Reviews for Les Célestins
Review 1:We had a lovely breakfast(included in the price - unusual in France).Local yogurt and great croissant and coffee,Bonne Maman Jam. We paid a little extra for a room over looking the river, well worth it .
Review 2:Booking.com has this hotel opening at 1700hrs. In fact it only opened at 1800hrs. No matter how good a place, this sort of thing leaves a bad taste. Incidentally, at the moment staff are there until 1500hrs - then return at1800hrs - but then that simple knowledge was not available on the Booking's website! The restaurant was close to rubbish - steak came out lukewarm; asked for it to be given two short burst(both sides) on the grill; everything came back hot inc the potato, the zuccini and the tomatoes. That's what happens when it is microwaved. A fellow and his wife next to us had pizzas - they were inedible.
Review 3:Room over river very pleasant. 47 large steps to get to it - not the end of the world but.......
Review 4:Bad smell from bathroom/sink
Review 5:Location Good budget option (beware of smell though)
Review 6:None
Review 7:a nice place for a few days. Quiet and relaxing
Review 8:Arrived during busy evening service at the restaurant. Staff introduced themselves and showed us to our room offering to help with luggage. We staying in room 12 facing the river and main town square. The room was clean and tidy with lovely high ceilings and a good sized bathroom. Everything worked as needed. The view and noise from the river is lovely and bed was very comfortable. Parking was easy to find on nearby streets and was free of charge. Breakfast in the morning is served on the terrace and was everything you would expect from a French hotel. The town is great for young people looking to experience a proper French place with ample bars and restuarants all at good value for money. Great value for money all round.
Review 9:Great location in the centre of the city. Walked to our evening meal. Nicely served breakfast in the morning. Staff were very helpful.
