Reviews for Lyndhurst House B&B
Review 1:The traffic was so busy, it took a long time to get out, but that was the location, nothing to do with the B &B.
Review 2:The hosts were very helpful, the room clean and tidied every day.
Review 3:We were placed in one of the rooms under the roof - the room was tiny, ceilings too low and you have to bend in order to go around the bed! There was just a small isle of either side of the bed and that was all! Really small room that was not worth the money. On top of that - our towels were not changed even once for the three nights we spent there. On one of the days I asked for the room to be cleaned hoping that my towels (soaking wet at that time as weather was wet and cold outside and no heating was working to dry) will get changed. Unfortunately, the lady let the hang to dry in stead of just changing them.... so, we had to use hand towels to dry after shower.
Review 4:The hosts were very friendly and made us feel at home. They were very helpful too. The common areas in the B&B were very cosy and home like. The hosts also called each one guest by name which we really enjoyed. On the main street and within walking distance from town.
Review 5:From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home. Nothing was too much trouble; the room we stayed in was excellent with so many little touches I have never had before in any other B&B . Sewing kit, bottle opener, wine glasses and we were even provided with a small fridge for a pint of milk I bought for my tea! The four poster bed was extremely comfortable. We also had a sofa in our room. It was such great value we will be returning for a further visit.
Review 6:suprisingly although there were excellent choices for those who want a hearty breakfast there was no fresh fruit available for those who preferred a lighter breakfast.
Review 7:location,.comfort
Review 8:Peter and Nancy were very hospitable and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. They recommended the best places to eat and visit, all of which lived up to the hype. Would definitely recommend.
Review 9:The bed was hard and uncumfortable for my partner. The breakfast was very limited for choice and one would expect better for the price of the accomadation.
Review 10:Clean and central to Lydhurst
Review 11:We were made to feel very welcome by Peter and Nancy who were very knowledgeable about the area - there were plenty of leaflets available on places to visit. The breakfast was very well cooked. The room was of a good size and had everything you needed.
Review 12:Peter & Nancy are a very nice couple very helpful and knowledgeable about the area, we stayed in room 1 very comfortable, clean tea & coffee en-suite with shower. The breakfast was freshly cooked with a good choice to set you up for the day ahead, look forward to returning one day.

Review 17:I bumped my head a few times from the low beams in the loft bedroom we had. The bed wasn't as comfortable as I'd like. WiFi connectivity was flaky.

Review 20:everything lovely owners. great breakfast nice an clean room. Would stay again.
Review 21:We were at the top of the house so a bit of a climb but the owner without asking immediately took our luggage and lugged it up himself without being asked so it was not really a problem
Review 22:Excellent service, friendly owners and very good breakfast too!
Review 23:Room was tiny and not big enough for a couple with two suitcases. I even rang ahead as some of the rooms had low ceilings so we were moved to a room that was supposed to be more comfortable. Shower room was tiny and had v low pressure. Shame - I wanted to like this place...
Review 24:Staff - friendly welcome
Review 25:There did seem to be a rather strong permanent smell of stale smoke outside the rooms and in reception which seemed a tad odd in view of the No Smoking signs everywhere! This did pervade into the bedroom if the door was left open for more than a brief moment. The only negative of an otherwise excellent and enjoyable stay.
Review 26:Pete and Nancy were excellent hosts throughout. Room fully met expectations and the breakfast was good.
Review 27:Nothing to dislike.
Review 28:Nancy and Peter are the nicest people you could meet, nothing is too much trouble. Perfect location for exploring. Lovely bedroom and terrific breakfasts. Would definitely stay again.
Review 29:rooms upstairs only to reach via steep stairs (not good for heavy suitcases), breakfast is poor, parking very tight, location next to main road (noisy) - if you are looking for nature (because you want to visit the National Park!) this is the wrong place to stay
