Review 1：On a rainy September evening warm water is needed. This was the most serious. TV was not included in the room and the curtain color simply did not do its job. (Daylight would wake us up & we were on vacation!) Car is needed for moving around. The fact that the hotel provided help on resolving the rental issue is a plus. Wifi was on the lobby and on the balcony only.
Review 2：Room was rather large for two people. It was being cleaned on a daily basis along with the sheets and the towels. View was nice and the fact that airconditioning & small fridge were included is a plus. Bathroom was large. Old but decent considering its price
Review 3：The breakfast was repetitive, the towels were worn, and the shower head did not fix to the wall.

Review 5：The safety deposit box is next to the frontdesk, not in the rooms. Myself and other guests I spoke to noticed that sums of 20-30 euros were missing from our money every other day, so we removed it from the boxes. I actually wrote down a running total each time I took money out so know there was no mistake.
Review 6：Afandou Sky Hotel is a perfect place for your rest. It’s a quiet place with a wonderful landscape from your windows. Apartments are comfortable – always clean, with a good conditioner. For breakfast we had a very tasty and various food. Also we want to say a few words about hotel’s staff. The first man, who’ll meet you, is an administrator Kyriakos. It’s a person, who smiles all the time and he makes you smile too, he always was interested in every quest. We would like to express especial thank to Kyriakos, that he was our personal guide. He showed us an amazing and unbelievable beautiful place of the Rhodes Island. And of course we wanted to thank all the team of the Afandou Sky Hotel. They’re very hospitable, kind and cheerful people, who always help you. When after very eventful and active day, which you spent in different place of the Rhodes Island, you return to the Afandou Sky Hotel, you always wanted to say: “Ohh, my sweet home!” Perhaps, it’s the most impossible. Review 7：Location is great by walking by feet is a little tiring - hotel is on the top of the hill, from the centre or bus stop after all day can be problem, small area for child in the pool (from 1m depth up to 2,6m)

Review 18：The breakfast is very cheap quality, could be improved with real coffee and orange juice, real bread, some butter, honey and cheese. The outside lighting of the hotel looks like the village festivities and unfortunately the curtains doesn't hide the light. It would be nice to have better curtains or to turn off the lights at night! Be advised that you might not have hot water late at night as during the summer they use sun panels.

Review 21：I have stayed together with my wife and my dog 10 days and wish it could have been more.Giannis,Kyriakos,Michalis and Stamatis are very friendly ,can assist you in anything you need 24/7.The hotel is very clean and in very good location even it is around 1-2 km far from the beach, Afantou is the best place to swim with crystal clear waters.Also the location of the hotel is perfect as you are only 5km away from Faliraki and Tsambika beaches and in between Rhodes and Lindos.In 10 days i went around the island and i wouldnt choose another spot to stay in terms of location, value for money hotel and friendly stuff!!!Even My Jack Russell is also depressed leaving Rhodes & Afantou Sky and arriving back to Switzerland :P Will be back in September hopefully!!!

A great bar area and HUGE pool made for time spent in the hotel relaxing and fun, especially post dinner when after drinks at the bar became an unmissable event. Review 30：We found 2 cockroaches in the room and the manager didn t even offer to change our room or at least apologize. The hotel was in no case worth 3 stars, it was really hard to find and the breakfast was really poor.at the day we were leaving the manager tried to charge us 70 euro Extra for breakfast although we had already paid for it.the room was cleaned only every second or third day. One of the worst hotels i ve ever been to. I hope this Review helps future guests and hopefully contributes to the improvement of the hotel. wir haben 2 Kakerlaken im Zimmer gefunden und der Manager hat sich nicht mal entschuldigt oder gefragt ob wir das Zimmer wechseln wollen.Das Hotel war auf gar keinen Fall 3 Sterne wert, es war wirklich schwer zu finden und das Fruehstueck war sehr arm. Am Tag an dem wir auschecken wollten hat der Manager uns gefragt 70 euro Extra fuers fruestueck zu zahlen obwohl wir schon dafuer gezahlt hatten als wir die Reservierung gemacht hatten. Das Zimmer wurde jeden zweiten oder dritten Tag gereinigt.Eins der schlimmsten Hotels, die ich je besucht hab. Ich hoffe dass diese Evaluierung zukuenftigen Gaesten hilft und hoffentlich dazu beitraegt, dass sich das Hotel bessert. Βρήκαμε 2 κατσαρίδες στο δωμάτιο. Ο ιδιοκτήτης όχι μόνο δεν απολογήθηκε και δεν πρότεινε να μας αλλάξει δωμάτιο αλλά το σχόλιό του ήταν το εξής: δεν θα σας φάνε κιόλας!!!! Το ξενοδοχείο σε καμία περίπτωση δεν αξιολογείται ως 3 αστέρων, η καθαριότητα ήταν ελλιπής, το δωμάτιο καθαριζόταν κάθε 2 με 3 ημέρες. το πρωινό ήταν φτωχό, το ξενοδοχείο ήταν δύσκολα προσβάσιμο. Υπάρχουν βασικές ελλείψεις στο δωμάτιο όπως ψυγειάκι και τηλεόραση (το ψυγειάκι χρεώνεται έξτρα). Ενώ το πρωινό περιλαμβανόταν στην τιμή, την ημέρα που κάναμε check out ο ιδιοκτήτης μας ζήτησε να πληρώσουμε 70 ευρώ Extra για το πρωινό. Γενικώς ένα από τα χειρότερα ξενοδοχεία που έχω επισκεφθεί. Η περιγραφή αυτή αποσκοπεί στην ενημέρωση των υποψήφιων επισκεπτών ή ακόμα καλύτερα στη βελτίωση των παροχών του ξενοδοχείου.

