Review 11:The location of the hotel was great.
Review 12:Only thing missing was a full length mirror, and room was a bit over warm for our liking. Radiators turned off and windows open made it better.

Review 14:Had requested gluten free options at breakfast when I booked online but this wasn't followed up. I have had gluten free sausages there before when I have visited for breakfast but they weren't offered this time despite a prior request.
Review 15:Hotel staff left a lovely card and box of chocolates in our room to celebrate our anniversary
Review 16:We had difficulty turning the door handles both main door to unlock our bedroom and also the ensuite bathroom handle was difficult to operate.
Review 17:The food served in The Brasserie was delicious. Plenty to choose from at breakfast and first class evening meal. Staff courteous and helpful.

Review 19:Cannot really fault the Arden Hotel, but maybe some of the carpets in the corridors looked a little worn and tired.
Review 20:My husband and I booked into the Arden for one night and we cannot praise it enough. Wished we could have stayed longer. The room was wonderful, as was the breakfast the next morning. The location was perfect, just a few minutes walk into the town. The hotel facilities were very good and all the staff extremely helpful.
Review 21:Breakfast service was a little inattentive, but we were in no rush.
Review 22:Fantastic service otherwise, from start to finish, for a very reasonable price, with free parking and breakfast...!
Review 23:Ate in the restaurant. Food very good. Wine quite expensive.£8 bottle of Malbec charged at £30.
Review 24:Quality service. Easy check in & check out. large room.
Review 25:I stayed in an upper floor room and it felt quite dark and had low ceilings. I imagine rooms on lower floors are more airy. The rooms could have been cleaner - some dust in places and the carpet should have been hoovered better.
Review 26:excellent breakfast in a room overlooking the RSC and the river Comfy rooms and very nice bed.
Review 27:It was my husband's birthday and they gave us a completely upgrade on our room and he received a card and a box of chocolates. Which we thought was a lovely touch.

Review 33:Upgraded to superior suite as it was my birthday and chocolates put in room - nice touch! Was quiet despite central location and had option of opening windows or air con.
Review 34:Check out member of staff wasn't the friendliest. All other staff were excellent throughout the stay though.
Review 35:The hotel facilities and location were brilliant. Everywhere was immaculately clean which was lovely.
Review 36:A little noisy you could hear people walking outside in the corridor and people walking around in the room above but the bed was comfy, the bathroom was lovely and the breakfast excellent
Review 37:Great room, great food and very good value, lovely cocktails and excellent breakfast
Review 38:Problem with lack of hot water, but dealt with exceptionally. Breakfast service a little chaotic.
Review 39:Super comfy bed, nice and firm. Fabulous location. Very helpful staff, sorted an issue promptly and professionally. Tasty breakfasts, good quality choices. Would definitely recommend, and very likely to stay here again.
Review 40:Faulty bath plug so water escaped therefore bath unuseable. Requested ironing board but didn't arrive so had to request it again. Waited a long time to be seated for breakfast with waiting staff walking past and not acknowledging we were there. Had to request pot of tea at breakfast several times before it eventually arrived.
Review 41:Great location
Review 42:Nothing that we didn't like, except that the restaurant lacked ambience on Friday night as it was too quiet
Review 43:Beautiful hotel Excellent location SUPERB breakfast
Review 44:The room was very comfortable with a really massive king size bed complete with an abundance of pillows. The en-suite bathroom was huge & very modern!
Review 45:Public areas not very enticing, young staff need more training
Review 46:Location for a theatre visit is excellent Early theatre dinner is very good Great parking
Review 47:Noisy aircon at night and shower screen leaked onto floor.
Review 48:Comfort of bed and great service. Good finishings to the hotel and room. Nice soaps and hand washes.
Review 49:The shower was great at the bottom of the shower screen door required to get cleaned
Review 50:The bedrooms the size ant the large beds clean and fresh linen
Review 51:My Husband is partially disabled. We shall ask for a room nearer to Reception next time.
Review 52:Clean, comfortable and a touch of luxury. The pillows were wonderful. All the staff were kind and very helpful. We stayed here when it was a Thistle Hotel for the convenience. Now we shall stay for the hotel as well!
