Vulcan Lodge Cottages are set in Llanwrthwl, 3.5 miles from Rhayader. These cottages have been converted from an 18th-century inn and are surrounded by lovely grounds, on the banks of the River Wye.
Each cottage at Vulcan Lodge has rustic design combined with stylish, modern elements. There is a lounge and a kitchen, and some cottages open onto a garden. Free Wi-Fi is available.
The property is ideally situated for walking, cycling, fishing and horse riding. You can go walking along the nearby Wye Valley Walk, while Brecon Beacons National Park and the Elan Valley can be reached in less than 40 minutes by car.

Review 1：Nothing really. I suppose if it's busy and has caravans outside your window it could be a bit claustrophobic but this wasn't the case for us.

Review 2：This was a well equipped and well resourced self catering lodge. If it wasn't in the lodge it wasprobably in either the extensive shop or the cafe that served lovely homecooked food.
