Review 1：Some areas seem to need some refreshment, outdated TV in suite sitting section- not a PROBLEM THOUGH.

Review 7：What many disappointed us this year is that over half of our stay was quite noisy companies on the "quiet" Pool and none of the staff do not make the remark. To avoid misunderstandings and people are aware of, please put a sign "quiet" pool!!!

Review 11：The cheaper rooms are tired and in need of a revamp, particularly the mouldy bathrooms. The beach is not fit for purpose and the photos on the hotel website, once again, are not to true form. The pool at the original hotel building is in need of a revamp, as is the general garden and surrounding area to that building.

Review 12：The hotel is deceptive and split into two parts; if you book the cheaper rooms ie the ones without the pool for example you end up in the original hotel buildings, which are simply not 5 star! For the sake of a few extra pounds, suggest book the rooms in the hotel photos, which do exist and are really rather lovely. Reception and customer service is first class and he breakfast area (one of the many separate buildings) is superb, as is breakfast itself!

Review 13：There are two hotels actually next to each other. One is old the other one is new. They do not mention it during booking. They couldn't find our reservation first. Then, we provided hard copy of booking and number. They said they found it and upgraded our room but both were not correct I believe. Beach is terrible.

Review 25：When we walked through the gate from the hotel grounds to the rather dirty private beach, we encountered a group of 6 or 7 stray (wild) dogs relaxing on the sand, plagued by mange and obviously suffering from other diseases as well. The so-called "private pool" of our "suite" (180 eu/night) was a bathtub-sized basin by the terrace, bordered without barriers on both sides by other "private pools". The wi-fi service did not work very well in the room.

Review 27：they've changed a few rules and beach towel pick up locations a couple of times during our week long stay. Inconvenient and annoying. The angry with her life woman in the fitness club was extremely unhelpful and rude. The beach is dirty. Unacceptably dirty and it's very difficult to get a hold of the guy who's supposed to help you out or serve drinks. The staff at the restaurant was very polite and helpful, but the food was bad. Absolutely no variety for breakfast, which gets worse when there really isn't much choice in the first place. Had dinner once in the hotel restaurant. Didn't make that mistake twice.

Review 51：At our arrival we saw that th Astir and Egnatia are two completely different looking Hotels! They are in the same resort but the rooms of Egnatia are old and Astir rooms are renovated and new. This was not mentioned on booking. We booked a room for two persons and got one with two single beds pushed together... With every movement they split apart... Be carefull to mention that you need one bed for two an not two single beds. But what I liked is that when I complained I got moved to another room.

Review 55：As a minus is without a doubt the indoor pool that besides its small length was freezing cold and the women/men separated sauna and hammam. There wasn't much of a spa and that's pity. The minibar was empty just a bottle of water inside it...the room as a negative side needed modernization ( new furniture, new tv's, newer and cleaner sofa and ..pillows that are not flat as a mat).

Review 69：The cleanliness in the hotel is of doubtful quality. The bathtub is almost in the room and if you want to take a shower, you have to get into it. It was clogged and one wonders how they managed to clean and desinfect it. The bathtaps and the taps of the shower were out of order. The shower was dripping and could be heard all through the night. The air-conditining gave off a smell of cigarette smoke. In the evening, when I asked how I could take a shower (since the bathtub was clogged and the taps were not functioning), I was advised to take a shower in the morning when the plumber was to come and fix it. If you are in Alexandroupoli and all the other hotels are reserved, and your only choice is the Astir Egnatia hote,l or a bench in the park – go for the bench in the park!

Review 70：This is the fourth time we have been to this hotel and it just keeps getting better and better. Excellent location near the town and by the sea. Good parking nice people. We will go again next year.

Review 89：No air conditioning and no internet 3 days of 7. Host 1 noisy weddings until 1:30 am. Cleaning is done lightly, even when accommodation is not clean. WC is in a room with no sink, sink and shower are in the room. The sea beach is dirty and inadequately.

Review 91：Starting from the beginning we thought it was something fishy as they were upgrading rooms to everybody for free. The room we were upgraded to was a modern design with shower in the room and so on but it was so worn, dusty and soiled around the shower, the sheets were yellow and had hairs in them > that made us sick instantly. The original room (superior) was something not as filthy but very very small (something like 16sqm), two suitcases and a small bed for the child and that was it. This superior room looks like a 2* or a private guest house, old, dusty and renovated in rush where they changed something, the toilet seat was set at something like centimeters and my son could barely climb on it. Mold around the sink and bathtub... yuck! Breakfast is the same every day with limited options for vegetarians! If you have no other option to stay bring your Clorox with you to this filthy place! Definitely not worth it and not going there again.

Totally unacceptable.