Review 32：I personally think that rating of over 8 is too high for this hotel. Or maybe hotel standards on Rhodes are so low that any decent hotel gets a high rating. Sure, Afandou Sky offers great balcony view and a pool, but other than that it's very basic. No TV, fridge or coffee machine. Often no warm water in the shower. Toilet paper has to be thrown in a special trash can (yuck!) - like almost everywhere on Rhodes. Room cleaning (incl. trash emptying) only every 2nd day. Towels are apparently changed only if you through them on the floor (nobody told us). In addition, our bathroom window was broken and we could see the ugly ventilation tunnel behind it.
Review 33：Great view from the balcony (either the sea side or the town)! Helpful staff. Clean room. Breakfast is served outside, on a nice terrace near the pool. It includes toasts with bacon&cheese, bread, butter, different spreads, water melon, lemonade and coffee or tea.

I have many words to say how much we like our stay on Rhodes island, hotel's helped us to feel comfortable and free, we felt it as home when come back from journeys around the island. 10 out of 10, excellent!

Review 40：It is a long walk to the beach, not just 10 min. The breakfast was ok, but the same every time, which is too much for a eight day stay. The air conditioning in our room was broken, it dripped really badly, so we couldn't use it for more than 10 min.

Review 69：i travel a lot but what i experienced at Afandou Sky was absolutely extraordinary! i might just write about the fabulous views, delicious food, spacious rooms or that big and clean pool. yet, what was so unique and beyond expectations, was the crew. they greeted me by my name from day one, were extremely helpful and polite, caring, attentive, providing everything i might need before i even expressed my needs. making me feel welcomed right from the beginning and to the very end of my stay. moreover, they were treating me like a good friend, rather than a random guest who just comes and goes. i saw that many other people staying at the hotel shared my good impressions and enjoyed their time a lot. no wonder - the atmosphere was just amazing. keep up the good work, guys! you made my holiday very relaxing and...unforgettable :) thank you so much!
Review 70：The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The products served for the breakfast were very fresh. At the Hotel there is a restaurant where you can order something to eat for very reasonable price. If I could be back in Rhodes I would choose this hotel again.

Review 72：The staff at Afandou sky were fantastic. Very happy to help with transport and car/scooter rental, they would even get you food and cigarettes or anything you wanted delivered up to the hotel! We went during the world cup and had a great time watching the football with them in the lovely bar by the pool. The rooms were lovely, very clean, great new air conditioning and lovely views (we had a sea view but the view of the town was just as nice). It's a great location to get to Rhodes and Lindos on public transport, although if you wanted to visit other places renting a car or scooter for the day would be necessary and fairly cheap (around 25-30 euros). It is a bit of a walk to the beach but when you get there the beach is beautiful. In the town there are a number of lovely restaurants, sergios was our favourite and four seasons was great and very reasonable (25 euros for a meal for two with beer and wine). Most of all the people were great, on our last day our flight was very late and they let us leave our bags and hang out by the pool and watch the football. They even let us take a wee shower in the evening. So if you went a nice (HOT) holiday with the beach and a nice quiet town as a good base to see some other sites I can't recommend Afandou sky highly enough.
Review 73：I hoped there would have been more brochures (map from rhodes city, bus timetables somewhere on sight, a list of sightseeings or 'what to do's' in the island, a map from the island you can take with you etc.) I believe the kitchen would be busier in the Hotel, of they would serve more pool -type snacks /more traditional greek food etc, but all the food seemed to include lots of white bread. Sometimes the hotel staff was very busy, i believe with better organization their job would become easier. Overall I would definetly visit this Hotel again! :)

