Review 1：A bit dated but that actually adds to the charm
Review 2：location is safe for solo travellers as there is the hotel restaurant (good meal but limited menu), but there are 2 or 3 restaurants within 100 yards.making it safe for solo female travellers. Hotel was very comforting and I felt nice and relaxed

Review 9：The American theme is everywhere but so tasteful. Staff very friendly .Rooms very clean, with comfortable beds and gleaming white bed linen and bath towels. First class breakfast and good value too. Good secure underground car parking. Would definitely stay again.
Review 10：Hotel is located next to bus station and pedestrianised area where local youths tend to gather. In order to walk to the riverside had to run the gauntlet of a few town drunks sitting nearby . Nothing too bad but could be a bit intimidating to some.

Review 14：Booked a family room for three adults. The rooms were labelled "Prestige room" but was so small it was unbelievable. There was a lot of noise outside from local teenagers well into the early hours. An experience though. Local restaurants good.

Whilst the rooms were small they (and the bathrooms) were in good condition and very clean. The proprietor was lovely and spoke very good English. Breakfast was great. Secure underground parking.

Review 103：The hotel was closed when we arrived around 3.00pm and we had to make phone calls to get access. After settling our bill as presented by the hotel we were chased into the car park as we were leaving for a further 8 euros which we were informed we had underpaid! We paid it and left.

We were happy with the hotel but disappointed that the town was so quiet (although the area next to the canal and hotel seemed to be a bit of a gathering place for late-night drinkers and there was a very noisy drunken argument going on til midnight).
Review 110：The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. All we needed for a one-night stopover en route from Dordogne to Calais. Underground parking could be useful although with our roofbox we were too tall to fit and had to park on road outside hotel. Nice to have view of canal.

Review 115：No smoking rooms opened onto a flat roof that was full of cigarette ends and rooms did not smell very clean. The toilet in our room smelled of stale urine. Rooms would definitely benefit from a major refurbishment

Review 126：This was the oddest hotel - very kitsch and felt it needed a complete overhaul. Admittedly it was meant to be Hollywood 50/60s themed but it made it feel like the place needed a good clean and some fresh paint.
