Review 1：The hosts at 'The Bear', Sian and Gwil offer a warm and friendly welcome. The ancient building has been recently refurbished, keeping and restoring original features, and the bedrooms are superbly clean, bright and comfortable.The breakfast is delicious, and there are several places just a few steps away to find an evening meal. Perfect.

Review 9：Fabulous small guesthouse. Ideal for our purposes , base for travelling locally. Sian and Gwil were lovely hosts and made us very welcome. Accommodation was spotless and had only recently been refurbished. Our room was perfect and had a superb en-suite bathroom with power shower. Gwil you are a pro chef-the breakfasts were a delight to eat and set us up for the day. At the end of the day we could settle in the bar with the locals. Overall great in all areas, we would love to return.

Review 13：Sian went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. The rooms are superb and the bar is welcoming. Surrounded by a choice of superb local restaurants, this establishment is a must if you want a little private luxury.
Review 14：We had the family room which was the only one left when we booked it the day before our stay. It was £27 more expensive than the other rooms and although it was lovely and spacious, there were still only two of us using it. However, I would not change the rating of my stay because of this, I would just try and book earlier next time!
Review 15：We arrived earlier than check-in time but were made welcome and as the room was ready we checked in. Gwil and Sian were friendly and recommended local places to visit and eat. The rooms had recently been refurbished and were absolutely lovely. Very close to the Elan Valley trail which we cycled to visit the dams.
Review 16：Rooms could do with a light either side of the bed and a hairdryer in the room. Breakfast would be much better if cereal, tea etc buffet style and a menu on the table. Also fruit, yogurt, baked beans and fried bread should be offered!

Review 20：We were going to the Royal Welsh Show and were looking for a one night stay with breakfast. Sian and Gwil were a lovely friendly bubbly couple. The Bed was extremely comfortable, everything was very clean, truly a Welsh Pearl! Excellent I would recommend The Bear!
