the port w shops and restaurants

Review 85:no fresh fruit at breakfast

Review 86:in a room with no air con just a fan but was adequate for our needs. a spacious room with a balcony. lovely pool area and bar area and beach across road. only a few minutes walk from port.staff very friendly.did the coach trip round milos v good and a helpful guide.

Review 87:I didn`t like leaving.

Review 88:Everything, I simply could not fault The Lagada Beach hotel, ALL the staff were sooo friendly and helpful, they couldn`t do enough for you when asked for anything. I would definately return there.

Review 89:The bathroom; holding your shower head in the hand is not what you expect from a hotel...

Review 90:The location, just a little bit away from the port The beach, the pool..

Review 91:Terrible service, bad tennis court, they gave us two single beds instead of a double one. And they refused to change our room..

Review 92:Nice location, pool, ping pong table

Review 93:Poolside bar was over-priced. Beds were rather hard. Fridge didn't work properly. No tea/coffee making facilities. Chairs were quite worn.

Review 94:The location being very near the beach. Lovely friendly staff. Nice buffet breakfast with good choice of food. Excellent facilities including tennis and table tennis plus a large pool. Close to the port ( 2 minutes) Near town. 4 minutes to excursion buses.

Review 95:The "private patio" on room 207 is everything but private. Despite of addressing the problem to the personnel they claim that we had bad luck for the "false information" and that they couldn't do anything about the mishap.

Review 96:Location, pool.

Review 97:There was only one item that I didn't like during the stay was that reception takes and holds on to your passport until checkout, but i wasn't complaining because that then cancelled out the need for a deposit which would have cost me in international fees.

Review 98:Great place to stay, literally only 1-2 mins walk from the Milos ferry. Very Family Friend hotel, the beach is only metres from your door, the pool and bar area is fantastic with music always playing and the pool is larger enough not to feel weird swimming with other people. The walk around to the shops is really nice with many selection of bars, restaurants and booking agencies for day activities. I highly recommend this hotel, it made my holiday.

Review 99:Unfortunately the internet isn't very strong and drops out continually.

Review 100:Sensational location. gorgeous pool. Rooms are clean and good for the money. Would definitely return. it's nice and close to the port Nd restaurants too. great value

Review 101:put a bit far from lobby, and in probably the only room with no private porch or balcony, despite hotel seeming to be mostly empty

Review 102:adorable blue and white room, decent breakfast with large spread, large pool, easy walking distance to port and restaurants

Review 103:Close from the port

Review 104:Nil

Review 105:A short walk to ferry & town centre, great view s from balcony , lovely beach & pool, wonderful food closeby

Review 106:I dont like the room

Review 107:I like the location

Review 108:The simplicity and traditional look of the rooms.

Review 109:Beds a little soft, room a little damp, shower doesn't drain properly

Review 110:Great location only a few minutes from port and town...very convenient!

Review 111:Great location

Review 112:nothing

Review 113:The swimming pool, the geographic situation, the staff, the price, included breakfast. I loved this place!

Review 114:Close to town, and still quiet. A very nice property. First in line to the beach, not the very best beach - but ok. Nice pool and garden areas.

Review 115:Breakfast too basic

Review 116:Great location. Wonderful swimming pool. Nice atmosphere

Review 117:The rooms are the worst we have ever seen

Review 118:Only the outside places are nice, pool etc

Review 119:Very good location, clean rooms and friendly staff.

Review 120:No wifi in the room.

Review 121:The pool and beach.

Review 122:Wifi was terrible

Review 123:Great location, right next to the port, friendly and amazing staff

Review 124:Loved the location, and the pool was great, so was the outdoor seating

Review 125:Wifi didn't work so good.

Review 126:The guy at breakfast sid a very good job.Lokation was great.

Review 127:everything

Review 128:rooms not renovated, no aircondition, the windows could not open, the door of the bathroom could not close

Review 129:The entry way to the rooms smelled awful - no idea why. But we were pretty shocked by it.

Review 130:Good location, great beach and a beautiful pool.

Review 131:Mattresses too hard

Review 132:Location and beach

Review 133:Not enough sunbeds at the pool. No hot water in the room. Poor breakfast. Wifi = nightmare

Review 134:Good location , nice rooms, quiet