Review 53:Afternoon tea was spoiled by complete lack of service. Jam and cream never arrived and refill of teapot never happened. We had to chase staff . The tea itself was excellent, sandwiches etc.
Review 54:Proximity to town and parking free. Light and airy , also outdoor dining excellent for our breakfast.
Review 55:lovely rooms and a very pleasant staff. Excellent restaurant. I have stayed in almost all the hotels in Stratford at one time or another in a period of 40 plus years. The Arden must be the best.
Review 56:Staff could have smiled more and weren't very professional sometimes. Dining room was empty in the evening.
Review 57:Excellent riverside location. Well equipped room.
Review 58:Beautiful location, fabulous hotel and bedroom very luxurious. Huge bed with the most comfortable pillows ever had in a hotel. Turn down service in evening a very nice touch. Fantastic food, great staff, very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Can't praise our stay enough, will definitely be back. Thanks all.
Review 59:Room a bit hot and air-con didn't seem to make a big difference Noise of chatter from housekeeping staff in the corridor quite early in the morning Breakfast waitress not up to standard of other staff
Review 60:Location opposite RSC Efficient and good pre-theatre meal service Lovely room, spacious and comfortable, with excellent bathroom Great staff - reception and dinner Lots of tea bags!
Review 61:If being really picky, room looked bit tired and needed coat of paint to refresh.
Review 62:We have stayed here before! Comfy bed, good breakfast, relaxed time away.
Review 63:we did not have anything we did not like, all good.
Review 64:This hotel is very nice and the added touch is they show you to your room, when you have checked in .love this hotel.
Review 65:Nothing all was fab
Review 66:I stopped at the Arden hotel with my wife for a little getaway and we both loved it. Large room with massive bathroom and very cosy bed. little extras like bottled water, fruit and milk where welcomed. The breakfast is amazing with top quality produce and cooked to perfection so thanks for a great stay
Review 67:Abrupt attitude of barman on the Friday evening. Despite only 2 tables being occupied we were told we couldn't sit there for a drink but to go outside or to the lounge which was completely empty hence no atmosphere.
Review 68:Location and clean comfortable room. Bathroom was excellent. Alice the receptionist was very professional and friendly on our arrival.
Review 69:Room spacious clean and comfortable with high quality bedding, fixtures and facilities. House keeping excellent. All staff very helpful and professional. Food excellent. A great stay thanks.
Review 70:breakfast service lacking. Guest letter and breakfast room service menu poorly photocopied and on cheap paper. Snagging left in bathroom looks shabby. Nothing major wrong but for the price these things should be attended to.
Review 71:Very comfy bed and room not hot like most hotels seem to be
Review 72:The attention to detail and attentive staff were a breath of fresh air, beautifully appointed room. We received a generous upgrade and champagne for a birthday treat. absolutely magical stay. Fabulous location
Review 73:Love this Hotel. Always stay here when in Stratford. It's prefectly located right by the river overlooking the theatre. Luxurious bed rooms & great staff who will try to accomodate any requests. Would recommend ..
Review 74:Breakfast service was a bit slow if I'm being really picky and the bacon was a bit fatty.
Review 75:We stayed 1 night at the hotel to celebrate my 50th birthday. Our room was big, comfy, and we had a bay window that looked over at the waterside. The bathroom was fabulous with a huge deep bath. Another plus, the hotel had given us a complimentary bottle wine and chocolates, to celebrate my birthday. Breakfast was OK but it wouldn't put us off from staying again.
Review 76:Breakfast was OK but a little disappointing. The buffet table was limited - there were only 2 mini pastries left when we arrived.
Review 77:The location can't be beaten. Our room was also lovely - lots of thoughtful touches and a huge comfortable bed!
Review 78:Apart from the fact that it is a great hotel I would like to express my gratitude to the staff. My wife was unwell and they made sure our room was ready early so she could rest.
Review 79:Nothing to complain about! We got a good deal, so price was OK, but I believe it would normally be too expensive for us.
Review 80:The most comfortable hotel bed ever. Spacious, well designed rooms, with air conditioning that doesn't blast-chill you! Perfect location.