The location was good, it Was easy to take a bus to bigger places, the view from the room was amazing. The Hotel is nice and located 1-2 km from the beach (easily walkable) and 10 min walk to bus stop and Afandou villages restaurants. good hotel for couples and the hotels dog is awesome. The owners are very nice and friendly and take care that all the customers are enjoying their arat. I definetly recommend the Hotel for couples whos main goals is not to get waisted and party all the time, but Actually enjoy the peace and quite and relax :)

Review 77：Cleanliness is not up to standard - it was quite dirty in the bathroom. The room was okay for one night, because of the price, but sometimes it is better to pay a little more. We got the impression that the hotel was quite empty for its size, despite of the high season.

Review 79：Afandou Sky is an excellent choice, if you are looking to have nice relaxing beach holiday on a very reasonable price. The hotel is on a hill, the 5km long beach is 20 min away on foot. Afantou is halfway between the capital and Lindos the two biggest attractions, so it's quite easy to have fun at those crowded places and also enjoy the quiet and harmony of Afantou. The food at the hotel was very good, better than the restaurants in the village. Hats off to the chef. The staff is very kind and helpful, they want you to have a good time. We did, and I'm sure you will too.

Review 81：The hotel was recently renovated inside and outside by the pool , the manager Mr John was very helpful and always willing to answer any of your questions.The hotel is situated on a top of a hill with the best views i have ever seen in my life.12 minutes on foot to the beach and 1 min on foot to the village , but if u choose to stay in the hotel the guys at the bar will be very amusing and they wont let u down.

Review 83：From the moment I walked into the lobby and was greeted at Reception by Yianni saying " hello Christine " with a warm smile, I felt welcomed, and with this greeting started the rest of a fantastically wonderful stay. The rest of the staff are amazing too and speak both Greek & English and other languages fluently and are also very knowledgeable. Our room did not have a TV so I felt a little perturbed by that, but from the first night, sitting down near the bar, my husband & I ( as well as the other guests ) were entertained mainly by Yiannis brother, Kyriakos, with his laughter and his stories. also taking time to listen to whatever myself, my husband or other guests had to say. My husband and I as well as the other guests, felt very relaxed and part of a big family, and every evening looked forward to having dinner and mingling with both staff and guests MAGIC !! The food is prepared with love, and it shows. Never had lunch there as we were sightseeing during the day, so I can't comment on Lunch. But seeing as breakfast and dinner were beautiful I would assume lunch is too The hotel is set on the outskirts of the village of Afantou. It's a very short walk to the center of the village itself, but it's also very close to the beach. On one side of the hotel you have the view of the village,and at night, when all the village lights are on, the village looks very pretty, while on the other you have the magnificent view of the beach. After a day of sightseeing, feeling hot and quite tired, we had our drinks at the bar or took a dip in the pool and then relax on the deck chairs. At night it is lovely and quiet so there is no problem sleeping My husband & I will most certainly go back to this wonderful hotel next time we're in Rhodes Thank you so much guys, we will miss you

Review 91：When I first arrived, they weren´t quite ready and not everything was in place, which led to some uncertainties and practical difficulties, but this rapidly altered after people started arriving after this reopening, reinvigoration... and they made up for it with friendliness and kindness.
Review 92：Afandou Sky is a wonderful Hotel. It is a classic lovely real hotel, which is built on lovely solid foundations. It is a real building like a real home, but in the style of Hotel California or Malloolaba in Queensland. Just relaxing soft and comforting. The new generation have renovated it and repainted the building , so it is all fresh and in classic Greek ( blue Ocean, agios Nikolaos, and white and lots of greenery and lighting at night). They are real human beings, and genuine, wanitng to help you with anything they can. And with genuine filoxénia. It is set in a saddle, between the beach and the village, which is, as far as real villages go: a fairy tale.It is a very relaxing place. Like holidays used to be before they became just packages and units. It is the perfect place if you are a real human being, and want to stay with real people who know hospitality and chilling.
