Reviews for B&B Hôtel Vierzon

Review 1:No restaurants nearby

Review 2:Conveninient when travelling south but no aminities, no restaurants or anything nearby. Friendly staff. Continental breakfast, overall good value for money.

Review 3:The size of the room to say the least was too small for a couple the en suite was also too small. There was not enough storage space for hanging clothes up,nor were there any drawers to store anything. There was also the smell of sewage on the 1st floor corridor and also in the en suite. The lights on the staircase was inadequate and the free WiFi was not reliable.

Review 4:The shower was the best part of the room.

Review 5:Morning reception was not friendly. Wi-fi was slow(?) and erratic.

Review 6:Evening reception, very friendly and helpful lady speaking very good English. Location - in the city and yet close to the highways. Free and spacious parking. Room & bathroom very clean, hallway (common area) carpets not so. Excellent bathroom, modern fixtures and large, glass shower cabin, hot water and good water pressure. Room layout and decor. Comfortable bed. Breakfast - excellent selection including hot scrambled eggs with sausages (this non-typical in France, normally the French p'tit dejeuner is only a croissant, jam, coffee/tea and juice).

Review 7:Rooms were very small, shower and toilet room extremely small. No tea or coffee making facilities nor facility for staff to fill a flask with hot water. Very poor in these regards. Noisy clients. Bathroom door broken, would not shut and room smelled damp and musty.

Review 8:Not a lot.

Review 9:Could not access the property on arrival. The touch screen pad outside the b&b asked for a 6digit code from our reservation no. Our reservation no. Was however 8digits long. So we had to wait an hr until a member of staff arrived to let us in. Staff did not understand what we were trying to say

Review 10:Fabulous large, comfy bed

Review 11:The room was next to reception and the noise of late night and early morning coming and going was disturbing. The sheets on the bed were slightly damp - quick change-round? and consequently it led to a very poor nights sleep

Review 12:The hotel was easy to find and staff were helpful

Review 13:There were a lot of flies where we were eating which wasn't great

Review 14:Food was excellent and the room had a balcony looking out across an expansion of fields with horses Really nice budget hotel

Review 15:Unable to get in to room after a meal out no staff and emergency number no one answering the the phone. Plus we were not given all the required code numbers for the rooms

Review 16:No evening meal had to go the Buffalo grill .75 of a mile away which was nice. No staff after 9pm Computer on outside of hotel did not recognise booking in number. Breakfast only average

Review 17:Not a lot but the rooms were clean and tidy

Review 18:Twin beds as we are used to double bed. Quilts on single beds not large enough for us and kept coming off We are normal size quite slim people so ask for double bed if that is what you are used to.

Review 19:Convenience, newly refurbished rooms and the budget price. Comfortable beds.

Review 20:Not a bad experience with the hotel. The town itself is very rundown, shortage of restaurants. (We dislike fast-food outlets after a day at work!). When in France we prefer French food, all we could find within walking was asian/american :(

Review 21:location to motorway, breakfast and comfort within the room. Very quiet

Review 22:The renovations which B&B have undertaken. Beds superb and large. Rooms are small but that is minor compared with the comfort of the bed and bathroom. Excellent stopover.

Review 23:receptionist more bothered about listening to music thru headphones. offered us a room that was occupied. first said we had paid then not. 2nd room offered full of flies, cold and very small. final room upstairs (no lift) also cold and very small. these are sjngle rooms with a large bed that takes up almost the whole room!

Review 24:Nothing really. breakfast ok but not what I would call "gourmet" as stated in their advertising.

Review 25:Room absolutely the minimum size for two people! My husband couldn't turn round in the shower!

Review 26:Clean, quiet, completely up to scratch for the type of hotel.

Review 27:Shower cubicle was tiny. As I turned the tap was hit making it either scalding hot or cold. Smell of drains, very noticeable in the toilets on the ground floor.

Review 28:The hotel had great access to the motorways. Bed was comfortable. Many places to eat close by. Breakfast was good - even had scrabled eggs and bacon!

Review 29:The people in the room opposite were going in and out of their room until quite late at night. Perhaps some notices to ask guests to consider others might be useful.

Review 30:Great location, just off the motorway.

Review 31:The room was so small that had we had the cat with us, we couldn't have swung the unfortunate beast. The room had all the feeling of a budget cabin on a car ferry but without the spectacular sea views. The toilet & shower were so small and cramped that the simplest of tasks made it sound like I was wrecking the place. Also the staff left in the evening giving the place the air of an open prison. But for a budget, zero-frills stop-off, it does the job. But in a compact way.

Review 32:The hotel was convenient to the motorway and also the town was quite close. The breakfast was good value for money.