Review 81:3 of us came to stay and we were all very delighted with the room . It was spacious the bathroom was beautiful and everything was spotlessly clean . The breakfast was great too. We will defiantly be coming again . The staff were very friendly too.
Review 82:Superb location esp for RSC. Excellent reception - especially helpful Ibrahim. Very good value pre theatre dinner. Excellent breakfast. Very good (free) parking.
Review 83:Had very high expectations of food but dinner first night didn'tlive up to this. Expensive for Stratford upon Avon (second night we atelocally for about half the price and substantially better quality). Onreflection we should have complained at the time.
Review 84:Location, including free town centre parking. Bathroom was amazing. Bedvery comfortable; best nights sleep in weeks. Breakfast very good andstaff friendly and helpful.
Review 85:The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. It was located right next to the RSC theatre and had on site parking. The room was clean, smart and had a very comfy bed.
Review 86:Having to leave by ambulance in middle of night to Coventry hospital
Review 87:Comfort of room and the night porters help in calling paramedic. Not an experience to have again no discount from hotel although only had room available short time and no bkfast
Review 88:Poor service at evening meal. we'd booked for 5.30pm saying we were going to 7.15pm performance at RSC. we had to prompt staff to hurry up with our meal which eventually arrived at 6.20pm. However the starter we'd ordered never arrived even tho' we reminded staff twice! One of the meals was incorrect in part and the wine was also in part incorrect. We asked for a white and a red by name from the menu and were given 2 white wines. our waitress apologised but confessed she didn't really know one wine from another! Not the standard of service we expected, your Brasserie prices are higher than several alternative restaurants we could have chosen for a pre-Theatre meal and tho we would be very happy to stay at your hotel again we would probably opt for eating our evening meal out.. We spoke to the Brasserie manager who adjusted our bill by not charging for our wine or the 10% service charge, even so the £50 approx. final bill was not cheap. However the food itself, including the cheeseboard was delicious.
Review 89:Chosen for it's close proximity to RSC Theatre and it couldn't have been better. Excellent friendly welcome by concierge,. good size room and bathroom, quality toiletries, tasty brkfast.with good variety to choose from.
Review 90:Shower over bath said to be 'standard' for 'superior' rooms. Our shower not the easiest to use.
Review 91:Great location for theatre, helpful staff, little extras in rooms e.g. Towelling robes. Beakfast great choice and high quality. Fantastic vegetarian suasages
Review 92:.
Review 93:The Arden offers a very good post theatre supper when every other restaurant in Stratford is closed. Staff are friendly and the food excellent. Free car parking is a bonus.
Review 94:Nothing to say!
Review 95:As returning guests we love the Arden, breakfast is unbelievably good, staff are lovely and the rooms are beautiful. Will be returning to the Arden.
Review 96:Stairs, stairs, stairs. In this much extended building there is no lift and guests should be warned they will find stairs both to their rooms and down to the restaurant. Service at breakfast was a little haphazard.
Review 97:The Arden hotel is opposite the two RSC theatres - four minutes from hotel to auditorium. It is at the higher end of the price market for hotels in SuA but very well furnished. The restaurant is excellent. Dinner was delicious and there was a wide selection of breakfast items.
Review 98:Liked it all . The only comment is that The Brasserie could be more brasserie-like and less like a formal restaurant with a rather traditional menu.
Review 99:Location.
Review 100:The Car Park could do with better signage. Missed the entrance first time round.
Review 101:The room was very nice, the staff were all very professional and efficient, and the general ambiance was friendly and relaxed. Excellent hotel. Will be staying there again.
Review 102:Disabled access limited to some areas. Stair lift would be useless for heavy wheelchairs. I know there are some disabled bedroom facilities at ground floor level and food can be served downstairs, but sadly this lovely hotel would not be suitable for my friends who require the heavy motorized chairs for severely disabled.
Review 103:Friendly and helpful staff. Interesting menu . Food well cooked and presented. good wine list. I have travelled widely and often have considered hotels, especially in UK, overpriced- but this hotel is definitely worth it .
