Review 2：Location is perfect, rooms are very clean and comfortable and filled with great coffee apliances, coffee and tea, we even had beer in fridge. Seva, Kristos and Vangelis was so friendly and helpful and sincere. We felt like home

Review 5：We arrived late at night (around 23:30) and we were welcomed by the owner who spent a considerable amount of time helping us understand everything. This continued throughout our stay as the guys were consistently helpful and welcoming holding high the flag of Greek hospitality! Studio was good value for money, well equipped and clean. Strategic location as it is situated approximately midway between Rhodes city and Lindos town (approx. 30 minutes by car) therefore having a car is very beneficial.

Review 7：The family is very nice and cheerful. They also upgraded our reservation without any extra cost, giving us a big apartment with a beautiful terrace! We enjoyed our stay very much. Excellent position, very close to the best beaches of Antony Quinn and Traganou. The owner always suggested good restaurants and trips along the island. Every thing was perfect!!

Review 9：Chris, vangelli and the rest of the family were very friendly and welcoming. The apartment was spotless with great facilities and especially a great bathroom, kitchen and balcony!

Review 11：Very friendly, tactful owners and nice people to talk with. If you are looking for leisurely holidays with family or friends and want to experience a real local greek atmosfphere, Afantou is the right place to stay. The beach is pretty close (abt 3-5 min. to drive), traffic is easy, all around you find good tavernas, cafes and grocery shops where you can buy all you need till late evening. Very practical place from where you can explore the island. Our opinion - don't bother taking GPS with you, the orientation is really easy, the map is enough. Many of local people speak English or German, no problem with communication.

I think that is just what you get when you stay here because it is family run, its the level of care and a genuine interest in making your stay as enjoyable as possible! They were happy to help with anything I needed and just made my holiday that much better. More importantly, I just felt welcome and it was great to chat to them. Genuinely provided everything I required and more. Hoping to return on my next trip to Rhodes!

Review 16：It's not a fashionable hotel, but it's the best family apartment as I know. High apartment quality with everything you need. Bed lines and towels are changed every 3 days. A quite room, a small library at the hall, a small nice territory around, a cozy bar. A little bit far from the sea, so it could be difficult without car or moped or motocycle. The shop is in about 5-7 min by walk, one more 5-7 min by car (bigger the first). Very clean sea, no waves, pebble beach without lots of people, with shower and small cafe. The friendliest staff as I know. Good place for carefree holidays.
Review 17：Nothing really...! Not sure about public transports in Afandou, but since it's not a big town like Rhodes I would probably recommend hiring a car/motorbike to have more freedom of movement.
Review 18：Everything. The host family taking care of the apartments are extremely helpful and make you feel at home. We were given plenty of useful advice on what to visit or where to eat out and we also socialised while watching the football on tv. They are always happy to chat and help you with whatever you might need. We booked a studio flat, but we were upgraded for free to a 2 bedrooms flat: this has two good size bedroom and a separate pretty big living room with kitchen facilities. Both bedrooms have spacious balconies where you can eat or just chill out. The flat was kept very clean throughout our stay. There is also private parking within the hotel. The location is excellent if you want to stay in a quiet, not too touristic village; you can easily drive to Rhodes/Lindos or anywhere else in the island. The nearby beach is a 5 minutes drive. There are also some restaurants within walking distance in the town, or within a few minutes drive too. We never cooked so can't say much on kitchen facilities, but I guess they do their job. In a nutshell, excellent value for money and would definitely recommend a stay with Christos, Vangelis and mum in Scala apartments!

Review 25：This is defenitely the hotel for those who does not like all-included-huge-brand-five-star-hotels-near-beach. Scala is rather convinient placed atop of small hill which gives excelent view to Afandou city (and even stipe of sea) and also gives very good air flow with no need to use conditioner during the night. This if family-run hotel with great hospitality and nice attitude. Just ask those people and they are eager to help you with different matters. You need to have a car to live in this hotel. Walk time to Afandou beach is 25 minutes (or 3 minutes drive). Walk time to Afandou city center is about 20 minutes (again 2 minutes by car). There is a hill slope nearby so you need to have a car unless you are very strong hiker. Rhodes city drive time 30 minutes, airport drive time 30 minutes, Lindos drive time 40 minutes. Haraki beach (15 minutes drive) is most convinient for those with small children and it's less popolated and with sand.

Review 31：The friendly owners at Scala went out of there way to make sure our stayexceeded all our expectations. From the phone call the day before tomake sure we knew how to find the property, the welcome drinks in ourapartment and the expert advice of things to do during our stay (many ofwhich were not in the guidebook) we felt like we were staying with goodfriends instead of hotel owners. The apartment itself was a good sizefor 4 people and we loved the balcony area overlooking the town, we hadbreakfast here every morning and evening drinks even in March! Afandouis a lovely town, a real place instead of only a tourist resort withmany little tavernas to choose from, perfect if you don't just want"England in the sun"! We loved our stay in Rhodes and ifreturned would definitely choose Scala apartments again.