Review 33:Well, I forgot, sorry

Review 34:The setting, primarily. Along the most french river Cher, with nice restaurants and other amenities next door. With a sprinkle of this unspeakable atmosphere of idiosyncratic France in the (pre-war) good old days still lingering. Should be preserved in formalin really. Everything else about the hotel was just nice and pleasant, dot.

Review 35:Nothing.

Review 36:Newly decorated and refurbished rooms, bedding, bed, bathroom etc. Rooms bit small but adequate when you are travelling. All good at a super budget price.

Review 37:The lack of details on how to get in. There is only someone on reception between certain hours. You learn more from other hotel guests than from reception.'

Review 38:The room was very small but very clean and well laid out. I would use it or another one of their hotels again if given the chance. We paid extra for the breakfast but there was loads of choice and all very fresh.

Review 39:Soap dispenser did not work. Advised staff but no response. Had breakfast at Campanile because no one advised us that we had to pre-book even after enquiring what time breakfast started.

Review 40:Only one restaurant within walking distance. No bars open within walking distance, apart from the Tabac, who had just run out of beer. Local supermarket nearby for a picnic instead!

Review 41:Room basic but clean and comfortable, and good shower. Staff friendly but busy at breakfast.

Review 42:The beds were so uncomfortable. After a very long journey I expected I'd sleep like a log, not on one!!! Position of hotel, a bit too 'out of town', too far to walk to anywhere of interest or a nice eatery/bar.

Review 43:Rooms were clean and it was reasonably quiet even with the window open, although we were at the back of the building, I doubt it was quiet for residents on the front as the hotel is located on a very busy road junction.

Review 44:Unable to book in before 5.00 pm which meant 2 hours hanging around waiting for them to open The location only has proximity to motorway to offer, the area was shabby and uninteresting.

Review 45:Very well refurbished and clean. We were pleasantly surprised with B & B and will use them again. Room was small but well designed. Excellent value.

Review 46:Lack of toiletries, rooms too cramped, disorganised breakfast facilities, possibly due to understaffing. Price dearer than quoted at time of booking.

Review 47:Parking, advice on where to eat given by evening receptionist, air conditioning, sound insulation.Comfort of bed.

Review 48:On arrival found Hotel was being renovated; no prior warning, with aircon units being fitted in every room. Rooms were dusty from the work & not cleaned beforehand, & had bare wires etc. Disturbed by early start of workmen. Staff gave no help or apology. Poor security at times. The hotel should not have been taking bookings or on your website.

Review 49:Air con not working and no staff to contact. Window/door unable to open. Wondered whether booking with booking.com was the reason we had this room as it was cheaper than published price.

Review 50:The hotel is currently installing Air Conditioning which was plain to see as there were some holes in the roof. However, that wasn't much good to us when we stayed as the rooms must have been 30+ degrees. The road outside was busy with trucks and loud motorbikes frequently passing by so it was less than pleasant to open the window. We both had an extremely poor nights sleep. Do NOT stay here during the summer months unless there is AC installed.

Review 51:It was cheap and easy access to the motorway. Good value breakfast @ €6

Review 52:Breakfast was very poor and not what was described when checking in. Very little variety available on the buffet breakfast.

Review 53:Room was comfortable & clean. Sited on the edge of Vierzon with good access and on-site parking. Buffalo Grill close by for evening meal.

Review 54:Due to lack of demand scrambled egg was jaded. Bacon excellemt.

Review 55:There is a good Chinese Restaurant a few minutes walk away.

Review 56:Easy to find, as this Hotel is located a short distance from the A71...

Review 57:I only found 1 restaurant within walking distance for an evening meal, and that was poor on a Monday evening

Review 58:Good value for an overnight stop

Review 59:Both rooms were very small and nowhere to get food nearby

Review 60:Cheap and dog friendly

Review 61:Perfect for one night stay on our way home

Review 62:Friendliness of staff .nice breakfast.

Review 63:Poor access for wheelchair.

Review 64:Good location with access to local amenities.

Review 65:perfect A++++++++++++

Review 66:bathroom too small

Review 67:location

Review 68:Thought the hotel was in a poor location in Vierzon, a long way away from the town centre.

Review 69:The price was very competitive.

Review 70:Located on the edge of town, one restaurant nearby otherwise a journey into the town centre necessary to get a choice of restaurants.

Review 71:the staff young French girl speaking English brilliant very helpful

Review 72:We chose this b&b as a one night stop over en route to Vitrac. It was basic but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good value.

Review 73:Comfort of the bed good location

Review 74:Close to autoroute

Review 75:Convenient stop over ,close to motorway . Basic room but adequate for 1 night .

Review 76:Location. Much further from Vierzon than claimed.

Review 77:Really nice room.

Review 78:Very easy to find, close to supermarket with fuel pumps.