Review 104:The breakfast service was simply awful. The staff didn't seem to know what was happening. the restaurant manager was invisible, tea and coffee arrived without milk and in spite of 3 requests was eventually drunk black and cold. Buffet was nearly empty and not replenished. having paid for breakfast in our room rate we went out for breakfast on or 2nd morning. a number of other guests also complained and we heard later that a friend's daughter stays here frequently and reports the breakfast service is 'always poor'. mentioned this to the hotel reception and hopefully they have now reviewed this aspect. In all other respects the hotel staff and service were excellent.
Review 105:Reception staff Dinner service - food and staff Comfort of room Location In all a really good short break, let down by .......
Review 106:Not a single thing to improve on!
Review 107:Staff is exceptional; location central but quiet looking over the river; best bath I have ever had in England; great restaurant; nicely refurbished and appointed rooms
Review 108:No comfortable bar for the evening- a small separate area for coffee etc and an area which business people sat with laptops in the day.
Review 109:Location was very good
Review 110:No negatives.
Review 111:Your hotel is well run with a trained, attentive and alert staff. Your "Team" creates a warm feeling that everyone belongs to a " Family." We are looking forward to returning and trying other locations, too.
Review 112:Disability help - eg lifts, fewer stairs would have been helpful, but we understand the difficulties involved in installation, which were explained to us
Review 113:Efficiency and assistance of staff who were always considerate and charming Convenient for RSC and town Attractive hotel Facilities good Cooking and food presentation very good. Eating v.good usually excellent.
Review 114:The temperature in the room. Eveing with it switched off the warmth made a good night's sleep well nigh impossible.
Review 115:The location. The friendly, cheerful and efficient staff. Free convenient parking. Breakfast. Evening cocktails.
Review 116:My husband and I loved everything about the hotel. All the staff were most polite, helpful and keen to ensure everything was to our liking. We were there to celebrate our Ruby Wedding and delighted to receive a room upgrade and some bubbly to celebrate. Thank you so much to all at The Arden Hotel
Review 117:The hotel was situated within easy reach of the town centre and the staff were all very pleasent and helpful. The room was excellent and the comfort left nothing to be desired.
Review 118:Had a problem with the room having been set as a twin rather than double but this was immediately resolved once reported.
Review 119:Fantastic location, incredibly comfortable beds( fabulous pillows!)... Very easy to oversleep and miss the lovely breakfast!! Staff always friendly and helpful. After 4 visits can say that standards remain consistently high.
Review 120:not applicable
Review 121:the Arden is opposite the RSC in Stratford on Avon and our room overlooked it. we have stayed in the hotel before and enjoyed our stay. We were upgraded to a suite which was superb although the carpet hadn't been laid properly with many ridges in it. Breakfast was amazing as were the staff who couldn't do enough for us. We stayed for two nights but didn't have an evening meal but we will definitely return to the Arden again.
Review 122:A little bit corporate I felt, very business-like not particularly warm. Difficult to put into words but we stayed another night at the Swan in Stratford which did have a warmer feel.
Review 123:very high standard throughout and they had a magnifying mirror in the bathroom! So few places do.
Review 124:one slip. my husband ordered porridge and I ordered a cooked breakfast and they forgot about mine. When it eventually came the bacon was too well done.it wasn't up to the standard of the other meals.
Review 125:I like the atmosphere of the hotel. I like the facilities such as the Brasseree and Restaurant A good varied menu for light bites to three cause the décor of the bedrooms is good and very clean throughout..
Review 126:There was nothing we didn't enjoy during our stay
Review 127:I would like to thanks the attention to detail the staff at the Arden showed by presenting my partner with a box of chocs and a card for his birthday during our stay.
Review 128:We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate my husbands birthday. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was awesome. The breakfasts were really good great menu and well cooked. Have to say that the cocktails were tasty as well!
Review 129:The furniture in the bedroom showed signs of wear and tear.
Review 130:Centrally located close to the river, theatre and shops but very quiet.Lovely modern bathroom.Very comfortable bed.Excellent breakfast.Friendly staff.
Review 131:What wasn't there to like about the experience?
Review 132:The hotel was just over the road from the theatre. It was a real joy not to have to worry about parking the car before the performance and retrieving it afterwards. We came back from the performance for a stunning dessert from the menu.
