Hotel Interstar sells fast on our site. Surrounded by a large garden with a petting zoo, this 4-star hotel is only 650 feet on foot from the Schönleiten Ski Lift and 1.2 miles from the centre of Saalbach. It offers a spa area and free WiFi, and each room has a balcony and a kitchenette.
Spa facilities at the Interstar include a steam bath, a Finnish sauna, a herbal sauna, a plunge pool, and a hot tub. Guests can also use a modern fitness centre and a relaxation room.
The spacious rooms at Hotel Interstar are furnished in an elegant Alpine style and feature a minibar, CD and DVD players, satellite TV with over 180 international programmes, and a bathroom.
The restaurant serves Austrian and international cuisine, including a selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Various dietary requirements can be accommodated.
Arabic-language information folders are provided, and the hotel offers halal dishes and a shisha service.
An indoor playroom and a playground with a trampoline are provided for children. Campfires are organised regularly in summer. The garden includes a football pitch for free use by guests, as well as a walking path along a small stream. As of May 2016, guests can rent up to 2 black minivans (9-seater) on site.

Review 1：Food was very average, meats quite often from previous days, poor selection of bread, expensive wines (EUR 28+). Quite small spa, no swimming pool.

Review 2：Location is very good, next to bus stop, can ski to the hotel snow permitting. Good size rooms, very clean. Good internet coverage.

Review 9：Thought the light didnt work in room along with the fridge. The light did infact work but the fridge didnt and wasnt sorted out despite us requesting it tobe so couldnt store any cold drink are chocolates we bought dissapointing considering the price of the rooms :( little disapointed choice of evening meals.

Review 20：Bar area still allows smoking!!! Location for skiers with small children could be a problem. The nearest lift is a 10 minute walk or a wait for a bus (every 20 mins)

Review 22：The location is on quite place, but close to the lift and return is possible right to the hotel on skis. Staff is very friendly. Interior is very nicely design, a perfect combination of wood and modern architecture.

Review 23：The permission to smoke in the bar. For non-smokers it seems that the smoke gets everywhere, even in the rooms in the second floor.

Review 24：A modern and brave style of the hotel. Comfortable and roomy family apartments with a small kitchenette. We even had a infrared sauna in the room :) It was never used as a sauna, it was more as a additional space for a lot of things of 4 persons. An additional wardrobe instead the sauna would be ok for the family. Dinners were very good, breakfast TOP, restaurant very cozy. Wellness center very spacey, different types of saunas, everybody will enjoy something. In general, we liked our stay in the Hotel Interstar very much and can recommend it for others.

Review 26：I liked the staff very much, Mr. Hassan was very helpful and was very welcoming. We reached the hotel after midnight and the staff was waiting for us and prepared a nice dinner for us. They cooked special food for us because we are muslims and eat Halal food. Breakfast and dinner buffets were very nice Location is very close to ski spots

Review 27：The food was amazing, really varied menu over a week of half board. The staff were great fun, especially Vladi and Manuel! You can even ski down to the hotel.

Review 28：Wifi needed a router restart in our room and while browing the web was fine, email wouldn't work on my phone and tablet. Additional charges were silly - EUR 5 per person for bathrobe rental. EUR 4 for a small bottle of water that's already in your room as a welcome package. Or EUR 2 or 3 for the paper slippers for spa. Water heater didin't work properly even after it was fixed according to the reception. The water heater seemed to have a mind of its own - 30 seconds of scorching hot water followed by 2 mins of cold and then hot again or you could spend 5 minutes waiting for hot water. Not what I expected from a 4 star hotel. Location is ok, you need to walk 300-400m to the lift or take the skibus for 1 stop. You can ski-in to the hotel, the long piste is pretty good but it gets icy and full of moguls by the end of the day. Instead, I would suggest having a few drinks at apres ski in Saalbach and just taking a skibus to the hotel.

Review 29：Excellent staff, very helpful and well manered. Great food, both dinners and breakfasts were well prepared with good variety. Spa was clean and well equipped.

Review 30：Staff not so friendly . It is not a ski out hotel but need to walk to lift or catch a bus . It is only a ski in hotel. Spa / wellness bit limited And no access to pool at all. No connections with other hotels to share facilities. One hour walk to Saalbach or travel by ski bus but stops running at 5pm and taxi costs extortionate 15 euros to town for 5 min journey. No dressing gowns , toiletries offered , pillows v poor, food was going out of date a few times with slightly fermented fruit etc. However it is a good place to stay for skiing as peaceful and calm. However a little more could be done to make it even better .

Review 33：We were there for a week to celebrate a birthday and they provided complimentary room upgrade and made the day special with extra touches. Excellent selection of high quality food, loved the free bikes, and easy access to ski lifts and scenic hiking trails. Exceptional staff who make you feel at home.

Review 34：- Cigarette smoke carried over into ground floor (breakfast/dining rooms, lobby, aisles) from the centrally located bar at most times of day. Strong smoke during breakfast and especially during dinner time was particularly unpleasant. Without this, I could recommend this hotel >100% but for us it disturbed a bit the otherwise excellent impession of the place.

Review 35：- Very cordial, friendly and attent service- Reception staff very supportive - International guests (during our stay mainly German and Arabic) - Conveniently located, with the Saalbach valley bus stopping almost in front of the hotel. Calm and beautiful setting despite close to main valley street. However, probably not the best location for "aprés ski" activities in winter. - Friendly young owner present personally to take care of guests. - Room furniture is not brand new but well maintained and cleaned. Spacy room. - Well equipped fitness room - Dinner: Superior quality, choice and variety of dishes. No repetition during our stay; variation of typical Austrian dishes and international cuisine, with a specific theme for each evening (italian, steak, fish,...). Special wishes were readily fulfilled. Stellar ! - Breakfast: Choice / quality exceeds that of many European 4* hotels. Tasty self-baked bread. Fresh fruit and pastry available at both breakfast and dinner. Top !

Review 66：The dinner was below my expectations! The salad and soup as a starter was good, but the main course was dry and really tasteless.

Review 68：We had booked a family room but accidentally put on the form that we were only two people instead of four. Without consulting us, the hotel changed our booking to a (very small) double room. With two small children, the room was incredibly cramped. They did their best to switch us back to a family room (which was very spacious) but we had to spend half our stay in the much smaller room. I don't think it's fair to switch a reserved room for a smaller one without consulting the guest in advance.

Review 70：- outrageous costs for minor services that you get for free everywhere else ( 2 eur/day to use the safe from the room, 5 eur/hour internet which does not even work at a decent speed) - location is a quite far from Saalbach. The skibus is fine for skiing, but it only runs until 17:00. No super-market in the near-by area.
