Review 15:This guest house is in a wonderful position overlooking the harbour and river. If you are lucky you may be able to park outside the property (very limited space). The hosts, (Julie & Ben) were extremely friendly and welcoming on arrival. The room we had was A1 , very comfortable bed, excellent view over harbour with 2 easy chairs for taking in the view or watching the large wall fitted TV. There is a good breakfast choice of menu apart from the excellent full english breakfast offered. We certainly look forward to staying here again at sometime. We wish Julie & Ben every success for their future.
Review 16:The owners were shortly to redecorate and carry out maintenance. This will lift the property which they have not owned for long.
Review 17:I loved being able to look at the harbour and its boats from the bed. Hosts were great, breakfasts and free scones were good. Nice people too.
Review 18:Nothing.

Review 21:Honestly, everything. Even before we arrived the hosts were calling to explain about parking, then we had to change our booking last minute and they helped by calling round other places for us. When we arrived they had tea/coffee,biscuits, scones and clotted cream all complimentary waiting for us. So so comfortable and homely. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you Little Mainstone

Downstairs lounge comfortable, with books, tv and tea/coffee to hand. Very high standard of decoration throughout the building. Breakfast excellent, with good variety and quality. Breakfast room very pleasant; some tables in conservatory. Good value for money, very pleasant hospitality. Easy access to Looe, parking available on site, easy walk to public transport. Review 37:Ben and Julie were the perfect hosts, lovely couple who obviously love what the do. The guesthouse was over looking the harbour, it was spotlessly clean, great breakfast, parking on the doorstep. A 3 minute walk over the bridge to shops and loads of eateries , then 2 minute walk through town centre ( lovely cobbled streets) to a beautiful beach. Hoping to book next year when we have our first grandchild with us, perfect place for families. We will book the rooms at the front, which have a lovely harbour view.
Review 38:Hosts were very welcoming and helpful. My husband had injured his leg that morning and we arrived somewhat distressed after driving through pouring rain all day. Review 66:The husband and wife team were so welcoming and accommodating - particularly after 26 hour journey from Australia and two sick children. The beds were super comfortable, the location picturesque (it even had free parking!) and the generous English breakfast a true credit to them. Thank you for the beautiful experience !

Review 69:Everything, next time we visit we would like a front bedroom over looking the quay, but we booked late this time so had the only room left, small but adequate, just a bit dark but not a lot could be done about that.
Review 70:Room was quite small, not allowing for luggage.
Review 71:Bed was a good size and comfortable. Breakfast was good and variety. Easy access to town and walks. Friendly and obliging hosts.
Review 72:The fact we couldn't stay for longer.

Review 74:breakfast was very good quality and well prepared. Julie and Ben were excellent hosts - helpful with suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. Would certainly re-book next time we're in the area.
Review 75:Perfect location right on the quay. My room had a bay window overlooking the water- what a view! The hosts are outstanding- could not do enough to make our stay 10/10.

Review 78:No dislikes!
Review 79:The proprietors, Julie and Ben, were delightful! Friendly and helpful from arrival to departure. The Mainstone is well-placed with lovely views across to East Looe. Our room (5) was of a good size and had a cosy sitting area in the bay window, looking out over the river/harbour. Although the road was immediately outside the window, there was no disturbance. Breakfast was excellent! A perfect stay!
Review 80:There was nothing to dislike really, our room was a bit dated but was told this was the last room they had to refit, but it was still nice and the view spot on.
Review 81:Ben met us at the door and both he and his wife made us feel very welcome. The price was half what we had paid at a hotel the previous night but was much better, I would recommend this place to any traveller.

Review 91:We were aware of music from the neighbouring pub but the sea air ensured a good night sleep
Review 92:Lucky with the weather in March, the armchairs in the large room were perfect to enjoy the view of the water over a cup of tea. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast more than adequate.
Review 93:nothing
Review 94:For the money we paid, it was ex, location superb ,within walking distance to everyting hosts made you feel very welcome and a lovely choice of breakfast
Review 95:Ben and Julie were excellent, attentive hosts, where nothing was too much bother. Great full English that wasn't swimming in grease - I described it as being a very 'clean' looking breakfast. Great location, with free parking - which is somewhat of a unique selling point in Looe. Give it a go, you will not be disappointed.
Review 96:I was in Room 4, and it was so small with a double bed in it. Also, there was absolutely no view as it backed on a high wall. In particular, there was nowhere to sit, apart from on the bed. Definitely ask for one of the larger front rooms that overlook the harbour.
Review 97:This B&B has a lovely location across from the picturesque harbour. The owners are great, and nothing is too much trouble for them. The place is spotlessly clean.
Review 98:They were both really lovely and friendly. It was my partners birthday and they were so sweet and put up birthday bunting in our room. That was very thoughtful
Review 99:Julie & Ben made us welcome as soon as we arrived, the room was great with lovely views and the food was excellent, looking forward to going back.

Review 101:The new owners have completed a substantial modernisation programme over the winter. New beds, shower and bathroom facilities in a number of rooms. Breakfast great with good menu range. Very clean throughout. This will definitely be our No1 choice next time we stay in Loo.
Review 102:Friendly owners where nothing was too much trouble, excellent breakfast, new comfy beds for a great nights sleep and a hot power shower with endless hot water. Better than many expensive hotels we have stayed in.
Review 103:On the water front, plenty of places to eat and drink in walking distance, free parking and WI FI. Very clean comfortable rooms, I was surprised how quiet it was, also a great breakfast.
Review 104:It was a lovely setting nice and close to town, but on the quiet side of the harbor. The bed in room 3 was large and very comfortable and the new shower was luxurious. The room over looked the harbor and the view was beautiful. The breakfast was great and the hosts were very friendly and helpful.
Review 105:The stay wasn't long enough.
Review 106:We were given a warm welcome from Ben & Julie. There is nothing I can find fault with. The food, the service, the cleanliness and nothing was to much trouble. Highly recommended, we will definitely tell our family and friends.

Review 108:Made to feel very welcome front start to finish, excellent hosts, location and breakfast. Room and bed very comfortable and this fron someone that has several back surgeries. Ben and Julie made us feel very much at home, highly recommend and will certainly go back again.
Review 109:Bathroom a bit small but it will improved and made bigger in the coming months.
Review 110:Owners Ben and Julie are very friendly and wellcoming. Good Englisch breakfast. Good wifi. Free parking in front of the building. Located at the harbor with nice view on the boats. Sunshine enters the room in the morning. Located against the west side hills of the valley which protects against storm winds (we arrived with a southwester storm). The coastal walk to Polperro and back by bus. Visit to Dartmoor moors and Plymouth harbor at Cremyll. Cornwall is beautifull.
Review 111:It's a lovely guest house right on the side of the quay. It has every facility you could need, and the owners are extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast is second to none! I recommend it very highly and shall be staying there again.
Review 112:The view of the estuary was amazing from our room both at night and in the day. The owners are a lovely couple who are very friendly and accommodating. The main town is only a 5 min walk away. We will definitely stay here again.
