Review 2：Excellent hotel. Lovely spacious rooms, nice balconies with glass railing. Stunning views. Excellent buffet breakfast. Very clean updated rooms. In 2 weeks of travel on Crete this was our favourite hotel.

Review 9：We had a nice room with a great see view, and the balcony allow to enjoy it fully! Waking up every morning with this view was just fantastic. The room was large, the bed was very comfortable! Breakfast is nice with many choices.

Review 14：Lovely clean and comfortable hotel. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The location is superb and it is quiet and restful while being in the hub of Ierapetra, Crete, on the seafront. 5 minutes walk from the bus station, so very convenient also.

Review 15：Perfect Location at the Promenade (doesn't mean its loud!), the Hotel is super clean and comfortable, the Staff is very friendly - the Owner is incredibly nice and helpful, he gave us some amazing hints for places to visits and restaurants, the Breakfast at the beach (well 5m away from the shore) is so relaxing and tastes great :) My friends and I did not want to leave the hotel, we felt at home. Would definitely stay again and again there :)

Review 16：The sea view room. Wonderful views over the Libyan Sea. Located right on the front with easy access to many excellent tavernas and bars. Extremely friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. Would recommend this hotel 100%.

I stated that I wanted a room with sleeping arrangements for 3 and possibly 4 she had stated that she could accommodate one day before departure I was hit with an extra 150 Euro claiming this room was only for two wifi was available on the first day then it was cut off there was access in the hallway outside room. bedding on sofa bed where two people slept was a small blanket for a small child. Told that they don't change towels every day and take care not to dirty them...Breakfast average

Review 49：The staff were without exception very helpful and friendly. They advised us on places to go and helped with taxis. We arrived at about 01:15 due to our flight being delayed and this didn't seem to be a problem. We loved the location of the hotel. We had a balcony with a sea view - the sea is about 30 yards from the hotel. The shower was 'over the bath' and I was a bit put off by this but it was an excellent shower. No issues with temperature or water pressure. Bathrobes were lovely. There are a dozen or so tavernas along the front and we ate in a few of them. The Cretans are so friendly & generous with all the food they give when you order a drink . We loved the food! Can't wait to go back.

Review 50：Take your own travel kettle as there's none provided, which is unusual in a hotel of this standard. In the bathroom a couple more hooks and a towel rack in there would be handy as the limited surface space is entirely covered by the supply of towels and bathrobes and the 2 hooks provided are quickly taken up with towels in use - so nowhere to hang clothes or bathrobes. If I could improve one thing what would it be? I'd give housekeeping and maintenance an early wake-up call to break out the chrome polish before this beautiful property becomes a once-beautiful hotel. That said anywhere near the sea is subject to salty assault by the elements over the winter and as I was there pre-season it could be that this was on the To Do list for the arrival of the full complement of staff in May.

Review 51：Beyond a shadow of doubt the very best thing about this hotel is it's seafront location; most of the resorts in Crete are on the north coast and so Ierapetra's south facing aspect gives a rare combination of sun on your balcony and a sea view. The view is straight out to sea over the promenade and well worth the price. I stayed here for 2 nights on a late April tour of the island and didn't want to leave! The room was large and beautifully appointed and included plenty of surface space, hanging space, drawers, place to rest your suitcase at a convenient height, room safe and fridge. Bathroom well fitted with full size tub and shower over. Being pre-season the restaurant was still closed for winter, but breakfast was provided and this was of very good quality. Ierapetra is a 'real' town with some income from tourism, not a resort town and personally I prefer this. There are proper shops in the streets behind the hotel (check out the Italian shoes at Diverso), not just t-shirt and flip-flop vendors. Be aware that this town has more one way streets than Milton Keynes has roundabouts and getting to the hotel for the first time can be tricky until you learn how. The esplanade is pedestrianised, so you arrive at the lobby to the landward side, one block back and that road flows west to east only. If you get to the Astron (bigger, bluer), you've gone too far and the El Greco (dove grey) is 75 yards/ metres behind you, but you'll have to go around the block to get back to it! This is a more sophisticated place than it's neighbours and would also be suitable for business travellers.

Review 52：El Greco is a very nice hotel with very kind owners willing to help you on every request you have. The rooms are very comfortable, huge beds, amazing bathroom that could be a separate room(!!!). The quality of the materials used for the construction and decoration of the hotel are of very high quality! Important (for those need to work during holiday) the free use of WiFi internet access with good signal and reliable connection. Last but not least the balconies are very comfortable with amazing view to the sea. We really enjoyed our stay in El Greco Hotel and we will definitely come back!