Review 79:Nothing really

Review 80:Great location just off the Autoroute with a good American themed restaurant close by. Very friendly receptionist and nice clean room

Review 81:Nothing

Review 82:Clean comfortable good sized room

Review 83:Wifi connection a bit complicated

Review 84:Friendly staff

Review 85:All TV in french could do with sky for English channels, wifi didn't get the code sent

Review 86:Quiet peaceful clean value for money hotel

Review 87:Arrived at 21.00, 30 min after checking in time and did not have an entry code. It then took over an hour to be able to make contact to gain entry.

Review 88:Room small

Review 89:Location

Review 90:The reception closed between 11am and 5 pm

Review 91:Price

Review 92:very dirty all around, bathroom, breakfast area!!

Review 93:No Bar

Review 94:Staff and location

Review 95:nothing

Review 96:very convenient, clean and quiet. Just perfect for a night stop.

Review 97:The room was a bit cramped.

Review 98:Good breakfast. We slept as we were tired. Supermarket near by within walking distance.

Review 99:Easy to find from the motorway, a clean and modern facility perfect for our family: two double rooms which were thoughtfully next to each other.

Review 100:all positive

Review 101:Friendly helpful staff, convenient location, comfy bed, good breakfast

Review 102:Rooms very small and shower VERY small. Small vending machine has sandwiches and small number of option micro dinners or very limited local food outlets. It is situated in the older more run down side of town. That said it is close to the other budget hotels.

Review 103:Easy access from motorway. Good breakfast. Accepts pets at charge. Clean rooms.

Review 104:Soap dish only in the shower and difficult to get to for use at the basin. I have been in two rooms and it is impossible to shower without soaking the room. Hammering and shouting from engineers from 22.45 to 23.40 on one evening when a lift had broken. I am 71 and had been driving for six hours so I went to bed early only to be awoken and kept awake for nearly one hour. Shame because the hotel is nice.

Review 105:Nice and clean

Review 106:1 Difficulty gaining access when arriving late as the booking.com details did not contain the booking reference that we needed to access the hotel booking system. 2 Shower cubical bit on the small size 3 Unable to connect to the WiFi

Review 107:Rooms have been significantly upgraded since it was the Marmotte

Review 108:Asked on booking.com reservation form for a ground floor room as my husband suffers with arthritic hip. Room booked six weeks in advance. On arrival was told it was no good putting special requests on the booking form and we should have telephoned first!! Had to have first floor room. Very impersonal hotel, but excellent stopover.

Review 109:The refurbished rooms, new bed linen, carpet and curtains, lovely shower, comfortable bed - all good and value for money.

Review 110:Being accused of not paying for my breakfast. Billed as secure parking............there were no gates or fences as there are at Moneteaux where I usually stay.

Review 111:Clean white bedding. Good shower and more spacious than Moneteaux. The morning staff let it down.very badly..neither one smiled once............the night porter was very nice.

Review 112:Reception not manned until 5.00 pm making earlier access a problem. Should be made clear on booking.com site.

Review 113:Very clean room adequately equipped. Hot drinks vending machine. Convenient to autoroute.supermarket with fuel very close by.

Review 114:We expected a small room, but the bathroom was really too tiny to be very practical. Anybody significantly overweight would really struggle with it. The breakfast was over priced for what you got (croissants were dry for example) and there was no fresh fruit.

Review 115:Clean and reasonably cheap. Easily accesible from autoroute. Staff pleasant.

Review 116:My problem was with Booking.com, unfortunately we arrived at the hotel late you give a confirmation number of 588010738, we tried to but that number into the automatic booking in front of the hotel but B & B do not recognise your numbers and we had to get the hotel staff to open up the reception at 10.00 pm, B & B have a problem in some hotel in understanding how to access booking from booking.com. I do not know were the problem is, but it needs to be looked at. David Massey

Review 117:The rear bedrooms are very quiet with good beds.

Review 118:Toilet was very smelly and tainted the whole room. I thought it was clear if I flushed the toilet. I went out and returned after 1 hour but the stench was still there. I was very tired and the receptionist wasnt there. The bathroom floor was sticky. There was soap but no shower gel.

Review 119:The couple running the hotel were excellent , very polite and helpful, however this is a budget hotel with a capita B in a poor state of decoration and well in need of a facelift.

Review 120:Too noisy by far and too warm to keep window shut

Review 121:rooms could be better soundpfoofed would prefer more pillows

Review 122:great value plenty of parking staff very helpful

Review 123:Bathroom a bit small, but very clean.

Review 124:Comfortable large bed, staff friendly and helpful. Easy access from motorway.

Review 125:the shower cubicle is extremely small

Review 126:excellent, clean and cheap accommodation in a good location for the motorway

Review 127:Convenient location for overnight stay for which it is best suited. Good price for both room and very adequate breakfast.
